TALL, SHADOWY FIGURE Stalking & Watching in Queensland, Australia

An Australian teen and her boyfriend were out in his yard late at night when they noticed a tall, dark figure observing them from a nearby tree. What was it?

I received the following account:

"Okay, so this is my story. I was 15, was at my boyfriend's house and it was about 10:30pm. We were sitting on his trampoline, in his backyard which faces a small park behind his house. His yard is on a ground level about a meter (3ish feet) above the ground level the park is on, and his fence is on that lower level, so by sitting on the trampoline we could see out into the darkness of the park, which was just slightly illuminated by his yard lights. We're talking when suddenly I feel an eerie chill like we're being watched. Like something wants us to know we're being watched. I remember glancing all over the place and jumping at the smallest sounds of the night, my boyfriend laughing at me, and all before he suddenly stilled and rose up onto his knees to look at something in the park.

"A man is watching us from that tree." Jesus those words still chill me to the core. I froze and asked him to tell me what he was doing. He told me that the man was very tall, almost halfway up the tree which was a large Eucalyptus (we live in Queensland, Australia), and that only his head and shoulder were really visible and that his eyes were glowing, or reflecting the light from his yard lights. I wondered if he was lying and making fun of me again for being paranoid earlier, so I sat up and leaned over him to see the thing next to the tree. There it was.

It was tall, darker than the shadows of the trees, and wasn't lit up like the trees were from the lights. Its eyes were shining brightly, and it was exceptionally tall. Couldn't be a man, if not for the shoulder and arm draped over the tree and so was not an animal either. I fell back onto the trampoline and my boyfriend told me to be quiet and to start moving back towards the house; it was moving towards us. I shook my head. I did not want to move. I couldn't bring myself to move. I was frozen in fear. I don't know, but I remember he had to force me up, swearing loudly and telling me it was nearly at the fence. I got up and caught a glance of a figure nearly across the short distance from the trees to his yard and booked it to the stairs up to his front door. I glanced back to look again and BF yelled not to, that it was climbing over the fence and I somehow moved even faster and made it to the door without tripping up the stairs and breaking a leg. He told me again, it had been trying to climb over the fence when I slowed down to take a look.

His family is very religious and his father swears it was a demon trying to test their faith or some bullsh*t, but I don't think it was. Had another encounter maybe a month later when my boyfriend told me a figure was watching me from the exposed ceiling beams of my old barn-like house during a Facetime call late at night. Maybe a shadow man? Maybe an Australian 'version' of a skinwalker? I am 19 now, and I still can't stop thinking about what happened. If anyone knows what this sort of aggressive, stalker behavior means and what creature this was please let me know. It was definitely not just some creepy man. This shadowy thing was at least 3 meters tall (9ish feet) and had bright glowing white eyes." SH

JEEPERS! DO HORROR FILM 'CREEPERS' EXIST? Please Join Us For LIVE Chat Q & A - Lon Strickler (Host)

I have investigated winged humanoid sightings since 1981 when I first included cryptid creatures as a part of my paranormal research. In 1988, I had a personal unexplained encounter with a winged humanoid in south-central Pennsylvania.
Since the beginning of the millennium, a specific term has surfaced as part of the description of several of the sightings; ‘Jeepers Creepers.’ If you are familiar with modern horror films, then you’ll have an idea of what I’m talking about. In 2001, an American-German horror film, that took its name from the 1938 song ‘Jeepers Creepers,’ was released. It was a tale about two older siblings who become the targets of a demonic creature, known as the ‘Creeper,’ in rural Florida.
The fact that several witnesses have compared the winged being that they encountered as resembling the Creeper is interesting. I suppose it is a cultural phenomenon; basically, because there are few other creatures, natural or fictional, to compare to. A few of the Chicago Mothman witnesses mentioned the Creeper character when giving a general description, though the eventual comparison came down to the bat-like wing structure and the ability to instantly launch itself into flight.
During the same period that we were receiving reports in the Chicago area, we were also receiving accounts of similar winged beings in other locations throughout the United States and Canada. Most of the sightings were very brief and without much detail, but a few specific reports compounded our curiosity.

