Possible PTEROSAUR Sighting Reported in Alameda County, California
The witness read previous reports sent to me about dragons or possible Pterosaurs seen in South New Jersey. She had an interesting sighting in 2008 in California.
"On or about Sept. 3, 2008, on a clear, sunny day around 11 a.m., I was driving north on Highway 680 between Fremont and Pleasanton, California. Just at the Highway 84 off-ramp, I looked up when something large caught my eye and what I saw was a small Pterosaur flying about 30 feet above my car. Talk about “driver distraction!” It flew directly over me (perpendicular to my direction), heading East toward Livermore. The reason I can estimate its distance from me is that it appeared to be about 10 feet above the top of the traffic cam located at Highway 680/84 junction which I was approaching at that moment.
The creature looked very similar to the paintings of the “Ropen” of Indonesia and Papua. I would estimate it had about a 3-5 foot wingspan. It was light tan, all leathery skin, and the most astonishing thing was that it had no feathers! I could see the wrinkles & texture of its skin moving over its bones as it flew. The eyes were very large, round eyes, and it appeared to be young, or at least I had that impression because of its size and some of its features like the tail and the bump on the back of its head were not as developed as those depicted of adult Ropen/Pterosaurs. I thought it probably flew at night because of the size of its eyes, which were perfectly round and HUGE, much, much larger than an owl’s, for example. The eyes probably took up 40%+ of its cranial-facial area. As my rational mind was striving to take this all in, I wondered why it was flying in daylight, though it did not seem to be alarmed by anything.
The wings were triangular, slightly rounded at the tips, but I did not see any “hands” attached to the wings as these creatures are sometimes portrayed. The back of its triangular-shaped head came to a rounded point, jutting out a few inches. Its tail was not much more than a pointed “stump.” It had a fairly broad triangular-shaped beak that was longer than the “bump” at the back of its head, perhaps about 10-12 inches. Again, I was surprised at the breadth of its beak because it differed from drawings I’ve seen in books. But this was no Pelican, Bat, or anything else I’d ever seen flying through the sky. It had no feathers. As it flew, its clawed feet hung down slightly, from its body positioned more toward the middle of its underside (i.e., they were not positioned at the back of the body under the tail, nor were they attached to the wings). Its large claws were slightly curled and facing backward. I thought it looked a bit clumsy as it flew, in that its feet and legs were not tucked up tight against the body during flight like birds, they were just dangling down. I recall there were 3 visible “toes.”
I was so shocked, but also felt awe and excitement and wanted to pull over to watch it. But, alas, I had to force myself to take my eyes off of it and mind the driving. It would have been a dangerous place to stop on that busy freeway, let alone to get out of the car, and by the time I could have pulled over, the hills would have blocked the view in the direction it was flying, and of course, it would be far away by then. I witnessed this creature for 6 to 8 seconds before I had to tear my gaze away, but that was enough time to absolutely know I was looking at something very, very strange, something I had only seen in books about dinosaurs.
I have a keen interest and curiosity about nature and the nature of reality, cryptozoology, metaphysics, and spirituality. Some would consider me a good observer. This experience felt like a privilege to have been a witness to a secret aspect of our natural world. Perhaps I somehow briefly interfaced with another dimension, but it was as real and 3rd dimensional as any other animal. I told a couple of family members about it and most of them do not believe me, but I know what I saw. It’s exciting and validating to read that more sightings of similar creatures are emerging in many locations." K

A Colleague's 'Chicago Sightings' Thoughts
I received the following information from a colleague, who has contributed his thoughts and conclusions on various subjects in the past. I will refer to him as 'André in France.'
Dear Lon and possible readers,
Responding to your invitation to suggest any explanation about the apparitions of flying entities in Chicago, I shall try to resume my knowledge about this complex subject. What follows may seem unbelievable and even unsettling to many people.
The present civilisation lives in a materialistic environment, which is commonly referred to as 3D (third dimensional). More fundamental then the word “dimension”, I would call it “consciousness level”. No doubt more and more people today are convinced that there is indeed some sort of life after life and subsequently higher levels of consciousness, which I shall concisely refer to as 4D, 5D, etc. Traditionally an unassailable barrier stood between dogmatic establishment science and spirituality, but it is breaking down today with the advent of quantum physics and string theory.
It is said that our body has a soul but it is the opposite; our immortal human soul possesses a temporary body. When the body dies, the soul moves up to the forth level of consciousness (4D). In 3D we live with the notion of linear time – past, present, future – which is an illusion. When in 4D we escape the limits of time. We then perceive the reality of reincarnation: our supposed “past lives” are all simultaneous but our 3D limitation forces us to live only one life within one body at a time. It also prevents our access to higher knowledge and understanding.
Let me recall a familiar comparison. Yet a few centuries ago men thought that the Earth was flat. They did not dare sail very far out at sea for fear of falling over the edge of the world. Their concept of the “world” did not allow them to imagine that the shortest way from one point to the next could be anything but a straight line, since a notion such as a rhumb line (great circle) is linked to that of a spherical world.
Such are we in 3D, but entities living in 4D (or higher) are able to see the true nature of life in 3D. They are also capable of inter-dimensional travel, i.e. through our time and space, which implies that they may appear from our past or our future! Such is most probably the case with the Chicago batman, but also with most of the numerous apparitions throughout the world (including that of the French “beast of Gévaudan” mentioned in one of your earlier posts). More importantly such is also the case with the “Short Greys”, to which I shall come back farther.
