The Original Literary Review of Bram Stoker's 'DRACULA'

The original literary review of Bram Stoker’s 'Dracula' in 'The Bristol, England, Times And Mirror' on 8 June 1897 was not overwhelming. But the classic novel's public response was positive.

We must confess at the outset that we prefer to avoid novels cast in diary form. But Mr. Bram Stoker explains that these papers have been placed in sequence and that how this has been done will be manifest to the reader as he proceeds.

Jonathan Harker’s journal sets forth, in the first place, his quest for Castle Dracula. The district he had to travel “is in the extreme east of the country, just on the borders of three States, Transylvania, Moldavia, and Bukovina, in the midst of the Carpathian Mountains, one of the wildest and least known portions of Europe. I was not able to light on any map or work giving the exact locality of Castle Dracula, as there are no maps of this country as yet to compare with our own Ordnance Survey maps. Still, I found that Bistictz, the post-town named by Count Dracula, is a fairly well-known place.” The author gives us some graphic sketches of the country and its people, and shortly receives a hearty welcome from Count Dracula to his “beautiful land.”

But the Count was a mystery. When the landlord was asked by the traveler if he knew Count Dracula, “and could tell me anything of his castle, both he and his wife crossed themselves, and saying they knew nothing at all, simply refused to speak further. It was so near the time of starting that I had no time to ask anyone else, for it was all very mysterious, and not by any means comforting.”

Jonathan Harker’s account of his approach to the castle is very powerfully told; but we feel as we read it that we are getting deeper and deeper into a land of shadows, weird and uncanny. A further acquaintance with Count Dracula certainly does not diminish the mystery about that person. We wish we had space to quote the very clever piece of writing which reveals the fact that Jonathan Harker, the bearer of the sealed letter from Hawkins, and Count Dracula were the only inhabitants of the castle. “I have only the Count to speak with, and he! I feel I am myself the only living soul within the place. Let me be prosaic, so far as facts can be; it will help me to bear up, and imagination must not run riot with me. If it does I am lost.”

To those who are fond of the ghastly and the gruesome, “Dracula” will be welcome to read. The story is cleverly constructed and brilliantly told, and we do not think we can add further praise to the manner in which Mr. Bram Stoker sets forth the mysterious and the awful. – London: Archibald Constable and Co., 2, Whitehall Gardens.

Canadian Woman Records FREAKISH WOMEN FEEDING ON ROTTING DEER CARCASS! (VIDEO)

A nature lover’s wildlife camera captured the disturbing moment when a pair of near-naked women held a supposed 'carcass-eating ritual' near her home after sundown.

Corinea Stanhope found a dead deer at the bottom of her garden in Powell River, British Columbia while riding her horse when she decided to set up a trail cam to see if it would attract other animals.

“There was a dead deer so me and my grandpa put up a trail camera to see if we could see animals and we got a bobcat [on camera], which was pretty cool,” she said. Stanhope was shocked by what she saw when her grandpa showed her the footage the next day.

“I came the next day and Grandpa said he’d got naked people on the camera and I said ‘No you didn’t. So he showed me,” she said. Images from the cam show two figures with matted hair wearing only loincloths standing over the dead deer and appearing to eat parts of its body.

“They came ten minutes after sunset. They looked disheveled. It looks like they have wigs on. One looks like she has blonde hair underneath,” Stanhope said. The women, with hair obscuring their faces, appear to squat down and reach for the rotted carcass before picking up a hoof and taking a bite.

“I don’t know what the heck was up with that. It really freaked us out, it’s not something you see every day,” she said. “You can’t really tell from the photos but the hoof was brought right up to her mouth. I don’t know if she was kissing it, smelling or eating it but to touch a decaying carcass like that makes me feel sick,” she continued. “The amount of bacteria that must have been on there. Maybe they were paying their respects but they were naked. It really creeped me out because it’s only a two-minute walk from our house and I was concerned about them messing with my horses at night.”

Stanhope said locals have been claiming she captured images of witches or evil spirits and there are even rumors of a cult in her area.

“A lot of people mentioned skin walkers and wendigos,” she said. “There are rumors around town about a cult that collects animal bones. I don’t know if it’s real or not.”

Stanhope said she’d noticed her horses in the past seemed “spooked and unnerved” around that area where the women were spotted.

“Some people have mentioned it since I posted the photos. A friend said they came across two people in the woods carrying some dead squirrels,” she claimed. “The horses always get really spooked and unnerved around that area. I thought they imagined stuff at first so I didn’t think anything of it. Maybe I believe them now.”

In other news, Stanhope’s camera also spotted a bobcat near the carcass later.

“The Gods Hate Kansas”

The first time I came across the idea of flying saucers from other planets camouflaging themselves inside of easily identifiable celestial objects such as asteroids, comets, and meteorites was when, in my youth as a student at Moody Junior High School in Bedford, Ohio, I read Joseph Millard’s science fiction novel, The Gods Hate Kansas (Derby, Connecticut: Monarch Books, Inc., 1964). In this story, Dr. Curt Temple, a professor of astrophysics and meteoritics at a prominent Kansas university, is woken up in the middle of the night when he receives a telephone call from an administrator of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) in Washington, D.C., informing him that astronomers at observatories in the Southwest have reported a swarm of at least nine meteorites plotted on a trajectory to crash within a one-hundred-mile radius of his location. Insofar as Temple heads up a meteoritics team headquartered in the astronomy department at his university, he is asked to round up all the members of his team and go out to the crash site to examine the fallen meteors and take samples for further analysis.

