YOWIE ENCOUNTERS Described in Queensland, Australia

A Queensland, Australia man and his friend are erecting fences in the rainforest when they smell a horrible stench. A park ranger also acknowledges the presence of Yowie in the area.

"This story is my husband's and occurred in the 1970s. He was erecting fences with a mate in rural Springbrook which is in the Gold Coast hinterland about 70 kilometers south of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.

There's a very hilly region with dense rainforest. They were cutting a fence line when they smelled a horrible stench and heard a noise that sounded like a combination of a pig grunting and a dog growling about 20 meters away. They couldn't see anything due to the dense bush. My husband turned to his mate, who was a big man, to find him already running full speed in the opposite direction. He then took off after him.

They returned to the job two days later after stopping at the forest ranger station on the way to ask him if there had been any reports of wild boars in the area. The ranger laughed and said it was possible and then told them that part of his job was to keep the walking and hiking trails clear of weeds and brush. He'd walk the trails with a machete looking just ahead of him at his feet and clearing any unwanted vegetation when he smelled a stench and the hairs on the back of his neck stood up. Looking up he saw a bipedal brown hairy creature staring at him about 13 meters ahead. He froze and stared at it until it turned and disappeared into the thick scrub.

My husband and his mate continued on to the fence job but did not hear, smell, or see anything again.

A few years later they were working in a similar landscape near the location of the previous encounter. They had heard from several local farmers who had heard similar noises to what they had heard previously and who had seen a hairy bipedal creature run into their paddocks, grab a sheep or a calf, and then run back into the dense forest. There are Yowie researchers who have had similar encounters and have taken thermal images of a large bipedal creature. 

We know they exist."

The FOREST PEOPLE of Vietnam & Indochina

U.S. troops on patrol in Vietnam reported a strange, not-quite-human but not-quite-ape creature the locals call Nguoi Rung, or “The People of the Forest.”

Gary Linderer was on a six-man patrol with the 101st Airborne’s Long Range Reconnaissance Patrols. While struggling through the underbrush, he ran into “deep set eyes on a prominent brow… five feet tall, with long muscular arms.” The creature “walked upright with broad shoulders and a heavy torso.” His battle buddies told him he just saw a rock ape, but Linderer had seen Rock Apes before. This was no Rock Ape.
Like the Yeti in the Himalayas, and the Sasquatch sightings all over North America, the Nguoi Rung is an oft-told tale in the area, but despite endless sightings and folklore attached to the semi-mythical creature, no concrete evidence exists. Linderer wasn’t the only witness, either. Army Sgt. Thomas Jenkins reported his platoon was attacked by these apes throwing stones.
Toward the end of the war, Viet Cong and NVA soldiers reported so many sightings of the reddish-brown hair-covered Nguoi Rung the North Vietnamese communist party secretariat ordered scientists to investigate.
Dr. Vo Quy, a respected ornithologist and environmental researcher from Hanoi, discovered a Nguoi Rung footprint on the forest floor and made a cast of it. The cast was wider than a human foot and too big for an ape. In 1982, another Vietnamese scientist, Tran Hong Viet discovered more footprints, which led zoologist John MacKinnon to investigate the region. MacKinnon called the area a “tiny, pristine corner of the world unknown to modern science.”

In 1969, MacKinnon discovered man-like footprints in Borneo’s jungles, which the locals called Batatut. While much of the evidence surrounding the existence of these apes is anecdotal, MacKinnon, known for his discovery of new mammal species in Vietnam, believes there is a possibility the existence of a previously unknown ape species is real.

It has been nearly three years since the monster was almost seen by a bleary-eyed guard. Detecting movement on the perimeter, the guard fired and the beast fled. When morning came the area was examined and a footprint and trail of blood were found.
The footprint was neither human nor ape. A picture was taken of the track but no one could decide who or what had made it. It wasn't long before Capt. Powell, then a depot company commander, found his name associated with the monster.
All that remains now is a small photograph on the ammunition area's orderly room wall. Perhaps the legend of Powell's Ape is all there ever was, but the guards at the ammunition area here still have something to think about besides Charlie. - 'Army Reporter,' 27 Apr. 1970

