Love, money, ambition and music intertwine in Mozart in the Jungle, a half hour comedic drama that looks at finding yourself and finding love while conquering New York City. A brash new maestro Rodrigo (Gael Garcia Bernal) stirs up the New York Symphony as young oboist Hailey (Lola Kirke) hopes for her big chance.
Creadores: Alex Timbers, Roman Coppola, Jason Schwartzman |
Estrellas: Gael García Bernal, Lola Kirke, Saffron Burrows, Bernadette Peters, Malcolm McDowell…
#BookReview Short & Tall Tales in Goose Pimple Junction by Amy Metz (@authoramymetz) . A fun and delicious taster of the folks and tales of Goose Pimple Junction. And check out the rest of the Goose Pimple Junction series.
Hi all:
As you know because I keep repeating myself, I have a few books to read on my list and whilst I’ve been sharing my own writing I’ve accumulated a few reviews that I’m trying to catch up with. Today it’s my great pleasure to return to Amy Metz’s Goose Pimple Junction and share with your the fun and amusement of the latest book published in the series (although not the latest chronologically in the story). And, as I realised I hadn’t shared the review of the second book of the trilogy here, I decided to share all of them because we all need a laugh every so often and I’m sure if you missed the original posts you’ll want to know more (and also because as I took part in a blog tour for the first book, that post contains a fair amount of information in case you’re curious). But first things first. Here is my review of:

Short & Tall Tales in Goose Pimple Junction by Amy Metz
Short & Tall Tales in Goose Pimple Junction. A collection by Amy Metz
I was offered a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I’ve been following the series of Goose Pimple Junction Mysteries from the first book and have enjoyed them enormously. The quirky characters, the fantastic local atmosphere, the dialect and Southern sayings, the imaginative stories and the heart-warming relationships between the inhabitants are a breath of fresh air. After reading the stories one wants to live there, or at least to visit for a long vacation. And I challenge any readers to not end up quoting the sayings.
This small volume collects some short stories, vignettes that give readers more insight into certain characters and events (like how Jack and Tess got engaged) with a longer novella about the new sheriff and a missing elderly lady (Lou’s sister). There are further complications when somebody is impersonating one of the sheriff’s men, resulting in a less than warm welcome for the new man in the job. But with a bit of canine collaboration, everything ends up well.
The events taking place in this book fall between the two novels Murder & Mayhem and Heroes & Hooligans. It is filled with wisecracks and local expressions, and it’s a quick read that will leave you wanting more. I’m not sure it would be satisfying enough on its own right if you haven’t read the other books in the series, but it is a great addition to it. Ah, and don’t miss the delicious Apple Pie recipes at the end.
Just a couple of expressions I highlighted, to give you some idea:
‘Clive, if I was doing any better, I’d be twins.’
‘He’s so stupid, mind readers charge him half price.’
If you love good-humoured fun, a menagerie of odd but endearing characters, don’t hesitate and get the whole series.
If you fancy previewing it, you can do so here:
As I said, I don’t want you to miss on the rest of the series, so I’m sharing my previous posts about the two novels in the series. A must read.

Over one month on Amazon Best sellers lists
Murder & Mayhem In Goose Pimple Junction is a humorous southern mystery that will keep you laughing and guessing until the very end.
Tess Tremaine starts a new life in the colorful town of Goose Pimple Junction thinking she’s moved to a quiet little burg. Curiosity leads her to look into a seventy-five-year-old murder, and suddenly she’s learning the foreign language of southern speak, resisting her attraction to local celebrity Jackson Wright, and dealing with more mayhem than she can handle.
A bank robbery, murder, and family tragedy from the 1930s are pieces of the mystery, which Tess attempts to solve. As she gets close to the truth, she encounters danger, mystery, a lot of southern charm, and a new temptation for which she’s not sure she’s ready.