The book, apart from being engaging science fiction, was very informative insofar as learning about meteorites is concerned. Wrote Millard, “Of an estimated 24 million meteors that strike the Earth’s atmosphere every day, no more than four or five fragments of any size were recovered in an average year. Most of these were not found until vital clues to their nature and origin had been lost or weathered away. The infant science of meteoritics was built almost entirely from ancient falls and a study of the meteoric dust in the atmosphere.” In The Gods Hate Kansas, however, the fall of nine fresh, intact meteors on a nearby Kansas farm provides Temple and his team the opportunity to find the answers to a thousand burning questions they had been asking themselves about meteors for over a decade.

Temple’s meteoritics team was headquartered in Kansas largely because, as the astrophysicist explains, “For a reason no scientist can explain, more stony meteorites strike little Kansas than any other place on Earth. One-third of all known North American aerolite falls, and one-sixth of those reported in the world, have been in Kansas. Despite a sparse population, more falls have been witnessed in Kansas than anywhere else on Earth. Kansas receives more stones than any other state, more than any two states west of the Mississippi.” Surely, with nine new ones to push this imbalance in favor of Kansas even further, Temple and his team members were elated.

Topping Off the UFO Flap of 1973

One would think that any other UFO sightings remaining to be reported following the abduction of Charles Hickson and Calvin Parker on 11 October 1973, would be, by comparison, considered in the ufology community to be “mediocre,” at best. But along came comet Kohoutek, and along with it, a slew of prophets and doomsayers announcing that its arrival in Earth’s vicinity heralded the end of the world, at least as we know it. In the autumn of 1973, no sooner than national media were touting the arrival of comet Kohoutek with the promise of a super-spectacular fireworks display to light up the winter sky, just in time for Christmas Eve, televangelists got on board the Kohoutek craze touting it as a sign of our entrance into the “End Times,” or “Latter Days.” This got the general public to begin wondering, however, if the comet was a signal from God or the devil?

In Madison, Wisconsin, a popular Christian fundamentalist lawyer, Edward Ben Elson, took to sponsoring announcements on local television and radio stations declaring that comet Kohoutek was actually a large carrier spaceship from another planet that was going to enter into the Earth’s atmosphere on December 24th, causing massive damage to our world and killing millions of people in the process. Elson warned that “As Kohoutek approaches the Earth, its hydrogen and carbon tail will blend with our atmosphere to produce petroleum, which will flood our planet. I hold out hope, however, that 144,000 persons will be saved. They will be beamed up from their rooftops to sanctuary aboard the spaceship!”

Many in Madison and the surrounding areas actually took Elson quite seriously but began to have doubts once he began selling tickets in his Lake Monona shoreside neighborhood to 1,000 souls who would allegedly join him and his wife onboard the mothership in escaping the prophesied destruction of the Earth, along with other elect ones as preselected by the reaping space angels. “What would Elson need with American dollars on the new planet?” wondered his neighbors. When Christmas Eve arrived and the space angels did not, it should be pointed out that members of the police bunko squad were on hand at Elson’s residence to make him return the money to those he bilked. Since he did so, he did not have to face jail time, just humiliation.

Kohoutek Poses Dangers to Earth and Venus

Dr. Anton Pliska, part of the Holy City Church in San Jose, California, was another prophet of doom. Pliska prophesied that an all-out destruction of Earth would come at the end of the first week of 1974, but not directly from comet Kohoutek but from our sister planet Venus.

Explained Pliska: “Kohoutek will not collide with Earth; but with Venus, which, in turn, would carom from its orbit like a billiard ball and destroy the Earth in a cataclysmic encounter on January 7th. The resulting collision will not only wipe out the population of Earth but that of Venus, as well.”

Other So-called Seers Got It Wrong

Rev. Joe C. Crews, pastor of the Church of God of Prophecy, Fort Meyers, Florida, in his Christmas Eve sermon, urged his congregants to: “Prepare for eternity. I really believe that the comet is part of the prophecy of God because He (Jesus) spoke of signs in the heavens during the Last Days, and a ‘star falling from the heavens.’ I can’t, however, determine the exact time the world will end because God has said in the Scriptures that only He knows the time of the end.”

Moses David Berg, leader of the Children of God sect, beginning in the autumn of 1973 through the middle of January 1974, consistently urged his followers to distribute leaflets, dated 8 September 1973, in all cities where they were residing that carried his pronouncement that, “Comet Kohoutek is a spaceship that has carried cosmic visitors to our world in the past. Prepare for the arrival of these angels.” And then he issued a second pamphlet in November, with no specified date, further stating that “The comet signals the fall of the emperor in the White House (Jimmy Carter). However, a new day is coming after all the destruction the comet will bring; and it will be a better one.”

Comet’s New Age Significance

Astrologers and other leaders in the so-called New Age community also spoke about the significance of comet Kohoutek’s near approach to the Earth.

Paul Solomon, a prominent psychic from Atlanta, Georgia, felt that “The time of the comet’s presence will provide an energy that will allow for greater communication than the world has known in many, many years. It will be a time particularly potent for freeing one from karmic lessons.”

Elizabeth Clare Prophet, from the Divine Hierarchy of her Colorado-based Summit Lighthouse, also took a more optimistic view of the comet’s approach. While leading her chelas (students) to a special convocation on the shores of Lake Titicaca in Bolivia during the Christmas holidays, she explained, “We have assembled here to view not only a spectacular solar eclipse but also the heavenly phenomenon on Christmas Eve of conjunction of Venus, Jupiter and the comet. These multifaceted phenomena have occurred for the purpose of allowing the descending avatars to appear, and they shall come in the new year. The year 1974 shall witness the birth of the Divine Man-child and also a host of new avatars (masters) that will mark the emergence of a new celestial race.”

