Our Ability Video Podcast 1.1 – COVID 19

Here is information received to date on COVID 19.

Per New York State Department of Health –

The first link from the Administration for Community Living, contains specific guidance for older adults and people with disabilities, as data suggests they are at increased risk due to the likelihood of having underlying chronic conditions such as heart, lung or kidney disease.  The other links are to Department of Health sites and the CDC. All of which list precautions to take and supplies to have on hand. We also included the Department of Health COVID-19 hotline, which has been set up to triage questions from the public: 1-888-364-3065

I hope this is helpful! As far as the podcast, I would like to be on it, but I need to see if I will need internal approvals to participate. If so, that may take a while.. But I will keep you posted. In the meantime, I am happy to provide any other support needed.

Please, Joe Biden

Our ability logo with moving forward wheelchair design

Dear Joe Biden,

If you want to be President of the United States, you need to embrace Bernie Sanders today (and Bernie – time to gracefully drop-out). I understand, you will be the nominee – and I support you 100%. But I want you to become President of the United States. And, the way to do that is to look to the future.

In our present situation with coronavirus, economic downfall
and disenfranchisement we need to embrace a vision of the future. And, we need
to engage young people in that future. Embrace two items: income disparity and
universal healthcare.

Sit down with Bernie Sanders and discuss these issues. Ask for his support if you work towards a future together on these two items.Reach out to Kamala Harris and Elizabeth Warren to determine who would be the best Secretary of State and who would be the best Vice President. Task them with looking at universal healthcare beginning today.Embrace Andrew Yang and his plan for the Freedom Dividend. At a time when coronavirus is going to cripple our economy, $1000 a month for every American citizen is a good idea to bridge the gap to 2021 and beyond. It will also reinvest in our own economy. Tap Andrew Yang to be the secretary of the treasury. Freedom Dividend will go a long way to support middle America!

My purpose is to improve of the lives of individuals with disabilities through employment. All of these elements assist in that. Promoting universal health eliminates healthcare issues of Medicaid for People with Disabilities.  Replacing Social Security benefits with the Freedom Dividend will build our community.

But I’m asking you not to just think about people with Disabilities,
I’m asking you to think about the next generation of Americans.