This leads to matters of higher importance, namely the origins of mankind, the passing of civilisations and cosmic cycles.
Genesis such as written in the Bible is the first and foremost misinformation and conditioning of human 3D consciousness. It is an allegory disguising genetic manipulations of an original spiritually connected human (Namlù’u in Sumerian) by invading reptilian ETs. Semitic scholars while under Byzantine domination composed biblical Genesis on the basis of Sumerian tablets and engravings. But, as everyone knows, history is always written by or for the benefit of the victors.
Back to what I wrote to you in October 2011, the reference to this is usually limited to Zecharia Sitchin’s popular writings. But he is not altogether reliable (for ex. his statement about the so-called “Nibiru” is a misinterpretation of the Egyptian Neb-Heru). I rather recommend three authors, better educated than the popular ones usually mentioned. First and foremost Anton Parks who, despite the apparent English name, is a Frenchman. Two of his seven books have to this day been translated into English. See http://www.antonparks.com/main.php (bottom of page, last two vignettes on the right). His exegesis and interpretation of the Sumerian hieroglyphs is probably the most thorough and reliable ever, as testifies the comprehensive references in the footnotes of his books. Second is the late Laurence Gardner: http://www.graal.co.uk/. His book "Genesis of the Grail Kings" is a must. Third is Laura Knight Jadczyk: The Wave series.
I shall try to summarize this very wide and complex subject.
The reptilian race Gina-abul and especially among these the invading warring males Annuna are responsible for our present DNA. The females Amasutum kept the secret of genetics. The Annuna stole the secret and forced them to manipulate our DNA so as to make humans their slaves and source of nourishment. (This is clearly the origin of the subjugating of women in most religions).
The human soul is endowed with two possible opposite lines of evolution which exist in the Universe in the conscience of the Creator: *Service to Self* (StS) or *Service to Others* (StO). As for the difference between the two, their very names are self-explanatory. As a consequence of reptilian manipulation, only StS is available within the limits of life in 3D. However the Amasutum secretly included a key in our genes which would allow us to evolve towards the state StO. This is probably the hidden function of what we call “trash DNA”. Within our deepest consciousness we know that StO behaviour exists, that it is the only way out of the 3D matrix and -beyond 4D - the only access to 5D and farther on our eternal journey towards the Source of Life.
We are endowed with free will, thus free to decide whether or not we intend to reach StO status, not only in 3D, but also in 4D where, after the death of our body, our choice needs to be confirmed.
The “3D matrix” is the reality that has inspired the fictions of our film industry. It is the realm wherein the reptilians endeavour to keep us. In Sumerian language A-DAM means animal, cattle...! We are their cattle and source of food and therefore they are bent on preventing us to escape. The StS environment is the seat of emotions and the source of all suffering, which is the food of the reptilians. They incite us into all forms of conflicts and wars. They initiated religions, which are the main causes of wars throughout human history.
Yet we have a choice because there are two opposite levels in the StS matrix. Souls in level 1 (in short StS1) are what we commonly perceive as criminals, sadists, tyrants and violent persons of all kinds. They revel as such and make no effort to proceed towards the state StO. Conversely souls in level 2 (StS2) are righteous, loving, peaceful and generally worthy persons. Consciously or instinctively they strive towards the ultimate state StO, which they know is the only path to freedom and fulfilment. This is also where the original DNA is gradually reactivated.
The Universe is created and kept in equilibrium by a community of planners, the Kadistu, who are servants to the original Source. On certain occasions they send emissaries to teach humans the practice of Service to Others and show us the way to freedom. They are the Kiristi, which means “ardent sons of life” or “fish of the stars and life”. Several Kiristi have appeared since the beginning of human history. They incarnate a human body and are mostly known as prophets and saints. Christ is the one familiar to us westerners. His life and teaching have been related and transmitted through the gospels, though very imperfectly because much misunderstood by his own disciples. The religion, which he never founded, has soon become an instrument of power in the hands of Roman papacy.
Two thousand years later, Christ very recently transmitted a revised and true version of his teaching to a woman who’s name is kept secret. Under dictation through clear audience she typed a series of nine letters on her computer. They have been translated in several languages. I very strongly recommend this reading. Near the end of this account I shall explain why Christ’s letters appear in our present times.
Thus, we are all StS of one or other kind with many nuances between the extremes. When the body dies, the soul moves up into 4D where it is confronted with all the other StS. Here they withhold their free will and are called upon to confirm their choice. Many (if not most!) StS1 realise they have taken the wrong path while in 3D and chose to fall back into another 3D life where they have the opportunity to learn more lessons and possibly proceed up towards StO the “next time”. Since linear time is an illusion, the “next time” may well be a life out of the past or the future !
This is where we, in 3D, meet with apparitions. As mentioned higher, souls in 4D, whether StS1 or StS2 are free to move through time and space and may change shape. However, Universal Law forbids entities from higher dimensions to intervene openly into the lives of people in 3D. Therefore entities from 4D that manifest themselves in our 3D space infringe the Law. Yet many do so nonetheless, why now more than ever before? We shall see farther. As a clear example let us take the case of the “Short Greys”.
