FEMALE BIGFOOT Rescues Boy at Long Lake Park, Lakeville, Ohio (1943)

I received a correspondence from Marc A. DeWerth of the Ohio Bigfoot Organization about a post from September 2012. Marc included some additional information on this particular incident.

"Hi, Lon. I somehow stumbled onto your site today and noticed the report from the retired lawyer who claimed to be picked up by a female Sasquatch and carried to safety. Great report that I believe to be authentic.

I talked with the gentleman some years back when he was having health issues at Canton General Hospital and he sent me a copy of his drawing in the mail (the one on your website). One thing of note that I might add is that after some long conversations with him, the location of the campground that he was at was called Long Lake Park in Lakeville, Ohio right off of State Route 3. Long Lake Park Campground.

This was the only campground open in 1943 in that specific area mentioned. Thanks for posting his story. I've always appreciated stories from long ago." Marc

Somewhere between Cleveland and Columbus in one of the little campsite areas along State Route 3, from what he recalls.

I would be happy to send you a copy of a colored picture I drew when I was 5 years old back in 1943 of what possibly could have been a bigfoot. I was lost out in the woods while camping with my parents somewhere in central Ohio and this large female ape-like creature put me back in our camp. Then I started screaming and my parents who were out looking for me heard me and came back to the camp and found me. I have not shown this picture to many people because they would have thought I was crazy. I was a lawyer here in Summit County for nearly 40 years and I did not need any aspersions cast upon my sanity. I have had two cancer surgeries in the past six months and I would now like to leave the original of this picture as a bequest in my will to the right kind of museum before anything else happens to me. I also hope that this picture might corroborate the testimony of people with similar experiences whom nobody would believe before. If you don't have the time to look at it, please let me know the address where the picture can be sent by parcel post or UPS. I am grateful to that blessed creature for my life and would like to honor her memory in some way.

Followup:

The subject stated he remembers being picked up by something. He saw its arm and he was carried. He described that it looked to him like a gorilla woman. She had deep big brown eyes. Since it was so long ago, he doesn't remember details except that she had a fox-like color of brownish red. It was covered in coarse hair.

He remembered being carried for what he thought had to be over a minute. He described her as fast, strong, and bigger than his father who stood five feet eight inches tall. He recalls being held; an odor commonly described as dead or rotting meat. He stated that her teeth looked stained and she had bad breath. I asked, why a woman, and he said he didn’t know but she acted that way. She had no enlarged breasts. He also kept saying she had deep brown eyes but not so deeply cut into her skull.

He said she took him and cut through the forest. He was terrified, she held him in her right arm. He remembers how fast she walked and that she cut through the forest like butter and she knew where she was going. He said he cried hard and was terrified, but she did not hurt him. She took him to a place where his parents eventually found him and she put a heavy branch on his legs so he could not move. Then she left. I asked about her build and he said she was solid with "good shoulders". Since it was so long ago there was a lot he couldn't remember, but he felt she was (even though she looked so hairy) a woman.

This witness went on to say he spent the rest of his life not sharing his story but after retiring, he thought "WTH" and began sharing his experience. He mentioned that he could not get his parents to believe him. They passed it off as imagination. The only adult he mentioned as believing him was his kindergarten teacher and his father was thought to discredit her by the beliefs she held.

The question "What did your parents think of you being pinned down by the log or branch?" was recently asked of this man. He reminded me that his parents were from the city and in a state of panic (even hysterics) because he was missing. Being frightened so much of the woods in the dark in the rain, they would have figured he would have never survived being lost. He presumed that his parents thought it might be a natural situation such as a branch being blown down by the trees, regarding him being pinned by a heavy branch. As unlikely as that sounds, it is certainly more acceptable than what he described as happening to him at the time. He feels this report is important in that it may help to influence young people to share any unusual experiences they have had. Back then, he had nowhere to go with it and nobody to talk to about it. When he tried to talk about it he was met with rejection so after a while, he completely stopped since he only met one adult person who would believe him.

