Review on La Bella e il Cavaliere!
"I really wanted this book so much, but when I got home, I started to look at him with suspicion and months have passed, while other novels piled up in the stack to be read first. And do you know how that turned out when I decided to read it? I've insulted myself. Yes, because the prologue was sufficient not only to deny me, but to excited me, and I will tell you, is something of which I have learned to have almost fear: to the last page, I was expecting the slip and I was afraid that somehow I would be disappointed.
Instead, my reading is continued without a hitch (not taking into account the exams), and page after page, I went into the Kingdom of Penthànweald, discovering three of extraordinary Lands that compose it and loving more and more the protagonists.
Many years ago, Penthànweald - our Great Land - was inhabited by humans. There were no Lands, everything was one. Eight cities stood; eight, as the Gods of Penthànweald. They had decided to live among the people, but they were forced to return to their Kingdom after an extended period of stay in the Great Land. So they decided to transfer, through magic, their respective Kingdoms in the cities where they lived. But Penthànweald was not born to the Gods and can not accommodate more than a Kingdom. So it was that the Gods met to decide who would be established on Penthànweald.
This was a source of discord and from the flames of the Underworld was born a Goddess. She was so powerful and feared by the other deities that, to protect her, the Underworld abandoned her on Penthànweald. The Queen of the Underworld is the disturbing Morwen, who has yet to become a Goddess when she saved the life of Kamria, Princess of Thera, and sister of the beautiful Galadir.
I bet reading Morwen and beautiful Galadir, you have figured out the suspicion and hostility between the two will change very soon, but not without reason, in a deep and almost scary love. Their mutual dependence, however, is never cloying and passion will not arrive unexpectedly, burning stages. In fact, I waited it almost shivering and I was able to enjoy the transformation of their feelings without logical leaps.
The meeting between Morwen and Galadir could be an isolated incident, but that the King Ashiwar needs the help of lethal Queen: the Goddess Lash wants the Land of Men and to stop her they need to retrieve her Five Crystals, but there's not why Morwen has to comply with the request of the King of Thera. The affairs of Men and Gods don't concern her. Although, as intuirete, something will change her mind and, in the company of Galadir, she'll start looking for the Crystals.
Careless and ruthless, Morwen is unconventional heroine. It is true that we have become accustomed to the topic of the dangerous, beautiful and deadly hero, but to begin we have a declination in the female (and this should be in my opinion sufficient cause for celebration), and a characterization of a complex, multifaceted character. And do not think that love causes a turnaround that will make her a pure and innocent creature. Oh, no! We are far from this: Morwen, on the contrary, is cruel and determined and, if deemed an appropriate, do not hesitate to shed blood and death.
However, the feelings for Galadir, that make her vulnerable (we'll find out to what extent), approach her to the reader by giving her a psychological depth that is unmatched in the book, although each character is well characterized and has a own past.
Morwen is accompanied and protected by Hurrichein, Lord of the Underworld and mighty Winged Horse. It never happened to find a similar customization of an animal, even if using this term seems almost an insult to Hurrichein. The Lord of the Underworld occupies a leading role, becoming an active protagonist in dialogues and battles.
As I said, each character has his own history and, above all, his dark secrets. The characters which Morwen and Galadir should beware are many, but have not yet shown in all their potential danger, despite the conclusion that almost tore me a scream of frustration at the lack of result.
The Queen of the Underworld is a saga, so do not expect 'the end': you will find, however, a suspension of the narrative almost cinematic. I'm terrified of give you spoilers for which I will try to restrain myself and I will not reveal anything else. Is it right for you to discover Penthànweald yourself just like I did.
I really enjoyed Chiara's style, rich of descriptions and adjectives, almost redundant. The mistakes are minimal and negligible in the light of a social structure, cultural and even historical, treated in detail. The third person of the narrator gives way to direct thoughts of the characters, with the advantages of not make difficult the reading and to lighten it, often snatching a smile and enabling effective identification.
I'm really glad I finally read The awakening of the Fire, and I regret not having done it sooner because Clare is an excellent representative of the Italian paranormal romance and her novel has achieved a good result.
And now the fateful question: the sequel? It will be titled Deadly Imprisonment, but we will have to wait a little (autumn-winter 2013). In the meantime I'll read Tasting the Fire, an erotic short story taken from the first volume of the series."
Review on Beira's Heart!
"'Tasting the fire', erotic short story of an Italian emerging author, Chiara Cilli, tells an episode never told of Morwen and Galadir, in the book 'The awakening of the Fire'. She's the Queen of the Underworld, he's the Prince of Thera. The attraction between the two is obvious and burns them with the sweeter fire, but Morwen knows that this can lead to the destruction of both: her bloodlust and her hungry of flesh can kill Galadir without him even noticing. The Prince, on the other hand, is not at all worried: he knows without a shadow of a doubt that the Heir to the throne of the Underworld won't hurt him spontaneously.
Likely he has confidence for both. He has it so much to provoke the woman, offering as her 'meal'; the response he receives in return, rejection, was the only answer he wanted, but he had also planned. Despite the confidence of man, however, Morwen is concerned to hurt him and she's also surprised by behavior so confident of Galadir: the latter is aware of her true nature, but despite this, he loves her with every fiber of his body.
I've always enjoyed the erotic genre. I think the people who write about this should also have the ability to describe the sex without falling into the 'vulgarity Free' (thing that I have found in international authors with great regret). The Cilli has been able to create a story full of eroticism clearly defined. The pace is relentless and exciting for most pages. I have found the lenguages used in this story without a doubt fascinating, never a word repeated, indeed. The Cilli is able to use a sophisticated language, without sounding cloying. All pages transport us into the carnal and confused world of the two lovers, who can not literally be separated.
Sore point? I found some of the dialogue rather banal: from the first pages Morwen is concerned that her nature can somehow endanger the life of her lover, because then repeat this step after the sexual intercourses? The reader understands the anguish of the woman so why remind him, when it was explained in a comprehensive way right now? I remember that it is a story, as a consequence, to read and study these two characters very interesting (for those who have not already done so) suggest you read 'The Queen of the Underworld'.
Reading that I recommend to all lovers of the erotic genre. A pleasant surprise that makes me want to read other books by this author."

