I wasn’t certain whether a story about a female rabbit shifter (Gabby) could cut the proverbial mustard in what is basically a wolf-shifter/biker series, but in short order the series is connected back to the entire Kirsten O’Shea Universe and all the supernatural characters within, and it begins to make sense. Of course, Horse is something of an anomaly to the RTMC story line as well, for while he is a card carrying member of the RTMC he is not a Wolf, but a Grizzly with a Club name that fits neither the shifter within or has little to do with his work ethic!
One would think it difficult to combine the two in a successful relationship, but Gabby come out of her warren gradually over the course of events and matures into some surprising powers…particularly surprising to the powers that be. Combined in spirit with Horse, they together attract the attention of the Supernatural Concilio, and while not yet known for certain, its likely they also attract the unwelcome attention of whatever evil forces are gathering, as potential threat in a coming conflict in the overall series.
In addition to the main characters of this story, each new book brings some new insight into many of the characters whose stories we have already read, but most particularly, to the most powerful – the Alphas of each of the supernatural races – and because of this, I harkened back to the original book that started it all, “Only Human”. Now, as intended I am sure, I am in a personal guessing game as to what some of the details from prior books actually mean, and even what powerful life form some of the characters actually are. There is a definite build-up of tension as the cataclysm approaches, even though several key characters still need their story.
I must admit I come away from this book with more engagement to the past and future events of the combined series, than I do with Gabby and Horse’s personal journey. I see that they fit the big picture and their relationship furthers a necessary connection between supernatural realms as dangerous times approach, but I don’t have the same visceral connection to these two that I have had so far for other character-pairings in the series. Don’t misunderstand; all the story elements are there and I can see where the backgrounds of Horse and Gabby are important parts of the story foundation, but the two of them as individuals or as a couple, did not resonate with me in the same way others characters did, personally speaking, as I imagined them in this unfolding world.
Notwithstanding that, it is still an exciting chapter in an increasingly tense time for the Supernatural world, and I will spend many hours theorizing and second-guessing who and what comes next…and waiting for their contribution to this engaging world.

Both Caleb and Carlotta had the pleasure of falling in love having the house and kids. Then you guessed it Life happened and they lost their loves and learned a few things about themselves. As where Caleb decided to raise his kids and stay single Carlotta gave love another chance. Gordon was a good man who loved her and cared for her children. So she thought. Gordon turned out to be the kind of guy who keeps us girls single.
Carlottas daughter Kata with the help of Calebs son Hunter get Carlotta out of that horrible situation. That is when Carlotta meets Caleb. Carlotta reluctantly accepts his help in getting her health back. I say reluctantly because Carlotta sees that Caleb is also very dominate and she doesn’t see the difference between him and the jerk she just left.
With the kids and Calebs help Carlotta is back on her feet and living life again. As it turns out Caleb also learned and realizes a few things along the way. This is where the story really begins. Does wisdom come with age and experience? And more importantly – Is passion and love just for the young?

With just two more weeks until Slash Op is released, I’d like to share a peek into the futuristic landscape of my Toy Soldier Series. Slash Op, which is the second book in the series, takes place on Earth at a time when every country has come together to form one union. Major Gideon is a Star Commander for Earth Forces and must face the backlash of years of planetary colonization. Many aliens from colonized planets have taken up residence on Earth, and some rebel alien groups have organized to form an insurgency. As a Star Commander, Major Gideon is charged with fighting the alien insurgency starting with the Dragon District. The Dragon District, which is in Texas, looks like an industrial, post-apocalyptic wasteland and is occupied by dragon shifters from the planet DKS.

