Yes. I hated that episode for that reason. How disrespectful to the Fab Five and also how, f**ked up that the guys had to hear that again when they watched his dinner video.

Right?!! I hate that shit! There’s just something about the way he and guys like him say “five gay guys!” in this tone of “holy shit, lolll!! They’re GAY!” Back near the beginning of the show, I occasionally used to catch myself almost wincing when Jonathan would be extra, extra camp, sort of thinking, ooof, that is not going to make the straights any more comfortable around you, and then I realized how gross my own thought was. Now I live for Jonathan actively trying to make guys like Matt the farmer uncomfortable with his gorgeous nails and heels and twerking. Karamo was great for that in this past episode, too! Make them squirm, you beautiful, patient, kind-hearted people!!!!

GOOD PEOPLES OF MY READERSHIP, I AM FINALLY ABOUT TO EMBARK ON THE LAST SCENE OF THIS FIC THAT WON’T END!!!!!!!!!! It’s at 88,300 words and STILL GOING OMG! But this last scene coming up is officially THE last scene, so you can definitely expect to start getting chapter droppage in the next few days!! 

My big plan is to drop one Part at a time. Each Part is about three chapters long. I will post a Part about every three days, which means that if you want to read one chapter per day, you should be able to do so steadily until the entire thing has been posted. Or you can just wait until it’s all there and then read all of it in one go. But I will not start posting it until the entire fic has been written, even if the last couple of chapters haven’t been fully edited. :)

Thank you all for being so patient with me during these busy af few months that I’ve had!!!!! I promise, you WILL get a fic from me very soon!!!!!

At the risk of making myself sound like a complete and total crank, I just have a brief rant: 

Most of the straight men that have been featured on Queer Eye have been pretty amazing, open-minded and willing to make a change, most of which has basically involved them growing up and learning how to do stuff like adults, and that’s great. I just watched the episode in season 4 with Matt the farmer and was irked by the sheer number of times he had to say something about spending a week with five gay men. I get it: it’s a new experience for you. How about you stop boggling at this crazy notion that gay men are also just regular people. I’m so tired of having to be patient with people like this - and don’t get me wrong; Matt the farmer seems like a more or less pleasant dude. But I’m tired of waiting for people like him to catch up. Fucking EVOLVE, dude! This show and these five incredible humans have spent so much money on you, your house, your LIFE, and you just can’t get past the notion that you not only were open-minded enough to have five gay men in your house at all, but that it wasn’t completely fucking terrible. I just can’t.

I didn’t photograph it with my phone. I didn’t google recipes for chicken breast. I didn’t even *think* about air-chilled chicken breast at any point after I chucked the package in my freezer upon getting home. 

And yet just now, six hours later, I just saw three fucking ads for air-chilled chicken breast on my facebook feed.
