2 Separate CRYPTID CANINE Encounters Reported in Arlington, Ohio - Hancock County

2 accounts of possible cryptid canines encountered in and around Arlington, Ohio (Hancock County) by different witnesses. What did the witnesses observe?

The following account was forwarded to me:

"When I was a teen back in the early 2000s I had a great fascination with werewolves. My uncle told me of this time when he and a friend were driving around Arlington, Ohio and a creature had walked in the middle of the road that looked like a big dog and the back reached the hood of the car, but was longer and had more mass than any dog they had ever seen. He said then it leaped to the side of the road and they drove off quickly.

Now I at first called him a liar and said it was BS, but I went down to Florida 2 years ago and stayed with a cousin whose dad is one of my uncle's best friends. One night I was talking to him and I said, "Did my uncle ever tell you of the time that he and some friends were driving around Arlington..." This is where he interrupted me instantly and said a werewolf jumped out in front of the car. Now my uncle had not talked to this person for over five years and I had not mentioned anything about this to him before asking him.

I was later told, by my dad's girlfriend who grew up around Arlington on a farm, that something happened to her when she was 10 years old. She said that her family were all eating supper one night and they remembered that they had forgotten to feed the chickens that day. So they had to run out and do it after supper. Her dad told her and her younger brother to go out and feed them. They got out into the shed that the chickens were in and heard scratching and clawing at the side of the shed. They both froze on the spot, not moving a muscle. Her dad then walked to the back porch and turned the light on and he yelled out to them. "When I tell you to run, I want you to hold onto your brother and run for this door! Don't stop until you get to me!" So they ran as fast as they could when her dad told them to "run!"

When she reached the safety of the house, she asked him why he told them to run. He refused to tell her. So one day, when she was 16, her father told her what had happened. He had seen a shadow of something that reminded him of a bear on the barn by the shed. He said it was tall and slender and unlike any bear he had ever seen. That is all he told her." Name withheld

3 Separate Eyewitness Reports of CRAWLERS or ALIEN HUMANOIDS Observed in Mount Vernon, Ohio

Starting in August 2017, I received a series of humanoid sightings from 3 different witnesses in Mount Vernon, Ohio. Are these witnesses describing a crawler or alien humanoid?

"The date was 2018-08-17. I had just gotten back to the parking lot down from Mount Vernon, Ohio's Wolf Run Park and when I turned on my lights to leave I saw it in the woods. I felt like I was being followed my entire hike and I got a little lost on the way since I was feeling super sketched out so when I saw it I was panicking and super scared. It looked startled as my lights came on and made this strange gargling scratching sound and I felt super sick to my stomach. I don’t really know what it was. Like I thought it was just someone in the woods but its eyes looked weird and it looked smooth and naked. It seemed to vibrate in front of my eyes as I looked at it and I ripped my phone out of my pocket and tried to take pictures but my phone seemed to lag. I have an iPhone 6 Plus and I know my battery is having issues but I’ve never had anything like that. I slammed my car in reverse and got out of there as fast as I could. The noise it made still freaks me out like it was like a Velociraptor from a movie but it made me light-headed and made me feel sick in a strange way I’ve never felt." G

Later, I received another account from a different witness:

"As I was driving home on 31 July 2018 at 01:43 AM on Ohio State Route 13, north of Mount Vernon, Ohio, a 7-8 foot tall, skinny, humanoid-like creature ran across the road out of a cornfield across into a soybean field (from east to west direction). I noticed the creature in my headlights from 50-75 feet away as I was traveling at a rate of 55-60 mph. As it came out of the cornfield I immediately let off the accelerator. At first thinking it was a deer but then I saw the creature walk upright. It was 7-8 feet in height, with a tall slender body, arms, and legs small in diameter, hands and feet looked oversized for its body proportion, small neck with an oval elongated head, being dark tan to light brown skin tone and had no body hair.

The creature slightly turned its head towards my vehicle's headlights and I saw the creature's black eyes and small mouth just open slightly as it continued to run across the road. It barely took 2-3 steps and it was across the road at a tremendous rate of speed. I was in total shock and thought I should check it out at first but then I thought for a second and being uncertain of what I may have just seen I had better get out of the area. I lost sight of the entity due to darkness.

I am a 24-year USAF retired aircrew veteran with a top-secret security clearance. Not to be totally bliss but would someone please advise me on what I saw because it still and truly frightened me." D

I recently received a 3rd report of a humanoid sighting in the Mount Vernon, Ohio area. The eyewitness' daughter contacted me in June 2018:

"Hi, I am reaching out, not as a hoaxer, but to let you know that I received a phone call from my mom in Mount Vernon, Ohio recently telling me that she saw a figure of what appeared to be an alien come in one side of her basement and go out the other end of the basement. She describes this thing as being tall with long arms, and she didn’t see his face as she watched it from a side view but she did say that his head looked just a human's

I wish to have her identity anonymous please if she is not contacted. I thought you might be interested to know that there has been another sighting in this area. My mom said that she wasn’t scared nor did she feel any danger by this presence and that it just came in and left. Thank you." MN

NOTE: I contacted the 3 witnesses, who all gave me accounts of a humanoid similar to a crawler. These types of sightings continue to be reported worldwide. Lon

Vancouver Island Resident Hears LOUD CRIES & Experiences 'MIND SPEAK' in the Comox Valley

A Vancouver Island resident is walking her dogs when she hears an intense cry in the distance. She then receives a 'mind speak' communication that she believes was a female Sasquatch.