We're all familiar with stories of Bigfoot and Sasquatch sightings and even the tales of the Yeti in the snow-covered mountains of Tibet. Now it's time to introduce you to the Vietnamese version of Bigfoot.
They were taking a breather. The six-man patrol from the 101st Airborne Division's LRRPs was set up in a protective wagon-wheel position--heads facing outward, feet pointed toward the center --as secure a formation as the terrain would allow. And it wasn't allowing much.
The behind-the-lines patrol had taken them into a remote and difficult stretch of mountainous jungle in the Central Highlands. The terrain was rugged and steep, and at night, the LRRPs had to wedge themselves between trees to keep from slipping or sliding downhill.
Wiping the sweat from their eyes and leaning against their heavy rucksacks, the tired LRRPs tended to loosen straps or realign equipment as they rested--all the while watching and listening to the jungle around them.
On quiet guard, the six soldiers were facing out against the wall of green-and-brown underbrush, guarding against any Viet Cong who might have tracked them or who might happen upon them by chance.
The combined weight of their rucksacks, weapons, and LBE--the load-bearing equipment harness that held their web gear--was one hundred pounds or so, and climbing the steep hills with that kind of load took some doing. So the break was a momentary but necessary respite.
Gary Linderer was thinking that the surrounding jungle was quiet and deceptively peaceful. The forest noises--the occasional rustling of the wind through the trees, the grunts of an animal in the distance, and the sound of birds--could easily lull a soldier into a false sense of serenity even though the war was very much around them. However, if anything was out of the ordinary, there was no indication. That is until the small trees and underbrush just fifteen yards uphill began to shake violently.
Linderer's attention and the frenzied focus of the other team members turned to the commotion. On guard, the LRRPs brought up their weapons and waited. Linderer was the closest team member to the hubbub, his heart was jumping in his chest as he watched and waited for the intruder.
While he was ready for a VC soldier, he wasn't ready for the face that peered through the underbrush. If it was a Viet Cong soldier, then it was a damn ugly one! An oblong head framed the hair-covered face. Dark, deep-set eyes lay beneath a prominent brow, and they did nothing to complement the heavy jowls and angry mouth. As it stepped into a small clearing, Linderer could see that matted reddish-brown hair ran down the creature's neck and covered most of its body. Whatever it was, it stood at least five feet tall, had broad shoulders, long thick muscular arms, and a heavy torso. It walked upright. In the small clearing, it stopped and studied the Americans.
"What the hell is that?" someone called out from behind Linderer.
"It's a rock ape," said another team member. Another team member disagreed. "No, it ain't," he said. "I've seen rock apes, and that sure as hell isn't a rock ape!" "It's an orangutan, isn't it?" Linderer asked while the others kept their eyes glued on the strange creature. "Well, if it is, then he can't read a map. There are no orangutans in Vietnam."
The apelike creature soon lost interest in the six LRRPs, turned back the way it had come, and easily climbed back up the steep rise. "It's an ape of some kind," one of the LRRPs said. "It has to be." But then, maybe it wasn't.
In the Central Highlands region of Vietnam in the remote province of Kontum where the country bumps up against Cambodia and Laos, there is mounting evidence of the existence of strange, humanlike creatures the locals call the nguoi rung --"The people of the forest." Bigfoot.
While the Montagnards and other tribal peoples have believed that the nonhuman species have inhabited the region for centuries, scientists now say there may be something more to the folktale and legend.
Toward the end of the American war in Vietnam, numerous sightings by Viet Cong and NVA soldiers of apelike creatures walking upright became so overwhelming that the North Vietnamese party secretariat ordered scientists into the region to investigate the nguoi rung while the war was still going on.
In 1974, as the North Vietnamese Army and the Viet Cong pushed south to overrun the country, Professor Vo Quy of the Vietnam National University was sent into the region to conduct an investigation.
Vo Quy discovered a nguoi rung footprint on the forest floor and made a cast of the impression, which was analyzed and studied by Vietnamese academics. It was wider than a human footprint and too big for an ape. The unusual find added credence to the folktale. It also set off a debate in the scientific arena. Other expeditions were mounted but yielded few results. Chance sightings of the nguoi rung continued, ranging from small creatures to larger ones. Eyewitnesses had differences of opinion as to the exact color of the creatures' body hair. Like those sighted earlier, these latest nguoi rung walked upright and were described as having human characteristics.
In 1982, Professor Tran Hong Viet became the second scientist to discover nguoi rung footprints, and while scientists debated the actual existence of such creatures, many of the critics' arguments went up in smoke when zoologist John MacKinnon and a team of scientists discovered three previously unknown mammals in the Vu Quang Mountain rain forest in 1992.
The discovery of the new mammals demonstrated that the remote regions might well hold other new discoveries, including clues that might solve the riddle of Vietnam's Bigfoot.
Ironically, it was MacKinnon who, in 1969, came across manlike footprints in the jungles of Borneo, ascribed by locals to the Batutut. MacKinnon wrote that "the toes of the creature looked quite human...' and that the tracks would have been about the right size for the Asiatic black bear. However, the only bear known in Borneo is the sun bear, which is considerably smaller.