Researcher Believes BIGFOOT is Responsible For Some MISSING 411 DISAPPEARANCES

Randy Savig of Mid-America Bigfoot Research Center spoke about why he believes that some of the missing people in David Paulides' Missing 411 books might be because of Bigfoot.

“Over the past few years, I've been reading a lot of David Paulides' Missing 411 books. I really enjoyed them. I enjoyed them immensely and I look back on them, and I’ll go through them again. I would encourage everyone to read those books. I certainly don't want to put money in his pocket but I'm telling you, something happened to me two years ago while talking with a lady that completely solidified in my mind that some of these creatures are responsible for some of those missing in those 411 books. I have no doubt. Really, it's because of what my friend said.

I had a friend get to contact me on Facebook. I knew him back when I was 16 and going to church together. His mom's name was Christine. So all these years passed. I was living up in Nebraska. He became my friend on Facebook and he saw all my Bigfoot stuff. He said, "Randy, I did not know that you know all about Bigfoot. You need to talk to my mom." I said," What, your mom Christine?" He said, "Yes." I used to spend the night with them. His mom was a blonde-haired lady. I said, "What?" He said, "She has claimed for years that she has seen one in the late 60s up by Challis, Idaho", and he said, "The whole family was telling her she's crazy and all that stuff." He said, "I remember." He was about 3 at the time. He just remembers his mom running by him and his dad and running by the cabin screaming.

So I get her on the phone and talk to her. I told her, "Listen, Christine, I've had all these terrible things happen, I've seen these creatures, I know they're out there. Brian said you had something happen. Could you please tell me what happened?" She said that they were on some of her family's land up in Challis, Idaho where they had a cabin and she said Brian and her husband Garland were fishing in a stream or a river and, you know, it was a shallow rock bottom river and she was sitting with her back to the woods up a hill, with her back to the woods. They were moving downstream fishing. Brian was like 3 years old and she said, "They're talking and fishing," and she was talking with them, yelling at them and stuff. She said she just heard a slight movement. She said, "I heard a slight shuffle to my left," and she said, "I looked over my shoulder and right there!" She said, "This thing was 2 feet from me, was this Gorilla-Man looking at her," and she said, "It blinked and I immediately started running. I took off screaming and I ran down." She said, "I ran by Garland and Brian. I was so terrified, I couldn't even tell them." She said, "I left them there to die. I had to get to the cabin for safety. I’m in the cabin screaming when Garland shows up and he is like, What is happening?" He just thought she saw a bear or something. She told him, No! The face of this thing was something between a gorilla and a man and it was looking at her. It had snuck right up on her.

This has never been told to anybody because of the way I got in contact with her, this information. I said to myself, why does a Bigfoot need to get that close to a blonde-haired lady who was sitting with her back to a tree? Why couldn’t he not see her from 50 feet away or 100 feet away? Why did he need to get right up next to her? I have a feeling she was one step away from being a Missing 411 story.”

MIB Observed Standing Alone, Staring Into the Distance, on Rural Arkansas Highway

A truck driver on a rural Arkansas highway late at night observed a man dressed in a black suit standing in the middle of the road staring into the distance. The driver freaked out and kept driving.

I received the following weird account:

“I had something happen to me when I was an over-the-road truck driver in very rural Arkansas. I was a trainer and at about 2 o'clock in the morning, my student woke up, came through the curtain, and sat in the other seat. I said, What are you doing up? And he said, "Just all of a sudden I just couldn't sleep." Right about then I looked up, and it was very rural and there were no cars parked along the road, no houses, just forest. And somebody's standing on the white line on the freeway, you know, on the side of the road. I clicked the cruise control off and I slowed down. I started to move over into the left lane and there was a guy in a black suit and a black Fedora hat. He was just standing there, still looking out onto the freeway. It was really strange and I have tried over the years to rationalize what that was and I haven't been able to. There was just nothing around out there. Nothing.

The really strange part was, I was kinda freaked out and kinda scared about it but my student, he was like, Maybe we should stop and see if he's okay. I said I'm not stopping. He was really insistent that we stop and I finally said, when we get about two miles down the road, I'll pull over, I'll wait about an hour. If you're not back, I'm leaving. He kinda hushed up then. He had this crazy sense that he needed to go to this person. I felt the opposite, that I needed to get the hell out of there.