"I'm currently from the Comox Valley, Vancouver Island. I'm an active woman who walks with three dogs daily and I've witnessed some otherworldly experiences in these parts. I'm aware and understand that there are many other creatures breaking through the veil. I will not mention where these creatures are ascending from as it will most definitely add some negative attention to the area.

Last summer of 2023, one of my encounters was on a warm summer eve. My dogs and I hit the trails. It was approximately 7:30 PM. We set forth into a forest. The intensity of this area was common, however, the dogs needed their daily exercise off-leash. This area is approximately 2 miles of forested cedars, alder, and a swamp. Well, it started with the sounds of children laughing in the distance, as I thought we were alone. The sound faded to the sound of something thrashing on the other side of the swamp. The thrashing abruptly stopped. I felt slightly uncomfortable but not fearful. Then a guttural cry came from the direction of the trees where the thrashing had come a few seconds earlier. It's hard to describe the cry as it was otherworldly, beautifully executed with a second cry. That went right through my soul. My dogs looked at me with mere confusion. Something telepathically told me to leash up my dogs. As I did I took that as a gentle reminder telepathically. I said we would leave you quietly and so we did. I leashed up my perplexed dogs and walked gingerly in deep thought on our way out on the pathway.

It felt like we were ushered out by a presence that made one of the dogs abruptly stop in his tracks. This presence was beside us and intense. I then spoke to whatever it was that we were leaving respectfully with no intentions of coming back and the intensity of the presence ceased. My feelings were that this was a female Sasquatch encounter, as I now understand that they are only protecting their kind. We still have these beings tagging us on occasional outings and I gently remind them that we are not a threat. Our encounter was intense but ethereal on a spiritual level.

I'll never forget the cries of this creature, how beautifully it was composed and woke my being. Yes, that sounds hokie, but my exact feeling at that moment remains calm. If you're experiencing an encounter, mindfully change your thoughts with love. While processing an encounter with these beings you will not impose as a threat to them. They are merely trying to save their kind as we are destroying the world. Just like all wildlife on the Earth, we are the worst predators. As the realms unveil there will be more creatures exposed. Some will not be this forgiving.

The Comox Valley is definitely a hotspot for supernatural creatures and portals. I know I'm not alone and so thrilled that you're helping others as a messenger."

NOTE: The Comox Valley is the traditional territory of the Puntledge, E'iksan, and K'ómoks peoples. Today the three tribes are known as the K'ómoks First Nation. I believe that this experiencer may be of First Nations heritage. Lon

Summer of ’69: Saucers Among the Hopi

A contingent of Native American elders led by the Shoshone Chief Don Ingop from the Fort Hall Indian Reservation in Idaho accompanied the Venus contactee, Paul Solem of Howe, Idaho, on his celestial-appointed mission to the Hopi Reservation in Hotevilla, Arizona, at the start of August 1969. There Paul requested that they be allowed to meet with Chief Dan Katchongva, then 108 years old, the leader of the traditionalist Sun Clan, which was the smallest but most spiritually-oriented of the five Hopi clans. “We bring an important message from the Star People for Chief Katchongva,” maintained Solem.

The contactee and Chief Don were led into the presence of Chief Dan Katchongva by some of the younger Hopi men. When Solem explained to Chief Dan why he had come to the Hopi lands, some of these younger men broke out in laughter. “You don’t actually believe this guy?” said one of the young men. Chief Dan solemnly insisted, “Most certainly I do. Everything he has said is all part of our religion.”

One Young Man Takes Paul Solem Seriously

Titus Lamson, one of the young men from the Sun Clan, took Paul Solem’s words quite seriously. “Five or six months ago,” he testified, “I saw a brilliantly lit object sail over Hotevilla, moving in a westerly direction. It was a saucer-shaped construction with a dome and aerial on top. It became transparent as I watched it. Inside, I could see the back of someone dressed in a gray ski-jump outfit. The man wore blond hair reaching to his shoulders. He was facing an instrument panel. The object descended slowly until it nearly touched the ground and then disappeared over a ridge. I tried to search for it with my flashlight, but could not find it or any trace of it.”