15-FOOT-LONG, BLUE-EYED GARGOYLE Possibly Summoned in the Ozarks

An eyewitness recalls his encounter and his friends' subsequent encounter with a blue-eyed gargoyle-like creature or demon that they believe was summoned by them. Unusual account.

I received the following account:

"This story is only partly a first-hand account. Events that may have led up to this point come from my friend group at the time. They were trustworthy but I only saw this thing once. A lot of the really intense encounters with the paranormal for me were in these Ozarks woods beside where my friends lived. As for the previous events, basically, I had this one friend who had had many encounters and dealings with various beasties and I learned a lot from him. The other two friends believed but not as deeply. Poked hornets' nests often and just did all-around stupid stuff. Found this old book on satanic witchcraft (not that in of itself is stupid), drew sigils willy-nilly, pronouncing Latin wrong, started doing drugs experimentally (cocaine and heroin) but stopped, and cleaned up, but they still did stupid stuff. They wanted tangible proof of this sort of thing.

They found an abandoned shack in the woods, drew some summoning circle in red spray paint in a window, put some of their blood on it, and did a ritual of some sort. Nothing happens. A couple of weeks go by and they are walking through the woods and they get all panicky for no reason, like their flight or fight goes into overdrive and they get lost from the panic and see this thing in the treetops following them. They finally make it back home and tell my other friend (the intelligent one) what happened. He thought they were just freaking out and it was probably nothing.

Another week goes by during which they tell me and we all make plans to hang out. We were outside chit-chatting, smoking cigars, and enjoying the night. All of a sudden I happen to look across to the other apartment building and I see what looks like this massive hand gripping the roof and see this tail swaying but it’s giant. I asked them if they had seen it too and they did. We go around trying to debunk this.

The trees were down a hill and weren’t visible from the other side but then I saw these bright blue eyes look at us on a massive head. We go back towards where we were in case we need to bolt inside and we can see better in the light. We keep watching and this very muscular arm hoists up this thing on top of the roof and it lays across it like a 15-foot-long muscular cat. It was dark so it’s hard to say for certain of the color but it didn’t have fur and it looked dark grey. The head looked like it had horns but again it was dark. There was definitely something there but we weren’t sure what. It gets off the roof and hear it slide on the gravel down the hill and tear back off into the trees. Nothing else spectacular happens that night and so ends my personal account.

However, they told me later that the two buddies, who did the so-called ritual got so freaked out, they went back to the shack and destroyed the circle with a rock and didn’t close the summoning. They refused to go hiking there anymore after they told us that they saw this “15-foot tall, skinny gargoyle, no wings, and blue eyes with no pupils, chased after them when they tried to go in.” Something freaked them out because the “edgy Satanists” and militant atheists started attending evangelical Christian churches. The only thing I know for certain is what I saw, the rest could be completely made up. I researched Ozark's cryptids but couldn’t find anything that matched. My more experienced friend said he thinks they did summon a demon and severed its way back/hold they had on it so it attacked.

TRANSLUCENT HUMANOID & LOST TIME Experienced in Aguada, Puerto Rico

A Puerto Rican experiencer encounters a 'man' with strange features and translucent skin. The being asks for the location and directions to the Arecibo Observatory.

I received the following account:

“In a rural area outside of Aguada, Puerto Rico, where I used to live, I saw a strange man with greenish-hued translucent skin who didn't appear human. I was 22 years old when it happened, and now I'm 45. I really think it was an alien. It could not walk that well, but a few things got my attention. It had the right hand on the left. What I mean, the fingers were backward. Where there was supposed to be the pinky was the thumb. It also walked with difficulty and when I looked at its feet I saw that were the same as his hands, in the wrong place. The skin was translucent. it looked really weak.

I didn't feel scared. I just felt calm and with the need to go where it was. When it talked to me, it was talking part with its lips and part in my mind. It asked me if I knew where the Arecibo Observatory was. The Arecibo Observatory is a radio telescope in the municipality of Arecibo, Puerto Rico. It is also the biggest in the world.

