A Grand Day out at the Annapolis Comic-Con 2012
Today has been a barnstormer day for me at the Annapolis Comic-Con, I went in with expectations that I might sell a few copies of my work, and if I am lucky a couple of A Teddy Bear Tale. After all it is a comic book show, and apart from Exposition I don't really have anything that tells a story in a sequential fashion. I was too be proved wrong and I totally and utterly sold out of every copy of A Teddy Bear Tale I had, plus the copies I borrowed back off the books artist Dan Nokes. Thank you to everyone who picked up a copy, I hope it brings you and your kids joy

After the jump you can check out the gallery of pictures that I took at Annapolis Comic con, including my geek out moment of having John Ostrander pick up a copy of my Teddy Bear book. Keep watching this page as I announce new dates as I bring A Teddy Bear Tale on to the convention circuit.

Annapolis Comic-Con Weekend come and support your local creators
Pretty amazing piece of artwork, eh? This pantheon of Superheros was put together by A Teddy Bear Tale Artist Dan Nokes and he is donating it to a charity auction at the Annapolis Comic-con for the Heroes Intuitive, a charity that takes cares of creators in the comic book industry that have come across hard times. For this artwork alone it is a great excuse to attend this Comic-con… But it gets better!!!

Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes the animated series returns for Season Two
Yes, that is Ms.Marvel you see… For some reason DC has the legs on Marvel when it comes to animated series producing a product that is is many times has better production values, and is better written. Thankfully Marvel seems to do much better with live action. However, one of the best Marvel Animations to come out of their studies has been the Avengers; a surprisingly dark series that capture the spirit of the books very well. Anyhow, check out the trailer for Season Two after the jump…

Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome Trailer and it looks good…
It has been a long wait, we endured Caprica and learning that Cylons are really nothing more than impetuous child that never got a pony and thankfully that disappeared before it completely blew up the myth. Now, we get what should of happened after BSG and that is Blood & Chrome which is set in the First Cylon War, and Adama is a cocky Fighter Jock. Check out the trailer after the jump, it looks pretty damn good, especially seeing Galactica all bright and shiney… So watch it before NBC act stupid, forget the power and importance of viral marketing, and yank it

My adventure in watercolors with my first sketch of Tristan
It has been exactly twenty-one years since I last painted anything with watercolor, so this was a huge leap for me. I took a copy of the sketch I did of Tristan a couple of days ago, pulled out a kids watercolor palette from one of those 80 piece art kits, took a deep breath and had ago… Above is Tristan against a white background and after the jump is Tristan against a purple background, which one works best?

A surprising retelling of a Teddy Bear Tale and a magic moment
I spent the day at the local library finding a creative rhythm and keeping it going. I'm writing, sketching, writing and sketching; you might of seen some results of my work on the A Teddy Bear Tale & My Facebook page. Anyway, see the image above, again fairly rough, but my training wheels are still very much on.

I'm writing, sketching, writing and sketching; you might of seen some results of my work on the A Teddy Bear Tale & My Facebook page. Anyway, see the image above, again fairly rough, but my training wheels are still very much on.
But as I was sketching my variation of Tristan, a little girl came up to me and asked me what I was doing. So I explained the Teddy Bears name is Tristan and he protects his child from Monsters under the bed… She watched, her mother shoo'ed her off and then she returned a little later as I filling in the details, she asked a couple of questions and I ended up telling her a paraphrased version of A Teddy Bear Tale. I've never told a verbatim version of any of my stories before and it was magical moment where I swear you could see the images swirl in the air.
Something long needed, I snagged some childhood wonder…