Legends of Star People Visitations to the Hopi

The aged Chief Dan then relayed to Titus Lamson and the others assembled one of the ancient Hopi legends. “Countless thousands of moons ago,” he explained, “there was a great flood that came and inundated the lands of our people. We were much greater in number then; but the flood forced us to divide into four groups, each group migrating in a different direction. One trekked to the east, another to the south, and yet another to the west. We are the descendants of the group that migrated to the north. It was a cold, hard, and frozen land; but we were alive and together. Then a very bright star appeared over our camp and our star brothers and sisters spoke to our elders from the midst of the star. They bid us to follow their star canoe that plied the sky both day and night, and they would lead us to a land that would be ours forever, as long as the Sun shined and the grass grew. And thus did the Great Spirit Maasau, the chief of the Star People, guide us to this land we call Old Oraibi, here in Arizona.”

Days of Tribulation and Judgment Coming Soon

Chief Dan then imparted some words about the future but did not specify any dates. “After Maasau landed the star canoe in Old Oraibi, he disembarked in the vicinity of Second Mesa. There at the mesa, he proceeded to draw a petroglyph depicting a Hopi maiden with a traditional butterfly hairdo being carried in a wingless, dome-shaped vessel. The arrival of this maiden,” he assured us, “signified the Day of Purification. At that time, all of the Hopi who wanted to go with her would be flown to Venus and other planets on ‘ships without wings.’ These are sky canoes similar to the one that brought the Great Maasau here in the first instance. The Great Maasau told us that all other worlds are inhabited and that not only are the prayers of the Hopi received by him and other chiefs of the Star People on these other worlds, but that following the Day of Purification, any of the Hopi who wanted to live on these other planets would certainly be most welcomed.”

The Great Spirit Maasau, materializing on the Earth plane, drew this petroglyph signifying the coming of Purification Day, when some of the Hopi would be flown to Venus and other planets to escape the tribulations that would befall the rest of the world’s inhabitants at the End of Days, i.e. the end of the world as we know it.

Paul Solem’s Mission to the Hopi

The arrival of Paul Solem among the Hopi was causing some factional splits among them, especially since Chief Dan Katchongva considered his new Idahoan friend to be sent from God and to be his “True White Brother.” There hadn’t been such divisions among the Hopi since 1906 when the tribal allegiances were split between the traditionalist and modernist factions. That is when the traditionalists were forced out of Oraibi and moved over into Hotevilla.

Chief Dan realized the importance of his friend Paul Solem and his mission to the Hopi peoples of Hotevilla and Oriabi, often referred to as “Old Oriabi” by many of the old timers on the reservation, situated some 190 miles northeast of Prescott, Arizona. Paul Solem had extensive experience as a cattle rancher, so Chief Dan let him stay on the reservation with him as long as he cared to. There he would work as a rancher during the day and study and learn from Chief Dan of all the traditions and prophecies of the Hopi people at night. Life was hard on the reservation, so Solem set up his wife with an apartment in Prescott. Paul lived with and was accepted by the Hopi Indians for several years. All of the Hopi recognized that he was the only white man who was taught the Hopi prophecies. And since he was an apprentice to Chief Dan, they knew that he had to possess a special spirit.

Paul Solem and Chief Dan Go to Prescott, Arizona

It was slightly more than one year that Paul Solem had been studying with Chief Dan when the chief realized that his apprentice was ready to begin his public ministry. Just as the Space People in their flying saucers had put on a marvelous sky show over the Hopi reservation lands in the Summer of 1969, it was time again for another fantastic aerial display, but this time it would be for the benefit of the white population settled in Prescott, who had heard rumors about Solem and the Native Americans seeing some UFOs but generally dismissed it all as a “bunch of hooey.”

It all started with a flying saucer flap at the beginning of August 1970. Initially, there were just some anomalist fires and lights in the night skies during the first week of August, but then on Friday, 7 August 1970, the cosmic dam broke open. Chief Dan confirmed with Paul Solem that this was the day when the sign everyone had been waiting for would be given. It was time to bring the Space People’s message to the inhabitants of Prescott, a diverse population then consisting mostly of cowboys, Mormons, New Agers, and a scattering of fundamentalist Christians.

Joe Kraus, a reporter for the Prescott, Arizona, Courier newspaper, met with Paul Solem on that momentous night of 7 August 1970. Solem had contacted Kraus and requested the meeting. Solem introduced himself as a rancher from Idaho living out on the Hopi reservation with the permission of Chief Dan Katchongva. He said that he came to Prescott, however, at the urging of angelic friends from Venus. These extraterrestrials, Solem, explained, were responsible for the recent increase in UFO sightings throughout Prescott and the surrounding areas. “I’m here this evening because the Venusians are going to manifest their presence in the skies above to draw attention to certain Hopi Indian prophecies. They want the people of Prescott to know that they, the Venusians, are real and serious about the message of the Hopi prophecies and their significance for the future of humankind, and particularly for the United States.”

Then Solem stepped apart from Kraus and a contingent of Prescott residents who had gathered with him to see if this alleged UFO contactee was the “real deal.” Solem asked everyone to maintain silence as he gazed up into the sky and began to mentally “call down” his Venusian friends in their flying saucers. After about 15 minutes, Solem declared, “They’re here. I can’t see them yet, but I know they are here. One just said, ‘We’re here, Paul!’ There are several people in the saucer. I can hear them talking.”

