I gasped when strong. arms wrapped around me from behind. Then I melted when he buried his face in my neck. Jared spun me around and pressed me up against the cool metal of my car door. The Art of Tease
For those of you who are fans of authors and book review blogs on Facebook, you'll no doubt have already noticed the trend that has been going on for some time.
The teaser pic.
A photo with a quick quote from a book to pull you in. It's the movie trailer for books (though actual book trailers are on the rise too!). I've recently been collecting a stock pile of photos for ALL of my works in progress and I've been hard at work creating a wealth of teaser pics for my books.
I must say it's been a lot of fun finding people who look enough like my characters to represent my books. A few pictures are already up on my website and Facebook but I just thought you all might like to know that more are coming. I'd like to be releasing teasers every few weeks. A lot will be in preparation for my December 30th release of Natural Harmony but I'm also making teasers for Last Resort (my first erotic romance), the next two Confession Records novels, The Low Notes, Reckless Radiance and maybe a top secret project I'm working on ;)

I’ve always been an avid reader. Majoring in English Literature was a no brainer. Becoming a teacher and instilling my love for reading into my students was also a no brainer. I’ve spent the last ten years teaching and I’ve loved (mostly) every minute of it. When I was home on maternity leave for my third son, I discovered a new genre that sparked my creativity. My passion for writing sprang from my love of reading and once I knew I had a story to tell, I couldn’t wait to get it out there. I only hope that my readers enjoy reading my story as much as I enjoyed writing it.

“I wasn’t counting on you wearing those shoes.” Taylor laughed at the look on her face when she looked up at him.
Layla frowned and looked down at her small feet. “I was just thinking how I’m always wearing the wrong shoes.” She met his gaze, her eyes bright in the streetlight as she shrugged and smiled up at him. Unable to help himself, Taylor pulled them to a stop. Taking a step forward, he crowded Layla knowing he was in her personal space. Still holding her hand, he placed his free hand on her waist and propelled her backwards into the red brick of the building next to them. Layla looked startled for a second but she recovered quickly and a seductive heat lit her hazel eyes. The tip of her pink tongue darted out and ran across her bottom lip leaving a sheen of wetness behind. Taylor dipped his head pushing his hips into her, pinning her to the wall. It dawned on him that for the first time in a long time, he wasn’t having the inner struggle over whether he should kiss her or not. He knew this was right, he knew what they had was real. He was excited but not nervous. His hand landed on the back of her neck, his fingers tangled in her hair and his thumb stroked her jaw just before his lips touched hers. As always the feeling was electric. Using his thumb, he tilted her head more and ran his tongue along her bottom lip. Layla shivered and opened her mouth. Her arms wound around his neck, her nails digging into the skin there as she pulled him closer. Layla’s tongue stroked his own before retreating into her mouth with his following. Taylor could feel the heat of her skin through the thin material of her dress and all he really wanted was to feel that heat against his own flesh. They broke apart, both of them breathing heavily. “I don’t think I'll ever get tired of doing that,” Layla whispered in his ear. Pressing his forehead against her shoulder, Taylor pulled back and searched her face. Taylor watched Layla pull her bottom lip into her mouth and frown. “Do you really think we can make this work? What I did…”

After reading Tears in the Rubble, I felt like I had a good idea of where Taylor and Layla would end up but it's always nice to see more of characters that you love! If you were left wanting more after Tears in the Rubble this book will satisfy you without a doubt! From the Rubble was such a lovely ending to a tender story and it only makes me more anxious for something else from Britni Hill.

L.G. Castillo wrote her first story when she was ten and has been writing ever since. She took a break from writing fiction and poetry to focus on obtaining her Ph.D. in counseling psychology. She is now a licensed psychologist and works as a professor at a Texas university. She has published her psychological research in several professional journals and books. The Broken Angel Trilogy is her first venture into publishing fiction.
