More from Red Claw and his superhero misadventures ...
It never failed. David and the supernatural mixed like motor oil and a banana smoothie.
While Pyrros’ feather augmented David’s already accelerated meta-healing factor, it also did something else. It kick started a sneeze that shook him, the bed, and a nearby IV machine not even attached to anything. After one brief fit of that, David rubbed his nose and blinked before stretching his mouth in a semi-yawn. Once done being the poster child for the undignified, he met Amy’s concerned look. A smir...

Last we left off with Red Claw and his misadventures ...
David did not step away from Death’s door so much as he flopped over sideways after running into the doorframe, head first.
He opened his eyes. Colors mixed like a protein shake gone bad. Through the fog of medication, he fought with sluggish determination to the land of reason. On the second try, he won. David looked around taking in the bed, its safety rails, the IV drip leading to his arm, and the endless sea of sterile white. It was not until his bedraggled thoughts assembled the puzzle pi...

Last we left off in "Beyond the Black ..."
The wait seemed like forever, but it had been worth it.Patience paid off, as did the fledgling trust Kummer had in his crewmates.
“Security just took the lift,” he said from the shadow of the station’s hydraulic coolant pipes. “How’s it coming?”
A dull pop, faint hiss and the whiff of stale air preceded Ash’s cheerful, “Oh, not a problem.” He stored the data cables, followed by his datapad. “You were right about this maintenance door. Security was lighter here, not a soul picked up on my work-a...

Morning Creative Writing ...
Killian woke to the sounds of Cambridge greeting another morning in 1812.
Despite the concern of dysentery, cholera, questionable food, and the need to boil any water, he realized that time travel might not be all that bad. Even the shadow of a time war, the reason for the time travel, failed to change his mind. That thought did remind about Aleph’s warning over the enemy agent in the area. While important, he still shoved the dire memory to the back of his mind for the moment.

A little more afternoon creative writing ...
(Author's Note : This follows along with the creative writing from yesterday ... )
In the Orissa Military Base cell-block, after watching Agent David Ironhorse dragged away. Trapped in a cell with the others, enjoying that sinking feeling of being caught …
As a work day went, Ravi felt it had started great. In the airport, meeting the legendary agents from headquarters. But, that was before the running, and so much screaming.
Now? It was most certainly crap. It was not the ‘first impression’ he...

Afternoon creative writing with some superhero adventure...
Deep within the Orissa Military Base. With the team caught, David was isolated away from the others. The researchers had not learned that was a bad idea …
It was over as fast as it started.
The first collection of soldiers on escort duty were Indian military. Well-trained, professional, and obvious to the danger that David represented. They took no chances with him, but also afforded him a level of respect. Once deeper inside the complex, that could not be said once David was transferred to the...

Evening creative writing with some superhero misadventures ...
“Do you think it might have something to do with this?“ she asked, naïvely from the other vehicle, looking at the tracking device.
David’s face scrunched up in the best impression of ‘irritated’ mixed with ‘frustrated’ that he could manage. This resulted in his mouth partly open, sniffing, while he scowled at the Jeep’s dashboard. The Jeep, much to its credit, was not impressed. It had suffered worse, so it ignored the cougar-man and his reproachful look.
“Tracker … tracker,” David intoned. “Th...

Morning creative writing in the Traveller RPG Universe!
Kummer was nodding while Teak spoke. The vargr’s head bobbed, while he pursed his lips. A sure sign of deep thinking over a tough problem.
“I agree, but not all for the same reasons Teak listed.” The vargr gestured at the screen with the ‘Project TI’ image. “Sure, the Zhodani love the chess master plans within plans. And all this? Yes, this is simple for them. But they’re working with the Sword Worlds. That plan is exactly what the Sword Worlds would do. The Zhodani know this, and can use the...

A little morning creative writing practice in the Star Wars universe ...
The medical scan of the clone’s head told the grim story. Two centimeters inside the frontal lobe, the image of the control chip shone malevolently on the hologram. But, unlike with Drozka or the deceased clones, this one had an additional complication.
“Confounded, green-blooded, ham-fisted, hairless run of a motherless goat,” Dr. Savak growled, spitting out each curse with equal emphasis. He blinked, remembering that he was not alone in the ship’s tiny medical bay. He glanced at Tia, then at...
