You can get the same effect of a lens flare with close-detail descriptions, combined with breaks to new paragraphs.

It never occurred to me at the time, but Animaniacs had some brilliant songs, didn’t it? Oh, sure, musically they were quite conventional, but the lyrics - I have no idea who the show’s lyricist was off the top of my head, but their work was phenomenal.