I didn't have time to answer when I saw a blue flash of light and I blacked out. I woke up sitting on the balcony of my house two hours later. When I saw it the time was around 10:00 pm and when I woke up it was 1:20 am. I would like to be hypnotized to know what happened to me during those two hours of lost time. I live in Philadelphia now, but I have a house in Puerto Rico where that happened.

That was my craziest experience. It has stuck with me for all these years, but I believe it is time to find out what had really happened." C

BRIGHT SILVER MONKEYS Seen at Pretty Lake, Dousman, Wisconsin?

An eyewitness at Pretty Lake in Dousman, Wisconsin inquires about her sighting, as a child, of '5 silver monkeys' attempting to gain access to a window outside of a house.

I received the following account:

"Hi, Lon. I've been reading several of your Wisconsin-related reports over the past few months, especially those posted in the 'Strange Wisconsin' group.

It was in 1952 and I was about 10 years old at the time. I was spending the summer at my aunt and uncle’s summer house on Pretty Lake in Dousman, Wisconsin. The property bordered the small lagoon portion of the lake.

I was playing in front of the house which was parallel to the lagoon. At some point, I got up and walked to the side of the house that was facing away from the lake. I saw about 5 "things" standing on top of each other trying to reach the bathroom window. The window was just a small opening that opened outwards and opened from the top, not the bottom. I was shocked that these bright "silver monkeys" were trying to get into the house. I started running to go into the house and tell my aunt, and then everything went blank.

I know that I never did tell her about the silver monkeys because in the evening, she was giving me a bath and I asked her to close the window because I did not want the silver monkeys to come in. She said there were no silver monkeys. Have you ever heard of a similar sighting in the area? KL

MOTHMAN Lands on Horse, Causing Burns, Near Point Pleasant, WV

A Point Pleasant woman describes an incident where her horse was 'burned' by the Mothman. It had landed on the back of the horse in which she was then bucked off. Strange account.

I received the following account:

“I just wanted to share an incident that I experienced in Point Pleasant, West Virginia where I went to high school. I was in a video production class right around the time the movie 'The Mothman Prophecies' with Richard Gere was being made. So we decided to make a documentary.

We spoke to a woman in her 70s who, during the time of the original sightings back in the 1960s, said that she was out riding her horse one day and she said she suddenly felt someone sit down behind her. All of a sudden the horse bucked her off and went crazy. She chased the horse down and then looked at the horse. Burned into the flesh of the horse were the legs of a humanoid. She immediately got in contact with a veterinarian, who came to their farm to treat the horse.

The veterinarian never asked how the horse got burned as if he had seen this type of burn before. Other than the burn, the horse was fine.

Later that week, she confided to a friend that whatever it was that sat behind her on the horse had very thin, insect-like legs. She also said that it had the odor of ammonia. She also said that when she was backed off the horse she caught a glimpse of the being on the horse. She saw huge butterfly-like wings that were yellow in color.

She swears up and down that this was the Mothman. Also, it turns out that the veterinarian was one of the 46 victims who died during the Silver Bridge collapse on December 15, 1967. I just thought that was an interesting story.”M

New Mexico Hunter SHOOTS BIGFOOT. Then It Vanishes!

Gene in Albuquerque, New Mexico called in to tell of his bizarre Bigfoot story. He was hunting and encountered a Bigfoot near Gallup. He shot the creature, and it literally vanished!

“Gallup is a border town on the Arizona / Mexico border on I-40, you cross into Arizona. It's an Indian reservation, north. It's all Native American Navajo. I lived out there. I was married to a Navajo girl. I lived out in the south of Gallup. When you go south you go up in altitude. You go up about 8 thousand feet, 85 thousand feet. It's all pine trees in these mountains. Her family had land way out in the middle of nowhere. I mean it was beautiful. I can't even begin to describe where I was at. Very few belladonnas - white people.