"It was 1969; I was on patrol one evening, just before dark in the North Two Corp in North Vietnam. We were returning to the hill when we encountered hostile fire, the squad was caught off guard so we used what cover was available. The fight had been going on for only a few minutes when movement caught my eye. Through the thick vegetation, I saw what I thought was a large man breaking cover from behind my left side. As the thing ran past me I realized it wasn’t a man, and was not really sure of what I was seeing. The thing was about 7 feet tall and had an enormous build, though not completely covered with hair, the thing had reddish brown hair covering a good portion of its body. It had covered about 30 yards very quickly passing within just yards of my position, when it got hit in the crossfire. The thing stumbled once or twice but never fell. All of a sudden the enemy broke and ran, one even left his weapon behind, they were yelling something, but none of us ever knew what it was they were yelling."
"We slowly regrouped and made sure no one was wounded and discussed what we thought we had seen. As it was getting dark and there were hostiles in the area, we decided to get back to the hill. That night we heard several howls sounding very similar to the ones that you have recorded, coming from all over the place. Some sounded like they were just outside of the hooch and others sounded more than a mile away. There were all kinds of sounds from whines to growls to sounds that sounded like barks. Needless to say, no one slept very well that night."
"The next morning, all of us that were on that patrol, decided to try to track this thing. It took a lot of talking to get Tops to let us go looking for it, but after hearing the same story from the whole squad he decided to let us have a chance to bring it back. We returned to the area and found a blood trail, leading into the jungle. We trailed it for quite some time when we found the body of an enemy soldier that had been almost entirely torn apart. We do not know exactly what happened, but I have a good notion of what may have happened. We basically ran out of the area back to our hill."
"The rest of the time we were in Vietnam, I never heard the sounds or saw anything like it again. The talk of what we had seen spread very quickly, and some of the locals called it a name that I can neither pronounce nor remember, but the translation, if I recall, was 'Stench Monkey' or 'Foul Monkey', something like that. I can’t remember for sure. What I do know is that it bothered me so much that I transferred from there, to a job on a helicopter so that I wouldn’t have to be in the jungle anymore."

It had been years since I left Alabama and moved to west central Illinois. I seldom thought of that day in Vietnam or the things I heard and saw. The recording is exactly what I had heard over there, I could close my eyes and still hear the howl in Vietnam. Regrettably, I have mixed feelings about discovering your website, relieved that someone else may now know what I went through, frightened that I that there may be something in the area of where I now live."

"While at an army military police school, my brother-in-law, Craig Miles of Boise, Idaho, met a Vietnam veteran that recalled a low altitude Special Forces drop in the interior during 1967-68. It was the middle of the night; there were no villages for 15 miles."
"For a period of three nights, they heard choking and gurgling noises. On the fourth day, they found the upper half of a decomposing bigfoot-like creature. It had been blown in half by something......not them. This was apparently not the noise they had heard ...a mate possibly? This was the speculation that was circulating."

