Cover Reveal: Love in the Time of the Dead by Tera Shanley

Are you totally jazzed by that title?

Seriously, even if thewriter wasn’t my bubbly author friend, Tera Shanley (yeah, bubbly, you heard right…and she’s got a cool zombie romance releasing later this month), I’d be checking out this book based on the title alone. And if you think that’s over the top, take a look at the cover. I love the illuminated “O” around the full moon!

Sizzle and Sass: A Kindle Paperwhite G*I*V*E*A*W*A*Y by Mae Clair

Welcome to October, friends. I’m a summer kind of gal, but I’m easily enchanted by the magic of fall. Who doesn’t succumb to the spell of jewel-bright leaves, cozy hearth fires and bright orange pumpkins? October is one of my favorite months, and this year I’m thrilled to be participating in multiple events celebrating authors, writers, and Halloween shenanigans.

ss180x600dFirst up, a number of my Lyrical Press sisters and I have teamed together as hostesses of a fun Facebook page called Sizzle and Sass...

Mythical Monday: The Woodsman Hall by Mae Clair

There is an old legend the Europeans favor that describes a rambling building tucked among towering trees in a forest clearing. An ancient structure of weathered timber, this strangely haphazard dwelling gives the appearance of being constructed one room at a time over the centuries.

Crooked chimneys of time-pitted brick send plumes of smoke curling into the sky, while green-paned windows can be glimpsed beneath the rugged eaves. The entrance door is massive, hinged with hand-forged iron, impo...

Mythical Monday: When the Sky Had a Tail by Mae Clair

It’s Mythical Monday, and as you read this post I’m relaxing on a nice beach on the eastern seaboard (don’t worry, I’ll be checking in later). There’s nothing mythical about that, just a long over due vacation and highly anticipated. :)

Since I’m officially in vacation mode, I’m recycling an old post from June of 2012 that only three people saw. It was before I started Mythical Monday, but it definitely falls into the category. Take a look:

My Address for the Day by Mae Clair

Whew! It seems like I’ve been everywhere this week (and for the last two months). Today marks the end of my blog tour for TWELFTH SUN with a guest appearance at Romance Lives Forever. I’m sharing a list of nautical superstitions, then taking a well deserved break. It’s Friday, the weekend is around the corner, and I’ve got a vacation coming up.

I intend to relax on the beach, read, and pen some notes as I plan my Mothman mystery novel which I’ll be tackling in November during NaNoWriMo. Look f...

The Way of the Dinosaur by Mae Clair

Today I’m visiting with Lorraine Paton, a fab writer I met during the days of Six Sentence Sunday. Even though SSS has since gone the way of the dinosaur, I have fond memories of those days and, of course, Lorraine. :)

She’s trotting out a short series of interview questions for me today during her What to Read Thursday feature. If you’ve been following me around for a while (and I know I’ve been haunting a lot of blog spots, especially over the last two months since TWELFTH SUN released) you m...

The Magic of Twelve by Mae Clair

Do you have a favorite number? Mine is twelve. I always think of it as the “betwixt number” because of the change it brings. The twelfth month falls at the end of the year, hovering on the cusp of a new one. 12:00 PM ushers in noon, midnight paves the way for a burgeoning new dawn. Twelve is a magical number in my opinion.

Today I’m sharing some interesting facts about the “number of cosmic order” as I visit with Christine Warner on her blog.

If you’d like to learn more about this very special...

Mythical Monday: Bewitched by Aquarius by Mae Clair

bigstock-Aquarius-vector-Zodiac-sign-b-25800644I’ll be the first to admit I’m not a fan of astrology or horoscopes. Based upon my January birthday, I’m an Aquarius, the sign of the water-bearer. And I remember the song by the Fifth Dimension. :) Once you start branching into rising moons, houses and cusps, I’m clueless.

I had to poke around to gather information for this post and discovered that Aquarians are idealistic, caring and intelligent. It seems we like intellectual stimuli and have an intrinsic love for nature and creativity. Ok, I’...
