Hong Kong Returns

Always enjoyed history and factor many things from it into my books. So I thought it would be fun to do a history week. Yes, you can find them elsewhere, but I am still going to post them. Also figured this week will be slow do to holidays. So here you are.

This Day in History:

Hong Kong returned to China - 1997

The first Pg-13 rating debuts - 1984

Canada's Independence Day - 1867

The last Ford Thunderbird was produced - 2005

The first Sony Walkman went on sale - 1979

Any of these ring a bell?

Contest Update

After many months there have been quite a few guesses as to who is the Holy Ghost Writer, but none have hit the mark so far. With my 4th book coming out next week, I figured it was time for a little promotion this week. In case you haven't seen the contest video yet.

Yet One More

Infatuated, half through conceit, half through love of my art, I achieve the impossible working as no one else ever works.

It is almost as difficult to keep a first class person in a fourth class job, as it is to keep a fourth class person in a first class job.

He was thinking alone, and seriously racking his brain to find a direction for this single force four times multiplied, with which he did not doubt, as with the lever for which Archimedes sought, they should succeed in moving the world, when some one tapped gently at his door.

Nothing succeeds like success.

All generalizations are dangerous, even this one.

Neuschwanstein Castle

Now this is a castle. Neuschwanstein Castle is found in Germany and has often been labeled the castle from Disney's Sleeping Beauty. By the sight of it it can surely fit any Disney movie, looks almost magical itself. Mad King Ludwig began constructing it in the early 1800's. It was planned as a homage to the grand operas of Wagner.

Robocop

Earlier I read an article about how some are theorizing Robocop may soon be less sci-fi and more real world. If so the future of crime may not pay. Unless of course they get their own suit or robo bad guy. Then everyone caught in the middle will pay the price. What do you think, possible?

Bees

There is a popular theory that once the bees go,we go. And with bees dropping off in huge numbers, if true, our days may be numbered. It make sense as you take on thing out of nature and it screws up everything. I'm sure life will go on in some way, but it may not be a life like we live today. What do you think, do our lives depend on the bees?
