If you watched my stories yesterday, you caught me in my new @levis socks about to open @kimberlymccreight ’s newest book, #FriendsLikeThese (out in September!) In today’s photo, I’m wearing the same socks… because I’ve managed to read this book in just one day, and didn’t need to change my footwear! I do read a lot, but I’m not someone who can read a book in a day - so consider this a sign that this is a fast-paced, throw you deep into it thriller 😈🥵😏

Friends Like These is a book you will just burn through. It’s the story of six friends from college who share a pitch black secret. Ten years on, one friend is gone, another is about to be lost to drugs, and what’s left of this group decides to escape to the Catskills to try and save their friend from falling off the deep end. But when the quintet ends up in the Catskills, it’s inevitable that old secrets bubble to the surface. And this group doesn’t have just old memories to haunt them: New relationships, new money problems, and new indiscretions all threaten to split the group apart forever. Well, for the ones who make it out of the weekend alive.

@KimberlyMcCreight knows how to write a gripping thriller, and she’s done it again with this one! It’s the small town vs. the big city in this story, with a cast of characters not unlike The Guest List who are pretty on the outside, ugly on the inside, and just bursting with secrets throughout the novel. Friends Like These is a book that will definitely make you question the questionable folks in your life, and make you wonder which friendships you need to just let go of (or keep closer!) Despite being a quick read, it’s got a bigggg cast of characters to follow, so those who like a puzzle-element to their thrillers, to the front please! Has anyone else read this one? Let’s talk about the ending! 🤯