It was strange. I haven't told too many people but, yeah, really odd. He was looking straight off into the freeway and he didn't really move and the only way I can describe it, how he looked, was kind of like Agent Smith of The Matrix, you know in the suit, like that, but he was also wearing the old-style Fedora hat. MIB? I thought maybe he was drunk at a wedding party and lost, but there was nothing out there. There was no reason for anybody to be standing out there, especially in a suit.” S

Modoc National Forest Firefighting Crew Finds MASSIVE BIGFOOT TRACK

A member of the Modoc National Forest firefighter service recalls his crew finding a large Bigfoot print, and contacting their supervisor who attempted to cast the print.

“In 1982, I was a seasonal firefighter from the Modoc National Forest. It's extreme in northeastern California. Rather remote, kind of near the Oregon border, up near Klamath Falls Lava Beds National Monument. Anyway, small four-man fire crew and the boss. He lived in a little trailer adjacent to our old cabin, right on Medicine Lake. There had been this Native American fella that had been hanging around for weeks, experienced with firefighting and whatnot. He kept thinking he could get on the crew, but the protocol was such that you had to do it all in advance. And we had our little crew. All four of us and there was no chance he could be on it but he kind of, wouldn't take no for an answer. This was the US Forest Service Department of Agriculture Forest Service. Small fire crew. So we're all familiar with this fella. Can't remember his name anymore and, you know, we're up early in the morning doing the...they call them the PTs - physical exercise and all.

Getting ready for the day and he's up with us, again, trying to join us. And he goes, 'Hey look what I found here.' And he takes us out to the edge of Medicine Lake and there's this huge footprint but just one. It must be 18 to 20 inches long, 6 inches wide and it's like, 'Okay' and then we're all, 'Where's the next one?' But, yeah, the next one was down on the swampy edge of the lake.

So that kind of made sense, you know, that there was only one, odd as that was. And the boss there, the crew boss. He says, 'Boy, this is strange fellas, just last night.' Sometimes he'd have his little four-year-old up there, spending the night in this trailer. He goes, 'My son woke me up in the middle of the night saying, Daddy! Daddy! Bigfoot's out there!' He just brushed it off until a couple hours later, there was a print and it caused enough interest - everyone who was pretty skeptical I think.

It caused enough interest, we called the Big Cheese, the District Ranger, they call him...an hour and a half away at Tule Lake. He comes up. An hour and a half up, four-wheel drive, pretty rough roads, you know, one way up, like that. He comes up and he's quite interested. He's trying to take a print of it, a plaster cast. I'm watching him do this and when I was a kid growing up, I did this stuff all the time. I'm watching. I'm thinking like that's not gonna work because it was too watered down. But I was, like, almost a kid, I was in my young 20s, one my first big jobs of that nature which I continued doing, you know, most of my working life. I was like, I was too intimidated to say to the big boss man, you know, the District Ranger, 'Hey, you're screwing it up, pal.' Put more plaster there, whatever it is, which is exactly the case. He failed to get a copy.” S

BLACK HOVERING OBJECTS Reported Over Chicago, Illinois

In 2018, I was made aware of two strange and somewhat similar daylight accounts from Chicago. One was from a podcast and the other was from a witness who contacted me.

Alex called into the Monsters Among Us Podcast to talk about a sighting he had on March 19, 2018:

“The Monday before last, which I believe was the 19th of March, I was driving from the Noble Square area of Chicago, somewhat on the north side to the southwest side of the city to stop by my parent's house. This was around noon and as I was getting onto I-94, the Expressway at the Milwaukee on-ramp. I was cut off by a firetruck and ambulance as they were going to tend to an accident. And, as such, I ended up sitting in accident traffic where I literally just put the car in park and just sat. And as I sat there, all of a sudden, there was this black, somewhat triangular, as if it was a low pyramid, a low wide pyramid, started hovering from the left of my view, which was near the skyline was over the expressway and eventually out of sight to the right. But it went back and forth quite a few times.