They are not ETs; they are aliens. What is the difference ? They originate from parallel earthly vibrations. They have souls; some may be nasty but most are indifferent or even friendly. They are time travelers who sometimes use UFOs with which they travel back into space-time by changing their gravitational magnetic field. They may visit our past or even our “predestined future”. They are often to-day’s humans coming back from our future in an attempt to change their temporal involuting life line in order to live other 3D cycles with the hope of reaching StO status. They have so to speak “missed the bus to 5D” and try to catch the present one with us. They plan to achieve this thanks to advanced technology. From them we own much of our present technology. This of course is a wrong path since materialistic technology is mostly of StS nature. We today should take this as a warning and avoid making the same mistake.
Short Greys are servants to the Gina-abul ETs who are, since Genesis, our reptilian jailers and predators. Reptilians have always been here; they appear rarely and stay deep underground, (cf. M. Salla: the Dulce report).
What about the Chicago Batman, or Batmen, since the question is: have there been several apparitions in different places at the same time or is it a single entity showing up different times in the same neighbourhood? The answer to this depends of course on collating witness reports, which is not my concern.
I feel certain that the Batman case is somehow similar to that of the Greys. They come into our space-time because it offers a unique opportunity for making up thanks to change. The nature of this change is cosmic.
The solar system, which is located at about 2/3 the distance from the centre of our galaxy, orbits around the centre on a plane which stands at an angle to the median plane of the galaxy. The movement is related to the 25,920-year period of the precession of equinoxes. When our Sun passes exactly through the median plain of the galaxy we have a Transition. This brings about many changes: cataclysms of all sorts, climate changes, and an expected pole inversion. (Even though we are responsible for depletion of natural resources and pollution of the planet, major climate changes are not of our doing but, through misinformation, they serve the interests of the “military industrial complex”).
But Transition modifies not only the physical environment but also the electromagnetic vibrations of life on Earth, of our psyche and spiritual consciousness. Religious persons call this Ascension. To human souls this offers a unique opportunity to accelerate their progress on the chosen course: progress towards StO or remaining in comfortable StS. But it also opens “worm holes” between dimensions facilitating the appearance in our physical space of many forms of life coming from the past or the future. This for instance explains apparitions of pterosaurs, shape-shifting entities and other strange life forms.
Much more important, Transition brings about the end of our civilisation, not in so many centuries nor even decades but right now! Any human whose consciousness is not asleep is aware of this. For the same reasons the same happened with previous civilisations, the latest one being Atlantis, where from many Short Greys are very likely shipwrecked souls.
This is also the opportunity taken by Christ to reaffirm his teachings, notably also because after 2,000 years our knowledge and intellectual capacities are sufficiently developed to understand him.
As for the concentration in the Chicago vicinity, it may be an interesting field of research for scientists of various disciplines. What is the history of this region, the geology, the fauna, human population, etc. from recent to very ancient times? There may be a clue to discover.
Conclusion:
This summarises the extent of my research and knowledge, as a layman, in this vast spiritual subject. I refrain from trying to convince. I may be wrong. I encourage possible readers to exercise their discernment and make their own research.
Advice:
If you witness strange apparitions, whether frightening or not:
- do not fear;
- remain calm and detached;
- do not speak to the entity, it can read your thoughts;
- through your thoughts send it a message of compassion and love;
- if it is a landed UFO do not attempt to approach.

US Army Infantry Veteran Confirms SASQUATCH 'HUNT' by Special Forces
A US Army team leader was involved in training exercises at JBLM, Washington. During one incident, his team stumbled upon a Delta Force squad who had just killed 2 Sasquatch.
I recently received the following account:
"I'm a 22-year US Army veteran. My specialty was Infantry Scout for most of my service. I attended one station unit training at Fort Benning, Georgia where I was taught scout skills. I was deployed to Desert Shield, Desert Storm, Bosnia, and Kosovo.
At the time of this incident, I was based at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. It was in 1996 and we were going to be part of a joint training exercise at Fort Lewis, Washington. We had been there for a few weeks and were involved with various tasks, including posing as terrorists in multiple exercises.
On the night of the incident, I had decided that our OP4 team should get a few hours of rest before we would go on the mission. We parked the Humvee as close as possible to the hill that I thought would be best to keep us from being noticed and climbed up the hilltop for the next day's mission. We were planning to attack on or about 5 AM. My guard shift started at midnight.
Not long after the shift began we were awoken by live small-arms fire. Everyone involved in this training exercise carried blanks and all had red blank adapters attached at the end of the muzzle. There's a very distinct difference in sound between live rounds and blank rounds. The firing was about 350 to 400 meters from our location on the opposite side of the hill where, according to the war map, no unit was to be. Within moments of the firing starting there was a very loud roar. I had previously heard a lion's roar and this was much louder. You could feel it! The guys and I were scared.
The weapon fire lasted 30 seconds. Two of my soldiers were about to run down the hill to see what was going on. I had to stop them. We gathered our M16s and night vision goggles and cautiously proceeded down the hill going from tree to tree to hide. There were a few bright flashlights we could see as we approached. One of my team was on the radio when suddenly another soldier shouted out movement up on the hill. We got caught and we were told to reveal ourselves and approach. That's when we saw the opposing squad in front of us.
Laying in front of the squad were two Sasquatch. The male was obviously dead and the female was breathing heavily, spitting out and choking on her blood. The squad took our weapons and night vision goggles and the one talking identified himself only as a Captain. He was talking loudly and was upset that we were there. Much of what was said at first didn't register with us because we were looking at the two Sasquatch. The male was sprawled on his back. The female soon succumbed to her wounds and stopped breathing.
