The CREATIVE PROCESS of CONCEPT ART & CAR DESIGN…
The creative process of CONCEPT ART & CAR DESIGN is a mesmerizing journey that begins with a blank canvas and culminates in the sleek lines and innovative features of a new automobile. At the heart of this process lies sketching and the development of concept art, where designers harness the power of drawing to expand their minds creatively and push the boundaries of innovation. Not to mention that it’s really fun. (Check out Fireball’s Zeltango SKETCHES and hundreds more in the Garage here!)
SKETCHING serves as the cornerstone of car design, allowing myself to translate abstract ideas into tangible forms. It is a fluid, iterative process where initial concepts are brought to life through lines and curves on paper. These early sketches capture the essence of my vision, serving as the blueprint for further exploration and refinement.
But sketching is more than just a means to an end; it is a tool for unlocking creativity and challenging myself to envision new possibilities. By merging successful designs from the past with fresh ideas, I can push the envelope of innovation and create truly groundbreaking concepts. This process of synthesis and reinvention is essential for staying ahead in an industry driven by innovation and change.
Concept art takes sketching to the next level, allowing myself to explore ideas in greater detail and imbue them with personality and emotion. Through traditional and digital rendering, I can breathe life into concepts, refining every curve and contour until I achieve a variation of perfection. Concept art not only helps me communicate ideas to stakeholders but also serves as a source of inspiration and motivation throughout the design process.
The creative process of car design is inherently collaborative, with designers, engineers, and stakeholders working together to bring concepts to fruition. Drawing serves as a common language, allowing ideas to flow freely and sparking innovation at every turn. Whether it’s sketching ideas on a napkin or creating detailed concept art in a studio, drawing is a powerful tool for unleashing creativity and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.
**In the fast-paced world of CAR DESIGN and MOVIES, the Fireball Tim Garage is staying ahead of the curve by having a willingness to embrace new ideas and challenge conventional thinking. By harnessing the power of drawing, Fireball can expand minds creatively and push the boundaries of innovation, creating the next generation of groundbreaking automobiles. From sketching initial concepts to refining detailed concept art, drawing is at the heart of the creative process, driving innovation and inspiring new possibilities. Not to mention… cultivating the PRESENT MOMENT.

Fireball SKETCHES up SCHWINN GRAPE CRUSH Concept Art…
In the dynamic world of cycling, few names resonate with enthusiasts quite like Schwinn. Renowned for their innovation, quality, and style, Schwinn bicycles became an emblem of freedom and adventure, particularly in the 1960s and 70s. What propelled Schwinn to the zenith of success during this era? The answer lies not only in their commitment to engineering excellence but also in their daring embrace of unique colors, names, and designs that captured the spirit of the times.
Today, Fireball busts out the GRAPE CRUSH SCHWINN inflamed with coolness for those that rode this purple demon on wheels. Check the WHAT’S IN THE GARAGE!!
One of Schwinn’s most iconic creations from this period was the Orange Krate. Introduced in 1968 as part of their Sting-Ray series, the Orange Krate immediately captivated the imagination of young riders across America. Its vibrant hue, reminiscent of a summer sunset, was a bold departure from traditional bike colors. But it wasn’t just the color that made the Orange Krate stand out; it was the entire package. With its sleek design, high-rise handlebars, and unmistakable “banana” seat, the Orange Krate exuded coolness in every pedal stroke.
Following the success of the Orange Krate, Schwinn continued to push the boundaries of creativity with their color palette. In 1971, they unveiled the Grape Krate, a striking bike finished in a deep, luscious purple – aptly named Grape Crush. This audacious color choice not only turned heads but also solidified Schwinn’s reputation as a trendsetter in the industry. Suddenly, cycling wasn’t just about transportation; it was a form of self-expression, a way to make a statement.
But Schwinn’s innovation didn’t stop at colors alone. They also introduced imaginative names that added personality to their bikes. Models like the Lemon Peeler, Apple Krate, and Cotton Picker became household names, each evoking a sense of nostalgia and adventure. These names didn’t just describe the bikes; they imbued them with character, transforming them from mere modes of transportation into cherished companions on the open road.
Beyond colors and names, Schwinn’s designs were ahead of their time. From the sleek lines of their road bikes to the rugged durability of their mountain bikes, Schwinn consistently delivered products that exceeded expectations. Whether cruising along the boardwalk or tearing through dirt trails, riders trusted Schwinn to provide a superior riding experience.
Schwinn’s success in the 60s and 70s can be attributed to more than just their engineering prowess. It was their willingness to embrace bold colors, imaginative names, and innovative designs that set them apart from the competition. Today, as vintage Schwinn bikes continue to command attention at auctions and in collectors’ garages, their legacy lives on as a testament to the power of creativity in cycling.
Let’s ride…