Comet Hysteria Carries Over to Mainline Christianity

While the New Agers were quite excited about the comet as a herald for the arrival of celestial master teachers, or avatars, many in the traditional Christian, or mainline churches, saw the comet as a possible sign of Jesus’ Second Coming.

In the December 1973 Christmas issue of Christianity Today (Carol Stream, Illinois), that magazine’s theology correspondent, Donald V. Etz, speculated, “Some biblical events may have been caused by comets, and accompanying meteor showers; and the second coming of Christ may well be heralded by such a heavenly manifestation as the arrival of Kohoutek.”

David Webber, the editor of the Gospel Truth monthly periodical, published in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, also reflected a similar perspective on the comet’s importance in their Christmas issue when he wrote that, “The Century Comet (Kohoutek) in itself does not present indisputable proof that Christ is coming soon; but when considered in the light of the one hundred other end-time prophetic events coming into view, the evidence becomes overwhelming.”

Rev. Carl McIntire, the national radio preacher from Collingswood, New Jersey, stated his agreement with Webber’s point of view concerning comet Kohoutek. In his Christmas Eve broadcast, McIntire fervently declared, “Kohoutek is a sign of the Second Coming of Christ, a most thrilling piece of evidence.”

“Caveat Emptor” (Latin for “Let the Buyer Beware”)

Sometimes religionists of all shades and those in the UFO and metaphysical communities, particularly, are quick to buy off on the latest portents seen in the sky and the alleged significance attached to such seeming omens. And sometimes, not too long after being proven wrong in their assumptions about these phenomena, these same folks never seem to learn from their mistakes.

Hale-Bopp was another comet to which much significance was attached, and definitely, one of the most viewed comets in history, insofar as it had an absolute magnitude of -1, thus making it one of the brightest comets to ever reach the inner solar system in modern times. According to a spokesman for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), Hale-Bopp appeared 1,000 times brighter than Halley's Comet did when it was at the same distance. Hale-Bopp manifested twin blue-and-white tails which were clearly visible even from light-polluted areas such as Chicago or Los Angeles.

Sadly, there was a tragic incident attached to the appearance of Hale-Bopp, where 39 people who were part of the "Heaven's Gate" cult in San Diego, California, committed mass suicide as the comet came closer to the Earth. The leader of this sect, Marshall Applewhite, told his followers that the comet concealed an interplanetary spaceship that was going to whisk them all away to a paradisical world; and that the price to board the spaceship was to take their own lives, thus freeing their spirit bodies to rise up out of their physical corpses and meet up with the aliens and their craft in space.

According to NASA, Hale-Bopp's closest approach to Earth occurred in March. 22, 1997, at a distance of about 120 million miles (193 million kilometers). (By comparison, the sun is 93 million miles, or 150 million km, from Earth). Astronomers still had the bright Hyakutake comet fresh in their minds at the time as it just passed by Earth in 1996. Hale-Bopp was many times farther away than Hyakutake but still appeared much brighter.

Heaven's Gate leader Marshall Applewhite, a former music professor, and Presbyterian minister, convinced his cult’s members that their bodies were merely containers that could be abandoned in favor of a higher metaphysical existence. Because he also convinced them that an alien spacecraft was following in the wake of the Hale-Bopp comet and that by giving up their physical bodies their spirits could take a ride aboard the interplanetary craft, in late March 1997, Applewhite and 38 followers drank a lethal cocktail of phenobarbital and vodka and laid themselves down to die, thereby entering the alien spacecraft and passing through Heaven's Gate into a higher ultra-dimensional existence. The bodies of 21 women and 18 men were found lying in bunk beds in a rented mansion in suburban San Diego, Calif. They were wearing matching clothes and new sneakers.

Frequently, the appearance of a bright comet or other space debris burning up in the atmosphere, like a meteor, brings about this kind of dangerous and often meaningless prophecy that often passes as precognition. In 1997, I was living in Orangeburg, South Carolina, and wrote an article about the dangers I saw in Applewhite and his cult, stressing that while some UFOs may sneak in under the guise of meteors, there is too long a history of meteors and other such startling astronomical phenomena being associated with the wayward prophecies of so-called doomsday hucksters.

Perhaps, in examining the importance of comet Kohoutek in the final days of the great UFO flap of 1973, we should consider the words of the evangelist and Greek doctor Luke, who penned in Chapter 21, Verse 8 of his Gospel in the New King James Version:

And He said: “Take heed that you not be deceived. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am He,’ and, ‘The time has drawn near.’ Therefore, do not go after them.

And all the people should loudly proclaim, “Amen!”

Oregon Logger Describes His BIGFOOT EXPERIENCES

An Oregon logger discusses his encounters with Bigfoot while working in Mount Hood National Forest. He describes its uncanny ability to show up silently while being curious.

"I was on our property in the Mount Hood National Forest in western Oregon. I was making a new access road for equipment to get through and had been cutting with my chainsaw for some time when I decided to take a break. I pulled my earplugs out which I normally leave in my ears. I sat there inspecting my work. Suddenly, something started crunching through the thick brush from down over the hillside in my direction straight at me. At first, I thought it was an elk but the equipment noise should have kept the area clear of most animals and I could tell it was cumbersome and lumbered along on two feet.

I started straining my eyes to see what was coming through the thicket as it approached and got closer with every step. Finally, by the sound, I knew I should be seeing it because it wasn't more than 50 feet in the brush but I couldn't make out any dark forms at all. It was November and all the leaves were gone off the trees and plants so I had visibility of 200 feet.

