Thor 4 Directed by Taika Waititi Has Been Pitched, Says Tessa Thompson

I heard that a pitch has happened for [another “Thor” film]. I don’t know how real that intel is, but I hear that the pitch has happened. I think the idea is Taika [Waititi, who directed ‘Ragnarok’] would come back,“ she said. -Tessa Thompson

THOUR FOUR: MORE THOR

whothefuckisnele:

People are spending so much time watching movies, writing about fandom stuff oe doing research on an actor because they’re missing the adventure in their own life. When it feels too boring they just escape in a world which is more exciting.

So being in a fandom mostly isn’t because it’s chill and much easier than going out but because real life is quite boring.

For me, being in a fandom, watching a movie or interviews with actors is the opportunity of living a different, exciting life.

Yes, but I have notes. Specifically: it’s perfectly possible to have an enjoyable, exciting life and ALSO enjoy fandom/fanwork for these additional reasons. It’s not a given that people who engage in fandom, as either creator or participant, are looking for escapism because their own lives are dull. I mean, people world over watch movies/tv, read books, play video games, etc, for a number of reasons, and one of those might be to escape their own, boring lives. But that doesn’t go without saying. I see these things as enhancement, rather than substitution. Just a thought.