Then, after a couple of minutes, as Kraus reported in the Sunday, 9 August 1970 edition of the Courier, “A star appeared in the sky that wasn’t there before.” At that point, as Kraus and the others watched it, Solem repeated words that he allegedly received through mental communication with a being aboard the ship:

“My name is Paul 2, fourth in command of all ships that enter the atmosphere of the planet called Earth. We come to lend credence, and as a sign or token, that the Hopi prophecy was of a divine nature. Great sorrow and fear will come to this planet very soon and few will escape it. Our leader as spoken of in Hopi prophecy is already here on Earth in mortality and is known as the Apostle John, the same in the New Testament. The white brother shall be introduced by a huge fire and the Earth shall quake at his arrival. We are of the Ten Lost Tribes and we will return for several nights unless there is contempt for us.” Once Solem concluded his remarks, the new star that appeared overhead, just disappeared.

Of this object’s appearance, Kraus noted, “I stood in a backyard in Prescott with several neighbors and watched spellbound for almost a half hour Friday night. It looked like a star- almost. It rose in the sky, stopped, hovered, wavered to one side, and then continued across the sky repeating the maneuvers. A flying saucer? Yes, if we could believe our eyes.” Then, in referring to the alleged prophet who summoned the UFO in the first place, Kraus came to the conclusion that “Paul Solem is either a hypnotist, magician, has a vivid imagination or he is telling the truth. Whatever, he is dedicated to his work.”

The Prescott Saucer Flap

Kraus and his neighbors, in the company of Solem, were not the only ones sighting UFOs that night. In the Sunday edition of the Courier, the journalist wrote about others throughout Prescott who had called in with similar reports. There was a Baptist evangelist from Phoenix visiting a Prescott church to conduct a series of revival meetings, the Reverend John Foster, who claimed to have witnessed a “pulsating light moving across the night sky.”

Others throughout Prescott called in the Courier desk on Friday night to report seeing UFOs “zigzagging through the air” and “executing incredible maneuvers.” This flood of calls inspired Courier staff photographer Chuck Roberts to step onto the roof of the newspaper office building to see if he could capture a photo of at least one of the UFOs. Not seeing anything unusual at first glance, other than some star-like lights moving across the heavens at an extremely high altitude, he set up his camera to take a five-minute time exposure of the sky for subsequent analysis.

What one of the moving lights turned out to be was the Polar-orbiting satellite Pegasus, following a north-to-south vertical trajectory. The other light, however, crossed the path of the Pegasus satellite along a curved track. When the negatives were shown to an astronomer at the Lowell Observatory in nearby Flagstaff, Arizona, this second, arcing object, seen faintly in the photo above in the upper left to upper center, could not be classified as a star, meteor, planet, satellite or piece of space debris. In other words, this time exposure photo serves as proof that at least one of the objects reported that night in the skies over Prescott was a genuine UFO.

Most Spectacular Sighting

One of the more spectacular sightings of 7 August 1970 came from Prescott resident Irene Wood:

“We were on a hill on DeMerse Street; and at 8:15 p.m., we saw a huge brilliant mass of light look as big as three moons coming very fast from just over Thumb Butte. It seemed almost over Prescott and went to the east. It halted and a huge mass detached itself and fell straight down behind the hills.

“We came back in the house; and at 8:30 we saw another, smaller object that was reddish in color, with a glow…. No blinking lights, either. It came from exactly the same position and went the same route as the first. But when it got to the place where the first mass had detached its load, it let down six small red objects. There were no breakages apparent. Just as the thing hovered, the six fell and they were spaced exactly the same distance apart. At one time, we saw four of these things in the sky.”

(Editor’s Note: Further UFO sky watches led by Paul Solem would be held throughout the remainder of August 1970, thus adding credence to Solem’s words of warning. The message provided by the Venusians through Paul Solem in Prescott reemphasized the prophecies given at the Fort Hall Indian Reservation in Idaho, i.e. that “tremendous fires and blasts would rock North America before the beginning of a mass migration of Native Americans and peoples with blood connections to Native American peoples (mestizos) to unaffected areas of the continent, centering on the northwest corner of Missouri.” Was he referring to a coming World War III and its aftermath? BLACK-EYED KIDS Prowling Denver Neighborhood at Night

A young man on spring break was visiting his father in Denver. While out walking in the neighborhood late he notices two black-eyed kids harassing a man at his front door.

I received the following account:

“Here's a story that happened to me several years ago. So, I was on spring break. I went to my dad's in Denver, Colorado for the weekend. I had nothing to do late at night so I liked to walk the town. I was kinda walking around late at night alone. I know it can be dangerous but I only had one friend there. So, on Sunday night, I was out on the town alone, leaving a little pub that I found on Mead Street, probably around 1:00 in the morning. I was a little buzzed. Anyway, I wore a big black sweatshirt with dark jeans so that I could fend off any creepers. I hoped that worked. So, I was walking back home in the dark with my phone out as a flashlight on the street. There are limited street lights. Although it's a pretty safe neighborhood, I figured nobody would be out.

