In a stayed ruling, U.S. District Judge John G. Heyburn II (an H.W. Bush appointee) just struck down the Bluegrass State's constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriage.
More to come!

REMARKS BY THE PRESIDENT
AT PRIDE MONTH CELEBRATION
East Room
5:40 P.M. EDT
THE PRESIDENT: Hello, everybody. (Applause.) Well, I want to thank Jim and Patrick. First of all, I think they supported me in my state Senate campaign. (Laughter.) Those were some early supporters, and we might not be here if it hadn’t been for them. Congratulations on final...
Video: Brian Brown's callers show weakness of his movement's arguments
Below is an appearance that National Organization For Marriage president Brian Brown contributed to C-Span over the weekend. Other than coming closer to supporting the idea of gay "change" than I've heard from him in a while (at around the 33:00 mark) or denying that he's a religious leader (at around 22:00; and ha!), Brian's talking points are fairly standard and reliably unconvincing. No surprise there.
What I find most interesting is how throughly off-base and uninformed his supportive call...
Mat Staver 'deeply saddened' California can still recognize and ban junk 'therapy'
Tellingly mentioning Jerry Sandusky, as he and his pals have been wont to do in order to convince America that straight-identified pedophiles are what make people gay, Liberty Counsel attorney Mat Staver is defiantly angry at the Supreme Court for rejecting his challenge to California's landmark ban on "ex-gay" therapy:
“I am deeply saddened for the families we represent and for the thousands of children that our professional clients counsel, many of whom developed these unwanted attractions b...
Video: Lively international aggression gets the John Oliver twist
Last week, I told you about the unintentionally hilarious "Rainbow Belongs To God" song that extreme anti-gay activist Scott Lively was promoting as wonderful. I love that John Oliver included it as part of a longer report on international extremism and its godfather:

Ben Carson, the go-to guy for anti-gay galas
He's already gone after LGBT rights while keynoting at galas for the National Organization For Marriage and the Illinois Family Institute. Fox News contributor and rumored 2016 presidential candidate Ben Carson is next heading to the extremely anti-LGBT Pacific Justice Institute, a California organization that has engaged in just about every battle we've face in the Golden State over the past decade or so:

Notorious anti-gay activist Scott Lively is sending out the warning sign:

2015? Please! We right-side-of-history advocates, "elite" or not, are conspiring to make equal marriage happen by this afternoon, if we can get it! And frankly, we don't care who knows it. While it might not make sense to an extreme social conservative who has called for the criminalization of "the public advocacy of homosexuality," we equality activists are actually quite proud to lead our nation to its richer,...

For NC banquet, FRC assembes one of most anti-gay crews imaginable
Kenyn Cureton believes the gay people are "pawns in the hands of their malevolent master...the devil":
Ron Baity equates homosexuality with murder, implies that gay relations are worse than what maggots do, and insists gay people need to "quit being homos":
Mark Harris doesn't want people seeing gay relationships as "fine and dandy":

Hysterical fear ad targeting Houston nondiscrimination ordinance: 'Young & The Restless' theme, obviously made up claims, pubic hair
A coalition calling itself "No Unequal Rights" is attempting to repeal the LGBT-inclusive nondiscrimination ordinance that the Houston city council passed in May. Here is the unintentionally hilarious ad they are hoping will accomplish this task:
Riiiight, discriminators. You just happened to find a McDonald's worker with the perfect story who was ready and willing to record her voice for political purposes. How fortuitous for you!

Today in D.C.: FRC's Peter Sprigg testifies in favor of gay 'change'
Peter Sprigg, who has voiced support for both "exporting" gay people from the United States and imposing criminal sanctions against homosexuality, will testify today before the D.C. City Council. In hopes of thwarting a proposal to ban junk science in the nation's capital, the Family Research Council Senior Fellow will join other self-described "ex-gays" in pretending that the scientifically discredited idea of "change" actually has some sort of rational support base:
Mr. Sprigg will argue tha...
