Decisions, Decisions
So Pear Tree peeps, I have a dilemma. I have been collecting Aeroplan air miles for some time, now, and am about to loose them if I don’t use them by the end of the year. I’ve got enough to get me almost anywhere on mainland North America (probably not Mexico, though), and, yes, the travel bug is itching!

A Picture of Me, and You
I just have to share this fun project with you, going on at the Kelowna Art Gallery right now. The gallery, which just happens to be where Mr. Pear Tree works, is planning to fill one entire wall with some 4,000 4×6 photographs that define, in some way, the people who submit them.

Flutter, Flutter, Butterfly
I can’t tell you the number of caterpillars I caught as a child, and held hostage in a glass jar, holes poked through the canning lid for air, in hopes of raising my own butterfly. These experiments with nature proved largely futile. Generally the caterpillar would appear to cocoon, never to emerge. Once, I mysteriously ended up with a jar full of black flies which, as you can imagine, was far from rewarding.

What I Wore in the Rain Today
So it’s raining here. It has been all week. I have mixed feelings about it because, while part of me actually LOVES the rain, most of me gets tired fast of all the time spent indoors when we could be out doing almost anything else!

A Place on Pandosy
So, let me tell you about my addiction: house porn. I love looking in houses. Show homes, open houses, magazine layouts of professionally styled rooms, house-themed blogs, you name it. And a couple of years ago I discovered MLS (realtor.ca), where I can actually tour local homes for sale from the comfort of my own sofa. I do this regularly, despite the fact that I love where I live and have no plans to move in the near future.

What I Wore Wednesday
I’ve been watching What I Wore Wednesday submissions over on The Pleated Poppy and Lisa Leonard’s blog for some time now, but have demurred at posting my own because, well, a) I haven’t been blogging (blush) and b) I figured no one would be interested in my low-maintenance wardrobe. But two things have helped me change my mind. 1) If I’m going to blog every day, which I’m going to try to do, I’m going to need to get creative with my ideas and 2) it’s just for fun, so why not?
