Videos: Sen. Cruz, Ben Carson, others lend names to NOM's brand of discrimination
We all know that the March For Marriage was a hilarious failure, but we've heard little about that same night's NOM gala. Until now. Here are three videos from the event, featuring a U.S. Senator who is determined to define himself by what (and who) he is against, a potential presidential candidate who admits he does believe homosexuality is fit to be compared to bestiality but NAMBLA doesn't believe in evolution, and a young man who believes gay people are called to be celibate. Enjoy:

Audio: Family Research Council again advocates for reparative therapy, portrays homosexuality as non-innocuous
When you consider that Peter Sprigg has openly advocated for "exporting" gay people from the United States and criminal sanctions against homosexuality, the fact that he's denying that homosexuality is a valid sexual orientation is somewhat minor. But considering what a major player FRC remains within the conservative movement, it's best to keep track of all of it:

AFA lifts blogger's personal photo to decry Macy's support of 'sex parades;' I defy them to find any sex
To attack Macy's for supporting LGBT pride parades, the American Family Association has lifted a personal photo from a blog called Jason In Hollywood. AFA uses that photo to insist that Macy's is really supporting "sex parades"
[AFA]
But if you go to the Jason in Hollywood blog and look at his extensive photo set from the 2010 West Hollywood Pride parade, at which the above photo was taken, you will not find one shred of sex. You'll find families. You'll see costumes. You'll see people having f...
AFA of Indiana can't handle debate, scrubs my comments and blocks me
If you go to the post, you will see that it says there are fifteen comments:
But there are not fifteen comments. Not anymore. And why not? Because after a lengthy debate in which the fact that we were even having a debate seemed problematic to the anti-gay organization, the American Family Association of Indiana has scrubbed all of my (and their) comments from the post, as if the whole thing never happened.
Unfortunately, I only got a partial screen cap of the exchange (sadly, I forg...

Sen. Susan Collins becomes fourth GOP US Senator to support marriage equality
On the same day that the Human Rights Campaign endorsed the moderate Republican for re-election, US Senator Susan Collins became the fourth GOP member of the upper chamber to endorse marriage equality:
Susan Collins: I support same-sex marriage [Bangor Daily News]
Collins joins colleagues Rob Portman (R-OH), Lisa Murkowski (R-AK), and Mark Kirk (R-IL) on the right side of history. She also joins her fellow senator from Maine, Independent Angus King (who caucuses with the Democrats), on the side...
Utah's big anti-equality group admits agenda goes well beyond marriage
"Celebrate Marriage Utah" is the main group advocating against marriage equality in the state of Utah. You might remember that big winter rally that Celebrate Marriage Utah hosted at the state capitol, in tandem with the National Organization For Marriage. The state senate president and attorney general even showed up for that one.
So today, with Utah back in the news because of the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals siding with the lower court in saying that the state's marriage ban is unconstitut...
Video: Here's what it looks like when two guys marry in Indiana
What 'American people' are you even talking about, Tony Perkins?
The last four states to vote on marriage equality all passed it, and the last few legislatures to consider the matter ultimately put it through. Every credible poll shows Americans supporting equality; even less credible polls show an even or above-even split.
Culturally, marriage equality is a non-event. One of TV's biggest comedies, Modern Family, just ended its season with a big same-sex wedding. There wasn't even a hint of controversy. There never is anymore. Americans know that marriage...
Peter LaBarbera continues familiar practice of posting pics of gay men's bare butts
In the anti-gay world of professional anti-LGBT activist Peter LaBarbera, a same-sex kiss is meant to be edited away but a chorus line of bare butt cheeks are perfectly fit to print. Both of these images come from a new post in which Pete, humorously and without apparent self-awareness, questions gay men's ability to be masculine:
[AFTAH]
"I'll be at dinner in a second, honey. I just have to prove how masculine I am by making sure this parade of men-in-jockstraps is perfectly lit and cropped."