My team and I were in shock at what we were seeing. The Captain who was talking to me got right up into my face to get my attention. I noticed an awful odor coming from the creatures. Once the shock wore off I took a real close look at these men in the opposing squad. Their equipment and weapons were not standard issue. I soon realized that they were Delta Force because of the helmets they were wearing.
About 5 minutes later, a Colonel came up and gave us a butt-chewing. we were moved down the hill but before that, the Delta Force was prepping the Sasquatch for extraction. a Blackhawk helo came in low and hovered above.
We later traveled for about two hours until we arrived at a location where we were ushered into a room where we waited for over an hour. The Colonel and other military officers, including the Delta Force Captain, came in and gave us direct orders not to speak of this matter and that if it was discovered that we did we'd be facing UCMJ disciplinary action. They really put the fear of God in us. We were told that our Battalion Commander was informed of us interfering with their training mission and we were to return to the TOC after we were debriefed. Since I was the only NCO of the group I was threatened with having my career ruined if I ever spoke of this again.
Sometime later we were loaded up on a five-ton truck under guard and driven back to the hill where all of this took place. We were allowed to gather our stuff from the hilltop and followed to the TOC's current location. The truck following us just continued moving on down the road. We were given another butt-chewing by our Battalion Commander.
That incident has eaten at me for all these many years since it occurred. I wanted to climb the roof of my house and shout it out loud but the fear of reprisal from the Army or the government kept me from doing so. I kept thinking that some government man was listening to podcasts to see if any military or government affiliate ever came on the shows and spilled the beans about what goes on. I don't know why those Sasquatch were hunted and killed. I just remember her labored breathing and seeing tears rolling down her face as she died.
Several things also are not included in this letter to you because it would be a book more or less. I just wanted to state the most important things about this incident. I just needed to get it out in the open and set myself free from this. It's been 28 years and whatever happens, well, it happens." G
NOTE: I held back from posting this account until I received further information from the witness. After talking to him, I'm satisfied that his recollection was factual. In the past, several individuals associated with the military have disputed these claims of Special Forces hunting down Sasquatch, especially at Joint Base Lewis-McChord. Nonetheless, I feel that after hearing and reading a fair number of these incidents the US and Canadian military are actively involved with these missions. Lon

New York Deer Hunter Reports Recent BIGFOOT Sighting in Oneida County
A New York state deer hunter states that they observed a possible Bigfoot in Oneida County while sitting at a spot watching for deer. The sighting lasted for 5 minutes.
According to a Facebook group post a deer hunter in upstate New York claims that she spotted a large bipedal creature that she believes was a Sasquatch. The incident occurred on November 22, 2023, on some state land in the community of Steuben in Oneida County, NY, as posted on the Facebook page Bigfoot Researchers of the Hudson Valley. The unidentified hunter explained that the incident began shortly after she and a friend had settled in a spot to sit and watch for deer. The silence of the moment was suddenly pierced by the sound of wood striking wood followed by several whooping grunting noises. A screenshot of the incident report is posted below:
The witness stated that the sighting occurred around noon and that they were about 50 yards away. The creature was described as tall and dark red in color. There had been grunting and whooping sounds prior to the approximate 5-minute sighting. When the witness briefly looked away in order to retrieve binoculars, the creature was gone.
According to the BFRO website, there has been only 1 reported Bigfoot sighting in Oneida County, that being a Class B account from October 1972.

'DEAD ZONE' - True Experience From Appalachia Ohio
A long-time reader forwarded this response to a prior post on Phantoms & Monsters about the Devil's Tramping Ground and another eyewitness' bizarre experience.
The following events took place in Appalachia Ohio. The reader wishes to remain anonymous.
"My Dad and his mother sold their souls to save the lives of their family members during the worst days of The Great Depression. Their neighbor across the road in that coal town was outside watching his younger siblings. He saw Dad's mother in her garden hoeing around seedlings. That bit of information will be important later. The neighbor was then a young man old enough to take an adult job. There was one job opportunity and many men were applying for it. Dad put in a good word for this man, they being about the same age and even gave him the newly ironed shirt off his back to wear to the interview where he got that job. That happened that morning. In the evening everyone was feeling good in that town because this man's pay would keep many of them alive. Everyone shared and Dad's family was known for sharing even though it hurt them.
Then, different people in the town, along with Dad's neighbor, witnessed a huge fireball coming across the sky. It made a maneuvered turn to head towards Dad's house. This man and his siblings looked at each other and started to run to help though it looked like no one could survive what was headed for them over there. They found that their legs would not move and even using all their strength and their upper body strength they could not free their legs to make them move. They woke up the next morning not knowing how they got into the right beds or even in the right bedclothes. Not only were their parents unresponsive to their talking about this incident to get their help to go help dad's family, but their parents froze in place, not breathing or speaking. Seeing as that particular topic always caused them to do that they stopped doing it, making up their minds to go over there themselves. Across the road, they went and onto the property, down a lane a bit, and in full view were all members of the family aside from Dad and his mother, all lined up looking scared to death but nonetheless undamaged.
A short distance from the house was a circular area that was smoking heavily. The law in coal country was that everyone pitched in to put out any fire because all the houses were sitting on top of coal that lay on the surface. If it got into a coal field to any depth it might not stop burning, ever. So, loss of homes, loss of jobs, loss of all they held dear. Dad came walking towards them with a shotgun in his hands. His mother wasn't far behind and was also carrying a shotgun. Dad told them to leave the property and never come back. He didn't seem himself and those two families had been like kin to each other for a very long time. Dad showed them that his gun was loaded as did his mother and they walked them off the property at gunpoint.