Suddenly, it came to a stop. It all went silent, extremely silent. There were no typical forest noises of any kind. I could feel that I was being watched but why couldn't I see it. Anyway, I got tired of whatever it was playing games. I put my earplugs back in, fired up my saw, and went back to work, keeping my eyes down low just in case it let itself be seen. I knew it was watching me but I wasn't going to give it the satisfaction of freaking me out. I trust the Lord to keep me safe and that thing knew it.

I didn't have anything else happen that day. But when I returned the next morning something had taken all the brush I had stacked in piles along the new road and scattered it back in my way. Again, upon noticing this, I was peering through the woods around me with my senses on edge. When my two dogs came out to visit me, they quietly walked up behind me and stepped on some branches breaking them. I about jumped into the next county. I went back to work re-stacking the brush and nothing more happened.

About six months later, though, I was in an area not far from there where I had been cutting all day, trying to get a section out of an old growth fur log for carving. It was getting close to dusk and I had my old Chevy pickup parked not far from me, about 40 feet away. I was preoccupied with what I was doing at the moment. But as I let my saw start a new cut down through the five-foot log I glanced over at my truck and there standing alongside it, between me and the car, was a massive being, all black or dark brown and staring at me! I cursed under my breath because I really wasn't looking for a visit now. My truck is hot blue so this thing stood out really well against it. That rig is on 35-inch tires, a six-inch lift with the top of the cab being about seven feet tall and this thing's head was quickly a foot taller than the truck. I didn't stare at it or want to make a lot of eye contact with it, but I noticed it was about four feet wide at the shoulders and its arms hung down to its knees. It was very hairy and very solid. I'm no judge, but I'm assuming it had to have been at least 600 pounds if not more.

The second I saw this thing standing there a cold shiver ran down me but I didn't want it to think I saw it so I turned back to focus on my cutting. I didn't want to look back or head over to see if it was still there. It was now it was about 10 feet closer to me and standing more to my left near the hood of my truck. I could feel my heart pounding and I was getting a cold sweat too, but I went back to focusing on my work. I didn't look back for several minutes knowing that things could show up next to me or behind me without warning. I find the best thing to do is focus on what I'm doing and not look around and don't get let my imagination run away with me. It's easy to do out there in the dark with those Bigfoot being curious and coming around.

I looked back up after five minutes and it was gone, thank God. But I'm sure it was standing in the dark there somewhere and I wasn't about to look around for it. I finished my work there packed my tools and headed to the house without anything more occurring.

The next day I went back, but after that, I tried to get back before dusk. I had previously thought that they were kind of shy but not after what I've seen. They're curious and will show up even if equipment or machinery is running.

One summer, several years ago, I was spending an evening with a friend over in Washington at a rock pit we used to camp at quite a bit. Over a decade ago she had her own encounters with the Bigfoot in which one walked up to her and her brother in the forest on Mount Hood. They were armed with AR-15s but were both frozen in fear. It got within five feet of them and just locked eyes with her. It was a nine to ten-foot male and watched her intently for about a minute before turning its head and disappearing into the trees. They literally looked and looked for it, but it had vanished. This encounter happened in broad daylight.

Anyway, they are amazing creatures."

Former Intelligence Official Tells Congress That U.S. Has 'UFO RETRIEVAL PROGRAM'

A former intelligence official turned whistleblower has given Congress and the Intelligence Community Inspector General extensive classified information about deeply covert programs that he says possess retrieved intact and partially intact craft of non-human origin.

David Charles Grusch, 36, a decorated former combat officer in Afghanistan, is a veteran of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) and the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO). He served as the reconnaissance office’s representative to the Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force from 2019-2021. From late 2021 to July 2022, he was the NGA’s co-lead for UAP analysis and its representative to the task force.

The information, he says, has been illegally withheld from Congress, and he filed a complaint alleging that he suffered illegal retaliation for his confidential disclosures, reported here for the first time.

The task force was established to investigate what was once called “unidentified flying objects,” or UFOs, and are now officially called “unidentified anomalous phenomena,” or UAP. The task force was led by the Department of the Navy under the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence and Security. It has since been reorganized and expanded into the All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office to include investigations of objects operating underwater.

Grusch said the recoveries of partial fragments through and up to intact vehicles have been made for decades through the present day by the government, its allies, and defense contractors. Analysis has determined that the objects retrieved are “of exotic origin (non-human intelligence, whether extraterrestrial or unknown origin) based on the vehicle morphologies and material science testing and the possession of unique atomic arrangements and radiological signatures,” he said.

“We are not talking about prosaic origins or identities,” Grusch said, referencing information he provided Congress and the current ICIG. “The material includes intact and partially intact vehicles.”

In accordance with protocols, Grusch provided the Defense Office of Prepublication and Security Review at the Department of Defense with the information he intended to disclose to us. His on-the-record statements were all “cleared for open publication” on April 4 and 6, 2023.

Grusch’s disclosures, and those of non-public witnesses, under new protective provisions of the latest defense appropriations bill, signal a growing determination by some in the government to unravel a colossal enigma with national security implications that has bedeviled the military and tantalized the public going back to World War II and beyond. For many decades, the Air Force carried out a disinformation campaign to discredit reported sightings of unexplained objects. Now, with two public hearings and many classified briefings under its belt, Congress is pressing for answers.

At the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, Grusch served as a Senior Intelligence Capabilities Integration Officer, cleared at the Top Secret/Secret Compartmented Information level, and was the agency’s Senior Technical Advisor for Unidentified Aerial Phenomena analysis/Trans-Medium Issues. From 2016 to 2021, he served with the National Reconnaissance Office as Senior Intelligence Officer and led the production of the NRO director’s daily briefing. Grusch was a GS-15 civilian, the military equivalent of a Colonel.