Once while in the Marines I showed a Vietnamese colleague a reference in Mark Hall's hominid book to a term used for wildmen in Vietnam. He was surprised to see the print word and explained that growing up in his village a wild man and woman were once captured from the jungle after they'd been stealing food (chickens, I think it was). Either they were killed or kept in cage prisons; something unfortunate in either case. They were people, he explained, and not something ape-like by any means. But they were very dirty and had long ragged hair and I think he said they couldn't talk. "All of a sudden and without any warning, the lone squad opened up with everything they had...M-16's, M-79's and hand grenades. I grabbed about 300 rounds of gun ammo and my M-60, then ran across the clearing with the platoon Sgt. (everyone else stayed home!) to the cover of a huge, toppled tree that was lying on the far side and close to the point of contact. The Sgt. and I looked at one another, nodded, and then came up over the top ready to blast away but what we saw instead blew us away!"
"The firing had been non-stop and we fully expected to engage a sizeable enemy force, but instead, we found ourselves looking at our men, some seated, some standing, some kneeling, and firing at these ghostly images swooshing around in brush and trees (some off the ground by that point) in all directions. All except one was light brown to reddish brown in color, and about 5 1/2 four feet tall. One dark, almost black, male remained fighting to protect the other's retreat and he was flying through the branches and rushing the men with his teeth bared. He was one very brave animal, I'll tell you that."
"Then, as if someone had snapped their fingers, they all just seemed to disappear. Zip, the male turned and flashed into the trees and was out of sight in a second."
"This may sound very strange to you, but although I had no or little concern about killing the enemy, the killing of innocent animals turned my stomach and could enrage me if done without being a necessity. But I searched the site and found not a drop of blood, which totally amazed me given the amount of firing that had gone on. I wonder to this day if the men were shooting just to scare the Rock Apes away or whether they were really just poor marksmen!"

Lt. Alan Szpila of Cumberland. R. I., spotted footprints while piloting a 101st Airborne Division helicopter. 'I have been looking at footprints from the air for quite a while now and I noticed the exceptional size (of these) immediately. I landed to get a closer look and sure enough. these tracks were about 18 inches long and eight inches wide.' Someone suggested that they were made by Ho Chi Minh sandals. which are made of car tires. 'They were embedded deeply, indicating a heavy wearer. The stride of whatever made them was about four feet,' he said. Warrant Officer Darryl Santella of Long Beach, Calif., saw the footprints at the same time as Szpila and estimated that, if made by a man, he must have been about eight feet tall." - Dr. Bernard Heuvelmans

Massive WOLF-HEADED CRYPTID Suddenly Leaps Onto Victoria, Australia Freeway

A massive wolf-headed creature leaps onto a freeway adjacent to the Trafalgar Cemetery in Victoria, Australia. The two witnesses were absolutely terrified by the sight of this beast!

"I'm from Victoria, Australia, and an avid hiker and camper. I feel most at home in the bush and in the mountains with my boys practicing Bushcraft and survival. It's the best form of therapy. I have a deep respect for nature and believe we are not being told and taught what is really out there.

My story goes back to the year 1998 when I was 18 at the time, in Gippsland, Victoria. This was dairy country with beautiful rolling green hills. This night I and my friend had gone to the town of Moe to spend some time at a nightclub. The club closed around 2 AM so we decided to head back to my hometown of Yarragon which is only about a 25-minute drive. As we got on the Princess Freeway to head back to home the fog really set in. It was very thick. We had music playing and talking away about our night out, driving very slowly.

Just before getting to the town of Trafalgar, there is the Trafalgar Cemetery which is just outside of the town on the left side of the highway. As we came along the road and to a slight bend which was to the left all of a sudden something jumped into the middle of the road. The hairs on the back of my neck are standing up. This thing was huge and I mean big! I've never seen anything like this in my life! We have no animals this big in Australia, so I've thought until this night.

My friend Adam was driving. He slammed on his brakes. This creature was on all fours but it wasn't. It was hard to describe. It just stopped and stared at us and this thing is only 25 to 30 feet away from us, in the open and heavy fog. It was covered in hair, longer on the forearms and the legs, gray to black, silvery in the headlights. The eyes were glowing red and big. The hands, feet, and arms were massive and very long, thick, and muscular. It just sat there in a squat position. The head and face resembled a wolf, but the snout was shorter and more pushed in. The height of this thing to its head had to be at least five to six feet off the ground and this thing is squatting, so try to picture this thing if it stood up. The shoulders had to have been three to four feet wide. It felt like a good minute of looking at each other but it was probably closer to 10 to 15 seconds.