From that day on he and his mother were never the same people again. I saw her just days before her death and saw something come out of her eyes. She became a very kind cheerful person which was everything I knew she had never been to me. Her eyes were different. She asked if she was in heaven and I said no so she asked who we were. Dad and I were the only people there. I told her I was her granddaughter and he was her son. She stammered and said that couldn't be. Then, she wanted to know how she got there since she was just in her garden hoeing around seedlings! Remember that before the fireball came down the neighbor had seen her in her garden hoeing around seedings. She looked at her hands and began shrieking really loudly. She asked how her hands could be so old and wrinkled and was sobbing. Dad got a mean look on his face and told her to remember that she'd agreed to a deal and she must stand by it or else. She died when she was 92.
It was after her death that the family along with my aunt, uncle, and cousin went down to the old home place they'd grown up on, to get some of grandma's flowers from her rock garden. The house was long gone and trees and plants were growing all over the place. The forest was reclaiming the property. That's why we found it very odd that a perfectly circular area, that Dad stood sobbing over was quite peculiar. Nothing was growing there at all. No birds flew over it, no bugs were seen there or any other living thing. In fact that entire area was devoid of birds, they were making wide berths around it. The rock garden some distance away was blooming and growing just fine. As well there were woods, plants, and flowers nearby that were also doing quite well. No other area was devoid of life except that circular area.
My brother dragged me over there so I could help him figure out why Dad was sobbing while looking at that spot and why nothing was living there. Standing there on the rim of that circular area I said under my breath in great frustration, "What In God's name is he looking at?" That's when something very strange happened. The ground over that circle eased off of it back to the edge of the circle like the reverse of water pooling on a floor. I saw this saucer-shaped craft and then it opened up like those medical books with the transparent pages showing the nervous system on the top, the circulatory one on the one beneath that, and the organs on the one at the bottom. I was looking into this craft and saw a living being working what looked like controls. It was seated at first moving its hands over these lighted different color lights with the palms of its hands. I thought that person was awfully skinny and bald. Then it got up from the seat and turned around so much that I could see its face. It didn't see me but I could clearly see it! I gasped and at the same time felt like I was falling down into that thing which was a distance down there and fearing that I grabbed my brother's legs on the way down and held on for dear life.
He asked what was going on and if I was okay. I said, "Did you not see that?" He asked, "See what?" Then he whispered loudly that Dad was watching us and to get up. He helped me up and said to play it cool. I looked up to see Dad's face and thought he would kill me if I told him what I'd seen. He'd kill me before I could get it out and I knew it. He came over to us so fast it shocked us both. Then, he demanded to know what I'd seen in a tone of voice that meant that he knew what I'd seen. I asked what he meant to give myself more time to come up with something. He said, "You know what!" I stammered a bit and said I thought I saw a spider or snake move down there. Of course, he knew why nothing was growing there already so it wasn't a good thing for me to say, in hindsight. When he ordered us to get down there and find that thing I told him I'd rather not because it could be poisonous. He said my brother would dig while I showed him what place to look. So, we both got down and my brother whispered close to me to know what we were looking for seeing as there was nothing alive in that area. I got his meaning and said well, I thought I saw something move. He said, "Nooo! What did you really see?" I told him to shut up and just help me look if he wanted to survive. He said I was going to tell him later though I told him the same story I'd told Dad. Better that no one else knew what I knew because they'd probably not believe it.
Not finding what Dad ordered us to find he wanted an explanation and so I said it must've been dead leaves moving that made it look like a snake's skin as they are colored just like dead leaves many times. He asked if I was sure that's what I saw and I said it had to have been because I had nothing else. He glared at me right in the eyes and said that had better be all I saw. He held that glare and finally told us to leave the area completely and go over by the path. We weren't allowed to talk to each other which was fine by me. My brother was digging around something that looked like stainless steel over by that tree and Dad asked him what he was doing. He said it could be something good but Dad covered it back up with an old piece of tin and ordered him to leave it alone or else.
We watched Dad for some time until someone got his attention on them and I went over to see what my brother wanted. He said we had to get that thing he'd been digging at because it looked like one of those new stainless steel bowls that had been on the TV commercial and they were expensive. He said if Dad caught me digging at it I could talk my way out of it. I was good at that. I went over and saw that it looked like one of those things so I dug the woods dirt away from it quickly and pulled. It was stuck fast and solidly. Dad spotted me and asked what I was doing. So, I gave him the story of the expensive bowl just on the market and how this one was just lying around in the woods looking like nothing was wrong with it. Anytime we could appeal to his sense of greed he took it hook, line, and sinker. He told me to pull it out and I said it wouldn't budge. So, he told me to stick my hands underneath it to see what was holding it down. I felt the air being sucked into some tubes at the bottom of this bowl! I asked why it would be doing that and he said it could be a still but I didn't know what that meant. He uncovered a great length of pipe leading from it and it made a turn back towards that circular area where nothing was growing. My brother said so openly and loudly. Dad jumped up and started thinking out loud that we'd know what he was, what was he thinking and if we knew what he was we'd hurt him. We all did an about-face and acted like we hadn't been hearing what he was saying. He was always a violent person who said there were no live witnesses. He yelled at all of us to forget what we just saw. My brother laughed and asked if that meant to forget what we'd just heard him say too. I could've hit him for asking that but still, I couldn't blame him since what he'd said was very telling in some ways. Dad told us all to forget what they'd heard too and if they didn't he could make us forget. So, that was that. It happened in the early 1970s.
