Oh HEY, look at this!! My fic Isosceles just reached 20,000 hits today!! Super exciting! :))) This is my one and only love triangle story (hence the title and such!), wherein John Watson well and TRULY paints himself into a corner after a very hot, very famous celebrity asks Sherlock out. Spoiler, it all works out as it should in the end, and I still have vague thoughts about writing a sequel at some point. In the meantime, thank you so much to any of you who have read this one and liked it! This is the 34th of my 89 currently posted fics to attain this milestone, so that’s super cool! I love this! Instead of demanding hugs from kids or guilt-tripping them over it, let them choose! With my nieces, I like to ask, “Can I give you a hug?” rather than even phrasing it about what I want (“can I have a hug?”). And if they say no that time, I accept it without batting an eyelash and move on. It makes me CRINGE to see adults demanding physical affection from kids, or even demanding that they give other adults their affection (“go give your auntie a hug!”), or making them feel badly about it (“Now Grandpa is crying!”). Kids don’t owe us their affection any more than women owe men physicality of any kind. Oh, and have I mentioned how much more often this happens with female kids, too???