Grusch has served as an Intelligence Officer for over fourteen years. A veteran of the Air Force, he has numerous awards and decorations for his participation in covert and clandestine operations to advance American security.

According to a 2021 NRO Performance Report, Grusch was an intelligence strategist with multiple responsibilities who “analyzed unidentified aerial phenomena reports” and “boosted congressional leadership Intel gaps [in] understanding.” He was assessed by the reconnaissance office’s Operations Center Deputy Director as an “adept staff officer and strategist” and “total force integrator with innovative solutions and actionable results.”

Grusch prepared many briefs on unidentified aerial phenomena for Congress while in government and helped draft the language on UAP for the FY2023 National Defense Authorization Act, spearheaded by Senators Kirsten Gillibrand and Marco Rubio and signed into law by President Biden in December 2022. The provision states that any person with relevant UAP information can inform Congress without retaliation, regardless of any previous non-disclosure agreements.

In his statements cleared for publication by the Pentagon in April, Grusch asserted that UFO “legacy programs” have long been concealed within “multiple agencies nesting UAP activities in conventional secret access programs without appropriate reporting to various oversight authorities.”

He said he reported to Congress on the existence of a decades-long “publicly unknown Cold War for recovered and exploited physical material – a competition with near-peer adversaries over the years to identify UAP crashes/landings and retrieve the material for exploitation/reverse engineering to garner asymmetric national defense advantages.”

Beginning in 2022, Grusch provided Congress with hours of recorded classified information transcribed into hundreds of pages which included specific data about the materials recovery program. Congress has not been provided with any physical materials related to wreckage or other non-human objects.

Grusch’s investigation was centered on extensive interviews with high-level intelligence officials, some of whom are directly involved with the program. He says the operation was illegally shielded from proper Congressional oversight and that he was targeted and harassed because of his investigation.

Grusch said that the craft recovery operations are ongoing at various levels of activity and that he knows the specific individuals, current and former, who are involved.

“Individuals on these UAP programs approached me in my official capacity and disclosed their concerns regarding a multitude of wrongdoings, such as illegal contracting against the Federal Acquisition Regulations and other criminality and the suppression of information across a qualified industrial base and academia,” he stated.

Grusch left the government on April 7, 2023, in order, he said, to advance government accountability through public awareness. He remains well-supported within intelligence circles, and numerous sources have vouched for his credibility.

According to the unclassified complaint, in July 2021, Grusch had confidentially provided classified information to the Department of Defense Inspector General concerning the withholding of UAP-related information from Congress. He believed that his identity, and the fact that he had provided testimony, were disclosed “to individuals and/or entities” within the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community outside the IG’s office. He did not allege that this information was improperly disclosed by any member of that office.

As a result, Grusch suffered months of retaliation and reprisals related to these disclosures beginning in 2021. He asked that details of these reprisals be withheld to protect the integrity of the ongoing investigation.

A whistleblower reprisal investigation was launched, and Grusch began his communication with the staff of the Congressional intelligence committees in private closed-door sessions. According to Grusch, certain information which he obtained in his investigation could not be put before Congressional staffers because they did not have the necessary clearances or the appropriate investigative authority.

Grusch’s willingness to take risks and speak out appears to be emboldening others with similar knowledge who believe in greater transparency.

Grusch said it was dangerous for this “eighty-year arms race” to continue in secrecy because it “further inhibits the world populace to be prepared for an unexpected, non-human intelligence contact scenario.”

“I hope this revelation serves as an ontological shock sociologically and provides a generally uniting issue for nations of the world to re-assess their priorities,” Grusch said.

Cryptid 'BIG BLACK MONSTER' Recently Attacks Guyana Man & Kills Dog

A Guyana man reported that his dog was killed by a “monster” during the evening of Saturday, June 3, 2023. The resident, Stephen Dunbar Amsterdam, said that the mysterious creature bit and ravaged his dog to death while he stood there helplessly.

The incident occurred in Guyana’s bordering area to Venezuela. The dog owner referred to the attack as a “bizarre” and “distressing experience”.

While speaking to local media, Amsterdam said he was walking his dog in the evening when a “big black monster” came towards to attack him. However, he was saved because his dog got in the way and sacrificed his life to save the owner.

He referred to the creature as “monster-like” and “diabolical.” He states that it strangled the dog’s neck, causing it to die after the savage attack. Following the heinous murder of the dog, Amsterdam said the creature fled from the location. “I am not sure if it was a black panther, Kanaima, or an evil spirit, but I am thankful to God and my dog for saving my life.” He added that the death of his dog had left a mark on his heart, as his beloved pet went everywhere with him.

After the news of the incident went viral on social media, many people shared the bizarre incidents that happened with them in the same locality in the past.

A social media named Gavin Liverpool said, ”Working at Makouria police outpost back in early 2000 while on duty, a jaguar, tiger-cat or something of that sort, attacked one of the dogs that would normally be around the outpost. Upon checking after hearing the tumbling in the dark, whatever it was, run away leaving the dog just like that until it eventually dies."

Some of the other residents have even suspected that the creature could be a “Werewolf” or an “Evil Spirit” that roams only at night. However, some people also lashed out at the dog owner for not being protective enough of the pet.

“I am terribly sorry for that dog. We have to be responsible too as humans in situations like this. That dog was not supposed to be upfront tackling ‘the black ordeal,” wrote a user named Sheikh Abrahim. Some residents said that if the creature were a Black Panther, it would have taken its meal into the night with them instead of just leaving it.

Ranger ATTACKED & TRAUMATIZED BY BIGFOOT in Sequoia National Park

A former ranger at Sequoia National Park describes his encounter with a Bigfoot. His jeep was attacked and damaged. He was later terminated by his supervisor for telling the truth.