My face was up against the windshield trying to figure out what I'm looking at. My friend Adam burst into tears instantly from fear. Being cold outside you can see this thing taking massive inhales and exhales, and the chest moving in and out. It moved in a way like it didn't know whether to attack or flee. It was terrifying to look at.

Then, all of a sudden, Its body shifted to its left and the amount of power it generated to leap itself off was the most impressive thing I have ever seen. For such a massive animal to spring itself off and 'bang' it was gone in one bound. This is on a three-lane highway. It was in the middle. It cleared the road in one leap.

I don't know how long but it felt like a long time in silence without him crying. A part of me didn't want it to leave. This hasn't stopped me from going into the wild remote bush solo."

U.S. Military Operation TRACKS & KILLS BIGFOOT PAIR in Alaska

A classified military operation occurs in Alaska in which a platoon is assigned the task of tracking and killing a particular Bigfoot. The eyewitness came forward after many years of silence.

“The names in the following account are changed to avoid criminal prosecution. Both I and the man who told me of the incident are holders of now inactive top secret clearances issued by DoN CAF (Department of the Navy Central Adjudication Facility). I don't know if the details of the incident are still classified. This is why I've changed the names. I apologize in advance for the cryptic nature of the story. However, I have known this man (I'll call him Jim) and served in combat with him for many years. I have and will stake my life on his integrity. People have been misled to believe that these are animals so it's okay to kill them.

Some time ago Jim was sent on a tad temporary additional duty to a unit in Alaska. Most of the time there was spent on field daying at this or that location sitting around and passing scuttlebutt (rumors) about the nature of their purpose there. The official title is simply Security Force Training was conducted On Target acquisition field navigation and winter survival alert drills were called almost daily.

Jim and his platoon responded to the alert as always. Only this time the truck they had boarded started pulling out. He said they rode from 15 to 20 minutes to get out there in the middle of a huge valley at which point they were told to follow an officer and a civilian guide. He and the others walked quickly at first for about a mile and then were told to be quiet. They're also told to check their weapons - standard M16s a4s and one guy had an M40 and a 762 by 51 millimeter bolt action rifle. They were told they were there to kill an animal that was a threat to the compound and local residences. Jim told me that he had been on edge until that point because he didn't know what they were up against but that a hunt for a bear or something was a relief.

They spread out in a skirmished line and move forward slowly and quietly with the guide about 20 yards in front of them. They had advanced that way about 150 yards when the guide stopped. They were just inside a tree line on the edge of a large meadow. As the line got to the guide, Jim said he saw what looked like a dark brown bear about another 50 yards into the meadow. The officer pointed to the bear and indicated that there was their target at that point he and the others cycled the bolts on the rifles and took aim. That's when the bear stood up, only it wasn't a bear.

He said it was about six feet tall with wide flat shoulders not the sloping shoulders of a bear and the legs were too long to be a bear. Its head was humped and it had a long and it had long arms it turned its head and looked at them. No one fired a shot. The thing grabs something off the ground and started running away. That's when he saw the second one – smaller, in his words “about maybe four or five feet tall following the big one. They were quick too.” The officer in charge hollered shoot and we opened fire. The first to go down was a smaller one. The big one stopped while still under fire and went back to the small one, dropped to a knee, and let out what Jim described as the cry of a mother over her dying child. I saw the hair on his arm stand up when he said 'I kid you not.' The rest of the story was told to me with his head down unable to look me in the eyes.

We stopped firing when the mother cried out but the officer ordered us to kill it, so we resumed fire. The mother refused to leave the down child and took what he said was around 90 to 100 more rounds and she finally went down. No one moved forward but they stopped firing and reloaded. He said, “We held our position for, I don't know, about 10 or so more minutes. That's when the officer started to walk toward it. The guy told him to stay there, wait, and give us some time to be sure it was dead.

About an hour passed with no one talking he said we couldn't even look at each other. My gut was churning the whole time and I wanted to throw up. Finally, the guide and the officer walked to the bodies and confirmed the kill. The rest of the platoon were not allowed to view the bodies but were ordered back to the truck. On the way back to the compound he saw other military vehicles heading toward the site but they weren't from his compound. He said, “I don't know where they came from. I mean we were the only military in the area.”

