Breaking: Tenth Circuit finds Utah's marriage ban unconstitutional

On the same day that a federal judge struck down Indiana's marriage ban, the 10th circuit Court of Appeals has found Utah's big bad ban to be unconstitutional as well. Unlike Indiana, however, that ruling is on hold.

Still amazing! Ruling at this link.

***Unless this one is somehow overturned or governed, will apply to several other states, including ghout the 10th Circuit, including Colorado, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Wyoming. Huge!

Breaking: Federal judge strikes down Indiana marriage ban

A federal judge today struck down Indiana's discriminatory marriage ban. Additionally, there is no stay on the ruling so couples can begin marrying immediately.

Happy Pride!! More to come.

Video: #March4Marriage attendees 'don't hate' us enough to tell us we're wrong, unequal, in need of 'the truth'

Screen Shot 2014-06-25 At 8.59.08 Am
Just like last year, when she pushed the claim that there were 15,000 people at a march that featured about 12,000 less than that, I'm sure Katie Yoder of the anti-gay Media Research Center thought she was helping when she and her team put together this video of carefully selected March For Marriage attendees expressing their "love" for gay people. But considering virtually all of them make it clear that their form of "love" involves "saving" gay people from ourselves, she actually manages to...

Scott Lively's song of summer: 'The Rainbow Belongs to God'

Hysterically anti-gay personality Scott Lively says of the song's origins:

It was written my friend Johny Noer, a Danish pastor living in the Negev Desert of Israel, and performed by the very talented singer/composer Signe Walsoe. Johny was an attendee and guest lecturer at my Bible seminar in England last fall and was inspired by my article/strategy “The Rainbow Belongs to God” which I created to encourage the Russians to reclaim the rainbow as a Christian symbol during the Winter Olympics."...

Anti-gay NOM unable to sway #NY22 in favor of anti-equality Tenney

Screen Shot 2014-06-25 At 6.49.27 AmThe National Organization For Marriage knew that the Republican primary in New York's 22nd congressional district was going to be a low turnout affair, so the pro-discrimination special interest group threw over $25,000 (reported so far) at the campaign of the anti-equality conservative who was hoping to unseat incumbent GOP Rep. Richard Hanna. Last night Hanna, who is only one of three GOP House members to support marriage equality, came out the victor over NOM-backed Claudia Tenney:

Hanna de...

Orlando, living up to its 'City Beautiful' reputation, stands with equality

Flag Of Orlando, FloridaA nice move from the Sunshine State's third largest metro area:

Orlando City Council Files Brief In Support Of Same-Sex Marriage [Towle]

And if the city wants to convince the rest of the state, and America, to go along for the ride, they can just get their friends at Disney World to threaten to deny straight parents of further usage of the 2014 babysitter that is the Frozen DVD.

Photo: At least NOM's taking ownership of #March4Marriage's anti-gay animus

Turns out that people like me didn't have to work so hard rounding up all of the signs at last week's March For Marriage that showed the event was, in fact, anti-gay and not just "pro-marriage." The National Organization For Marriage is happily embracing a sign insisting that God says "sodomy" is wrong, even going so far as to slap an official March For Marriage logo on the pic:

Tony Perkins sure gives good non sequitur

"Oh darn, Secretary Kerry is walking. That's too bad; I wanted to give him a piece of gun."

Or, to put it another way:

I'm pretty sure ambassador appointments happen in tandem with all other work, regardless of said ambassadors' sexual orientations/gender identities. I'm also pretty sure Secretary Kerry can still care about Canada and Poland even if he's in Egypt or Russia on a particular day.

And not for nothing, Tony, but I'm pretty sure you are...

AFA senior analyst equates 'homosexual behavior' w/ pedophilia, bestiality, eating faces of homeless; recommends Republicans follow his lead

Yesterday afternoon, Rick Santorum became the latest in a long line of prominent conservatives who have catered to Bryan Fischer, senior issues analyst with the American Family Association, and his truly nutty radio show. This is what they are supporting:

Public policy is about discriminating against behaviors that are socially destructive and corrosive to the social fabric. So, we rightly discriminate against people who rip off convenience stores, burgle houses, drive while drunk, eat the fac...

Video: Ben Carson's gay rights compromise: You don't get to marry, he gets to be smug

Fresh off of his gig speaking at the National Organization For Marriage's gala, conservative hero Ben Carson, who has directly equated same-sex marriage with bestiality and NAMBLA, is now telling gay people that he will totally "compromise" on marriage because he's not a "homophobe." His self-interested compromise involves gay people being denied the right to marry while he attacks our unions as being on par with mathematical error:

You know, I might be annoyed about him not believing in my ma...
