I don’t think writers are wired to take vacations, or at least I’m not. Whenever I go somewhere I bring a notebook so I can write stuff or draw character designs in the evenings, and on days when I don’t write it’s mainly to watch movies or play computer games to give my muses something to chew on so they don’t burn out. I like doing laundry because it gives me a chance to stare into space and daydream. My characters never leave me, ever.