And now, my review:
Review of ‘Murder & Mayhem in Goose Pimple Junction’ by Amy Metz. Cosy mysteries, writers, plenty of humour and Southern flavour.
When I read the title and the description of Amy Metz’s ‘Murder & Mayhem in Goose Pimple Junction’ I knew I had to read it. And I’m sure if I’d gone by a place with a name such as Goose Pimple Junction I would have felt compelled to visit it. And the place and the book were worth the visit.
There are novels where you might enjoy the story and the plot (it might be a clever or complicated one, one that makes you think, takes you to fascinating places you’ve never been or teaches you new things), but maybe you don’t connect with any of the characters. There are books where you feel as if you knew the characters and they could be your best friends, but the story is neither here nor there (you just hope to visit them again when something more interesting is happening), there are books that are wonderful flights of fancy you might follow or not… There are books that seem to have a bit of all in the right amount, and you can’t think of anything else that could make them any better. And there are the books that seem to fit in perfectly with the type of reading you need right at that moment.
‘Murder & Mayhem’ was the type of book that fitted perfectly with what I wanted and needed at the time. Life was a bit too serious for me, and the novel gave me a good laugh. I kept looking forward to Pickles’s T-shirts, to the trips to the dinner to try and guess what the orders would sound like, and to the fantastic conversations, and pratfalls. It has mystery and an interesting story that kept my thoughts engaged (and took me away from some not so nice topics), but not so complicated that it made it impossible not to lose track. It also expands through several generations and follows the families and events that have made the place and the people what it is. It has a gentle love story where the protagonists are writers of a certain age and with backstories but both the salt of the earth (what woman would not love Jack, and Tess is also irresistible), it has unforgettable 4th of July celebrations, strange family liaisons, food, dogs…
Author Amy Metz manages to juggle all the balls and doesn’t let them drop. She keeps the pace of the story, turning from past to present, mixing local flavour with mystery and shady dealings, and creates realistic characters that keep surprising you by refusing to be caricatures or one-phrase jokes. The novel is a good old-fashioned mystery, a great romance, a fun book (without nastiness or bile) and it will leave you with a smile on your face.
If you’re looking for gritty, realistic and bloody crime books, you dislike local character, or expect heavy sex scenes; this will not be your book. But if you’re looking for a fun book, that will keep you reading, laughing and thinking, and will take you away from your day to day life, do not hesitate and read this book. I know I’ve already booked a space for the whole series in my Kindle.

