Whatever you do don’t think of Sherlock during The Two Years....
Whatever you do don’t think of Sherlock during The Two Years. Don’t think of him fighting and killing and ripping apart a terrorist network for John. Don’t think of him with cuts on his face and bruised ribs and sore knuckles and an aching heart. Don’t think of all the times he just wanted to go home.
Don’t think of all the times he wrote a letter and never sent it. Don’t think of the nights where he gave himself five seconds to feel. Five seconds to feel an ocean of pain and longing. Please don’t think about the excitement he felt on the ride home.
Don’t think of how with every heart beat he thought “I get to tell him.” How he thought it would go. Of him running into his John’s arms. Of how he thought it’d be so perfect. Especially don’t think of how much it hurt when John was so mad. How much it hurt when John said the one thing that Sherlock thought he’d never say. “Fuck off.” How much it hurt when he realized that maybe John wasn’t like everyone else Before, but he sure as hell is now.
Don’t think of Sherlock realizing that the only way he was going to be able to see his best friend and love of his life would be to help plan his wedding. Just don’t.

Do you use the regular tiny couscous or the larger Israeli pearl couscous? I prefer the Israeli–much easier to keep from rolling all over the kitchen and table.
I’m only just becoming aware of the existence of Israeli couscous! I suspect I would quite like it! I like… okay, this definitely sounds weird once put into words, but - I like that size of thing in my mouth, lol.

So, I’ve never adored couscous, but when I realised how little time it takes to make, I decided to start trying to eat it more often. I prefer it in salad form and one of my local grocery stores makes a good one with orange and cranberry that I’ve been trying to emulate. However, tonight I decided to experiment a bit, making my lunch for work tomorrow, and I accidentally invented this super delicious thing! Here’s how it goes:
½ cup couscous (add boiling water, stir, cover & let sit for 5 minutes, plus I added 1 tsp of concentrated chicken stock, and once it had fluffed out, I drizzled in a bit of sesame oilpan-grilled whole almonds
dried cranberries
a bit (single ring) of finely minced onion
I sampled it as I was putting it into a container and it’s so good!! I love being pre-excited for lunch tomorrow, lol!

John finds this statement truly hilarious, given the exceeding amount of value Sherlock was evidenced to have put on sex just last night…