For my review of Right One 4 Diesel by Talon P.S. I feel the need to give a little reading history. I had Becoming His Slave the first book in the Dominion of Brothers series in my TBR pile for a while and when I finally picked it up and started reading I had to kick myself, multiple times. This is a fantastic story! I learned my lesson and quickly read the other books available from this series and when another came out I grabbed it up quick. Becoming His Slave set up the series perfectly.
Now we have been given Diesel’s story, Right One 4 Diesel. Which I think is setting up the next part of The Dominion of Brothers Series just as perfectly. We get to see our favorite characters again and get reacquainted. Talon has done a great job continuing the character development you are going to love how some of them have grown. We also have a few new characters that are going to teach the Brothers and us a few things. Seriously keep your eyes on those secondary characters and also keep some tissue handy because you’re going to need them as you get a better look at skill and artistry Talon and Princess use to weave their stories. We also get a closer look at Salientis Du Deliciarum Island Resort. Oh Paris you picked a delightful place to run to. But, if you are going to run from a man who has the title of Patronus, Master of Doms, you probably should have picked a different location. This makes me think you wanted to get caught.
Let me tell you this is one chase you really want to savor. Diesel and Paris, two strong men who know what they want and who they want it with. If only life was that easy. Diesel and Paris come from different worlds not only sexually but also the lives they’ve had and still have. They both work hard and play harder and if it isn’t broke don’t fix it. Life is good, but life also happens and the twists and turns Talon P.S. and Princess S.O. throw at these two will either seal their bond or tear them apart. It is here I need to quote Pyotr Laszkovi
“Sometimes we must make sacrifices for the ones we want to be with. They don’t always have to remain so, but just enough to show we are willing to do so – for them.”
Truer words have never been spoken. I also need to give kudos to Talon; he has done what few authors have. He has given us a one word sentence that will not only make your heart start pounding but will make your imagination soar. The placement, delivery and the fact that Katianna is the deliverer makes it even more perfect. I would tell you the word but then you would miss out on the moment.
Right One 4 Diesel is written so well that there really isn’t a place you can get to and say, yep this is a good place to stop for the night, I know I kept turning the pages well into the night or early morning hours. So make some time because once again the Twins have given us a good size book, 588 pages. I love the characters even when I am thinking WTH! because just like people they have their moments. LOL Like I said earlier I am enjoying learning so much more about these characters. It is just like with friends the longer you know them the more you are allowed in to their hearts and minds. I will let you know this story has a few great plots that give us drama, adventure and some smoking hot sex.
I am so looking forward to the next book in The Dominion of Brothers Series. Talon P.S. and Princess S.O. have delivered another epic story for this series. Some of the “Oh My God” moments in this story show us their sneaky mean author side. But it also shows their heart and dedication to giving their readers a story that will be enjoyed not only the first time they read it but when they pick it up again and again. Well done Talon P.S. and Princess S.O. very well done.

We were taught how our country was started. The lessons our country learned from decisions and actions taken.
Remember everything you were taught and erase it from your mind.
My name is Wood. I’m a white, cotton picking slave. I tasted the freedom for a moment, and it was grand. But as the saying went, ‘Born a slave and you’ll die a slave’. What I wasn’t prepared for was how much my life would change when I was taken to the Heirloom Plantation.
This is my untold story of life before freedom. My life of chains and cotton. When the black people ruled the plantations and the white race picked the cotton. Lawd have mercy.
I feel as though I have just relived a life-altering period as viewed from deep in the rabbit hole, and oddly enough, it almost makes more sense this way. If nothing deeper, Heirloom Plantation is an engaging and often humorous twist on everything we knew, or thought we knew, about slavery and the North-South conflict. More hopefully, it will be taken as a kinder, gentler reminder of an unkind and anything but gentle period in the history of man, wherein several well-placed tweaks at human nature as well as recorded history, will cause thinking people to…well, think.
With an upside-down perspectives of southern slaves, Plantation owners, and politicians alike, several painful decades are explored through individual accountings of life as it was and in so doing, debunks inaccuracies while humanizing the plights of slaves and the huge tolls exacted for all. Rich, colourful characters are brought to life in many ways, though I appreciate the small ways the most. These are the humanizing events; not necessarily the humorous ones, though occasionally so, but the everyday beliefs that crushed the soul of a slave, and those that entitled the slave-owner, without question or insight.
I think sometimes lessons-learned are more effective when liberally dosed with open-minded approaches and a little bit of well-placed, gentle, inoffensive humour. And Mr. Johnson is certainly the Master of that. This kind of view of ourselves and where we have been is the most likely way to ensure we never return there again. At least, one can live in hope.
But seriously: buttermilk?!

The relationship that Gabriel Church and Christian Maxwell shared was based on a period that overshadowed any real emotional bond. If the situation had been normal, Christian might’ve learned that Gabriel used gallows humor far too frequently, or that he had a cruel streak buried under his handsome exterior. As much as they thought they cared for each other, neither looked closely enough at the reasons and the whys regarding the draw each one felt for the other. Chris wanted to learn all he could about the mind of a serial murderer, and Gabe hungrily fed off the man’s undeniable devotion. He’d disregarded the titillation at the time, and later he wrote it off as some type of control, knowing that whatever he had the writer wanted in spades. Christian’s eyes had told the truth, his crystal gaze lapping up the image of the man across the room. It was in some twisted satisfaction that Gabe likened the writer to a puppy, trying desperately to please a stern owner and the clearly visible desire to lick at the stubble on his cheeks.
