Billy Graham determined to connect marriage inequality to his legacy

A new ad running in papers nationwide:

Sorry, middle class in need to opportunity. Move over, those in need to affordable healthcare. Piss off, those tired of the faith-based politicization that has stood in the way of progress. Billy Graham has a Falwellian "culture war" to keep active.

Makes me quite sad.

Anti-gay hero E.W. Jackson: Liberalism has killed more Black folks than KKK, lynchings, slavery, Jim Crow

Bishop E.W. Jackson's calls for Blacks to leave the Democratic Party has earned high praise from groups like the National Organization For Marriage. Conservative stardom that was built around oh-so-measured statements like this one:

[FULL Sermon: AFTAH]

An "amazing statement" indeed, Peter LaBarbera. By which I mean it's amazingly obtuse rhetoric for a marriage movement that so desperately needs to prove it is motivated by something other than hostility and rancor.

The National Organization for [forced, 'natural' reproduction]

Thomas Peters heads up the National Organization For Marriage's long-gestating "Next Generation For Marriage" project. That being the case, it's pertinent for all to know that if we are to follow young Thomas' thoughts to their logical end, it's more than just same-sex couples who should fear what NOM has planned for this phase two operation:

Okay, so first—if you're familiar with Twitter, I encourage to read the replies to Thomas' tweet. His supporters are saying things like "bestiali...

Right, because what could a successful husband and father possibly know about family?

The National Organization For Marriage's president tweeting during last night's debate:

Uh huh, Brian. Because family is defined by how many good and decent neighbors one hurts in one's lifetime. Keep telling yourself that, you professional discriminator you.

Video: In case you were thinking of patronizing Computer Pro of Newton, Iowa…

…the first twenty-five seconds of this Al Jazeera English report might cause you to think twice:

If Mitt Romney wants to put Adam Vandall's ideas into an ad, I'm actually okay with that. Let the GOP nominee adopt the "God will destroy the pro-gay world" views that pepper his base and see where the cards fall.

Congrats, Matt Birk—man who says gays are 'pawns of the enemy' thinks you're awesome

Tony Perkins' latest radio commentary:

Applause from one of the most anti-LGBT voices in all of America? Eh, I guess that's kind of like the Lombardi Trophy. Except, you know—not at all.

NOM ally Deb Owens: Homosexuality 'is not normal behavior'

Deborah Owens is one of the National Organization For Marriage's big pals. Her husband, Rev. Bill Owens, is named as NOM's religious liaison. Just this morning, NOM pushed a Washington Times column that Deborah Owens penned (though they erroneously credited it to her husband).

So what does Owens say in that NOM-backed column? Well, she says gays are not normal, of course:

"Homosexuals and lesbians have been around for a long time, though many of them were “in the closet.” Over time, they have c...

What can't Mitt Romney can't say tonight? Exactly what he said ten years ago.

I know the fact that Mitt Romney is an Olympic level flip-flopper is not news. However, upon revisiting some of the planks that were in his campaign for Mass Governor, I do find it both pertinent and striking to consider how his full-throated support for any one of the following in tonight's debate would so fully alienate his conservative base:

ADL vs. Pete LaBarbera

There's an interesting truth about groups that know a thing or two about actual Nazis. That is: they don't take too kindly to those who flippantly throw around and misapply their atrocities:

New York, NY, October 16, 2012 … The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) today condemned offensive statements by two leading anti-gay activists, who during a recent radio appearance analogized "homosexual activists" to Nazis and claimed that they are demonizing Christians "like the Nazis used to do to the Jews."