"Hi. My name is Arthur, and I'm a Californian, I used to work as a ranger at Sequoia National Park from 1994 to 1997. before I start I just want to say that I'm crying as I write this because the memories are extremely traumatic.

It happened in 1997 in my last year working as a ranger. It was also this event that got me fired. I was patrolling an area that was not very frequented by visitors because of the density of the bushes, and because it was an easy area to get lost.

I had received a report of loud sounds coming from there, sounds that were scaring the visitors, making them think there was a bear on the loose or something. It was noon and I was driving around the area with a jeep and a tranquilizer rifle just in case something was really there.

I spent one hour driving around and I stopped the jeep, exited it, and was standing by the open door. I was about to pick up my walkie-talkie and report the situation to one of the other rangers that were patrolling the other side when I heard something on my left, a loud growl.

I looked and there was a big reddish-brown thing with wide shoulders, long arms, and huge human hands looking at me. This part really breaks me every time I remember it because I got paralyzed in fear at the moment because this thing was bigger than any grizzly bear, and was glaring at me with a face that I can only describe as a hungry predator.

I felt like an ambushed prey. I stood there and this thing charged at me with full force and I entered the jeep almost instantly. The creature crashed into the jeep breaking the door's window and the thing grunted in pain. I turned the jeep on and accelerated beyond the speed limit of the park. I looked behind for a second and this monster was running after the jeep on all fours, just like a chimp. I panicked even more and I increased the speed and some curves later I finally lost him.

I arrived at the ranger station and there was nobody there. I remember being so panicked that I locked myself inside a bathroom and I'm certain that I fainted because I remember that everything went black. When I woke up, it was 9 pm and the other rangers were looking for me.

My boss confronted me about the jeep having one of the sides damaged with the broken window and when I told him that a big animal attacked me. He got angry at me called me a liar who sleeps on the job, and accused me of crashing the jeep on a tree and making stories up to not to get in trouble, and fired me.

I did years and years of therapy and it didn't work. The memories still haunt me and I still have nightmares and sudden panic attacks. I know the thing that tried to snatch me was a Bigfoot and not a bear. Bears don't have human faces, human hands, and wide shoulders, and they don't have freakishly long limbs. I lived with these memories for more than 20 years, and this is my first time telling this story ever since. Thank you for reading this."

Family's Mysterious HAUNTING: "What Are We Dealing With?"

This incident occurred in 2014 in Boston, MA. I was never asked to help this family, though I did offer some advice. I never heard back from the woman, so I have no idea if this was ever resolved.

"Let's start off with my granddaughter, "A," who is a toddler with "sensitive" abilities. I understand if it seems unbelievable, but it is basically being more tuned to unnatural occurrences. I am also "sensitive." "A" began not wanting to be in her room from about 1 month of age. This has severely escalated, she has been waking up anywhere from 2-3 am each night, screaming as if she is terrified and will not go back to sleep until 8-9 am. Her parents can not put her back in her room, she is so terrified. They take her to the main level and attempt to get her back to sleep.

When I was watching her about a month ago, I was changing her diaper in her room. She kept looking at the closet door, terrified, and was pointing and trying to tell me something. This has continued. I started to wonder if the "old woman" who died in this condo may still be around. A little background on her, she was the only woman who died in that home and had a gay son, so she had no grandchildren. I dealt with this myself as a toddler, I had a woman who came out of the closet and stood by my crib, and I know I wasn't the only one to have seen her.

I am not sensing anything abnormal or paranormal. I decided to invite the "old woman" to move on, if it was her. I reassured her that the home and its members in it were taking good care of the home and the adults and the baby. I did this 3 weeks ago after baby "A" showed up with superficial scratches. They were on the inside of her arm and looked like a bird's foot. There was a point with 3 lines fanning from it. I questioned my daughter and she did not know how she got it. She later had the same scratch marks on the side of her neck. "A" only slept through the first 3 nights after I invited the "old lady" to move on.

Well, let me say all hell has broke loose since I invited the "old lady" to move on. I had a horrible nightmare that involved someone from beneath the earth's surface grabbing my lower legs and attempting to pull me under the surface. I woke up terrified. My husband asked me how I got the horrible bruises on my lower legs. I looked behind my legs, it looked like someone grabbed them. There were finger bruising and other bruises. It weirded me out. I appeared with some odd scratches inside my arms. Then my daughter, then "A" with a perfectly straight superficial scratch between her eyebrows. As if that weren't bad enough, my other daughter, the youngest, now has started getting bruises. She and I live in the same house, and my other daughter with "A" lives across town.

This last weekend my daughter showed up with the same bruising on her lower legs. I again asked the "old lady" to move on. Maybe not my best move. They started having issues with their hot water heater not working. After a plumber and electrician did some digging, they discovered the breaker was flipped not only inside but also outside at the box for the whole condo complex. Nobody in that condo unit touched it, and nobody can just walk into my daughter's complex. They had the electric company out 3 times within 12 hrs. Well, my daughter took on replacing the upper and lower heating elements with no results. The plumber came out yesterday and thought it was the upper and lower thermostat. He replaced them and still nothing, he thought it was the breakers. The electrician came out and discovered it was not the breakers, but frayed and arching wires that were no longer grounded. He could see there were charred marks on top of the hot water heater. The location of this is under the stairs to the second level. The only interior 2nd-floor escape. I discovered there was only 1 smoke detector on the upper level, located in the hall. The HW heater is under the doorway of "A" room, basically at the landing at the top of the stairs. Her parents would not have been able to reach her safely. The electrician and we are questioning how the electrical wires could have become burned. I now am worried that we are not dealing with the "old lady", but maybe something else. We are now having stuff happening at both homes."