I was about three houses away from mine and looked over and I saw two figures on the porch, talking to a man who was shaking his head refusing to open the screen door. I stopped cautiously at the end of the driveway, holding my phone, ready to help or call 911 or something. I really had no idea what was happening. I could only think that these two people were harassing the man who kinda looked angry and maybe a little bit startled. So, by my own means, I didn't think I was gonna be able to help. I'm like 5'6 and 130 pounds. No fighting skills. I just thought that maybe my hoodie would make me look bigger than I did. So I just stood there watching. And I heard the two boys, the two kids, it sounds like. I stepped forward, kinda looking, you know, looking over at this place, kinda like involuntarily moving forward. I don't know why I was. I was like halfway up the driveway and the driveway was illuminated by the porch light so he could see me and I could see him. And I just stood there watching and I just heard the voices saying, "Let us in, we need to call our mom. Please you have to let us in." And these, it was like, no sense of fear in the voice. Just confident. I just stood there with chills running down my spine, unable to move.

I tried to make sense of the situation. From a normal point of view, it looked like a grown man was refusing to help two children late at night. But the sense of dread that I felt at that moment, just made no sense. Like, why is this guy so afraid of two little kids? So, finally, I cleared my throat, thinking this man might help the kids, or if the man needed help, I could still do something. So the man looked up and the kids turned around. And the man looked even more afraid at this point. He let out a yelp and slammed his door. It made me jump. And the kids looked at me and I looked straight at them and like every instinct that I had was telling me to run for it. I was almost home. I was just a couple of houses away. And I knew for a fact that my dad had left the door unlocked. So I could easily get away and get inside for safety.

The kids started coming closer. I could see them better in the light and I realized that they had no white in their eyes. It was just black. They slowly kept coming towards me. They didn't ask for anything. They didn't ask for help but they just seemed confused and I was confused. I don't know why I didn't run and I feel stupid for saying this because I wanted to but I was compelled to stay. And then the tallest child was right in front of me. He was only a few inches shorter than me and I glanced down at him, in a startled moment, he stared back up at me and he was like, "We have to use the phone." And his voice was eloquent, I guess, would be the way I would describe it. He knew what he wanted and for being alone with a stranger at 1:00 AM he did not seem at all afraid. I said, "I don't have one" and I kinda backed up because I didn't want to be that close to him but I still couldn't run even though I wanted to. Then he said. "Please, can we come in and use the phone? We need to get a hold of our mom." And like all my instincts told me to lie because, at this point, I didn't think I could outrun them. After all, they were right in front of me. They told me they needed to call their mom and I said, alright, my instincts were basically to lie. So I just said, "I don't have a phone and I don't live on this street or anywhere near here, I'm sorry." I could tell my voice was kinda shaking just because I was so nervous. "I'm in the same boat as you guys, my ride ditched me and I'm just walking until I find a phone too." I figured that maybe they would like to leave me alone if they believed that I had nothing.

It was not until around this time, this point in the night when I kinda remembered something I had heard about the black-eyed kids but I still kinda refused to believe it. But then, I also refused to help these children that were staring at me, standing there. You would think, harmless children, but I was just, I don't know, anyway, they were like, "Please help us, we need to be let in.: I was like, "I don't know, try another house or a pay phone. I have some change if you want it." And they were like, "No, just forget it." I was like, 'I'm sorry, I wish I could help.' They were just staring at me blankly.

I know I look younger than I appear, especially with my big hoodie. So I thought maybe they thought I was only like a teenager so they both kind of let me off. Then they both kind of nodded and stared and I was like, "Okay, I have to go. Good luck" and I turned and walked in the direction that I came. Not running. And just kept thinking, they can smell fear, they can smell fear, they can, they can smell fear. So I walked. I did not reach for my phone. I just kept walking. And I must have walked like three or four blocks away from my street and I turned around and headed back and my heart was just pounding like crazy. I walked up my street cautiously, just looking for the kids.

I didn't see anything until I reached the house again. The porch light was still on and the man was standing there with the door open, the screen door closed, holding a baseball bat and he was shaking. Our eyes met and I looked at him confused until I realized that I looked like one of those kids. That's why he was so scared because I was wearing a hoodie. I said, I called out, "Did the kids leave?" And he was like, "The ones you were with earlier?" And I kinda jumped back again, I said, "The ones that were outside that talked to me for a few minutes and they wanted to call their mom, did they leave? Do you know if they left?" He was like, "I watched them walk away earlier. I don't know, I feel uneasy and I won't let you in.' I was like, "Okay, I have to go home. I don't need to be let in."

