Darkness

Here is a poem I wrote for a character in an upcoming book

As the darkness sets into reality

The fear rises

The heartbeat quickens

The fear rises

As his eyes come into view

With the uneasiness of the unknown

My chest feels hollow

As his eyes come into view

The nightmare begins

My chest feels hollow

Trying to feel nothing

The nightmare begins

As the day ends

Trying to feel nothing

As his hands come forward

As the day ends

I try to find some hope to cling to

The Way I See it

The way I see it is that we should all be looking for ways to help others. Those that have known me know that I want to make a difference in someone’s life. Another thing that I always wanted was to see my name printed on a book. It is a cool feeling to see my name as the author.

I see being an author as just a way to get words and feelings out. Those that know me know that I’m not really one for the limelight. So for me being an author isn’t about fame or fortune. I just want to get things ou...

Fall Time…..

I love fall. The weather is just right. Most people like going outside during the summer but I would rather be outside when it isn’t too hot or too cold. Fall time just puts me in a good mood. :)

For those that know me or have known me for a while know that I have always wanted to find ways to help others. A big passion is children. I taught first grade Sunday school for 10 years, helped with VBS for several years.

It may sound like a cliché but if we know that children are the future, that they...

Left Behind Series: Kids Edition

Years ago I started reading the adult series of Left Behind. I didn’t finish but I do want to go back to the begining of those and finish the series. Last year I decided to start in on the kids series. I was really happy that they had taken the series and did it for kids to show what they would go through and feel.

The next time I go the library I will have to get some more of them. I’m up to beook 21. The kids series has 40.

The kids series follows Judd Thompson, Vicki Byrne, Ryan Daley and Li...

Written to our Hearts

I have struggled to start this blog. It has felt like something I needed to do. But when I sit down to start writing something I get doubtful. I start thinking what could be the right words to say? What words would make a difference to someone? Who am I?

Today I sat down determined to start and what happened those questions came back. Then I thought of when God talked to Moses through the burning bush. Moses doubted himself. He thought that God had picked the wrong person. That he wouldn’t hav...