NOTE: This is a very interesting narrative. This 'transferring' activity in different locations is more common in families, and I've heard of it several times. Asking/telling an entity to 'move on' is OK if done correctly. There is a bit of preparation involved to avoid pitfalls and retaliation. This was, without a doubt, a high-energy entity that requires proper investigation before a clearing was conducted. I hope that these people found help. Lon

Here are several black-eyed kid encounters & sightings that I have accumulated over time. If you ever had a similar incident or were told of an unexplained event, please feel free to contact me.

“It was November 2012 when I was working at a small gas station in northeast Louisiana. We were the only small shop and 24-hour service station in miles, just off the highway. I worked the night shift. I loved it – the sharing of stories with the traveling customers, that is when the rare customer showed up. It must have been around 3 am. I was cleaning the floors and locking the beer coolers when suddenly the lights went out. I pulled out my cell and used it as a guiding light until I made it back to our counter where I kicked on the gas generator. It lit the parking lot, the bath, and the hall leading to the register. When I looked outside, I could just make out the movement of the trees across the street, but, otherwise, it was pitch black. I turned on the radio and started listening to a local station with its night owl DJ, commenting on the heavy winds and cracking jokes between songs.

Suddenly I saw some figures in the dark. I could just make them out. They seemed to be a group of kids on bikes. There were three of them. Two of them dropped their bikes and made their way to the door where they just stood there staring at me. I just stared back for a moment, waiting for them to come in. They never did. I moved around the counter and opened the door. 'What's up, guys? Out kinda late aren't you?' I asked them, expecting them to come in. 'Can we use your phone?' one asked, their heads tilted kinda low. I felt a little worried as I pulled my cell from my pocket and offered it to her. 'Sure.' She looked at me and then I saw her eyes – they were solid black, almost like ink-filled orbs. 'No, I need the real one!' she said, her face twisted into an angry snarl. I pulled the door closed and flipped the locks. 'No! No ma'am, you go home and get your mom's phone.' They stared at me through the door for a minute longer before turning away and biking off. The next day I had my boss check the cameras to get the pictures of the creepy kids but the cameras had been off the whole time. Now the cameras run off the generator instead of the hall lights. I never saw the kids again.” D

"One day in 2003 I was walking down a bike path in the back of my house with my stepdaughter when I saw 2 boys leaning against their bikes up ahead. I didn’t really think much about it (since it is a bike path) until one of the kids raised his head up and looked me straight in the eye. That’s when fear struck me so hard I was stopped dead in my tracks. His eyes were black and hollow like he didn’t have a soul. It was like looking at pure evil, at least that’s the way I described it when I recounted the incident later that evening to my husband and my other daughter.

I immediately led my stepdaughter off the path, cut through someone's yard, and walked out to the street. I didn’t know what I had encountered at the time but now I am quite sure it was the black-eyed children. I don’t know what they are, but I know they are dangerous. It was so weird I thought that my stepdaughter would also be aware of what I perceived to be impending danger, but she was completely oblivious, even when I led her off the path and onto the street. I somehow knew I had to get out of there NOW. Surprisingly they appeared normal in every other aspect (except for the eyes of course), and a vague awareness that they didn’t quite fit into the environment. I only saw the eyes of one of them because the other kid had his back on me. He looked to be around 13 or 14, flannel shirt and jeans, and a swarthy complexion. Now that I have been reading about these encounters it piques my curiosity but I wouldn’t want to run into them again." L

"A military man, JD, went outside to have a smoke. He lives in the hills surrounding Deadwood, SD. He spotted two kids walking up a hill. They stopped and looked at JD, which spooked him. They were wearing hoodies and looked very strange. Their eyes were completely black. They started to come across the street walking directly towards JD, who introduced himself to them. They continued to advance towards him. Frightened, he retreated into the house. Inside, he asked his wife if she heard him talking to the kids. She never heard anything. They soon went to bed.

JD then noticed one of the boys outside his window. He rushed to bolt the front door, as one of them was there too. He never made it to the door. For whatever reason, he turned around and went back to the bedroom, where he saw the boy standing outside his window. He went to grab his pistol. He wanted to scare them off. He assumed they were wearing masks. One was at the window and another was at the door. He was extremely scared now.

The next thing he remembered was waking up in bed. His wife informed him that he had been gone for an hour and a half. “I did hear the door open and close. You weren't there,” she told him. JD had left the house at 4:00 am and didn't return home until 5:30 am."

"My younger brother was in his room carrying out a conversation which was weird because we were alone at home. I went to see who he was talking to. There was no one there, so I asked him who he was talking to. He said the little girl with the black eyes. I asked where she was and he said that she had left. I thought he just lying.

About a week later we started hearing voices and footsteps. I would be sleeping with my blankets covering me and I would wake up with them folded at the bottom of my bed. My sister got scared one night and crawled into bed with me. As she was getting into my bed I woke up, so I turned on my TV. I also turned on my light to find the remote. I left the light on along with the TV. Right when we were both drifting off to sleep, my door slammed shut, which is almost impossible as I always have a basket full of books in front of the door so that it doesn’t close. The light then shut off, and my TV picture went off with static noise.

I got up and went to the door. I tried to open it but it was like someone was holding the door handle from the outside.

My sister and I started to scream when my mom came and opened the door. As she did the light turned back on and the TV picture came back.