Tasting the Fire: review on Il Mercatino dei Libri Fantasy!
"Fire of erotic passion, but also fire the curse that Morwen, the protagonist, takes on her skin as a legacy of her descendants as Heir to the Underworld. The only one ready to take the risk, stronger thanks to his love for her, is Galadir, Prince and human. The story tells about their first time, but over the journey of discovery of carnal pleasure, we follow the much more difficult journey of Morwen to believe that someone could love her despite what she is, to trust that Galadir really wants her, and he does to great lengths to prove it, even at the risk to remain burned by the her diabolical skin. Short and engaging slice of life, suggests a great unspoken of the characters, leaving the reader to have to put together the details around the story..."

First review for Tasting the Fire on Vivere in un Libro!
"Beautiful. Although it was only a story of a few pages it managed to move me. If you've read The awakening of Fire you can not miss the unbridled night of Morwen and Galadir. There is love, passion and danger. Really beautiful... Chiara was able to describe those moments of burning transportation without falling into vulgarity. And then Galadir... oh God... Morwen is very beautiful and sensual, it was understood since from the first book, but I really did not expected that the Prince, between arrogance and love for his Queen, was so intense! Great job, Chiara! I look forward to reading the second book in this series, which continues to be pleasantly surprising!"

Tasting the Fire is out!

TASTING THE FIRE
A tale of The awakening of the Fire
January 2013
In search of the five Crystals, with which they'll be able to kill the Goddess Lash who's threatening the Land of Men, Morwen and Galadir arrived in the Kingdom of the Winged Horses. Tempted by the attraction that darts between them, they surrender to lust, knowing the risks and consequences that would result from their union. Because Morwen is the Heir to the throne of the Underworld, her beauty exudes death and it's devastating, 'cause she was conceived by the fire to become the Goddess of the Gods. However, Galadir loves her like no one has ever done and will do and he's willing to endure the intense heat of her skin, in order to possess the body and the heart of the one who can kill with a glance. But if Galadir is determined to prove to be the only one able to touch her and not burn, Morwen is equally determined not to lose control, because it would be enough a drop of his blood to awaken the fire in her and mark the fate of the Prince of Thera.