I originally assumed it was a kite or a balloon. The kite part though just doesn't work because there's nowhere for someone to stand and control it. Perhaps it was a kite that got away but it was moving in a controlled fashion. It was completely black. I thought I noticed a glint of light off of it a couple of times like it was something metallic reflecting which made me think it was Mylar. If it was just a Mylar balloon but again it was moving in such a controlled way, it really kinda started tripping me out. Of course, you can't really gauge size in situations like that. We know that. But it seemed huge especially compared to some of the lake gulls or birds that were flying somewhat in the same vicinity. What really tripped me out though in the end, and this was a good 30 seconds of staring at this...maybe a little less than that, was when I realized it was hovering right over this car accident. And with everything you hear about the Silver Bridge collapse and all the stuff in Point Pleasant, it made the hair on my arms stand up.

I'll be very honest. I don't know that anything was truly Mothman-ish but I wonder if it wasn't a drone of some sort and if had more to do with the person or persons who have been hoaxing this. I have no idea. I have absolutely no idea what it actually was but it certainly did trip me out. To a degree, I consider myself a very rational person. A thoughtful person. And, again, very skeptical, so I have trouble accepting that it was a flying humanoid cryptid hovering over an accident scene but I don't know what to make of it, you know. I'm hoping that maybe somebody else has seen this. That somebody else has a conclusive explanation. Again this was Monday before last. So it believe that was the 19th of March right after St. Patrick's Day, a couple of days after. It was right around probably 12:30 PM, afternoon. It was pretty sunny out, a little windy which is probably an important fact to note but, again, very black with possibly a glint of light that was reflecting off of it as if there was something metallic or shiny on it. When it caught the sun it seemed to glint, at least twice that I noticed. And again, it was kind of a low wide pyramid shape. I would hazard to guess that it was a balloon but who knows?”

NOTE: Alex is obviously a skeptic, especially of the winged humanoid sightings in the Chicago area. He seems to be trying to figure out a rational explanation for what he witnessed. Sometimes it simply requires an open mind and the belief that your eyes are not deceiving you. Lon

The following was forwarded to me on Sunday, April 1st. (Not an April Fool's joke):

April 1, 2018
S. Prairie & 74th Street
2:17pm CST

"I was in a Lyft Line car this afternoon in South Chicago with 2 other passengers. The girl seating in the front points to something in the sky: "What is this?" I move forward and look, I see something black in the sky, not a bird, not a plane. It's black, a shape with angles, and it is moving in a weird manner, almost blinking up and down, not moving any distances. It's just gliding in the same space and then like blinking/moving up & down. The girls are startled, me too. I've never seen something like this before. The driver suggested it's a black plastic bag. "That big, that high?" said the girl, "and moving like this? Nah!"

Coming back home, I checked online if anybody saw something weird in the sky as I did today. And I found many articles about the infamous Chicago Mothman.

I shivered a bit after reading this and stepped on the deck of my building just to check the sky status. I am French, I just moved recently to Chicago 4 months ago, and I NEVER heard such story of Mothman until I started my research online. I am sharing this with you so my observation could eventually help you in your own investigation about this recurrent event.

NOTE: I contacted HF and asked if there was anything else about the sighting that she could recall. She was just surprised by her sighting and had no knowledge of the winged humanoid sightings in the Chicago area since she had just moved from France 4 months ago. Lon

Curious Bright Glowing Light in Home Results in LOST TIME INCIDENT

A Chaffee, Missouri man gets out of bed to investigate a bright light in the hallway. After what should have been a brief absence of a few minutes, it resulted in 45 minutes of lost time.

I received the following account:

"Hi, Lon. I figured I would submit my weird experience that I had several years ago. My wife, kids, and I were living in government housing and had just moved into a larger apartment across the road from where we were living. We upgraded from a 2 to 3 bedroom apartment. I would like to note that the housing where I am from is actually really nicely kept up and is more of an older folks community rather than a slum that housing is notorious for. We loved living there. This was in Chaffee, Missouri which is in Southeast Missouri in northern Scott County.

We moved in the week of Christmas 2020 or 2021, I can't remember exactly because those years get me confused because we had so much going on and we only lived there about 18 months before getting a house.

So one night the kids were asleep and me and the wife were in bed. She was asleep and I was playing on my phone. The bed was situated so that I could see into the hall from the bed, the end of the bed was across from the door. Note this was around 1:30 AM.