So, anyway, I don't go to my dad's that often so it makes sense that he wouldn't recognize me in the dark. So I walked home and I got there safely. I locked the door. I sat in the kitchen for a long time. I was afraid to go into my room because there was a huge window in my room. I was just really afraid that somebody might be looking back at me through the window. The scary part was, the next night there was a knock at the door at about 11:00 PM and I didn't answer because my father told me not to. He said it was late and it was probably no one we wanted to talk to. But I can't help but feel really uneasy about it even to this day, wondering if they had come back for me the next day.” MM

Nebraska Brothers Encounter BIGFOOT Along Medicine Creek

Two Nebraska brothers are hiking and camping along the Medicine Creek. During those few days, they encounter a massive Bigfoot on two separate occasions.

I received the following account:

"I grew up near Niobrara, Nebraska not far from the river. My brother and I were able to do a lot back then. We were outside year-round. We really enjoyed fishing in the river for catfish. It was the 1950s and things were different. No one cared much what you did, just so you didn't cause trouble.

We usually fished in the morning and evening during the summer. In June 1959 we planned to hike to an area on Medicine Creek and spend a few nights there. It was about 5 miles from home. The second night we were there, we heard strange screaming sounds coming from one of the bluffs west of us. It wasn't like anything else I've ever heard before. We also heard something heavy moving through the brush and trees. I'll admit we were scared. As the night went on, things quieted down.

The next morning I walked towards the bluff while gathering firewood. As I approached a rocky pass I caught a glimpse of something big and hairy running away from me. It wasn't a bear and stood at least 7 feet high. It was huge with a wide back. That was enough for me. I was ready to move camp someplace else.

My brother and I packed up and started back toward the old trail. I guess we had walked about a mile, then stopped to fish at a good spot we knew. We spent most of the day there. Late afternoon we decided to hike back home. I wasn't feeling well anyway.

The area was much different than today. It's part of a state park with lots of roads and camp areas today. Back then it was much more rugged.

It was about 6 pm and we were close to the footbridge at the river. My brother suddenly stopped walking and pointed at a clearing at the river bank. He said someone was over there. We stood there for a minute, and then this huge hairy creature stood straight up and looked right at us. It let out a loud grunt, swinging its arm up over its head. We started running. I don't think we stopped until we got near the roadway at the end of the trail.

Over the years, we talked about our run-in with the creature and we're both sure it was a Bigfoot. I only told a friend about it a few years later, but he thought I was lying to him. We've been back to the same area many times since then and never noticed anything. I contacted the BFRO in the 1990s but they never came out to take a statement.

NOTE: I called Gary, who was 70, and we discussed the two encounters. I think it may have been the same Bigfoot trailing the brothers. There were no other details available from Gary, who had never heard of another sighting in that part of Nebraska. I checked the database, and there isn't much to refer to, other than a sighting in Knox County near Santee in 1979. That was classified as a BFRO Class 'A' report. I forwarded an inquiry to Nebraska Game and Parks about the area of the sighting. BTW, there have been documented Mountain Lion encounters throughout northern Nebraska. Lon

2 METRE LONG 'HUMAN SLUG' Crawls Out of Ontario Bog

An Ontario university student was in the vicinity of a bog at night when he observed a giant slug/leech-looking creature crawling out of the muck. He quickly exits the area.

I received the following account:

"I lived in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada which has many of these little swamps/bogs in certain parts outside of town. Usually, not a lot goes on in these bogs as you can't really build in them and there's not a lot that lives in them except for maybe some frogs and muskrat. Anyway, one Friday night about 7 years ago I decided to take a break from my university studies and go for some drinks at the local bar with some of the boys. It was a really good night with lots of drinking to be had and around a bit after 3 in the morning I decided to start walking home as I only live about 15 min away. I was about halfway home when I noticed something unusual at one of these bogs.

From what I could see it seemed there was some kind of light coming from the water. At first, I simply told myself it was probably just my drunk mind playing tricks on me but alas curiosity, with the help of some liquid courage, got the best of me and I decided to approach the light. It is what I saw then that I still to this day can not make sense of.

What appeared to be a giant slug/leech-looking creature started to crawl out of the bog with what seemed like two very muscular front arms. As it crawled out further I got a better glimpse of its body, approximately 2 metres long. I did not seem to have any hind legs just its front arms but did seem to have a slimy underside as it moved quite fast and left behind a somewhat noticeable slime layer. The bio-luminescence was coming from a massive bulge located on his forehead and extended down his spinal column. I was completely stunned by what I was seeing and could not move as my body went completely numb.

At first, the creature clearly did not notice me as he was headed in a direction perpendicular to mine. I assume that because he did not initially see me the creature may not have great eyesight or any eyes at all. It must also had a poor sense of smell as it was not drawn to me. It was only when I let out a foolish and loud "WTF is this thing" did the abomination stopped dead in its tracks and turned its hideous head at me. It was at this point I could clearly see its 2 large black eyes open up from its eyelids and stare directly at me. As soon as it saw me its bio-luminescence went out and I was left blinded in the pitch black.