Body of review:
Another fun filled wander through Goose Pimple Junction
I had the good fortune of taking part in the blog tour for Amy Metz’s first novel in the Goose Pimple Junction Series. To tell you the truth, when I received the e-mail inviting me to take part and read the title of the book ‘Murder and Mayhem in Goose Pimple Junction’ I had to find out more. And once I read the premise, I knew I could not resist.
I thoroughly enjoyed the first book. As you’ve probably noticed if you follow my reviews, I don’t read in specific genres (I have some favourites, but if there’s something about a book that grabs my attention, I’m willing to give it a go). Thrillers and horror books are among the ones I read more often, and I don’t mind how hard core they might be, but I also enjoy the somewhat old-fashioned pace of good mysteries of yesteryears.
I loved Amy Metz’s first novel and, somewhat surprisingly for blog tours organised by others, I did exchange a number of e-mails with the author. When she kindly alerted me to her new book I put it immediately in my ‘to read’ list, although circumstances dictated that a few months passed before I managed to get to it.
Having read and loved ‘Murder and Mayhem’ I was a bit concerned that the details of the first book would not be as fresh in my memory as I’d like them to, but soon enough I felt at home in Goose Pimple Junction, a charming Southern town, with a gorgeous bookshop (that features less centrally in this book than in the first one), a diner with one of the most entertaining couples I’ve met in any books (and fab descriptions of foods), a new chief of police (and very dashing), and a mystery or two. I was happy to revisit two of the main characters in the first story, the two writers, Jack and Tess, and see how their romance was progressing, although this time the mysteries centre around Martha Maye and her estranged and fairly narcissistic husband, Lenny, and some odd robberies.
My impression is that a reader who hadn’t read the first book in the series would be able to follow this novel, although would probably feel intrigued, as there are several times when the events of the first novel are referred to without giving many details.
I enjoyed the Southern proverbs and use of dialect as much as I did the first time around, although like everything that’s quirky and adds to the atmosphere rather than the plot, it might not be to the taste of all readers.
If I had to compare it to the first novel in the series, I’d say ‘Heroes and Hooligans’ is a much easier read, as there are no different time frames or stories taking place in different historical periods. There are also fewer characters being truly involved in the case and the family connections are far less complicated, although I think that added to the texture and experience of the first one. The two main characters, Johnny, the new chief of police, and Martha Maye, are easy to like, and in the case of Martha Maye due to the family connections and our previous knowledge she feels very familiar. We don’t know much about Johnny other than he is besotted with Martha Maye, but he plays the hero part with aplomb, and seems perfectly matched with her. I still felt closer to Tess and Jack, but I always like writer characters.
On the side of the hooligans, Lenny is thoroughly creepy and unlikeable as I already mentioned I think he fits into the category of narcissist too. His brother is a strange character, somewhat more complex than Lenny and the murderer… Although there are some clues, who the guilty party is, is far from evident. (And I won’t spoil the mystery).
The two mysteries and the secondary characters (Pickles and his T-shirts, Martha Maye’s fabulous family, including the fantastic Lou and her aunt), the fabulous titles of songs and the Oktoberfest (that easily rivals the 4th of July celebrations of the first novel, if not surpasses it) will give most readers the right amount of intrigue and humour and will keep them coming back for more, as will the quality of the writing.
A fun, light read, full of unforgettable characters. I’m eagerly waiting for the third novel.
What the book is about: Several mysteries taking place in a small Southern US town. Full of character and humorous.
Book Highlights: The proverbs, the Southern language, the characters and their relationships.
Challenges of the book: Might miss some of the complete experience if read alone and not after reading the first one. The ‘Southern charm’ must be lost on some readers.
What do you get from it: A good time and an escape into a gentle (most of the time), nicer way of life.
What I would have changed if anything: I’d like a bit more background to Johnny but maybe that will come in time.
Who Would I recommend this book to?: Anybody who enjoys cosy mysteries and likes to visit small-towns full of character in their reads.

¿Qué he aprendido?

Visité Do It organisation y encontré varias cosas que me interesaban, algunas muy locales.
El logo of Penistone FM in situ, dentro del estudio
https://www.facebook.com/penfm
Y Twitter:
@PenistoneFM

Hi all:
Those of you who have been following me for a while will remember that a few months back I wrote a post about volunteering and how I’d started working at the local radio station (Penistone FM). Just in case, and as the post was in the previous blog, I’ve added it to the end of this one so you can read it if you fancy a reminder or want to know how I felt at the time.
Although some things have got in the way of my training there at times, Andy Riley, my mentor, has been a star showing me the ropes. I’ve also joined Jo Ruston on Sunday nights for her ‘Country Routes’ programme (from 8 to 10 pm, a must for all country music lovers), and more recently I started having some training sessions with Steve Dobson, who’s been going through some technical information and we’ve been talking about interviews. It’s good to see the diverse styles of the presenters as this will help create my own in the future.
Under Andy’s and the rest of the team’s guidance, the last week of January and in February I was facilitating the three hour programme (Tuesday 5 to 8 pm) on my own (at least live on air, although with plenty of technical support). The 16th of February was my last official day under Andy’s supervision, as he is off to train more volunteers and we’ve agreed that once I’m back in the UK and after some reminder sessions with Steve Dobson, I might be taking over my own programme. I’ll update you on that as soon as it is confirmed, as I hope you’ll give me a hand with content for the programmes and you’ll listen (even if it has to be on-line).
What have I learned? The joy of trying something new. How many things are going on locally that had gone unnoticed under my radar before. The enthusiasm of the local community. The importance of keeping an eye on the clock, thinking quick on your feet and making sure that you’re there in time for the news (no matter what). The need to think before you talk (and/or have a good excuse). And how dedicated people are to the project. Thanks to the whole Penistone FM team for making me feel so welcome.
As I mentioned in the article I attach, the radio station is run by volunteers, and although that means we don’t get paid, the expenses for any projects and for the everyday running of the place have to come from somewhere. Advertising is a route but they’re always exploring funding options. And this year, Penistone FM is participating in ITV’s the Peoples’ Project. Although you’ll only be able to vote if you have an address in the UK, I thought I’d share as it is a great initiative and you can check the variety of projects there are.
This is the official write-up for Penistone FM (unfortunately I can’t watch the video here in Spain but if you do, tell me what it’s like. And don’t worry, I’m not in it!)
Penistone FM and our project “Evolve” is one of only five groups in South Yorkshire that have been shortlisted to compete for the public vote and the Big Lottery cash in ITV’s The Peoples Projects TV competition. Evolve training project at Penistone FM aims to make community radio more accessible to local people and give new communication skills and interests to rural isolated villages. We want to be able to offer local people the same chances to learn new skills, enjoy a fun social activity and make new friends. Please visit http://www.penistonefm.co.uk