I was hunting out there. I got up really early one morning. Left the hogan. We lived way out there. I took off and was actually looking for elk. It was that season. And I'm way up there in the mountains. I'm out there probably about 7 o'clock. The sun's coming up, and something's following me. I'm an ex-Navy corpsman. I know when something's following me. I'm about an hour and a half back in and I'm way out in the middle of nowhere. So I go around and I end up on a box canyon on top of this mesa that overlooks the boonies. It's like a thousand-foot drop-off. Okay. Real quick, I head back towards the box canyon. I was trying to get away from whatever was following me.

All of a sudden I hear these thundering footsteps and I lean up against the wall and here comes about 7 horses out from the middle of nowhere into this box canyon. Wild horses. I get around the box canyon and there it is. It jumps off the top of a twenty-foot dead-end box canyon. I was at the bottom. I'm looking up and now I'm looking at it. And it jumped, one foot down, one foot up on the side. It was exactly what everybody says that you guys talk about (Noory says Bigfoot) Yeah... and I'm in the middle of the Indian reservation on the top of a little mesa. It blew my mind. It looked right at me. I was less than fifty yards from it. I took off running. I didn't freeze. I took off running. I was armed to the hilt. I ran around the box canyon and got out of the box canyon as quick as I could.

Then something threw a rock at me. It was a huge rock. I'd say it weighed about 8 pounds. It would have killed me. I looked and I tripped out. At 120 to 200 yards there it was, and it looked at me. I'm telling you. It blew my mind. It threw an 8-pound rock at least 120 yards. And this thing was not small. This thing was huge.

Okay. I was armed with a .270, 4 by 15 by 15. And I am a crack shot. Let me tell you what. I hit it! I hit it! It took two steps and poof it just disappeared into thin air. It was like it was never there. The footprints were there but there was no blood. True story! dude, I know I hit it. I watched it change expression.

(Noory asks how tall it was) Ah man, it had to have been 8 and a half feet, probably weighed close to 600 pounds. I don't know where it's from but wherever it came from, when I hit it, it had the ability to just disappear into thin air. You know, I looked. I followed the footprints. I walked the 120 yards. It wasn't that far from the top of a mesa it had nowhere to go. Never ever have I seen it again and never ever have I gone back, not by myself.”

LIFE-LONG ABDUCTEE Believes Aliens & Earth Governments Are Genetically Transforming Humans

An abductee describes her first experience, and why she believes that these alien beings and our government are working together to genetically transform the human species.

I received the following account:

"I'm a 43-year-old woman and have been abducted 3 times (that I can at least remember). It started when I was 12 years old. I was in my bedroom star-gazing out of my window in Arlington, Texas at around 11:15 PM on November 22, 1992. I saw a light moving in the night sky that moved slowly south. It was not blinking and was like a hazy ball of white light. It would stop and go frequently and move in one direction then disappear and reappear going in another direction. I noticed it getting brighter as if it were getting closer to me.

All of a sudden it stops and a beam of light comes straight at me. I fall back off of the table I was sitting on and I can't see anything but white. My eyes were blurred and couldn't see anything but light. I got cold and felt like I was floating.

Then I am all of a sudden in the presence of 3 beings and I'm lying on a metallic table. The beings were short and skinny with long arms. Their heads were elongated and their bodies were like a pale human with tinted skin of grey and had a texture of scales on their body and wrinkles on their face, especially near their eyes. Their eyes were slanted and large black shiny eyes. When they blinked, their eyelids were transparent like a reptile, almost clear. They had a small mouth and almost like a frown. I felt as if I was in a trance state. I could move but was too scared to, so I lay there and looked down at the straps holding my arms and legs. It looked like a type of flexible metal, but soft.

They poked me with a needle that came down from the ceiling and a monitor was floating around me and I could see myself on the monitor. Like a floating TV going all around my body. I began to scream and the one being, who I believe was older and possibly male in gender, looked at me and spoke to me through my mind in a robotic-like human voice and told me I had nothing to worry about. All of a sudden I looked at him and thought what do you want. He responded we are here to help you. We are of many and we are one of the same. I asked, "What do you mean we are the same?" He looked at the other two beings and then the other smaller being said in a female robotic-like voice, "We protect your race from others who want to harm you."

