It never occurred to me at the time, but Animaniacs had some brilliant songs, didn’t it? Oh, sure, musically they were quite conventional, but the lyrics - I have no idea who the show’s lyricist was off the top of my head, but their work was phenomenal.

I mean, listen to this; the scansion is dead perfect, and I’m pretty sure some of those rhymes should be illegal, and that’s not even the centrepiece of the episode in which it appears - it’s just a throwaway fill...