I heard a horrific screech almost like a bird scraw but much lower and sounding like it came from deep in the gut. I could hear the creature start to charge at me as I could hear its large body cut through that tall bog grass. My fight-or-flight instincts kicked in and you can be damn sure I chose flight. I picked out the nearest street lamp and ran as fast as I could through the grass till I got to it. When I got back to the street I was surprised to see no sign of the creature behind me.

I'm unsure if it wanted to harm me or just scare me out of its bog as I had seen it moving at an alarming rate as it initially left the bog water. Surely it could have caught a drunk, staggering 22-year-old man? I went home after that and vowed never to go back to the bog. After I finished my degree I moved to Toronto and haven't been back since, I still can't come to terms with what I saw that night and I'm not sure I want to. I'm posting now to get this off my chest and see if anyone has had a similar experience or if they can make sense of this." K

PALE/GREYISH CRAWLER HUMANOID Encountered in Finland Woods (SKETCH)

A Finnish youth walks to a nearby woods to smoke a cigarette when they encounter a bizarrely shaped human-like quadruped that slowly exits the woods and crosses the road.

I received the following account:

"This happened when I lived in a children's home in a more remote part of the town in Finland. It was at the start of winter, around the end of December 2017. The house is located in the woods but has many houses close to each other. I had to walk to a side road in the woods to smoke my cigarette since it wasn't allowed to smoke on the property. It was already dark, but the road was dimly lit by the lights of one of the houses. This is the part I always felt uneasy walking. I was almost back at the house when I started feeling really uneasy again, but this time it was intense, I felt something watching me.

I heard a branch break and some leaves crunching and saw this bizarre-looking 'thing' walking from the woods, over the road, and back to the woods on the other side. It was pale/greyish, on all fours, but the legs were weird, like humanoid but at the same time the knees bent like a dog. The front legs were mostly the same but not so bent. The body was slim and the back was kinda arched, like upwards? The head/face is so hard to describe, it was kinda of humanoid too, but had no human features or ears. I focused mainly on the legs because they looked so wrong.

It didn't make any sounds or didn't smell like anything. I was close enough to see details but not close enough to smell if it smelled like anything closer. I stood there, my heart was pounding and I wanted to scream and run home but I couldn't because the thing was on the way. It was slow too, like the average human speed when walking.

After it was gone I ran back home and told a friend who told me he always felt uneasy there. What could it be? I really want some answers. I tried to draw it, the legs were slimmer." DK

NOTE: Most likely, this quadruped human-like creature was a pale crawler. I have had a few reports from Scandinavia in the past, but it is rare. Lon

Texas Brothers ABDUCTED & PROBED by Tall Humanoids After Gold-Colored Craft Lands

A Texas boy and his older brother observed a gold-colored light descending towards them. The craft soon landed. Later a tall humanoid exited the craft and abducted the boys.

I received the following account:

"My older brother and I were walking down the street, returning home from our grandmother's house in the dark. This was in LaPort, Texas. There was a large, grassy lot next to our house where our uncle lived in a mobile home at the back. It was a clear night and my brother was teaching me some of the constellations as we walked.

We saw a gold-colored light come from the south and hover over us. I thought it was an airplane at first but as it got closer, I realized it wasn't making any noise. I remember being afraid but my brother was excited. He said, "Oh, wow, they ARE real!" I grabbed his arm and tried to pull him to the house, panicking. He laughed and told me to calm down, that they wouldn't hurt us. He was my older brother so I trusted him to protect me. I stood behind him as the light came to the ground and landed in front of my uncle's house.

It was a large black pyramid shape that was missing the top point. It had a couple of windows on the side, about halfway up. After it stopped moving, a slot opened up on the side facing us. The light that was under the craft was a greenish blue and it hovered off the ground a foot or two as the slot opened and a being came out. I guess unfolded out would be more accurate. The being looked almost human with a large, odd-shaped head, almond eyes the color of absolute darkness, and a small slit below where the nose slits were. It was very tall compared to my brother. He was about 14 years old so probably 5 and a half feet. The being was maybe six or seven feet.

When it exited the craft, I heard a noise, like a soft murmuring of a bunch of voices. I was immediately soothed. I felt sleepy suddenly but then the entity took my hand and my brother's hand. I don't remember it walking to us but I remember how cold its hand was and how rubbery it felt. I felt like I was floating and it was taking us to its ship. We went inside and the slot closed behind us.

Inside, it took us to a room where my brother was taken by another being and I was led to a table. I screamed for my brother but the being picked me up and sat me on the table, placed his fingers on my eyes and I couldn't move or talk anymore. I was laid on the table and my clothes were taken off.

I remember there being a soft pink light and three beings in the room with me. There was a straw-like tool hanging above me that one being put against my belly button. I remember searing pain below my belly button and smelling hot metal, like copper. I tried to scream, but then the pain was gone.