Upon returning to the compound he and the rest of the platoon were debriefed one by one and told not to talk to anyone about the mission under threat of a life sentence in Leavenworth. Both Jim and I are retired and both our wives have passed so we don't have much to lose. It took a couple of shots of Jack (Daniels) and some other war stories to get to this one but I swear every word is true. Jim doesn't lie and neither do I and I'll have words with any man who says this didn't happen.

People need to know these are not animals. They are just as human as you or me I don't know how they came to be and I don't care, I just want people to know. I hope you can help make that happen feel free to email me if you want any more info. Jim won't talk to you I try to talk to him into it but he refuses. To tell the truth, I think he's ashamed of what he and the others did. He does agree though that people need to know. Thank you, Mike."

NOTE: I'm not surprised by the details in this account. I have heard of other situations that involved military forces used to kill Bigfoot, this account in particular - U.S. Special Forces Hunt 'Killer Bigfoot' Group in Western North Carolina. Lon

UFO ENCOUNTER & ABDUCTION INCIDENT Reported in Fairview, New Jersey

Three friends are playing basketball, then decide to return to one of their homes. On the way, they are apparently abducted by alien beings after seeing a silver UFO. They undergo examinations on a craft.

The following account was recently forwarded to me by a local investigator who was looking into an unrelated case:

"Three teenage witnesses were playing basketball from 6 to 9 AM on a Saturday morning. The weather was clear and sunny and they were across the street from a fire station in Fairview, New Jersey. While walking back to a friend's home the reporting witness noticed that the area was empty of cars and people when normally there would be "50 to 100 people in the park." The witness stated that he observed rainbow colors out of the corner of his right eye. When he looked he saw a shining silver metallic saucer with round tinted windows. He alerted his two friends who also saw the craft. He heard and felt whirring air and a roaring sound. His shirt was flapping as if in "a 50-mile-an-hour wind," but there was no wind. They were paralyzed and could not run.

They later arrived back at his friend's home with no memory of walking there. The witness discussed the incident with two friends (both now deceased) and they had no memory of being on the craft as he did. He recalls seeing them on "operating tables" but he was standing approximately 30 feet away. The craft appeared larger inside than outside, possibly 400 feet across. About 25 creatures, approximately 4 feet tall were present with about 10 to 15 around him and the rest around his friends. The creatures were gray in color with large round heads and large black eyes. The creatures were touching him all over. They were speaking telepathically and were surprised when they realized that he could hear them.

His mother had previously told him that psychic abilities were common in their family but he had never really believed it. He asked why they were there. His impression was that they were friendly and curious and meant no harm. He believed that they were trying to help his two friends who both had heart problems and he believes that their lives may have been extended by the aid rendered on the craft. He remembers looking out the window and down onto the basketball court where they had been playing. He could see other beings moving about in long corridors.

He remembers seeing the craft ascend after they had been returned. It moved up and to the right, then left, then up and away leaving a rainbow-colored trail behind. When he returned to his home his mother said he seemed changed and he replied, "It's no big deal Mom." Before this report he had only confided this story to his two daughters because he did not feel that anyone would believe him."

RED-EYED WINGED CREATURE Observed in Oakland County, Michigan

A teen boy and his adult sister encounter an upright red-eyed winged creature standing on the road in the dark early morning. The witness believes that it was similar to the Chicago winged humanoids.

"I don't really believe in any cryptids though the idea of them is fun, except for Mothman. Around the time of these sightings in mid-fall 2017, I lived in a small town in southeast Michigan (Oakland County) and was attending high school.

My older sister, who is nine years my senior and had a similarly timed work schedule, drove me to school extra early every morning so I could attend an extra hour and fit another class into my schedule. It was awful and started at 6 am, but we only lived about 15 minutes from my school so it wasn't all that bad of a drive.

One morning we were making our way to the school as per usual through some super curvy wooded back roads by our house (a route we took every day). Suddenly, in a break between the section of road we were on, just between the third curve and the last curve before the road straightened out, I noticed two glowing red spots about maybe 600-800 feet in the distance. At first, I brushed it off as the area was known for deer and the spacing for eyes wasn't too far off, but I couldn't shake the wrong feeling I had. The eyes just weren't the right color to be reflecting deer eyes and, as we neared closer, it became apparent to me that if these indeed were eyes. The figure was far too tall to be any type of animal I could think of. It was still really dark out so I was only able to make out the eyes and a dark black silhouette before.

