Alito (!) denies Pennsylvania clerk's attempt to stop marriage equality
Theresa Santai-Gaffney has become something of a folk hero in anti-gay circles for her strident resistance against marriage equality in her state and her vow to fight all the way to the highest court in the land. This afternoon, a conservative justice delivered a swift end to that vow:
