Get out your vote… Use it… And use it well no matter who you vote for this is your power…
Well, it is that time after an insanely long campaign season and the hijinks of the GOP Presidential Candidate show it is going to come down to your vote, and you don’t know how jealous I am of you. You see I am an Immigrant and I cannot vote… yet… I do not have a voice in this election and although you may think you don’t have a voice you do, and it is more powerful than you think. You have a franchise, you have the ability to tell those that represent you what you really think of them. So please use your vote.
I know your thinking why should I? The USA uses the Electoral College and not the popular vote like most of the civilized free world, but your vote does count even in a state that leans one way over the other. There are issues on your ballot, questions that require your vote you can decide your future, you are in charge. Learn those issues, those questions be informed, learn the answers on your own and don’t have them spoonfed to you. The most powerful thing a Politician fears is an informed voter, be that, be smart and vote. You do not know how important this franchise is unless you don’t have one, so please use it and use it well. Remember this…
The day I made this post is November 5th, an interesting date in the United Kingdom as it was the day Guy Fawkes tried to blow up Parliament. The interesting thing they say about Guy Fawkes is he was the first and last honest man to enter Parliament or to that matter Politics itself…
Remember, remember, the 5th of November
The Gunpowder Treason and plot ;
I know of no reason why Gunpowder Treason
Should ever be forgot.
His hope was to remind the world that fairness, justice and freedom are more than words – they are perspectives… Now I’m not going to tell you who to vote for, what your answers should be to the questions you are about to face on your ballot. If you’ve been following my blog or tweets you know which way I lean politically in the USA, which isn’t a surprise if you consider my home country, and I know scary and unprincipled when I see it. Don’t be that voter who voted one way, expected something to happen in less than four months and then went the other way because you got scared. So… I know I’ve said this more than once in this blog use your vote this is your power, and with great power comes great responsibility…
Please choose wisely and choose well… The future of my children is in your hands… Onwards…

We catch a break as Sandy became a superstorm and gave us a glancing blow
Flooding in the Middle River Basin – Source: Baltimore Sun
I know those are odd words, because so far here in Maryland we’ve had two reported tragic deaths related to Hurricane Sandy – now Super storm Sandy. We really did get lucky here as Sandy only gave us a glancing blow instead of just running us over. Yes, there were hairy moments and we had a flickering lights, a block away from us browned out for 10 minutes and some minor flooding around the basement door, but it could have and should have been a lot worse. At one point Sandy was accelerating just before landfall and heading right for us, then she spluttered and lost a lot of strength. In essence we got the weak part of the storm and for that I am very thankful.
However there are many who didn’t get as lucky and Sandy did wreak havoc along the East Coast. I urge you if you can to make a donation to the American Red Cross who once again are doing an amazing job along side all the First Responders out there. To learn how to donate please click the link here.
To view pictures of the storm damage please check out the Baltimore Sun Gallery here.
I do urge you all that were in the Sandy’s path to not travel today unless you have too, it is still raining and there are a lot storm related conditions out there. Hope you all are safe and weathered this event.

Here comes Sandy… Be smart… Be safe…
No escaping it now… All of us along the Northeast coast are in for a pretty wild 24-26 hours as Hurricane Sandy starts making its way inland. The projected landfall seems to be in New Jersey, but this storm is so large we are going to experience it in fact it most likely is going to run straight over us… So my friends… If you are under that big red projected path above, be smart, be safe, keep a bag packed and have an evac route planned. For further advice about what to do in this sort of Emergency please click here.

Our day out at Annapolis Comic Con? It was totally awesome… Check out the pictures!
Welcome to Annapolis Comic Con I’ve been expecting you…
Today took all the AltWorld books, 3/4′s of the family and headed out to Annapolis Comic Con. What followed was a fun day of spreading the word about my books especially The Teddy Bear Tales. The convention itself has doubled its size from the show in March, which is a great sign of its success and the work of its promoter Ben. If you are a fan of comics I do heartily recommend an Awesome Con show, it is a great family show. Now… Check out the gallery below as I let Tristan loose amongst the Cosplay Community.

Storm Warning – Is Hurricane Sandy heading to Baltimore?
Last year we got side-swiped by Hurricane Irene, which was fairly anti-climatic for us up here in Baltimore. We got rain, wind and a lot more rain, but not much else. Other parts of Maryland got hit a lot harder and now it looks like we are going to be receiving Hurricane Sandy sometime in the next four days, albeit when it gets to us it may only by Tropical Storm force, but that will be enough to cause some problems and it looks like Baltimore is direct in its path this time. So in the spirit of public service I once again offer my Hurricane survival guide – click here to read them.

Marvel at the Iron Man 3 Trailer a darker tone as we edge into Extremis?
The internet has been alive today with spoilers and links to the Iron Man 3 trailer, and I have to say it looks like the buzz in this case is justified. Looks like Iron Man 3 is taking what I call the benchmark for Superhero movies is a darker direction. I’m not going to pull the trailer apart just start-up the video below and sit back and enjoy…