And here, the original post:
Have you thought about #volunteering? I’m on the radio! @PenistoneFM
Hi all:
As you all know, life can take some funny detours on the way to wherever it is taking us. I don’t know you, but I have found myself at times at an impasse, in between things. Things are moving but not quite ready yet for the next step or one needs to regroup and rework ones plans.
And there I was. As I suppose many of you, I receive notifications from quite a few places. LinkedIn regularly sends me e-mails suggesting jobs nearby. As I haven’t been at home very much in the last few months I hadn’t paid them that much attention, but just before I went on my holiday I realised they were suggesting volunteering jobs in the area where I live. I’d always thought I’d volunteer at some point ‘when I had more time’ but recently I’ve decided not to put off things because there’s never enough time unless we make the time. I checked Do It organisation and there were quite a few things I was interested in, some very local. As so far I’d always worked away from Penistone (South Yorkshire, UK), where I live, I thought this would be an excellent opportunity to get more involved.

I applied for a job in Penistone FM, went to visit and meet Martin Sugden who agreed to let me try, and now I’m going once a week, on Tuesdays from 5 pm to 8 pm, and sit at a desk under the watchful eye of Andy Riley, who is a fantastic trainer and knows well how to make people feel at ease.

This is Andy, who needs to keep an eye on weather, traffic, Facebook, Twitter…
Penistone FM (you can check also in Wikipedia) was formed in 2005 as a non-for-profit community radio station to broadcast around the Penistone and surrounding area on 95.7 FM. The process of obtaining the licence and setting up took some time, and the station finally went on air, live, on the 6th of June 2009. It is entirely run by volunteers, and although I imagine many of you won’t be in the area, you can always check online, here, and there’s even an App you can download.
If you want to know how I’ve found it so far (it’s very early days)…People are great, I love everything (the community ads [I’m now finally up to date with what is happening], the selection of weird news and the Quiz of Doom by Andy), I’m in awe of the time management skills necessary to fit everything in, of the technology, and I hope people enjoy listening to the programme (despite my accent).

It’s like NASA but smaller!
Andy tells me I’m doing OK, and hopefully I’ll be doing more and more things as I go along (I started pressing buttons and things last week), so who knows!
I’m still getting to know the people working there, but so far, loving it.

It’s me on the radio!
Don’t forget to follow in Facebook:
https://www.facebook.com/penfm
And Twitter:
@PenistoneFM
I’ll keep you posted. Go on, check us out! And, why don’t you have a go at volunteering? I’m sure there are many good causes you might be able to contribute to, even if you only have a bit of time every week. And you might learn something, have fun, and what’s more important, help.
Thanks so much to Penistone FM, and Andy Riley in particular for his patience, thanks to all of you for reading, and you know what to do, like, comment, share and CLICK! And consider VOLUNTEERING!

