rubber ducks
Hmm! I don’t actually have anything in particular to say about rubber ducks! Sadly, they haven’t played a huge role in my life! So far, at least. I suppose that could always change. However, I adore real ducks. :) Once when I was having a bad day, my mom made me get in the car and wouldn’t say where we were going. I was in my mid-twenties or so, I think. It turned out that it was to feed some ducks in a pond somewhere, and it totally did cheer me up. :)

Oooh, he’s all tanned and pretty :)
music!
This could be a very long answer, haha. The short version that’s most applicable to me/my life is that my first career was as an opera singer. For many reasons, I decided to do something else. Mostly I didn’t like the lifestyle of being on the road all the time. Before I signed my current lease in 2013, I hadn’t signed one since 2001 because I was just always moving. I wanted to put some roots down. And, while the career was on track, I also wanted to do something a little more relaxed. So I moved yet again and became an ESL prof for adults who speak French, specifically. I still sing and I also conduct a choir and teach voice lessons, so I still have music in my life. And I’m much, much happier than I used to be. :)

have you ever been sexually attracted to a voice
Short answer: yes
Applesauce
Haha, nice one! I dislike applesauce. I don’t hate it, but I don’t like it, either. It makes me think of babies. Or worse, pictures of babies with food all over their faces, aka one of my pet peeves. (Babies, fine. If I must look at a picture of a baby, so be it. But why, WHY with food all over it?? So. Gross.)
Hair
So, all my life, I’ve struggled to make my hair be straight. The day I bought a straightener was a glorious one, back when they used to be like $400 and get way too hot. :P But then I moved to a much more humid area of the continent and thought, you know what, fuck it. If it wants to be curly so badly, I’ll just let it be curly. So now I do: I just shower, put in some help-your-hair-be-curly product and go. It’s long, dark golden blond, verging on light brown in the winter, and wild, lol. One day an old woman at the bus stop told me that it was “like a glorious lion’s mane”, in French. I lolled and said thank you. And that’s my hair. Also: a good life lesson. :P
JOHN!
Something about myself related to John? :P Okay, let’s see… I love John. He makes me wants to beat him about the head sometimes, like during most of series 3, but I adore him. He’s complicated, and full of contrasts. Strong/suffers from trauma. Stubborn/often very willing to humour (at least Sherlock!). Fierce/tender-eyed. He’s competent and skilled and emotionally repressed (in my reading) and while I always say that my heart lives more in writing Sherlock than in writing John, some of my favourites of my own stories are John POVs. Vena Cava. At the Heart of it All. My most recent, Scars. I love John.
So I talked more about John than about me, but that still counts, right? :P
