Petty AFA 'news' site can't even write the word 'gay'
This is pretty funny. One News Now, the "news" outlet of the rabidly anti-LGBT American Family Association posted a story with this headline:
But apparently someone higher up at AFA caught wind of this headline, which used gay instead of homosexual, and without smear quotes to boot. So within a few minutes of posting, the headline changed to this:
The initial post is now a dead link:
All so we "homosexuals" can be put in our proper place, linguistically if not politicall...
Hawaii one step closer to being infinitely more desirable (and profitable) wedding destination
Meanwhile in Hawaii, a joint House committee passed the marriage equality bill, setting up for a full House vote sometime this morning:

After today's reading and vote, there will need to be another reading, likely by week's end. Then the measure will need to go back to the Senate, where an earlier version already passed, before it goes to the desk of supportive Gov. Neil Abercrombie, who will proudly sign...
What's the implication here, Dirty Mind Research Council?
Check out the Family Research Council's latest headline decrying The Employment NonDiscrimination Act (ENDA):

"Up clothes"? What is it, exactly, that they think ENDA does: force second base on unsuspecting Americans?
Perhaps they think it's "in 'da", like "in 'da bra" or "in 'da shorts"? Maybe they think seven Republicans and fifty-four Democratic U.S. Senators just cleared a legislative hurdle so that they can direct the NSA to spy on Americans' private parts?
You really have to wonder wh...

BREAKING: Illinois passes marriage equality! We're up to 15 states (plus D.C.)!!
By a vote of 61–54, the Illinois House just passed the marriage equality bill. The bill will immediately go back to the Senate, where it has already passed, and then it will go to the desk of supportive Gov. Pat Quinn.
It's final—FINALLY! Congrats, Land of Lincoln.

Peter Sprigg flat-out lies; claims FRC never supported Ugandan law that it *TOTALLY* did support
On yesterday's edition of "Washington Watch Weekly," in response to an FRC supporter who quite literally said that gay people should be put to death, fill-in host Peter Sprigg made this comment about FRC's supposed lack of support for the Ugandan "kill the gays" bill:
Only thing? FRC absolutely supported the law, saying it simply "upholds moral conduct":

Just because FRC scrubbed the evidence doesn't mean it never happened. And bearing f...
FRC radio caller: 'Dead people don't marry'...'sodomites are to be put to death'
Yesterday afternoon, Steve from Kansas called into Tony Perkins' daily radio show. This is what he said about us:

Of course "ENDA's Game" is a play off Ender's Game, the book and now movie that sprung from the mind of Orson Scott Card, a man who has put onto record some of the most shockingly anti-LGBT comments imaginable. So nice that Focus on the Family, an organization that has been so militantly resisting LGBT people's peace of mind for so long, gets to c...
Hawaii anti-gay group: We must stop the happiness of 'American Idol' contestant Jim Verraros
Here is a photograph from the 2009 wedding of season one American Idol contestant Jim Verraros and his husband Bill Brennan. Fausto Fernós of the Feast of Fun blog and podcast took the shot:

But when this photo falls in the hands of a Hawaii anti-equality group, it becomes an apparent sign of inequality. This according to the Hawaii Republican Assembly, which took Fausto's personal photo and used it for this...