By Fabiana Peralta on September 4, 2015
Format: Kindle Edition

Author Tamara Ferguson
AN INTERVIEW WITH Tamara Ferguson One of the Authors FROM MOTHER’S DAY MAGIC
#1 Bestselling & Multi-award winning author of the Romance Reviews Readers’ Choice Award in new adult romance
The Story I’ve Contributed Is

Two Hearts Unspoken (Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Romance II) by Tamara Ferguson
TWO HEARTS UNSPOKEN
(Two hearts wounded warrior romance ii)
Retired air force captain and wounded warrior, Zach Logan, discovers that his scars are more than skin deep, when he falls in love with Beth Bowen; the lovely single mother of an autistic son. Could these two lonely people discover that love is that something unspoken that’s been missing from their lives?
What Was The Inspiration For Your Mother’s Day Magic Story?
I’m the single mom of a severely Autistic son. The story allows me to give some insight—not only about autism, but about the problems associated with his funding.
How much research was involved in writing your story? How did you go about it?
Not too much research—I decided to write about what I know—since I’m currently involved in a bunch of other writing projects. As far at the wounded warrior aspect—I also watch a lot of CNN—so the world’s problems always seem to be on my mind. My oldest son is a licensed athletic trainer and therapist, so the medical issues are much easier to research when you have your own personal consultant!
How often do your characters surprise you by doing or saying something totally unexpected?
All the time—my story is completely different from the story I intended to write! Sometimes the story just takes off in its own direction, and you have to go with the flow.
Do you miss spending time with your characters when you finish writing this story?
Definitely! That’s why I love writing series romance—many of my previous characters are popping up in each new story I write.
What writer has been your biggest inspiration?
Nora Roberts, Linda Howard & Mary Balogh are the 3 writers I’m the most inspired by—each in a different way—because their stories strike me the most emotionally.
What non-writer had the most influence on your life And why?
Probably my grandmother—I was the only daughter in two generations—so she pretty much spoiled me rotten—but she was also someone who inspired me to think that anything was possible.
How important is the choosing of character names to you? Have you ever decided on a name and then changed it because it wasn’t right for the character?
Names are very important to me—yes I change them if they don’t feel right! I also relate my cover pictures to my characters as closely as possible. This is the salesperson in me! First impressions are very important to the reader (speaking as someone who used to read 7-10 novels per week before I began writing!!)
Do you allow others to read your work in progress, or do you keep it a secret until you’ve finished your first draft?
No one usually asks to read my stories while they’re still in progress!
What inspired you to write your first book?
My son was supposed to enter a vocational program after he graduated from his specialized education, but this fell through because of Illinois’ budget cuts. My plans for expanding my own business were put on hold—since I had to take care of my son full-time. Writing is like therapy for me—and keeps me from thinking about the what-ifs in my life that I can’t do anything about. So the unexpected success I’ve been having has come as a complete surprise for me.
What might we be surprised to know about you?
Besides the fact that I’m a full-time caregiver of my youngest son—who’s severely autistic and an insulin dependent diabetic? There’s not a whole lot of choice in the matter because of the funding in the state of Illinois. That’s why I used this novella to bring up a few of the worries parents like myself are facing with the budget cuts being proposed by the new governor.
But there are also hidden joys in to found in the raising of a special kid—which I also touch base about in my story!
Otherwise, I have a ton of hobbies—including home improvement (I built an addition and put a new roof on the house—so big time home improvement, here)—gardening, cooking, floral arranging—all which I never seem to have time for anymore!

The fabulous line up of Mother’s Day Magic

No voy a mentiros.
#Writers, if you dream of your books reaching new markets, now you have a chance. #Translationpromotion English-Spanish. 50% OFF
Hi all:

Check Unsplash.com for great photos
Those of you who have been following my blog for a while will know that apart from writing, reviewing books, and talking about books, I also translate book from English to Spanish and from Spanish to English. I started by translating my own books because I wanted to make sure my parents and my friends back home could read them, (although I’m Spanish, from Barcelona, I’ve lived in the UK since 1992) but in the last couple of years I’ve also been translating books by other writers. You can check some of those here.
Due to family matters I haven’t had much chance to promote my services until now. To get things started I’ve decided to offer a special promotion. 50% discount of all translations. It is a time limited offer.
My usual tariff is $40/1000 words but this will be slashed in half. If you’re thinking about translating your book in the near future, you can take advantage of this offer and reserve a spot at this price for a deposit. If you’d like to discuss your project in more detail, you can e-mail me at mmxrynz@hotmail.com

