I need to put a lot of fanfic on my ereader to read over my plane flights tomorrow-what should i read? The longer the better! Pls rec your favourite x00,000 word fics to this gal who reads about 200 pages an hour ok ok like i need help here. I’m going to run out of things to read on the plane and drive Mr. Apis crazy.
Hi lovely! Sorry it’s taken me ages. Have you read ‘A Ritual to Read to Each Other’ by @weeesi ? It’s up to nearly 70,000 words and is absolutely fabulous. The writing is just *happy cries*
Also, loads of fics by @silentauroriamthereal (SilentAuror on AO3) – I particularly love the recent ‘The Unfinished Letters’ and 'Flesh and Blood and Bone and Heart’. 'The Legacy of Martha J. Hudson’ destroyed me and is beautiful.
Also I recently read 'The Ground Beneath Your Feet’ by Chryse, which was just…amazing. Definitely heed the tags, but it will break you and then make you beyond happy.
Sure you’ve read all these anyway, but those are the longest ones I can recommend off the top of my head

When a handful of Westboro Baptist Church members showed up Saturday at the funeral of Orlando shooting victim Christopher Leinonen, counterprotesters donning large, white angel wings were there to shield mourners. Members of the Orlando Shakespeare Theater put together the wings as a symbolic but also literal screen between the WBC and funeral attendees. An Orlando Police tweet later proved the efforts to stop the WBC worked.

Can you tell more about the novel? Is it fan fic?
It’s not fanfic, no, it’s a regular novel that I’m hoping to get published sometime. According to the very thick book the incredible @dduane suggested I buy, I believe it’s a literary thriller. It’s loosely based on my fanfic Against the Rest of the World, but diverges significantly. The common practise with fics-turned-publishable is to straightwash the major relationship, aka take your slash ship and make it a het couple. I’m opposed to this practise and am not doing that. It’s a thriller first, with a gay romantic subplot. As with ATROTW, it starts with one character in London and the other in the field, taking down terrorist groups. My MI6 agent travels; the other character stays in London. The agent starts out as a captive in Turkey, travels through Cyprus, Germany, The UAE, Scotland, and later in the book, Yemen. I don’t want to give everything away! I mean, who knows if anyone will even want to publish it, but here’s hoping, right? And if it does get published, I’ll be very sure to tell you all! :)

Hardly that! But I’m pleased that it’s rolling along again! I’m hoping to get it done by the end of summer! :)
