nocaseon just tagged me in a thing, and it’s a thing I’ve done before, but I liked it, so I’ll do it again!

One song: Thief by Imagine Dragons

Two movies: I’m trying to think of different ones than last time, which were Dead Poets Society and The Shawshank Redemption, so: Elizabeth and Being Julia, which is a hardly-known movie and which you should all go and watch right now. It’s so good!

Three shows: Probably repeating myself here, but what can you do: Sherlock, Game of Thrones, Broadchurch

Four people: Benedict Cumberbatch, Ralph Fiennes, Cate Blanchett, Allan Leech.

Five foods: sushi, shish taouk, pizza, rotisserie chicken, freshly-baked bread

Six people to tag: yaycoffee, lunadax, addictedstilltheaddict, notidiotproofed, thegreatgherkin87, cantpronounce

When you write you always make the characters in character, it's amazing. I adore reading your work. :)

Thank you so much for this! I’m so, so glad that the way I see/write the characters works for you! Characterisation is sort of both objective and subjective, as I see it - one person’s IC is another person’s OOC. I’m really happy that my version of them, which I do genuinely try to keep as close to canon as possible, while imposing non-canonical circumstances (or potential futures) on them, works for you. Thanks so much for coming and telling me this! Made my day!

I was always rather relieved that he said “you keep me right”, rather than the more traditional “you keep me straight”. :P

Look at this handsome little shit. He looks like he’s about to go out on stage and say something inappropriate.

if you ever feel bad about yourself, just remember that one time i had to fly with my cello so we bought it a seat

and it got upgraded to first class

without me

All cellists have to buy their cellos seats on planes, which sucks - that’s not funny at all. But the upgrading thing - HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

God, he’s so beautiful. If there were a petition to oblige him to keep his hair this way at all times, I would sign it, is all I’m saying.

Steven Moffat (x)

… Really? The days where Mary shoots Sherlock are “golden”? Maybe he’s just talking about the part leading up to that. Maybe he’s forgotten how that they wrote Sherlock leaving the wedding early and referring to dressing for it as going into battle. Maybe he’s forgotten Sherlock’s literal hand-wringing as John tried to tell him that his marriage wouldn’t change anything between them. Golden for John and Mary, maybe… It’s a good interview and I like this man (though the Doctor Who crossover thing still makes me want to shake his teeth out - NO!) and I like the way he defends fanwork (even at the cost of defending 50 Shades, ugh), but yeah. This part was not my favourite.

Ooooh do we get a hit of what it’s about?

Only a small bit: it’s a slow-build romance. :)