As I played on my phone I started to see a bright glowing light coming from down the hall, I told my wife I was going to check it out as I thought maybe it was my computer that was in the living room. I got up, went down the hall, looked around, and didn't notice anything out of the ordinary. I went to the bathroom and then got back in bed. In total, this took maybe 2 minutes. The apartment was small, and you could see everything in just a minute or so.

When I got back in bed I got back on my phone, and that's when I noticed the time. It was 2:15 AM. I had been gone for 45 minutes. My wife was fast asleep and snoring, I woke her up and asked her how long I had been gone, she didn't know and was still half asleep.

Looking back at this situation I still can not explain how I was gone for such a long time without, as I remember the event clearly and there were no gaps from the time I got up, looked around, went to the bathroom, and got back in bed.

Did BLACK-EYED, DARK-CLOTHED BEINGS Encounter Result in PREGNANCY?

Two dark-clothed 'people' knock at a couple's apartment door. The taller person had black eyes. The woman later finds out that she is pregnant, though she was told previously that she could not conceive.

I received the following account:

"Hi - 9 years ago, I had an unusual experience, which I cannot say was either 'this or that.' My husband and I lived in an apartment at the time. I was asleep in the bedroom and he was out in the living room, most likely sleeping on the sofa. I was startled awake by a thunderous knocking at the front door. I was upset because it was about 2 am, and thinking it may have been one of my husband's buddies. I heard my husband get up and answer the door. As he did, something very weird occurred. I felt like I was in a 'waking dream' - losing all consciousness of the time and my surroundings. It's difficult to describe, other than I felt like I was in a bubble but still able to move about.

When I left the bedroom, I couldn't locate my husband, but two other people were standing in the living room by the sliding window. One was very tall and lanky, wearing a dark hooded cape. The other was short like the size of a 5-year-old, dressed in a black one-piece suit that covered its head. And yet, I had an unmistakable sense that the smaller one was the 'person in charge' of the duo and the situation. I was scared since I thought these two were up to 'no good' and I couldn't understand why my husband had let them in - at the same time wondering where he was. I stood still, staring at them, and trying to get a better look at their faces. The short one was turned away and it never showed its face. But the tall one raised its head and stared right back at me. It looked like a young man with sallow skin - but his eyes were solid black! I remember his face was human-like, but that something was just not right. I know there was more, but I simply need to remember further details.

The only thing that I recall is waking up late the next morning, walking out into the kitchen, and asking my husband if anyone knocked on the door last night. He said, "Yeah, someone knocked, but when I opened the door, no one was there!" He said he looked outside and into the parking lot. He couldn't figure out, how someone could knock and get away so quickly without being seen or heard. He was sure it wasn't a neighbor. He said he had a sick feeling after it happened. I didn't tell him what had happened to me - though we have discussed it since then.

About 2 months later, I discovered that I was pregnant. But that was impossible because I was told before we got married that I could not conceive a child. The doctor looked at my tests and scans from a previous examination and determined that my eggs were not viable, but he again confirmed that I was pregnant. Calculation of the time when I conceived fell within the period in which we had the strange experience with the 2 unknown beings.

The pregnancy went well and I gave birth to a healthy baby girl. But I have wondered if the encounter had something to do with me being able to conceive a child. Am I being paranoid?" Jaye