Great NASA pic from Unsplash again
As an author, I know we live for our readers and want to ensure that our books can reach readers wherever they are and in whatever language they read. I won’t lie to you. There are other options to get your books translated, like Babel Cube where you can offer your books for translation for a split royalties’ deal, but you have to give control over the process to Babel Cube and they control the production of the book and the distribution rights for five years. I know quite a few of us are self-published authors and we are used to being in charge, or at least closely supervising, all aspects of our book production, so this might not be an attractive option for all. There are many places where you can find translators, including Fiverr if you’d prefer to be in charge of the process and you have the funds to invest and the time to check and vet. It’s your decision.
As you know, I blog in Spanish and English and I’m happy to share the books I translate with some of the readers and writers groups I belong to and to write a feature about them in my blog. But I’ll happily do that even if you get the translation done elsewhere. You only need to let me know.
Thanks to all for reading this and I’d be specially grateful if you like it, share, and comment. And send me an e-mail if you want to ask me any questions. (Ah, I’m happy to check translations done by others if you want a second opinion or a second pair of eyes).

#Guestauthor Uvi Poznansky (@UviPoznansky) The David Chronicles and The Music of Us. Art and stories
Hi all:
You know on Fridays I like to bring you guest authors and new books. I realised, after author and artist Uvi Poznansky was so kind as to feature me as a guest in her blog (check here, and don’t forget to follow her blog for her news and her great features) that although I’d shared some of her books when she’d featured them as part of collections with several authors, she’d never been a guest in her own right, and I thought it was about time.
Here she is:

Author Uvi Poznansky
Uvi Poznansky is a California-based author, poet and artist.
She earned her B. A. in Architecture and Town Planning from the Technion in Haifa, Israel. During her studies and in the years immediately following her graduation, she practiced with an innovative Architectural firm, taking a major part in the large-scale project, ‘Home for the Soldier’; a controversial design that sparked fierce public debate.
At the age of 25 Uvi moved to Troy, N.Y. with her husband and two children. Before long, she received a Fellowship grant and a Teaching Assistantship from the Architecture department at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where she guided teams in a variety of design projects; and where she earned her M.A. in Architecture. Then, taking a sharp turn in her education, she earned her M.S. degree in Computer Science from the University of Michigan.
During the years she spent in advancing her career–first as an architect, and later as a software engineer, software team leader, software manager and a software consultant (with an emphasis on user interface for medical instruments devices)–she wrote and painted constantly, and exhibited in Israel and California. In addition, she taught art appreciation classes. Her versatile body of work can be seen online at uviart.com. It includes bronze and ceramic sculptures, oil and watercolor paintings, charcoal, pen and pencil drawings, and mixed media.

She has a great collection of books, The David Chronicles, all around the figure of King David (that as you know has always intrigued me)
Book one in the series is FREE

Rise to Power by Uvi Poznansky
Rise to Power (The David Chronicles Book 1) by Uvi Poznansky
Here is the story of David as you have never heard it before: from the king himself, telling the unofficial version, the one he never allowed his court scribes to recount. In his mind, history is written to praise the victorious—but at the last stretch of his illustrious life, he feels an irresistible urge to tell the truth. In the first volume, Rise to Power, David gives you a fascinating account of his early years, culminating with a tribal coronation. Rooted in ancient lore, his is a surprisingly modern memoir.
In an era of cruelty, when destroying the enemy is deemed a sacred directive, the slayer of Goliath finds a way to become larger than life. His search for a path to power leads him in ways that are, at times, scandalous. Notorious for his contradictions, David is seen by others as a gifted court entertainer, a successful captain in Saul’s army, a cunning fugitive, a traitor leading a gang of felons, and a ruthless raider of neighboring towns who leaves no witnesses behind.
How does he see himself, during this first phase of his life? With his hands stained with blood, can he find an inner balance between conflicting drives: his ambition for the crown, his determination to survive the conflict with Saul, and his longing for purity, for a touch of the divine, as expressed so lyrically in his psalms and music?
If you like ancient historical fiction about court intrigue, this king David novel has a modern twist like no book you have read before.

