New Release: Anything She Wants
Today is my birthday and being able to write this blog post is really all I wanted. I’m serious. Instead of sending me a message or congratulating me, you couldn’t do me a bigger favour than downloading Anything She Wants for FREE. Maybe tell your friends or your lesbian neighbour about it, but really, just downloading it is more than fine for me. I can guarantee you that it’s chockfull of lesbian hotness. Look!

Where I grew up, bookstores didn’t sell lesbian erotica anthologies. It was only in my early twenties, on a trip to Paris, that I stumbled across my first one (Wet: True Lesbian Sex Stories edited by Nicole Foster) in a tiny LGBT bookshop. I haven’t stopped collecting them since. So many years ago, however, I had no idea that one day, I’d be editing my very own anthology. But… here it is.
‘Anything She Wants’ is literally all I want. It’s filled to the brim with hot lesbian tales by some of the best erotica authors out there. It makes me so proud and I’m certain it will be the first of many I edit for Ladylit.
I hope the stories in this book will thrill you as much as they have me. They will take you from the dry heat of the desert to the lush excess taking place in a university dorm room. From the intimacy of quiet living rooms to the loud surroundings of dance clubs. One story even features a Naughty Crochet class, while another results in ‘punk rock bookends’. As diverse as they are in location and characters, all twelve pieces are equally intriguing, enticing and, above all, sizzling hot.

Hump Day Hook: Anything She Wants
Let me warn you before the madness starts. As of today, everything on my blog will revolve around Anything She Wants. 
The official release date is June 7th, but for this week’s Hump Day Hook I’m giving you a sneak peek at my story Alphas (which appears in Anything She Wants.)
“My office in ten?” Robin asks. She towers over the table. I follow the line of her cleavage because it’s impossible not to. It doesn’t give anything away though. Robin is all about suggestion.
“Sure.” At least I’ll have a few minutes to compose myself and check which case we’re meant to crack together.
I shuffle out of the conference room behind Robin and can’t help but inhale a whiff of her perfume. I’ve been trying to figure out which one it is—sniffing endless scented paper sticks at Sephora—but I’m a much better lawyer than I am a detective.
Nine minutes later I knock on her open door.
“Come,” she says, her voice measured and authoritative. She sits behind her desk like a queen on a throne, illuminated by light streaming from giant windows. Robin started at the firm barely a month before I did, but she’s always had a knack for securing things well above her status. My office is spacious and light, but not nearly as big and bright as Robin’s. No matter how hard I try—and sample different dry cleaners—my suits are never as crisp as hers. And my nerve always seems to crumble when I’m within three feet of her.
I sit down in a chair opposite her desk without being invited.
“Would you mind closing the door, please?” Robin’s eyes rest on me, a tight smile tugging at her lips. I know she waited for me to sit so she could ask me to get up again. It’s how alpha females like Robin assert their power—with the small things that get under people’s skin the most.

Hotties: Gillian Anderson
We simply must talk about Gillian Anderson in The Fall. To me, it feels like the nineties all over again, when I fell in TV love with Helen Mirren while watching Prime Suspect. DCI Jane Tennison and DSI Stella Gibson do have quite a lot in common. (Basically, they’re a lot smarter and hotter than all the men in the room.)
I’ve seen four of the five episodes and I’m both eagerly anticipating and dreading the moment I will press play for the last episode. I’ve literally had nightmares about this show, but, oh my, I’ve also had some sweet dreams starring Stella Gibson and those silk blouses she wears. Also, Archie Panjabi plays a small part in The Fall and, instead of lamenting over all the missed opportunities, I’ve been very busy creating sexy scenes between them in my head.
Do yourself a favour, watch The Fall! (Beware though, it’s extremely addictive.)

