A new release on a vintage TV show, starring actor David Hedison #FiveFingers #ClassicTV

I’ve long been a fan of vintage television shows, many of which aired before I was born or I was too young to remember. I discovered them later during syndication and it was like finding something wonderful and sparkly beneath a Christmas tree.

I’m a David Hedison fan. Yeah, I liked all that corny sci-fi on Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea—lobstermen, mermaids, and mutant aliens who wanted to get their sloppy tentacles on Seaview’s nuclear reactor. Imagine my surprise when I learned that David...

And–psst!–Sandra has a giveaway going on. :) Details are at the end of this post.

Mythical Monday: Legends of Zombie Land by Mae Clair

Tucked into western Pennsylvania, snuggled against the Ohio border lies a stretch of ground known as Zombie Land. Numerous tales have sprung up during the years of bizarre happenings and spectral apparitions that haunt the area. Rumors abound of eerie screams echoing in the night, and of ghostly phantoms that wander the darkness.

Legend also tells of a group of people known as the Light Bulb Heads. Afflicted with a condition that caused water to form on the brain (hydrocephalus), the group re...

Mae Clair Presents: MARRED by Sue Coletta #thriller #suspense #crimefiction

I’ve got a wonderful new author to introduce to you today. Sue Coletta is here to share her debut release, MARRED, a psychological thriller now available through pre-order. I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of this suspenseful tale and it’s has me on the edge of my seat as I frantically swipe Kindle pages to see what happens next. As I type this post, I’m roughly 65% through the book, and the stakes are at fever pitch for the characters.

Hey, just check out this cover. As someone who has b...

How many tasks can a writer juggle? by Mae Clair

I’ve decided that among the obvious word talent that writers possess, we’re also expert jugglers. Writing, editing, promotion, social media, giveaways…you get the idea.

Stressed woman with pink note surrounded by colorful post-it remindersLately, I’ve been doing a lot of juggling. Post-it note reminders have mutated are taking over my office. Here’s a glimpse of what I currently have going on:

I finished the content edits on A THOUSAND YESTERYEARS, book 1 of my Point Pleasant Series. My editor was pretty tough this go-round and pointed out a few things I hadn’t...

MYTH AND MAGIC, A Full-Length Halloween Mystery for $.99 by Mae Clair

Yep, you read the title correctly. In celebration of October’s spookfest, the e-book version of my romantic suspense/mystery novel, MYTH AND MAGIC is on sale across all major retailers for just $.99. This is a Halloween-themed novel, so it’s idea for curling up with this time of year.

If you like hayrides, Halloween parties, dressing in costume, old houses with creaking floorboards, and rumors of things-that-go-bump in the night, you’re going to love MYTH AND MAGIC.

I’d be delighted if you wo...

Catching up on Challenges (and cheating along the way) by Mae Clair

During the chaos of June and July, when I was going crazy with a blog tour for MYTH AND MAGIC, followed by a much needed vacation with down-time, I was tagged by several friends with blog challenges. Although I am abhorrently late in posting, I didn’t forget about them, and want to thank my friends for thinking of me! :)

I am, however, going to cheat and lump all of the challenges into this post. Here goes…

CHALLENGE NO. 1:

Julie Holmes tagged me to participate in the 5-Day Photo Challenge.

Mythical Monday: The Colorful Chameleon by Mae Clair

Hi, friends. You might recall a recent post I did in which I *ahem* whined about losing a Mythical Monday blog article on the chameleon. Such an amateur mistake which I thought I had wisely outgrown.

Guess what?

After shuffling through numerous folders on my computer, I realized I hadn’t lost it after all. Apparently, overcome by a moment of mad genius, I saved it with an unrecognizable name in the wrong sub-folder. *shakes head* I have no clue what I was thinking but am going to blame the la...

Change, Idiots, and Mr. Evening by Mae Clair

It’s official. I’m an idiot.

I had a cool blog post lined up for yesterday’s Mythical Monday and then realized it was Labor Day. Since I’m rarely online over a holiday, I decided to save it for later, but then discovered …wait for it…I HADN’T SAVED THE BLOODY THING! *smacks palm to forehead*

What’s really frustrating is that I had tied the post (about a chameleon) into the changing look for my blog. Clever of me, don’t you think? Or, at least it would have been if I’d saved it. Hopefully, I c...