A Peek at Batsheeba by Uvi Poznansky
A Peek at Bathsheba (The David Chronicles Book 2)
Against the backdrop of wars, raging within the land and without, David is growing into the mantle of leadership. Between his anointment as a tribal king and his anointment as the king of all of Israel, he uses wisdom, cunning, and his own understanding of the forces of history, aiming for high ideals: stopping the bloodshed, uniting the nation, and bringing about healing and peace.
But then, having reached his peak, David falters. He makes a serious error that threatens to undo his political success, and cost him not only the adoration of his people—but also the sense of being sustained by a divine power. That error is the most torrid tale of passion ever told: his deliciously forbidden love for Bathsheba, followed by his attempt to cover up the ensuing scandal by sending her husband—who serves him faithfully in his army—to his death.
This standalone novel is volume II of The David Chronicles. It is told candidly by the king himself. David uses modern language, indicating that this is no fairytale. Rather, it is a story that is happening here and now. Listen to his voice as he undergoes a profound change, realizing the magnitude of his sin, and the curse looming over his entire future.
If you like ancient historical fiction about court intrigue, this king David novel has a modern twist like no book you have read before. And among forbidden love books, this one stands alone.

And book 3

The Edge of Revolt by Uvi Poznansky
The Edge of Revolt (The David Chronicles Book 3) by Uvi Poznansky
Struggling to find the right balance between loving his sons and upholding justice, David is silent when Amnon rapes his daughter, Tamar, and when Absalom lures Amnon to his death. These crimes go unpunished, because a mysterious change has come upon the king, which his court scribes note even before he does. In the past he had to explain his actions, such as the affair with Bathsheba, to them. Now, they want to understand the opposite thing: his lack of action.
In families other than his, such matters may be a mere matter of gossip. Yet when assault, incest, and murder occur in the king’s family, they affect matters of the state. David is toppled from his throne, and must escape from the son he adores, Absalom.
Even as he finds a way to quell the revolt and come back to the City of David, the road ahead seems unclear. How will he find the right successor amongst his remaining sons, the one who will connect to him and continue his legacy?
This standalone novel is volume III of The David Chronicles. It is told candidly by the king himself. David uses modern language, indicating that this is no fairytale. Rather, it is a story that is happening here and now. Each volume can be read as a standalone novel. Taken together, they put you in the skin of the character from youth to old age.

The Music of Us Audiobook
The Music of Us: Still Life with Memories, Book 3 Audible – Unabridged
Uvi Poznansky (Author, Publisher), Don Warrick (Narrator)
In 1970, Lenny can no longer deny that his wife is undergoing a profound change. Despite her relatively young age, her mind succumbs to forgetfulness. Now, he goes as far back as the moment he met Natasha, when he was a soldier and she a star, brilliant yet illusive. Natasha was a riddle to him then, and to this day, with all the changes she has gone through, she still is.
Digging into the past, mining its moments, trying to piece them together this way and that, dusting off each memory of Natasha, of how we were, the highs and lows of the music of us, to find out where the problem may have started?
To their son, Ben, that may seem like an exercise in futility. For Lenny, it is a necessary process of discovery, one that is as tormenting as it is delightful. He often wonders: can we ever understand, truly understand each other – soldier and musician, man and woman, one heart and another? Will we ever again dance together to the same beat? Is there a point where we may still touch?

Still Live with Memories three books series
Still Life with Memories (3 Book Series) Kindle Edition
From Book 1: Ten years ago, when she was seventeen, Anita started an affair with Lenny, in spite of knowing that he was a married man. Now married to him and carrying his child, she finds herself condemned to compete with Natasha’s shadow, the memory of her brilliance back in her prime, before she succumbed to early-onset Alzheimer’s. Despite Anita’s lack of education, her rough slang, and what happened to her in the past, Lenny tries to transform her. He wants her to become Natasha.
Faced with his compelling wish, and the way he writes her as a character in his book, how can Anita find a voice of her own?