RED, TOOTHY HUMANOID That Suddenly Appears in Bedroom

The witness saw a figure squatting by the bedroom doorway, a humanoid figure. It had red leathery skin, a toothy grin, no eyes, and other bizarre characteristics.
I received the following account:
"This is my story. This is in full detail and as much info as I can give. I hope you enjoy it and I hope there are answers. It was election night 2016, and I was lying in bed, and about to sleep. I was praying as I usually do every night (before I lost faith) and I was lying on my side, facing the wall. I finished praying and I began to slowly sing under my breath to myself as I occasionally did while going to sleep. While I was singing, I got a feeling like I was being watched, and I heard something from behind me. I turned over to see what it was.
When I turned over, I saw something that I just couldn't believe, and I sat up quickly to stay aware. I saw in the middle of my room, squatting by my doorway, a humanoid figure. It had red leathery skin, It was male as it was shirtless and had no breasts, and it had no eyes where it should've had eyes. It had these raised ridges of skin vertically up and down its upper face where its eyes should be. It had no ears, instead, it had holes like snake ears in the side of its head, and they had these curves like normal ears, but instead, it was inverted inside of the head and not out of the head. It had these large hands with black nails like a dog would have, it had huge feet with 4 toes on each, again with large black nails. It also had no genitals, and instead a scar where the male genitalia should've been, like it had been removed somehow.
I was panicking and I pinched myself to make sure I was asleep, and to no avail, I didn't wake up. I was looking at the creature, and I noticed it was 'looking' vacantly in front of it, and then it turned and 'looked' at me, and it tilted its head like a dog, and it smiled. I'll also add it did not have lips, so it had a Joker-like smile, with these odd, inhuman-like teeth. It then did something that I still don't understand, it went invisible, as in, it turned invisible but I could still see the 'distortion' where it was, like the invisibility effect like in Halo or Fallout (video games). I could see this distortion slowly begin to move towards me, and I saw the carpeting in the room shift as it walked on top of it (keep this in memory). It got close to the bed and I started to sweat with fear and clutched my blanket with a strong grip. My bed all of a sudden, shifted as if something had sat on top of it, and the blankets started to be pulled by an invisible force. At this point, I began yelling and kicking the air, and it vanished, and I never saw it since.
I left the room afterward to do something else because at that point I didn't feel like sleeping. I considered the possibilities of what it could've been because I am naturally a skeptic and I always look into everything that happens so I can disprove/prove the existence of something:
1: I was fully awake and I could move, so it wasn't sleep paralysis.
2: I locked my doors and windows as anyone does in their own home, so it couldn't have been a human entering with a strange costume (unless a door was opened, etc).
3: This was a long time ago, and I think about this moment every day, and I always recall the same details, etc, I even wrote this down a year after it happened, so if it was a dream, it would've become vaguer and harder to remember as time went on.
4: The blankets were still where it was when the creature moved them.
5: The carpet still had footprints and imprints from where it "invisibly" moved toward me. I know this sounds batsh*t crazy but this was my experience, and I still wonder what it could've been, I've researched slightly and I've only told a few about it, so I don't know what it could've been. HUGE WINGED CRYPTID Reported in Rural Quebec, Canada

I received the following report and subsequent follow-up. Other colleagues and I have been tracking flying cryptid & humanoid encounters in Quebec, Ontario & northern New York state for quite a while. The eyewitnesses have described huge winged beings, as evident in the Ottawa Angel Incident and Niagara Mothman accounts:

"I was visiting rural Quebec (St. Edgar, New Richmond) over the holidays in December 2017. My boyfriend’s mom and grandmother live there along with most of that side of his family, since his parents are long divorced. There was a lot of snow on the ground and more coming down every day and night, but on this night, there was very little snow coming down and it was easier to see at night. My boyfriend and I had taken his grandmother’s car out to go drifting down a long road surrounded by forest - it’s the same road everyone who is local to the area uses for racing. There’s so little to do in this tiny town that people will actually get drunk and go racing down this winding road for fun, and friends and family will come to watch and cheer them on. There are a lot of car accidents in this area and this area is also overflowing with wildlife. Deer, bear, moose, coyotes, wolves, rabbits, skunks, etc. It’s a fantastic area for hunting (when legal).

So picture this: my boyfriend is driving us to his mother’s house and we’ve been drifting on purpose and laughing and obviously scared of what we were doing but having a great time. We’re almost to the end of the road and because of the drifting, it’s taken longer than usual to get home. Something swoops through the trees to our right, just above where the headlights are lighting up so we can’t see all of it anymore. The thing is so large and heavy that the trees it touched are swaying all around.

It had huge black wings that acted as a sort of “blanket” that covered and blacked out an already dark sky, and its shape was indistinguishable beyond that. The only thing I could think to describe its size was a moose with wings...minus the 4 legs. Definitely not a moose! That’s just to explain the size of the thing.

My boyfriend almost swerved into the trees. He and I were really startled and panicked the whole rest of the drive home, and instead of drifting, we just drove straight home. He refuses to believe it was anything supernatural and decided it must have been the world’s largest owl. I told him that if he ever finds an owl the size of a car he should rest assured it is NOT an owl.