Fireball SKETCHES awesome VW BUG DIECAST Concept Art
Who doesn’t LOVE THE VW BUG??
The VOLKSWAGEN BUG, with its iconic round shape and endearing charm, has proven to be more than just a mode of transportation. In the world of cinema, it has emerged as a beloved character in its own right, embodying humor, resilience, and goodwill. From the whimsical adventures of Herbie the Love Bug to the exhilarating chase scene support in Bullitt, the Bug has captured hearts and inspired laughter for generations.
One of the most famous Bug personas is undoubtedly Herbie, the anthropomorphic car with a mind of its own. Introduced to audiences in 1968’s “The Love Bug,” Herbie quickly became a symbol of pluckiness and determination, using his quirks to outsmart villains and win races. With his expressive headlights and mischievous antics, Herbie showcased the Bug’s ability to bring joy and excitement to the screen.
And in the 60’s Hot Wheels created the first SWEET SIXTEEN VW BUG in multiple colors. Today… Fireball SKETCH it’s SPECTRAFLAME BLUE and it’s in the Garage on Canvas and Mugs too!
In “Bullitt,” the Volkswagen Bug takes on a different role, providing a lighthearted contrast to the intense action surrounding Steve McQueen‘s iconic Mustang. As the unsuspecting target of McQueen’s pursuit, the Bug adds a touch of humor to the adrenaline-fueled chase through the streets of San Francisco by appearing several times in different locations. Despite its modest size, the Bug holds its own against the muscle cars of the era, proving that true strength comes in unexpected packages.
Beyond these notable examples, the Volkswagen Bug has made appearances in numerous films, often serving as a symbol of friendship, adventure, and camaraderie. Whether it’s ferrying characters on road trips or serving as a makeshift home, the VW Bug embodies the spirit of exploration and spontaneity.
But perhaps the true power of the VW Bug lies in its ability to unite audiences through laughter, goodwill and diecast. Regardless of its role in a particular film, the Bug’s timeless charm and enduring appeal remind us of the joy that can be found in life’s simple pleasures.

ROBOCOP infiltrates HAZZARD COUNTY Concept Art…
What happens when you merge ROBOCOP into HAZZARD COUNTY?? Concept Art Mayhem…
In the heart of Hazzard County, where the dusty roads wind through the countryside and moonshine flows as freely as the Chattahoochee River, there existed a legend known as the Duke boys. Bo and Luke Duke were renowned for their daring feats, fast cars, and their constant tussle with the law, particularly with the bumbling Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane.
But one day, fate took an unexpected turn when a mysterious corporation, Omni Consumer Products (OCP), sought to revolutionize law enforcement by combining human ingenuity with cutting-edge technology. In a clandestine operation, they dispatched their latest creation, ROBOCOP, to Hazzard County, aiming to quell the rising tide of crime.
However, the Dukes weren’t ones to take kindly to outsiders meddling in their affairs, especially when it came to their beloved county. Determined to maintain their way of life, Bo and Luke devised a plan. With the help of their trusty mechanic, Cooter, they set out to transform a version of their iconic orange Dodge Charger, the GENERAL LEE, into a formidable crime-fighting machine.
Utilizing spare parts salvaged from various scrap yards and Cooter’s mechanical wizardry, this new version of the General Lee underwent a remarkable transformation. Outfitted with state-of-the-art weaponry and equipped with advanced surveillance systems, the duplicate car emerged as the ultimate amalgamation of Southern charm and futuristic technology. And thus ROBODUKE was born.
With Roboduke patrolling the streets by day and the Duke boys wreaking havoc by night, Hazzard County became a battleground where justice and rebellion collided. Together, they formed an unlikely alliance, with Roboduke providing the brute force needed to take down the most hardened criminals, while the Dukes relied on their wits and cunning to outsmart their adversaries.
As word of their exploits spread, the citizens of Hazzard County found themselves torn between admiration and apprehension. Some hailed them as heroes, while others feared the unchecked power they wielded. Yet, amidst the chaos and uncertainty, one thing remained certain—the Duke boys (along with DAISY) would stop at nothing to protect their home, even if it meant bending the rules along the way.
And so, with the roar of engines and the crackle of gunfire echoing through the hills, the legend of Robocop as ROBODUKE and the General Lee lived on, a testament to the indomitable spirit of those who dared to defy the odds and fight for what they believed in. That… and Moonshine.