So, that's the explanation for an area where life should be no different than anything else near it, but for some reason, nothing was alive in that circle. I remember the old UFO reports of them sitting down in farmer's fields and where they touched the ground nothing would grow even when the soil was dug up and replaced. They usually left triangular marks where the feet of the craft touched the ground. I have seen another place in another wood where there was a non-working craft and there were living things where it was. Nearby that area is a long stretch of ground, also in the same woods where nothing grows. Nothing has ever grown there and it's been decades. Dad used to do some strange things back there too.
I know that farmers in our area planted their fields as usual and they discovered that even though they planted the field the same way they always had that particular area where the craft sat down, did not grow anything. Even weeds didn't grow in those places. I'd read where they dug down a good six feet, took that soil away, and replaced it with good healthy dirt, and still, nothing would grow there."

A Weekend of Terror Following BLACK-EYED KID Encounter!
The following strange account was forwarded by cryptid / paranormal / UFO investigator, researcher & colleague Dennis Carroll, who has been a guest on my podcast.
"Mr. Carroll - My friend recently saw you on television and she suggested I get in touch with you, about my experience.
I replied to the email and set up a meeting with this lady, in a diner, a few miles from town. She was very adamant about not meeting anywhere in the downtown area.
Here in her own words, is her very strange story:I had met with a couple of my girlfriends for a quick late dinner at a restaurant facing Main Street downtown. I had parked about three blocks further away down Main Street, as this was the only parking place available at that time of the day.This witness seemed very practical and very matter of fact in what she says she saw. She was very sincere and still seemed to exhibit some of the fear she had experienced. She was also very assertive of retaining her anonymity, which I assured her would be no problem and I also tried to help her in dealing with the aftermath of her experience.
We had chatted awhile after dinner and then parted ways. I was alone on the walk back to my car, but there was the usual amount of people around. It was almost twilight, but still very light and it was very humid and hot.
As I walked along, I began to get the uneasy feeling of someone staring at me. I glanced back over my shoulder and noticed this 14 or 15 year old kid in dirty clothes and a equally soiled hoodie. He was a very pale looking boy and he was following very close behind me. I began to experience a strange and nagging fear. All my life I have been something of a tom-boy and felt that I have and could handle myself in many situations, but what I felt that day, went right to my core.
As I walked along, I had to wonder why someone, even a kid, would be wearing a hoodie on a 99+ temperature day. I looked at him again and our eyes locked. The shock was like a bucket of cold water being thrown on me. His eyes were completely, eerily, empty and black. No white at all showing. At this point I was almost in a panic. I hate to say it, but I was ready to run. Just then, I got even with another restaurant and ducked quickly inside. I nervously stood by the window and waited and watched to see him pass, but he never did. A few moments later, after feeling a little better, being in the company of others in that cafe, I went back outside and when I couldn't see the kid anywhere, I almost ran the rest of the way to my car.
This happened on a Friday. The nagging fear stayed with me for the rest of that weekend. I was very nervous, which isn't like me at all. I'm usually a well-grounded and out going person, but for the next two days, I cut myself off from almost everyone. All I wanted to do was to stay behind locked doors until the fear went away. I jumped at every sound. I'm glad no one knocked on my door that weekend or I probably would have freaked out. I routinely checked my windows and locked doors and didn't really get any sleep at all and when I did, I had nightmares of seeing those eyes.
Thankfully the uneasy feeling had finally gone away by Monday, after I went back to work. A week or so later I told my friend, the one who saw you on TV, about what happened and she said it sounded like a black-eyed kid, which until then, I'd never heard of. I know what I saw was nothing in the way of makeup of any kind. But most of all the fear that took hold of me was something so unnatural, that the thought of it still bothers me and I know it will be a while yet, before I'm able to go back down town.
What I find very interesting about this sighting, is that it wasn't on a foggy night in a creepy part of town, but in daylight on a busy city street. This encounter definitely has the unnatural element, of the unexplained, written all over it."

Did Pharaoh Lake, NY Resident Witness a SASQUATCH 'BURIAL RITUAL?'
The following email was quite strange and, I felt at the time, needed further investigation. The email was written as a draft including an outline that was added with other notations. It was an odd format but the information was verified when I contacted the submitter. I was asked to write the commentary since they felt that they were not able to compose a story that would be understood by the readers.
I forwarded a copy of my final composition to DD which was approved. I inquired about the witness' (the cousin) willingness to be interviewed but that notation was rebuffed since the information sent to me was done so without the knowledge of the witness. All specific personal and location disclosure was agreed to be kept in confidence. Here is the transcript:
“During the recent holidays (Christmas 2010) I was able to talk to a cousin who lives in the Pharaoh Lake area in New York. He is a conservationist and an advocate for nature conservation. He recently made a discovery that is fascinating but pains him since the information would most likely lead to Bigfoot hunters decimating wildlife and pristine forests.
While hiking and camping in a fairly remote forest in Essex County, NY (the most specific location he will give) he came across what he describes as a "Sasquatch ritual burial".