I hadn’t thought about this until a couple of days ago when I was listening to a compilation of stories about skinwalkers, and it got me thinking if what my boyfriend and I saw was some sort of cryptid. The closest resembling cryptid is a mix of a mothman or Jersey Devil? I have no idea. Hopefully this is useful to you.

I contacted the witness and asked that she answer a few questions. I explained that there have been similar encounters in Quebec and Ontario in the past. I later received the following information:

"Hello!

Holy smokes, so there are other sightings in Quebec! So it was in New Richmond, specifically St. Edgar, and the road is called Chemin Mercier. It’s a very long road to take in the snow. Wingspan...15 or 20 feet? The wings did not look like skin, but rather dark and feathery. The body itself wasn’t very big compared to the wings. Maybe like a fat and very tall person? But I can’t tell you it looked like a person because it did not. It was also very dark outside so I don’t want to come up with a fake description. I wish I could tell you more. It was more vertically significant than wide, like tall instead of broad. Two legs, based on the height of the thing, and definitely not any more legs than that. I did not see arms or a face. I also did not see eyes.

We would have seen it some time between Dec 28-30 (I know this because the 27th was a relaxed day after arriving and the 31st we went skiing... and I ruined my ACL). I recently texted my boyfriend to confirm that it wasn’t just a dream or something and he promised he remembered it too, vividly. The description I gave you includes what he said he saw, too!

If I were to compare it to something, I would say the structure looked like a sinister version of the earth sprite from Fantasia 2000 in the Firebird. Obviously not as big as that, but the way the wings drooped and the breadth from wing to wing is comparable. Scale it down to 15 or 20 feet across and paint the whole thing pitch black - and you have something to compare it to in shape.

NOTE: the comparison to the Earth Sprites from Disney's 'Fantasia 2000' (accompanied by Igor Stravinsky's 'The Firebird' - one of my favorite ballets and orchestral concert works, BTW) is an interesting description. The sightings in the region have been of very large winged beings, somewhat larger than the winged humanoid descriptions from Chicago and Florida. Lon

Truck Driver Observes SKUNK APE 'VANISH' Near Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge, Georgia

A truck driver is near the Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge. He notices a bipedal creature walk out of the woods and toward the road. The size suggests it was a Skunk Ape.

I received the following account:

“Back in the day, when I was younger man, I was driving a truck down in Georgia and I picked up a load of mulch. I'm going down this two-lane road and I don't remember the exact area. I remember looking at my atlas as I was driving, it was above Jacksonville, Florida but on the Georgia side and there was some kind of a National Park there, with an Indian name (Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge). But as I was driving, I saw what looked like, what I thought was, a bear or something getting ready to cross the road. I'd never seen anything like that because I'm from Ohio. I'd been staring at the ditch line because I was looking at, like, a planted forest. I'd never seen, you know, planted forests before. It was all pine trees, symmetrically lined up and everything.

So I see this bear start to come out across the ditch and cross the road. So I started covering my brake. I'm like, 'Oh my god, I'm gonna hit a bear!' And it turned and looked at me. Its face was flat and it didn't have the big nose like like a bear does and I'm like, 'Whoa, what the heck is that?' It didn't look big and heavy like everybody describes it. It hunched over just like a Bigfoot but it looked smaller, like it had really long hair but not as bulky. The thing that ties into this dimensional thing for me is that I had this thought before I ever heard anybody talking about it. It looked at me in the truck and then it turned its head and like a streak of lightning, it went back into the woods from where it came. All the trunks on the trees, they didn't really have branches on the low levels, and so I'm looking at it, trying to look at it running through the woods, you know, to make sure I've seen what I saw and it just vanished. It just vanished! These trees weren't full-grown. They were maybe six to eight inches in trunk diameter and everything was in a perfect line. There's absolutely no way it could have hidden behind a tree. It just turns like a streak of lightning. I saw it running about ten feet and then it just vanished.

So I'm pulling over on the side, rubbing my eyes, like, I've been on the road too long. But then, all these years later, I keep hearing everybody talking about the dimensional thing and that it's perfect with, you know, never finding the body and all that kind of stuff.” A