I kept asking questions and they began to ignore me. They put a film of clear soft silk-like material over my face and I don't remember anything after that. I woke up in my bedroom on the floor and wobbled my way to the window and they were gone. I looked at my clock and it was 11:34 PM. It had only been 20 minutes or so, but it felt like hours had gone by.

Throughout the years I have had multiple abductions and it's just not something you go telling people without getting a weird look. Back in 2012 I began a blog online and explained many of my experiences. 'TIME GLITCH' Causes Experiencer Auto Accident on the Tamiami Trail in Florida

A Florida driver is on the Tamiami Trail in the Everglades and notices a black unmarked helicopter. The craft flashes a red light and the driver immediately experiences a time glitch.

I received the following account:

"This happened in 2005. I got a job in Florida working construction. My day ended around 4:30 pm and I was heading home towards Tamiami Trail through the Everglades doing about 35 mph and could see the intersection about half a mile ahead.

I looked up and noticed 3 black unmarked helicopters flying low overhead, about a 1/4 mile ahead. One of the helicopters turned towards me, and I could see a red light start blinking on its nose. That's when the glitch happened.

No more than a second later, I found myself heading towards the rear end of a vehicle stopped at the intersection. My foot was still on the gas, so I had to quickly slam both feet on the brake and hit the car going full-on. I explained this to the cops, but they just looked at me weirdly and gave me a ticket.

The only explanation I can come up with is that the universe reset, and put me half a mile ahead of where I should've been. There have been other glitches since, but I'll get to them another time. Thanks for reading, every word is true." H

Young Appalachia Hunters Encounter Massive 'SHEEPSQUATCH' in Breckinridge County, Kentucky

Two young hunters in the Appalachian Mountains in Breckinridge County, Kentucky encounter a massive, white, growling biped. They shot at it and ran away, not knowing if they had wounded or killed the beast.

“In July 2004, Dakota Cheeks and Ricky Joyce set off on a hunting trip into a remote area of Breckinridge County, Kentucky. Ricky's grandparent's cabin was at the foot of a hundred acres of dense timber. It would be their base camp.

On the first morning, one of Ricky's dogs would not come when called. They found her deceased in a ditch, her head twisted all around. “There's no animal up here that can grab an animal by its chin and the back of its head and twist it, you know, no coyote can do it, there's no bear, as far as I know up here,” Dakota noted. They had been hearing noises (growls and screams) coming from the top of the mountain and using their four-wheelers, they went out to the hilltop to look for what might have killed the dog. “We decided we're gonna hop on the four-wheelers and stake out the hilltop. We ended up going to the far side of the property where nobody really goes. There are no trails. We make a couple laps around the field that way we can both easily see where the four-wheeler has been so we know where to look.,” Cheeks recalled. They spent a good portion of the day looking for whatever it could be but found nothing. Eventually, they retreated back to the camper.

Right away they began hearing strange noises, like something was walking around. At around 5:00 AM, the dogs started barking. They ran off. Soon something began slamming into the trailer. “It literally sounded like all hell was breaking loose. It's almost like you can hear something pressing up against the side and you can kind of hear the tent start to bend. Just that weird, eerie metal sound,” Dakota said. Suddenly whatever it was, stopped and walked away. Eventually, they armed themselves and headed out on their four-wheelers to look for the creature that rocked their trailer. They looked most of the day into the evening.