Interview on Un buon libro non finisce mai
Hi, Chiara. Thank you for sending me the novel and sorry for the late. Talk to us about you and your life.
Hi, Ezio, and thank you for accepting to review my debut novel and for inviting me as your guest. Hi to all the followers! My name is Chiara, I'm 21 and I live in Pescara. I practiced riding at a competitive level for ten years and I'm a beautician specializing, but I'm currently full-time writer. I love reading, listening to music and watching movies, from which I get a lot of inspiration.
What means writing to you? A book?
Writing is my life. I write to be happy and if I couldn't do it ... it would be like to tear my soul and letting me live out for pure cruelty, empty, destroyed. It happened that the life that I was taking didn't have space for writing, and I had an emotional breakdown of biblical proportions. Even today, if by chance I can't get to the computer during the day, I'm irritable and I feel incomplete. A book is everything to me, helps me to keep going, gives me life experiences that will never happen to me. A book is my private dream, my world.
There are different literary kind: why did you choose the fantasy?
Because I was under the influence of Christopher Paolini and his Eragon. I was fascinated by these fantasy worlds, magic and the creatures that lived in those lands. Even as a child I was attracted from mythology, and I think that falling into the trap of fantasy has been inevitable for a dreamer like me.
Talk to us about you romance and about the series that we are waiting for.
It's the story of Morwen, Heir to the throne of the Underworld, generated by the flames of this Kingdom to dominate everything and everyone. She's destined to become the Goddess of the Gods, and to prevent this from happening, the Gods of Penthànweald (the imaginary world in which the story develops) instructed their Protègès (people with some of the power of their respective God) to find her and kill her. Still undecided whether to take the throne or not, Morwen is forced to hide in the Land of Men with Hurrichein, her Black Winged Horse and Lord of the Underworld. It's here that she meets the man who is destined to change her life forever: Prince Galadir.
I won't go into detail to not run into any spoilers without even realizing it, but I can say that in the next books will be a series of events that will bring closer that dark past from which Morwen is trying to escape. Those who have so far been in the dark will make their entry into the field and the battles will be bloody and bloody. The drama is like a shadow that follows the protagonists and nothing will ever be easy. The passion will always be accompanied by pain and when the fire seems to have turned off, then everything will falling apart... or maybe not.
Morwen: where did you get the inspiration? How did you create her?
Morwen stems from my absolute love for the dark side of a character. I wanted a character different from the others, strong, cruel, that men looked with terror and lust at the same time. For her, I was inspired by a woman who I worship since I was a child, Milla Jovovich: I saw her for the first time in the film The Fifth Element and I was bowled over, much to choose her as the face for my Morwen. Looking at her, I can see my character come to life, because (it seems absurd, I know) for me Milla plays Morwen also off the big screen. I can't help it, for me she's her!
Pretending to be able to converse with one of the characters, who would you choose and what would you say to him?
This is easy! I'd choose Galadir. The arrogant Prince cutest and breathtaking of all Penthànweald. I would say that without him I wouldn't have ever made it, and neither Morwen. He is the pillar of the whole story. I would say that I'm sorry (he knows for what) but it was necessary to bring him into the scene (he knows who). I would thank him infinitely for all the times that made me die of laughter and was able to make smiling even Morwen. I would tell him not to complain too much, because 'the brat' (he knows who I mean) has chosen to remain where he is, so no more interruptions in the best moments. And finally, I would say to him that it's him, ever since the beginning it's always been him.
Tell us about the iter to write a novel.
Well, I can talk about my iter, because I think every writer has a different modus operandi. Mine is to take a notebook and writing: the series title, the title of the first book, list of characters and list of the faces that will inspire me, list of locations, plot and timeline. The latter is the most difficult to write, because you must already have in mind everything that will happen and bring it back on the paper, and then develop the various points. For speech is quite another matter: for example, I speak alone to hear how the words sound, and when there is someone at home thinks I'm crazy! And the fight scenes? I stand in the living room and I try to perform the choreography of the character, is really fun (this, however, I only do it when I'm alone in the house!). Or you can go off the cuff, as I'm doing with one of the novels I'm writing, not knowing where it will end. The choice is yours!
What about the next book?
The entire series of The Queen of the Underworld has been completed for a long time, as well as the series sequel. The sequel to this book will be titled Deadly Imprisonment. We are still working with the editor, but we hope to be able to publish it before Christmas. Are you ready for Deshre?

Review on Un buon libro non finisce mai
An unexpected fantasy, with characters outside of the ordinary, a story which combines intrigue, love, hope, choices and walks of life, of death, of fire which burns and burns.
With a simple writing but not at all boring, we immerse ourselves in the land of Penthànweald, once Great Land divided in eight cities dominated by eight different Gods, that because of their arrogance, their disproportionate power, their quarrels, begot Morwen, the Queen of the Underworld, the one who could dominate everything and everyone and take upon herself the absolute power. A different kind of heroine, not inclined to Good but ruthless and cynical, insensitive and cruel, with a shell that does not seem can be scratched. But love is always there, we are helpless in the face of feelings, we do not have defenses, we are naked and vulnerable: will be the proximity of the young Prince Galadir to bring up conflicting elements of her multi-faceted personality. Mature love, not childish, that borns and captures, that will make feel strong feelings of the two characters, engaged in research of the Five Crystals, essential to destroy Lash, Goddess of the Crystals. Thus began a journey varied for the two main characters, full of pitfalls and dangers, of Protègè of the Gods who have been contracted to kill the only one woman who may end them.
Enchanted places, fantastic creatures have continued over the plot well studied and opens many questions unanswered, which ends with twists that make us look forward to the second book. An easy read, fresh yet appealing.
Galadir couldn't hold on. He wanted to watch her, feeling her pink diamonds upon himself. And so he capitulated. Morwen was so beautiful, her back was so sensual. Thinking that he couldn't burn anymore touching her skin, made him insane."