One evening while he was making his way back to camp he heard "muffled grunting" coming from his right. His attention was directed toward a thick stand of sugar maple trees. He crouched down behind a large fallen tree and witnessed 3 large hairy bipedal figures, Sasquatch standing around a large tree stump. It looked like a large female who towered above her companions. He estimated that she was 8 foot+ and that the others were about 5-6 feet tall. Each one of the figures was "swaying' and "grunting." This activity continued for almost 10 minutes when they suddenly stopped and started to run in the opposite direction. He was fearful that they had noticed his presence somehow. Since it was now getting dark he decided to continue to his camp and return the next day.
The next morning he anxiously made his way back to the site where he had seen the Sasquatch. When he reached the site he noticed a 4 foot high hollow sugar maple stump with 4 gray squirrel tails attached to the top edge and suspended outside the stump. It looked like a "sort of decoration". He also noticed a terrible stench that reminded him of very strong urine. He looked into the stump - it was empty, but there was some dark fur, a few blood stains and a large piece of old deer hide.
He surmises that the Sasuatch may have "buried" a small child or infant in the stump and that they either came back to move it after noticing him or that a scavenger took it during night.
Do you or others believe that this could have been a Sasquatch 'funeral' or ritual burial?” DD
NOTE: When I originally posted this commentary, I received responses from several doubters. But no one was able to offer an alternative reason for the actions of these Sasquatch. Is it possible that Sasquatch conducts spiritual rituals? Any information would be welcomed. Lon

'GLIMMER MAN' & OTHER UNEXPLAINED SIGHTINGS Reported Near Killeen, Texas
A Killeen, Texas man reports seeing a 'Glimmer Man,' as well as a few other unexplained beings & creatures in the area. Very interesting account.
The following account was forwarded to me by my friends Cam & Kyle at Expanded Perspectives:
"I just listened to one of your recent episodes about a Glimmer Man. I haven’t been able to make heads or tails of this.
I live on the very southern edge of Killeen, Texas. I am surrounded by huge ranches and the country. A couple months ago, I was on my way to the nearest gas station to grab a couple of beers for the night and it is a little over four miles to get around the ranch I live by, to get to the gas station. It’s central Texas, with scrub oaks, cedars, Cacti, Yuccas, and such, so it’s hilly and scrubby, but has its open areas.
Anyway, about the mid-point of my trip, I get to a stop sign, turn left, and go up this hill. I’m accelerating and keep looking down at the speedometer to check my speed. I finally get to speed, turn on the cruise control so I don’t have to worry about it, and then I go back to paying attention to my surroundings. There are a few things that bother me with this story and it’s why I’ve held off submitting it. As I crested the hill, still on my way to get some beer, I saw a Glimmer Man. Plain and simple. I only noticed it as I crested the hill. It was on the left side of the road. It seemed to be upright but quickly squatted to all four and ran across the road. I don’t really think it was a man though.
I first noticed movement off to my left, actually on the left shoulder (it was a two-lane road). What I then saw was a figure; it squatted to all fours. It galloped across the road and crossed it in three “gallops.” It moved like it was bipedal, but was moving on all four. It seemed to be made of water, but a “softer” water; if that makes sense and it was huge. I’m 6 foot tall and it made me feel small. It was around two in the afternoon when this occurred. I think what I saw was the light reflecting off of the figure. That’s how I was able to see it. Two other things bother me about this and make me question myself.
They are:
1. The thing I saw, well, looked like a dogman, well that or the creature from the 'Alien' film franchise. I saw many teeth, long, muscular limbs, a slender torso, and what seemed to be pointed ears but they were laid back. I saw the teeth, head, body, and limbs (which were distorted because they were moving so fast). I’m not going to lie; if I would’ve had something in my bladder, I’d have soiled myself. I still haven’t come to terms with it.
2. This exact same SPOT, not area, but spot, my grandson was in the back of my Jeep. We were going to the same gas station. I had the top and doors off which gives you a pretty good view of everything. So while traveling through this same spot, my grandson said he saw a kangaroo. This was approximately two years prior. I spent several months, after his comment, scouring the area as I drove through, looking for a kangaroo. I’ve had no luck spotting one yet. Now, that I’m retired from the Army; I’ve met people from everywhere. One of my close friends from Jay, TX used to have wallabies as pets when he was a kid. So not out of the realm of imagination. However, it’s goats, cattle, and horses around here because the land is so rough.
I kept close watch through there for months afterward, to see if I could spot it. All I saw were roadrunners, turkeys, deer, and such. I have no clue what he could’ve seen. However, after much reflection, the only thing I can think of is the backward knees and upright stature. Maybe that’s why he called it a kangaroo. My grandson was 7 years old at the time.
Since my sighting, I’ll go to the gas station to grab a beer and bring my dog with me. She’s a Great Dane/Catahoula mix and really just looks like a huge hound dog. Anyway, the first couple of times I took her through that very area, she’d go nuts as if she’d smelled something. She’d run back and forth from one side to the other. The third time, last week, she started growling when we went through there. I still didn’t see anything but the area where she growled was the same place where the aforementioned instances occurred. I don’t know what to make of it and haven’t said anything to anyone. I’m just wondering what y’all think of it or am I just going crazy and paranoid. Very Respectfully, Jason"

Welcome to Phantoms & Monsters Radio. In this episode, I welcome my friend & colleague Tobias Wayland to the show. We will be discussing the newly reported Chicago/Lake Michigan Mothman & winged humanoid sightings as well as any updates to previous reports.
