Is it healthy to have regrets?

“Regret clouds his eyes. His cheeks become tense as he clenches his teeth together tightly. “I shouldn’t have agreed to help you.” He wanders away with his shoulders hunched. I jog to catch up.

Do some authors crowd the market or give aspiring writers inspiration?

A blog article by Lynn Shepherd was brought to my attention via Facebook this morning. It was titled: If JK Rowling Cares About Writing, She Should Stop Doing It.Unsurprisingly, most of the Facebook comments I saw were livid about the content of the article, labeling it ‘sour grapes’.

What writers do

I'm starting a video series over on YouTube about my writing process. The first video is an introduction to the series, explaining why I'm doing. So, if you want to learn more about how I come up with ideas, write the first draft, my editing process and more, subscribe to my YouTube channel so you won't miss any of the videos.

Does fear kill creativity?

I've never blogged about teaching before, but an article my dad sent me left me quite enraged. I've given myself a couple of days to think about it (and calm down) before making the decision to blog on the topic.

Encouraging children to read

In the UK, the government wants schools to teach children to read using a phonics system. As part of this, they have approved certain sets of phonics books that schools can use to teach children. My daughter has been at school for almost half a year (which is pretty scary).

Weekend Writing Warriors

I haven't done Weekend Writing Warriors in quite a while, apologies for that. I'm hoping to get back to it, mainly because I miss reading all the other fantastic snippets. It's a great way of discovering new authors and new books to read.

Looking forward to Hidden: Book 3

Book 2 might have only just been released this past Friday (and what a fantastic release day it was), but I’m steadily working towards the end of the Hidden tetralogy. My first step is completing the second draft of book 3, before I send it off to my content editor later this month.

Thank you

I'm celebrating Broken Bargain (Hidden: Book 2) hitting the top of 2 UK Kindle charts on release day, by holding a raffle.I know, I know, I told you I’d hold a giveaway. Let’s talk semantics for a moment: A giveaway has to have a free entry, otherwise it’s not a giveaway.

Release day: Broken Bargain (Hidden: Book 2)

I apologise in advance, because this is likely to turn into a shameless self promotion post.Scratch that, I DON'T apologise. It's release day for my third novel. I'm allowed to shout it from the rooftops, right? Right.