Hump Day Hook: Fair and Square
This week’s Hump Day Hook picks up exactly where I left things last week with Fair and Square. We’re still on the running track, mid-race, and Sofia is still looking hot…
Sofia was never more beautiful than when she ran—as if she was made for it. Her shoes landed on the track with an elegance so incongruous I simply had to look up that first time I spotted her a few months ago. My gaze had shifted from her toned thighs to the sweat shimmering on the skin of her arms and I had ended up looking straight into the cockiest smile I’d ever seen. Everything about her oozed dominance. From the way she tilted her head when she addressed me, eyes blazing with confidence, to how she untied her shoelaces after a run. As if the miles she’d just put in were nothing but a leisurely stroll in the park.
I rounded the bend and increased my speed, prompted by an urgency to see her face. I ignored the stitches in my side and ran alongside her. She shot me a crooked grin, accompanied by a quick wink. She allowed me to run by her side for a few strides before taking off. I cursed myself for allowing my desire to catch a glimpse of her dark stare, to be with her in the moment, knock me off my game. But I wasn’t ready to throw in the towel just yet. I fixed my eyes on her behind, and pushed images of my flat hand landing on it—leaving the molten gold of her skin flushed a delicate red—out of my mind.
My breathing grew shallower and sweat trickled down my temples. It was neither a case of being unhappy to submit to Sofia, nor a matter of pride. I just knew this was the only way she’d ever let me. Sofia would only willingly surrender if I beat her at the one thing she considered herself unbeatable at.

Q&A: Beatrice Donahue on The Blue Hour
Let me start the intro to this Q&A by admitting that, yes, when it comes to this book, I’m extremely biased. The Blue Hour is published by Ladylit, which I co-own. This means I’ve read it multiple times and, in all honesty, every time I was astounded by its beauty. The language is mesmerising and despite a word count of 13.000 words, so much story is packed into this novelette.
But don’t just take my word for it. Do try it for yourself, as The Blue Hour is free on Amazon for the next few days.

1. Sell us your book in one sentence.
The Blue Hour tells the story of a quiet miracle: how a chance encounter leads to one woman’s awakening, and ultimately sets her free.
2. Favourite line from The Blue Hour
‘As the light beyond the window drops away, the room grows heavy with blue and the fall of petals.’ I’m not sure why I like this line so much, but I feel it encapsulates the feel of my favourite part of the story.
3. Last book that blew you away?
I’ve had The God of Small Things by Arundhati Roy on my bookshelf for an embarrassingly long time. Recently, I finally picked it up, and ended up devouring it in two sittings. The prose is breathtaking; the pictures she paints are so vivid, and it really made me *feel* something.
4. Which celebrity is at number one of your imaginary to-do list?
Sometimes I imagine that French-Chinese actress Mylène Jampanoï knows I exist. Those sometimes are good. I first saw her in the lesbian romance Les Filles du Botaniste and lo, an obsession was born.
5. What’s your favourite sexy song?
It doesn’t get much better than Untitled (How Does It Feel) by D’Angelo. It is simply perfect. I could listen to it every day, forever, and it would still hit me in all the right spots.
6. What are you most proud of?
Easiest question to answer in the world: my family. No contest.
7. Who’s your favourite TV Character?
Conversely I pondered this question for ages, before concluding I don’t watch enough TV any more to answer with any degree of authority. I can’t decide whether I’m cooler or more loserish for this, but there it is… Wait. Hang on. If I’m allowed to take us on a trip back to the olden days when I did watch TV, then I’d like to change my answer: Dana Scully.
8. Which author’s books are a must-read?
Not so much an author as a poet, but Carol-Ann Duffy’s words slay me. I defy you to read the exquisitely beautiful Warming Her Pearls and not swoon. Author-wise, F. Scott Fitzgerald would be near the top of my desert island list.
9. Anything else you want us to know?
That if you have read this far, I’m pathetically grateful (no, really.) And if you have read, or plan to read, my story—well—I’m a gibbering mess of gratitude.
10. What’s next for you?
More writing. More sex. Hopefully not in that order. Currently two separate (and very different) stories are whispering to me at odd hours, and I’m attempting to wrangle both into arial twelve-point. I hope one day I’ll be lucky enough to share them.

