Exciting News

Blog Hop: My Writing Process
Thanks for stopping by to this author blog hop. It’s a chance where you’re learn a little bit about me and my writing process.
Kristine Raymond invited me to participate. This was started by Maya Rock.
The lovely Katija O tagged me to be interviewed. I’ve only just really been introduced to Katijo, and she seems pretty amazing. Here’s a little bit about her:
Biography
Writing was my passion for almost thirty years, life and its obstacles got in my way.
After losing someone who was very close to me, I needed to find something to help ease my pain – one day I sat at my computer and began the journey.

What am I working on?
My current WIP is A Perfect Love, book two in my Perfect Series. This installment will follow the fabulous, take-no-shit Jo, whom readers of A Perfect Moment got to know as Ella’s feisty sidekick bff, and of course her dreamy husband Liam. We’ll follow their story as they navigate their way through the challenges, mishap and dramas of married life and all that entails.
Be sure to expect a whole heap of laughter, a good dose of drama and a bucket load of tears. I’m anticipating A Perfect Love to be ready for release in August/September 2014.
How does my work differ from others of its genre?
I think my style in this series especially has clear sense of romance and humour, without delving into erotica. I love erotica, but sometimes all I want is genuine sweetness in my life. Also, I deliberately wanted my characters to be ‘real’ even, ‘normal’ every day people. They’re not rock stars, movie stars or assassins; they’re regular people like you and me. Hopefully, this has brought a little bit of freshness to contemporary romance.
Why do I write what I do?
For the love of it. Plain and simple. I have several stories to tell. I will always have a full time job, and have to clean my damn car (okay, so I totally get my husband to do that for me), so it’s definitely not for the wealth or indeed status. I love my privacy. It’s the buzz of discovering a reader connected with one of my characters; the adrenaline when I read the lines “I loved it”. It’s totally gets me going and yep, I do a pretty impressive jig. I have a good and happy life, but sometimes, life gets hard and shitty. I find my escape in books. Knowing that I can also provide that escapism to someone else is a pretty magical feeling.
How does my writing process work?
My PA, Josie, I know is shaking her head. I don’t really plan. I don’t really make notes. I simply write. My life is busy, so I grab an hour of pounding my words out into my laptop whenever I get the chance, which has been shamefully rare since the release of A Perfect Moment. Self-promotion, even with Josie and my amazing street team, is almost a full time job in itself. This shit is hard. So, yes, it’s true. I juggle ideas in my head, usually have a meltdown so have a chat with Josie at 4am in the morning and she puts me on the right path. Having someone who you trust with your ideas helps me so much too. My process is then laughingly not really a process at all. It’s more like a chaotic juggling act. A pretty awesome one though.

A Perfect Love Update
So bloody excited. The amazing Louisa, from LM Creations Has been hard at work on my gorgeous cover for A Perfect Love.
It’s freaking amazing and I can’t wait to share it with you all. But, you’re all going to have to wait until next month. Sorry! Yes I’m a tease and I know it.
I have a tour coming up Shade’s of Rose in June for A Perfect Moment, and after that, I’ll then stop the teasing and show you the goods!