Tobias Wayland is a Fortean investigator who has been investigating the unusual for over a decade. The first several years of his investigative career were spent as a MUFON field investigator and following that he investigated independently before becoming the head writer and editor for The Singular Fortean Society. Tobias is a frequent guest on various podcasts and radio shows, has written several books and contributed articles to periodicals on the paranormal, has appeared on television and in documentaries, and is often invited to speak at paranormal conferences and events. Tobias & Emily Wayland are members of Phantoms & Monsters Fortean Research. He was featured in the series premiere of Expedition X, and the Small Town Monsters documentaries Terror in the Skies and On the Trail of the Lake Michigan Mothman for his work investigating Mothman sightings around Lake Michigan. He and his wife Emily have been involved with the Lake Michigan Mothman investigation since its advent in the spring of 2017, and published a book chronicling the experience, The Lake Michigan Mothman: High Strangeness in the Midwest. His second and third books about unusual phenomena, Strange Tales of the Impossible and The Singular Fortean Society’s Yuletide Guide to High Strangeness, continue their work in investigating a variety of seemingly impossible events.

BLACK-EYED COUPLE Dressed in 50s Attire, Driving a Red 1957 Chevy Bel Air Convertible
A black-eyed couple wearing 50s-style clothing, driving a 1957 Chevy Bel Air convertible in December, is encountered at Sheepshead Bay, New York. Very bizarre account.
The following account was forwarded to me:
“My story begins on the Long Island Expressway back in December of 2001. I drove a black sedan for a car service from Delaware to JFK Airport in New York. I made the trip dozens of times and knew my way around the side streets on my route. One night around 12 AM I was on my way to JFK when a car exited the two-lane expressway at a standstill. I talked to my passenger, let's call him Steve, and decided to take the side streets. We jumped off at Sheepshead Bay and started on our way. We began talking about how creepy the name Sheepshead Bay is when, from out of nowhere, a 1957 Chevy Bel Air appeared. Steve jumped up and threw his arm over the side passenger seat and said, "Dude, check out that car!" We both looked out the driver's side window as we came to a stop at the red light where we were about to turn right.
As the car came to a stop, we continued to stare at the car. It was beautiful. Chrome trim. Red paint. Convertible. It was December. It had to be low 30s. There was a couple in the car both with 50s clothing on. It was a short guy with a brown derby hat and a brown coat. The woman had a scarf draped over her head like a hood. Big round-framed glasses and a leather coat. My passenger yells out, Nice ride! Both of them turned slowly in unison and looked at us. Black eyes! Huge black eyes. We both froze. As the light turned green, while still looking at us, they began to make a left turn. We sat there stunned as the car drove north towards Manhattan.
While still a bit stunned, we make the right turn. Not a word was said between me and Steve. He slumps back in his seat and says, What the hell was that? I had no answer. We continued down the road where I saw that the expressway was open so we jumped on the ramp and we were back on course. As we entered the expressway I could see the blue lights of emergency vehicles in the distance behind us. We were on the expressway alone. No other traffic ahead or behind us. It looked like smooth sailing from here on out.
Steve, at that point, was still shaken and he climbed back to the front and hopped into the passenger seat. We started talking about what just happened when I could see the headlights approaching in the rearview mirror. The first thing I thought was, I must have been speeding. I moved to the right lane and basically waited for the blue lights of a patrol car to come on so I could find a place to pull off since there was no shoulder to pull onto. All of a sudden the headlights moved to the right. I can't believe it I yelled, The car! It just jumped over the curb onto the sidewalk and began to pass us on the right. Guess who? The black-eyed couple was back. They passed us at over a hundred miles per hour. We looked over and with telephone poles flashing between us, the driver looked at us - his eyes were glossy black, and again, without taking his eyes off of us, he floated back onto the expressway and rockets out of sight. I say float because the car never actually jolted as they jumped the curb and passed us. It just kind of slid onto the sidewalk.
We continued down the expressway until we reached the airport. We didn't say a lot to each other as he got out of the car and grabbed his bag. Before he walked away he said Sheepshead Bay is a really creepy name for a neighborhood.” K

RED-EYED 'DEMON DOG' Encountered in Old House in Eastern Iowa
An eyewitness recounts his encounter with a red-eyed cryptid canine in Eastern Iowa. He and a few friends were exploring an old house when they came across the beast.
I received the following account:
"My friends and I saw some sort of dog-like demon thing in Eastern Iowa.
We were exploring this old house out in the country after dark, just looking around with maybe some mild vandalism. Well, we had checked out the upstairs and most of the downstairs when I saw a door that we hadn't been through yet.
I grabbed the door handle and suddenly had a feeling of dread come over me. I slowly pushed the door open and noticed that the room was slightly lit up with a dim red light that had no discernible source.
I got the door probably halfway open, then heard an incredibly deep growl and saw the upper end of a dog thing, probably around the size of a German Shepard. Its teeth protruded past its upper and lower lips a rather significant amount, and its stance was super hostile.
The thing that really scared me though was its eyes, they were glowing red.
I noticed that there was blood and viscera all over everything, chunks of flesh and organs all over the floor, and streaks of blood on the walls. The smell was overpowering.
I slammed the door and hightailed it out of there.
Here's the part where I'm an idiot. I went back about noon the next day. I had a huge knife with me when I went back to the door, and slowly grabbed the handle, but felt none of the dread from the night before. I pushed it open and I kid you not, this perfectly square, windowless room, was literally coated in blood and fur.
I could see what looked like 3 separate mutilated dog corpses. They weren't cut apart, they were shredded. I nearly threw up, shut the door, and left again. I'll never go back there again, especially after dark." ER