As our headlights were finally near enough to begin illuminating the figure it took off into the sky like a literal 'bat out of hell.' It moved incredibly fast and before it took off the dark silhouette expanded significantly in a manner that was incredibly similar to how birds use their wings to take off. Before I could hardly register what had just happened it disappeared over the treeline and out of sight. At first, I was worried I was seeing things however as I looked over at my sister. I was met with a mirror of my same shocked expression. She asked incredulously if I had just seen that too and we began conferring about what we just saw. I was relieved to hear that I wasn't going crazy as she described the same things I had also just seen.

I still think about that morning to this day and was surprised when a couple of years after it, I came across your articles and reports. A lot of the sightings and encounters you compiled dated around the same time. I saw what, I believe more and more every year, had to be Mothman." P

LARGE GRAY ANOMALOUS ORBS Observed Over I-271 Near Mayfield, Ohio (RENDERING)

Large gray anomalous orbs were observed hovering over I-271 near Mayfield, Ohio. Eyewitness rendering of the incident is included in the account. What is it?

"In late Fall of 2018, I was driving back home from work on a Saturday afternoon on I-271 south near Mayfield, Ohio. The weather was overcast and light rain was coming down in slowed down traffic due to rain. It wasn't very windy, but the wind blew the rain to the southeast.

Out of my periphery I noticed to my right what resembled a large grouping of dark grey balloons floating silently from one side of the freeway to the other, above the tops of the cars on the same freeway. Upon closer inspection I noticed these "orbs" hanging or grouping together in what resembled a DNA strand model. Some were attached to others, while the remainder were free-floating, clinging together as they floated silently across and into obscurity.

This was my third "experience" witnessing something anomalous and I reported it months ago to author Preston Dennett. I've included the artistic recreation of my sighting." LM

BIGFOOT FAMILY Observed by Hamilton County, Florida Hunter

A Florida warehouse worker describes his sighting of a family of Bigfoot while he walked home after hunting. This incident took place in Black Bay, Florida in Hamilton County.

"28-year-old warehouse worker MJ., who asked to keep his last name anonymous, says the event took place while hunting with his dog in a rural area he refers to as Black Bay, Florida.

“I’ve just recently felt confident enough to tell that story, I’ve kept it to myself and close family for a very long time,”

After several hours, he says, he decided to head back home before it became too dark to find the way home.

“As we made it through the fields, I hopped the last fence and waited for my dog to squeeze through the gait, he was very large. I would say about 20 feet away from the start of the path, I heard a whoop on one side, followed by a sharp whistle on the adjacent side.”

At first, he says he believed the sounds were birds, but as the unidentified sounds continued, MJ realized something else was going on.

“I took a few more steps something let out a deep growl followed by a yell,” he recalls. “I was in total shock. I had never heard anything remotely close to that, it vibrated through my entire body, it literally stunned me and confused me. I caught a glimpse of something reddish brown cross the path, it wasn’t much taller than me though.”

Suddenly, as the noise stopped, MJ says he made his way through the path to finally reach his residence.

“The only way home was through the path that this thing just crossed. The sun was almost down, so it was flight or fight… and I chose flight.”

When he arrived home, he said his mother noticed something was wrong.

“She was outside collecting clothes off the line and asked me did I hear a strange noise coming from back that way, I could not reply,” he said.

MJ says that, even though he hadn’t heard much about Bigfoot at the time, he knew that what he saw that day wasn’t your average local wildlife and that it was possibly a family of ape-like creatures crossing the path. And he has a theory.

“I know now what I encountered was a family because I heard three vocalizations that evening. At the time, it was hard to understand what was happening… now I know I must have come between the juvenile and the adult. That’s why they distracted me, and ultimately scared the living crap out of me, to ensure I didn’t hurt their young.”

