Thank you for the joy and the terror and the laughter and the shouting and the confusion and the worry and the tears and the smiles. Thank you for the years of sleepless nights, the melted crayons and the missed curfews. For the slammed doors and the ferocious hugs and the forgiveness. For the chaos and the purpose. For the mess. And the honesty.

Thank you for teaching me how to accept uncertainty and to hold out hope. For letting me see the world differently through your eyes, and for your accepting me and the ways I am sometimes different from other mothers. Every day I learn so much from both of you. And loving you has changed the fabric of who I am—so much for the better. It’s a gift to know you and an honor to be your mother. I love you both, to the dinosaurs and back. ❤️ Now, please stop getting taller.
