40 Days For Marriage [Family Foundation]

No, no, this time frame would not work for me. I love pumpkin, butternut squash, cider, and all the culinary abundance that autumn has to offer. Way too much yummy stuff to deny my gut.

Oh yeah—and I am madly in love with my husband and our fami...

Photographer to Matt Barber's website: Stop using my copyrighted image or face lawsuit

Matt Barber's viciously anti-gay website has lifted the viral photo that photographer Lindsay Foster shot of two new dads welcoming their precious bundle into the world and written the phrase "junk science" over it:

There is no way BarbWire can claim "fair use" of this photo. In addition to the alteration of the work and the size of the reproduction (which does matter; non-scaleable thumbnails are different from full size images, which is how Google Images gets away with what it does), the wri...

NOM's religious liaison: Promoting LGBT rights abroad is 'affront to civilized society'

Screen Shot 2014-07-10 At 3.00.24 PmThe Rev. Bill Owens is the National Organization For Marriage's named religious liaison and close ally. Without further ado, here is this key NOM spokesman yet again proving just how far beyond marriage he really wants to go:

And we are now using America’s political might to strong arm other nations into accepting the homosexual lifestyle. With all the problems that face our country, with AIDS in Africa and poverty and disease around the world, it is shocking to see that the President has chos...

Alito (!) denies Pennsylvania clerk's attempt to stop marriage equality

10384058 876297385729809 338472546650234793 NTheresa Santai-Gaffney has become something of a folk hero in anti-gay circles for her strident resistance against marriage equality in her state and her vow to fight all the way to the highest court in the land. This afternoon, a conservative justice delivered a swift end to that vow:

A U.S. Supreme Court justice let same-sex marriages continue in Pennsylvania, rejecting a request from a county clerk who sought to reinstate the state’s ban.

The rebuff by Justice Samuel Alito leaves Pennsylvani...

NOM no longer pretending its arguments are driven by something other than theology

The modern marriage equality debate is, of course, about civil marriage and civil marriage only. Faith decisions, such as whether or not to perform an always-optional religious wedding ceremony, are to remain up to the individual churches and denominations, just as they are with opposite-sex unions. This is a very easy concept to understand.

But NOM, losing on a near-daily basis in courts of both civil law and public opinion, is more and more coming out as what the organization is and has alwa...

People like me aren't looking for a fight, claims man who fights LGBT rights for a paycheck

They seem to think that if they increase the volume by which they shirk their responsibility in this "culture war" against a minority population's civil rights, the future will remember things according to their script rather than according to truth:

Screen Shot 2014-07-09 At 3.29.19 Pm

"People who believe in marriage aren't looking for a fight — they are everyday people just like you and me who go about their lives working hard, raising their children, and trying to be the best people they can be according to the dictates of the...