'Jeepers Creepers' WINGED HUMANOID Encountered by Multiple Friends in Forest Park, IL

A Forest Park, Illinois resident recalls an encounter that he and his friends had with a winged humanoid that reminded him of the Jeepers Creepers creature.

"I was 16-17 (around 2009), with a group of friends (8 of us maybe) walking down my block in Forest Park, Illinois, heading towards one of my friend’s house. It was summer, around 9 pm. The sun was already set.

Once we made it to the end of my block, at an intersection, perched atop of 20 ft street light was a figure. Humanoid, definitely, but with wings, standing relatively still. I and all of my friends saw it. Started out it for maybe a few seconds. All muttering “WTF?” 

After those seconds of collective confusion, the thing spread its wings fully. I don’t think either of us saw it fly off or anything because the moment it did that, we all took off running. Half of us one way and the other half another. Guessing neither of us has ever run that fast in our lives. I eventually made it to the friend's house we were originally intending to get to. 

Obviously, we were freaked out, asking each other WTF did we just see? Honestly really not talking about it too much after the situation. I’m 29 now. None of those friends that I still keep in contact with remember seeing red eyes. But everything else was the same as how the Mothman is described. At this time neither of us had even heard of the Mothman or even that there has been a sighting in the Chicago area. But I, without a doubt, know what I saw was real, because the group saw the exact same thing, at the exact same moment. If I was by myself, I don't know if I would’ve believed it.

Honestly, we were out of there so fast that I couldn’t pick up much of the vibes that it gave off. All I know is that wasn’t an owl, a crane, or a drone. It kind of reminded me of the creature from the Jeepers Creepers film, if you know of that movie." TA

Unknown UPRIGHT WINGED ENTITY Encountered in Chicago Suburb

A Rolling Meadows resident believes that the Chicago Mothman may possibly roost in the Busse Woods after an encounter that he had in early 2020. There have been other cryptids reported in the area.

"This is my story with the Mothman of Chicago. I genuinely believe this one in particular roosts in Busse Woods, in the western suburbs (Rolling Meadows area). I am in a suburb next door. This occurred right at the start of the pandemic in early 2020. Many things were shut and this moonless night was easily the darkest I’d ever experienced in the suburbs. Usually, light pollution means you can see 24/7 but this night was particularly dark and quiet.

It was like 2 am, and I’m in the garage tinkering on one of the bikes listening to some music, not super loud when there was a crash on the roof of my garage. I’ve had raccoons jump off the tree onto it before but this sounded like a person my size just jumped onto it, the whole building shook (my garage is an old horse barn, relatively small for a barn but big for a garage and detached and across the driveway). Well, I heard this and I knew it couldn’t be a raccoon but that’s what my mind went to.

So I grab a shovel and step outside trying to look up but it’s so dark I can’t see a darn thing. As I round the corner of the garage into the front part of my yard, which was so dark I couldn’t see my neighbor's house, I swear on my life I hear something jump down and land maybe 15 yards in front of me. I can’t see anything, I don’t remember hearing anything breathe, snarl, growl, or anything like that which you would if you were face to face with a raccoon. They’re noisy.

So I’m standing there, dead stopped holding the shovel like a walking stick unsure of what to do or even what’s happening. I had a very visceral feeling that I was squaring down with something my size though, I felt it. I knew I couldn’t just stand there and wait to become a victim, I have a mentality that I never will be one. I’ll throw the first stone every time. I raise the shovel to my other hand taking a defensive grip and step forward, only taking 1 or 2 steps before I hear 3 heavy footfalls. Then I hear the fence behind my garage rattle, and then I hear a whooshing sound like a great pair of beating wings. I genuinely believe when I stepped forward whatever was there turned, jumped on the fence, and took off flying. I never even caught a glimpse.

I was 100 percent sober, no drinking and I don’t do drugs. I was not sleep-deprived I only got off work an hour and a half prior. I think my garage was the only light for miles and my music drew it in. No one and I mean no one else was for a mile in any direction as far as I could tell. As soon as that thing left I shut down the garage and went inside somewhat shaken thinking “Holy crap, I damn near got into a fight with something and I don’t even know what it was.” The reason I think that it was the Mothman and why I think it roosts in Busse Woods is another story entirely. This is not an embellishment, this is a real event that happened to me, albeit only one time ever." MM