We had a priest bless the house, but the activity continues. The house was built in 2003 and no one has died there. We need help." HN

Marie in Minneapolis made two separate phone calls, first to Coast to Coast and then to Darkness Radio looking for answers regarding something that happened to her the night after Halloween (2014) while doing her paper route. The event clearly disturbed her and she couldn't explain it nor could any of the hosts or guests of the various radio shows:

“This happened the night after Halloween. I deliver newspapers at night and I was delivering newspapers that night and it was business as usual. I rounded this curve and I saw a group of kids in the middle of the road. There were about six of them and they were all wearing grey robes with hoods. They didn't have the hoods on, they were down their backs. I thought that was kind of strange because Halloween had ended about ten hours before that. One of them saw me and started walking very quickly towards my car saying something. She got very close to my car and I could see that she was about 15 years old and my first thought was...'Why was she out there?' That's pretty young to be out there at that time of night, it was about 4:30 in the morning. I didn't have time to talk to her so I drove around her but then there were the other five kids in the middle of the road and then they saw me and they fanned out to surround my car so I couldn't move and that scared me. I drove up on the lawn to get around them but they were coming pretty quickly at my car and I almost hit one of them and then I thought, I'm gonna call the police because this is quite odd. Then I thought, I better follow them so I could tell the police what they're doing. I saw them turn down this street and I turned to follow them and it took about ten seconds to get to this street and they were gone. They had disappeared and there's no way they could have gone to even the first house.”

BIGFOOT PACK Attempts to Scare Hikers in Northern California's Trinity Alps

A group of college friends is hiking in the Trinity Alps of Northern California. That night, they encounter a pack of Bigfoot that has surrounded their campsite, seemingly attempting to scare the hikers away.

"My encounter happened in July of 1996 in the Trinity Mountains of northern California. My roommates and I are up for summer break from Humboldt State University and we decided to go backpacking for the weekend as we often do. We originally planned to visit the Ruth Lake trailhead but it was raining hard and our group decided to ask the rangers at the forest station where there was a good place to hike.

My roommates from the Los Angeles area decided to be smart asses to the ranger at which I was mortified as my dad spent many summers as a park ranger in Crater Lake, Oregon, and Mount Rainier, Washington I remember the ranger taking offense and I saw a gleam in his eyes when he pointed out 'a nice hike for you all.' He sent us to a trailhead in the Trinity Alps I only recalled this after the encounter, racking my brain to try and figure out how we ended up in such a surreal situation.

We hiked about five miles up Steed Canyon and found a flat piece of real estate next to the raging creek. There were some nice granite slabs that we hung out on and bathed from that afternoon, careful not to get swept away by the swollen creek.

At around 10 that night we were sitting around a pre-existing campfire on some logs that have been arranged around it in a square. We had all heard voices of what we thought were some people approaching our camp from above. We got ready to greet other backpackers but realized that they were coming from the top of the mountain down a very steep slope, not the trail that followed the creek of the canyon. Their voices were deep and sounded like the Samurai chatter as I've heard it described in other accounts. I couldn't understand it of course, but the tone was unmistakable. Basically, "Someone is in our territory and we're not happy about it!"

I directed my crappy flashlight after silhouettes as they skirted our campsite and caught a pair of eyes locked on me. They were whitish-yellow, large, and far apart. My reaction was one of disbelief and the basic mindset that I seem to adopt for the rest of the encounter, which I now suppose to be a survival instinct that helped me keep my sanity, is 'Now this isn't really happening to me.' I kept telling myself this over and over throughout the encounter.

I swung my flashlight off the spot and then when I came back to it the eyes were gone. Just then the stomping and hooting began, slow at first and then building to a crescendo. The ground shook with every stomp. We all shared looks of shock and disbelief and at that moment I experienced the worst fear of my life. I resigned myself to the fact that I would probably die soon. When The stomping and hooting finally stopped. I assumed the voice to be the male as it was deep and commanding. It barked some orders and I thought they were now about to attack. Below us were the higher pitch sounds of the females who responded to the orders.

A few moments later we heard huge splashes in the creek from upstream. Either they were throwing huge boulders into the creek or jumping into it. Their voices were excited now, like a party or celebration. Then it went silent maybe a minute or two later. We then heard the siren-like scream from the top of the canyon. I could feel it reverberate in my chest. I've had people try to convince me that these were just some people playing a prank on us. I always respond that there was no way a human can hike up that mountain that fast in pitch blackness. I also don't think anyone can scream that loud, even with amplification. Whatever made that noise was massive. It sounded like the cross between a lion and Tarzan, and it seemed to be proclaiming its dominance over the region. I was just relieved that I was still alive and that they had moved farther away.

After a while, I lay down in my tent. I heard something walking outside and pulled my sleeping bag from my ears. My tent mate asked if I'd heard anything, but I was still in the 'this can't be happening' mode, so I replied 'Nope.'

Just then the campfire went dark with the silhouette of the creature. I literally choked on my scream, petrified to make any noise. I could only watch the shadow as I was completely paralyzed. I remember its fingers groping the seam of the zipper and its breath pushing the tent fabric in and out. I can think, but my body couldn't move. I thought I should grab my camera but was paralyzed with fear. I also remember getting the sensation that the creature knew I was aware of it and scared to death. I must have passed out from fear.

I don't remember anything after that until I woke up at daybreak. I searched the area with a very new perspective that morning and found a hair that I've since misplaced. I also noticed the trail had deep impressions, but no clear tracks. Other than that there was no trace of our encounter that night.

I've never been shy about telling my story. I will always recount the episode when requested even in potentially skeptical audiences. I've never really worried about what people thought of my account. I know what I encountered even if I didn't get a good look at the creatures. I've endured some ridicule but I'm not afraid to stand up for what I believe and all who challenge me go away assured that I'm speaking the truth. They may not believe it but they all tell me they believe that what happened to me actually occurred."