Just after dusk, they had crossed through a cemetery and just entered an open field when they saw something. Ricky spotted it first, “I'd seen something standing in the field and at first I thought it was a tree. It was tall but it was also kind of hunched over a little bit. It was big. It was white.” “Its arms were long but they were kind of out like this and they had these long talons. It was too big to be a person. When it was on two legs, it stood at least nine feet tall. I mean it was massive. When it noticed us it let out this just ungodly gut curling growl. It came straight at us,” Dakota said, adding, “We saw Sheepsquatch. That's what we saw!” They shot at it while rushing back to Ricky's grandparent's cabin. They weren't certain they actually hit the creature but they never saw it again that evening. “I've been in some pretty scary situations but most situations you know what you're dealing with on that one I didn't so I didn't know how to react. That's quite possibly the scariest moment in my life,” Ricky recalled. “It made me believe the unbelievable. I didn't believe in myths. I didn't believe in wives' tales, none of that until I saw that, and after that changed my life forever, I mean there are things out there and we don't know what they are.”

The two friends continue to look for the creature to this day. Ricky and Dakota's story was reenacted for an episode of Travel Channel's “Monsters and Mysteries in America”. Along with Dakota and Ricky, Stacey Morgan, Dakota's aunt, and Wayman Morgan, Dakota's uncle, were also interviewed for the program. A Breckenridge County resident, Susan Noe, was also interviewed. She described seeing an upright Sheep-like creature while driving home one evening."

UPDATE! Is There a MONSTER Living in Moosehead Lake, Maine? (NEW PHOTOS)

A reader, who is currently vacationing on Moosehead Lake, Maine, was taking a walk along the lake when she noticed a large greyish-blue, smooth-skinned creature break the surface.

On 1/8/2023 I received an update email with photos:

"Good afternoon, Lon.

Additional information, which I failed to mention in the previous email before I got into the important stuff.

The photographs I sent the other day were taken close to Sugar Island, there's a handful of little islets, which is where I saw the animals. They were taken from the shoreline during the early-ish morning, around 9 or so.

I've seen the animal again but barely managed to take photographs this time, two of which are unfortunately just ripple photographs, although one did get the head.

It's from the front, so I'm not sure if perspective is playing a part in what I'm seeing (I only got a good look at it while taking the pictures briefly). It appeared to have its mouth open, I believe I saw some teeth but I can't confirm.

Had no visible ears, and smooth greyish-blue skin. Dark eyes, I assume forward-facing since I could see them from the front. Couldn't make out any nostrils, blowholes, or anything of that sort. No appendages, frills, etc around the head.

Entertaining the idea that it's something known, it looks fairly close to a leopard seal but I do not believe that to be the case at all since they're restricted to the Southern Hemisphere. Maybe it's some other kind of seal? No clue. More confidently can say it isn't a fish, though.

Appreciate you sharing my previous photos, hoping that these will be of interest as well. Definitely would like a good look at whatever this is before I leave on Friday, I'll let you know if anything more interesting happens.

Here is the original email that I received on 1/6/2024:

"Good evening Lon!

I'm currently on vacation in Northern Maine, at some family's houses near Moosehead Lake.

Earlier this morning, I was walking along the edge of the lake and saw a large animal (?) surface briefly. Managed to take three photos I'm sending your way.

It was a greyish-blue, with no real identifiable traits. Skin looked smooth, and had some lighter stripes. At least two of them, right next to each other. That surfacing was really short and then they disappeared.

I do not believe these are fish or seals, but I can't confidently rule anything out. Hopefully, you will be able to spread the word and maybe get something more conclusive.

If you want more information let me know! Apologies for the blurry photographs, going to attempt some better stuff tomorrow, maybe I'll see something.

NOTE: Moosehead Lake is located in west-central Maine, and is a landlocked body of water. It is approximately 120 miles southeast of the St. Lawrence Seaway and 125 miles northwest of the Atlantic Ocean. There are no rivers or other waterways connecting the lake to ocean sources.

The known fish species in the lake consist of Landlocked salmon, Lake trout, Brook trout, Round whitefish, Rainbow smelt, Smallmouth bass, White perch, Yellow perch, Longnose sucker, White sucker, Rompout (bullhead), and Burbot (cusk).

There have been rumors of a Wendigo haunting the lake area traditionally, but as far as a lake monster, I couldn't find any substantial references. Lon
