One week until my next giveaway!
To show appreciation for all those wonderful Fathers in the world, I am giving away “free” ebooks of The Sity. It’s kind of fitting considering there’s some major father issues in the book. I nominate President Sorien for worst father of the year. Maybe, Joseph as the best fatherly figure. Excited to see how many downloads I get for this three-day event. Been publicizing it a lot, but not sure how many websites will actually list it! Let you friends know about the promotion.

INTERVIEW WITH CURRAN GEIST, AUTHOR OF THE SITY
Hello, this is L.M. David. My blog guest today is Curran Geist, author of The Sity. With the upcoming start of the new season of True Blood, we were able to get Lafayette to do some juju. Must have work because Preston isn’t around, nothing has been tampered with and no complaints from the building manager. Then again, the tires are missing off my car…

Logan Lerman would be great as Victor
While many people may only know Logan Lerman from his most recent role in “The Perks of Being a Wallflower”, he’s actually had quite a diverse career. The role in particular that convinced me he’d make an excellent Victor was his part in “3:10 to Yuma” as the headlong William Evans. Just like Victor, William is a character who thinks with his heart first and foremost. I can easily envision Lerman wearing Victor’s trademark mime mask, tearing through the Sity in search of his family and his pa...

Check out another sample from the sequel to The Sity
I can do it. Take a deep breath. Reach forward. I am almost there. I can do it. I am not a wimp. I’ll prove you all wrong. Just don’t look down.
The human’s calloused fingers were slick with sweat as he clung to the branch of the pine tree. The boy could barely feel his legs any more for they had fallen asleep from immobility. He had come so close to the top, but then the reality of his situation had set in. The wind had begun to pick up and to ripple through his black hair. A gust of pine ne...

Evan Peters should play Logan
Logan was the most difficult to cast of the bunch. While Logan is undeniably sweet, he’s clearly been through some pretty horrific stuff. I needed to choose an actor who can play “sweet” without being overly dewy-eyed and innocent. Not only that but it had to be someone who would have chemistry with Carina. Is Peters super creepy on American Horror Story? Yes. But if you can get past the ghost raping etc, his character is actually pretty vulnerable. And with 2 more books to go in the series,...

Lily Cole would be great as Alexa
Though Alexa is introduced fairly late into book one of “The Sity”, it’s immediately apparent that she is a very complex character. Readers are left hungry to learn more about her by the book’s conclusion. I chose Lily Cole to play the part because she has both the beauty and aire of mystery that Alexa’s character demands. Plus she kind of looks like an alien…a pretty alien. – Meghan

Interview on Brandy Nacole’s Blog
BN: When did you start writing?
CG: I’ve been writing fiction since I was a little kid. I use to sneak out of bed late at night, while my parents were sleeping, and use my dad’s computer to do my writing. My parents use to wonder why I was always so tired in the mornings! Then I showed them all my half-completed adventure tales and they stopped worrying so much.
BN:What inspired you to write your first book?
CG:I wrote my first book at the age of thirteen. I had become obsessed with the first Al...

Now, for the BIG BAD Captain Kreagor… Michael Shannon
There’s only one actor to turn to when it comes to playing mentally unstable whether it be alien or human and that person is Michael Shannon. Shannon always fully commits to every role he takes which is why I think he’d be fantastic at motion-capture acting. The tone of his voice perfectly matches the corruption/hatred/hurt of Cpt. Kreagor’s character. I can envision Shannon’s eyes bulging with excitement right now! – Meghan
