Revising and Writing
Hey all. Sorry for the silence. There’s not much to report right now, but here’s a little update on things:
1.) I should be getting first round edits for Over the River soon and I’m working on the book trailer, which will hopefully be up by the first week of September. I’m also going to try and put up a playlist for OtR, as this book had a definite soundtrack to it!
2.) I’m also polishing up Ghost Book 2 as well as writing on ZombieYA. Both books are coming along nicely and I’m hoping to have GB2 ready for submission by the end of next week. I’m about 3/4 of the way through this round of revisions right now.
I’m actually revising what I have written on ZombieYA before continuing with the rest of the story. Normally I wouldn’t do this- books do not get written if you edit as you write!- but this story got derailed somewhere in the first one hundred pages and I can’t seem to write the rest of it, which means I have to fix what I have to get the story back on track.
3.) I’ve started writing Ghost Book 3. The first chapter is written 
4.) I’m currently reading Magic Rises by Ilona Andrews and White Trash Zombie Apocalypse by Diana Rowland. I highly recommend both series for those who love Urban Fantasy.
5.) I went to see The Conjuring and LOVED it! While some of it was predictable, there were some well done scares and the slow-built tension was spot on. The acting was fantastic! I highly recommend this movie who love the old school horror. This one feels like it was out of the 70s and I just cannot say enough good things about it

I just saw the cover art for Over the River, and it is BEAUTIFUL! Hopefully I’ll get to share it soon
In writing news, I’ve currently finished a round of revisions on Ghost Book 2 and think that it’ll take probably two more passes before I’m truly happy with it and start querying agents with it. It’s almost there, though, as an author, I’ll always worry it’s not good enough for public consumption LOL. I’m expecting second round edits from my editor for my paranormal romance novel, written under my Libby Bishop name, as well as first round edits for Over the River. I’m also working on ZombieYA, which is coming along nicely.

Another Round Down
I just finished a second round of revisions on Ghost Book 2, which is the second book in my Isles and West trilogy. The first book being Over the River, which releases (as stated in my last post ) October 25, 2013.
In Ghost Book 2, my main characters really take a beating, both physically and emotionally. But the main character, who the reader sees through, really took a beating today. She got her ass kicked. I hated doing it, but its her and her partners job to handle the most vicious cases with ghosts and dark beings. I didn’t hold back because the things she was fighting don’t hold back.
I’m printing the book out now so that I can look through it again, as I had to rewrite three chapters and write two new chapters, plus revise the ending to match those rewrites and new chapters. I’ll wait a day or two to look at it. In that day or two I’ll be editing through a new erotic romance novella I’ve just finished, which will be published under my Libby Bishop name.
Once that’s finished, it’ll be time for yet another round of revisions for Ghost Book 2