Hump Day Hook: Girls Only (Volume Two)
This week’s Hump Day Hook is from a story in my brand new mini-anthology Girls Only (Volume Two). The story is called Fair and Square and is all about a race for top on the running track.
I focussed on the sound of my shoes hitting the track. If I concentrated on Sofia, who ran in front of me as usual, I’d never win this race. It was hard to keep my gaze off of her flexing calf muscles though, and the way her white shorts contrasted with the glistening ochre of her skin. But this was no time to indulge in enticing images. This race was important. This was our own personal fight for top.
I knew she believed she had me already. A force of habit I could hardly blame her for. With her strong, stocky body she always outmanoeuvred me in the bedroom before I had a chance to even realise what was going on. It came naturally to her, whereas I had to fight for it. Or at least win this race.
Sofia liked to wear old, oversized t-shirts when she ran, but today she’d opted for a tight-fitting tank top—all part of her strategy. She’d rather wear a dress for a month than let me win.
I gained a little ground on her, enough to witness a drop of sweat making its way out of her hair onto the nape of her neck. Her tank top was black and so soaked it showed the outline of her shoulder blades. They flitted up and down along the inside of the fabric as she cleaved her balled fists through the air. My heart pounded behind my ears and I wasn’t sure if it was from the exertion of trying to keep up with her, or from the sheer pleasure of watching her run.

Wet and Wild Blog Hop
Well, we all know I like things wet and wild (except for rainy season, I hate rainy season!) I’ve written quite a few shower scenes (download Wetter for free if you want a taste) and lately, I can’t seem to stop penning sweaty gym related tales (a mini-anthology is in the works).

Hump Day Hook: Hired Help
This week’s Hump Day Hook is from my novelette Hired Help (which you can get for free if you sign up to my mailing list! )
“Come on,” Scarlet whispered while kicking off her shoes. “Time to test the bed.” Olivia’s glance caught the alarm clock on the night stand. It was three twenty-three but she already knew she was going for the full five hours. She stepped out of her shoes and, having slightly gained composure again, along with the belief that her voice wouldn’t shake too much, addressed Scarlet, “As stunning as that dress looks on you, I think it’s time to take it off.”
“At your service, madam.” Scarlet presented her back to Olivia so she could zip her out of the gown. Her skin was so smooth and evenly bronzed that Olivia suspected Scarlet of coming from another galaxy, or at least another, more sun-kissed area than northern Europe. Scarlet’s ruby dress was now a silk puddle on the hotel room carpet. The only fabric left on her skin was a wine-coloured pair of panties. What a profession, Olivia thought, it doesn’t even require wearing a bra.
Scarlet faced Olivia in her almost naked glory and flipped open the button of her jeans. Once they had dropped to the floor as well, forming another mountain of discarded clothing, Scarlet backed onto the bed, her eyes never leaving Olivia’s face. Olivia crawled towards her on all fours, to that promising soft-skinned body that was all hers for the next hours, and looked forward to straddling Scarlet, but, as soon as she approached, Scarlet grabbed her by the wrists and made her lose balance. Scarlet tipped Olivia over and held her arms above her head with one hand, her long fingers pressing firmly into the delicate skin of Olivia’s wrists.
“Don’t move,” Scarlet said while peering deep into Olivia’s eyes. She reached for her bag which stood next to the bed and produced a red silk scarf. “Okay?” Scarlet asked and Olivia wouldn’t dream of declining the offer of being tied up. Scarlet’s breasts, which Olivia was more than ready to devour, swayed up and down while she tightened the scarf around Olivia’s hands and tied her to the bed. “This is why I like the George V,” she said, “the furniture is very functional.”

Special Guest: Victoria Blisse

The Attraction of Real Sex
As an author I spend an awful lot of time in an imaginary world. I like it there, they know me and it’s always fun to visit. Sometimes though, it’s nice to get real. I like to portray characters that readers can believe in and I hope I’ve managed that with Rob and Lou.
Rob works in tech support and his wife, Lou, is a Child minder. They’ve got kids and responsibilities like you and I. They live in a terraced house in a suburban street and they both love nachos but he hates prawns and she can’t stand ketchup. They get tired, they argue now and then but every now and again they get the opportunity to spend some quality time together… even if they have to put a big heavy book behind the bedroom door to have it.
I loved writing from Lou’s point of view about her husband and her sex life. I enjoyed exploring the possibilities for real couples to indulge their kinky side in very practical ways. Any couple could do the things Rob and Lou do, there’s no specialist equipment, no dungeons or red rooms of pain, Just a small box of toys in the back of Lou’s underwear drawer. I hope their raunchy romps inspire some copycat actions from those who read the stories!