I looked toward one of the beings and saw my brother on the table near mine. He was looking at me with tears in his eyes. I could hear his voice but his lips weren't moving. He told me he was sorry, he was wrong, and that he loved me. I felt warm whereas before I was so cold. The beings stopped moving as my brother and I talked without moving our lips. I would think about him and then hear his voice responding to me. We'd never been able to do that before!

After a few minutes, my brother looked away from me and I felt him slip away, mentally, and then he screamed like he was being murdered. I thought they were killing him but I couldn't see anything because one of the beings moved between us and started looking in my ears with a bright light.

I remember the grey color of those three-fingered hands, the way they seemed to me to be rubber straws, the tips against my skin feeling terribly similar to a frog's flesh. They pried open my eyes when I tried to scrunch them shut and put a jelly substance in them. Then they stuck something up in my nose that hurt so bad I passed out.

When I woke up, the ship was gone. My brother was lying in the ditch a few feet from me and I thought he was dead. I heard my mother calling for me and my brother so I sat up and called back to her. She ran to me from our yard to where my brother was lying and when she saw him, she screamed. She picked him up and grabbed my hand, carrying him into the house. She asked me what happened as she laid him on the couch but as I started to answer, my nose started bleeding.

My brother came to as my mother wiped a cold rag over his face and I got a washcloth for my nose. She kept asking why we were out till three in the morning. My brother told her about the craft and I did too but she said she thought we were trying to make stuff up. She said it was obvious someone had beaten us up. We saw how bad our story upset her so we agreed, it was the local bully that beat us both up.

After my mother went to bed when she thought we were asleep, my brother came into my room and we talked about it, agreeing to not talk about it again.

The next day, he and I went to my uncle's yard. We looked for signs that something had been there and we saw a square portion of the grass had been pressed down like a heavy weight had been on top of it.

It's been 38 years now and only recently have my brother and I spoken of the incident. I still remember it like it was yesterday and so does he." C

NOTE: I plan to talk to the experiencer soon. I would like to be able to investigate the encounter and abduction at some point if I'm given permission. I was told that a report was filed with the MUFON CMS several years ago but the experiencer and his brother were never contacted. Lon

Breaking Sticks: On the Trail of the GIANT SLOTH

The following submission was in response to my post 'Wood Devils' in New Hampshire: The Stick Breakers. Does the Giant Sloth still exist?

"Before you read this, understand that the witnesses have not seen the creature at all and all we have is the collected auditory evidence. However, considering that a skilled bird song identifier can distinguish several hundred separate species correctly, I will run with that sooner than a distant glimpse.

First, though, let us consider breaking sticks. It is unusual to break sticks lying on the ground if you are a slightly experienced woodsman and have any vision whatsoever. It is still difficult to move soundlessly but actually not that difficult. You merely roll your feet as you settle in. When you do this, you also sense larger sticks and adjust accordingly. Thus the only way larger sticks could get broken by something on the ground would be deliberately by a hoaxer. That then begs the question of the flood lights. I think we can throw that option away pretty easily but keep it out there just in case.

Let us get to the real cause of breaking sticks. A large creature climbing inside a tree canopy must break branches and cause broken branches to fall to the ground as reported here. We are now looking for a two hundred to three hundred pound creature that also exhibits four point gripping capabilities. This of course again describes the giant sloth.

Past posts have located unrecognized sightings in the Southern Appalachians and the Western USA. This locates a sighting in the North East. In general the sightings have been rare, but this is largely because at even a short distance the creature will be mistaken for a bear and has much better ability to evade dogs than a bear. It can go up a tree, but then traverse to other trees losing the dogs.

Four point gripping is very important as demonstrated by the South American sloth. Most important it allows the creature to firmly grip and test a potentially weak branch while secure with a three point grip from the tree it is in. It then can apply weight and grip an additional support branch before removing itself from the other tree. This is obviously something we can not do safely ourselves at all so arboreal hoaxing is ruled out.

What we have discovered is a clear trapping strategy available to us for this creature. When such a creature shows up and the breaking branches are heard, one goes out and stands directly under each and every tree and shine a flood light up into the tree from beside the trunk. Sooner or later the creature will be revealed.

The creature is certainly stealthy and is able to move about the trees without unnecessarily shaking boughs. This merely means the creature is watching us and moving accordingly. It’s problem is that it is impossible to do all this without breaking out dead wood in particular. Try it is broad daylight in a tree running wild. Then try getting out on a limb without breaking free encumbering branches. You will soon get my point.

The good news is that we have identified a couple of troops of noisy giant sloths.

For the record, sloths are mostly herbivores that in this case eat leaves and I suspect young pine needles if they are operating in New Hampshire. They also eat beetles and grubs as well and likely much more than is noted. Like bears, their claws would make quick work of a rotted out log. Thus we have a happy cow that lives well above any carnivores able to make a meal of it. For that reason there may be a lot more of them than has ever been suspected as they apparently nocturnal also.

Again understand that this creature will look like a bear at any distance. Even up close and personal you are likely to be badly fooled, particularly if it is in the habit of imitating a bear in a confrontation.
