What stories would you like to see?

Hi all,

I was wondering what stories are you really wanting to see from me? Perhaps the next segment in a current series? Something brand new?

I'd love to know what readers are really interested and patiently waiting to see.

So, give me a shout out!

Checking in with everyone

How is everyone doing?

I know the COVID virus has hit everyone hard. Anxiety, fear, and many other emotions run amuck. Those are to be expected as we all hang in and try to rise above the grip of trepidation around us.

As a nurse, I work in the hospital, just not on the front lines caring for COVID patients. In that, I've very thankful though I feel for the staff tasked with such a huge responsibility. For those special people, I wish them everything they desire in having the courage to step up during this time.

I'm still writing, though it's slow. The crisis has impacted my creativity as it has many other authors, leaving us struggling to turn off the world's issues and focus on living in an alternate universe where the only worries that exist are the ones we create.

I shall persevere in my writing as we all do the same with all the aspects of our lives. We can get through this, with patience and intelligent choices as we take things day by day.

So, hang in there. Stay safe and we'll keeping pressing onward. For, one day, we'll beat this crisis and earn our regular lives back.

Time to share kitty pictures!

This is Dora, my soon to be 16-year-old calico. Sadly, Baby, the long-haired orange kitty passed several months back, leaving Dora as an only child.

She's great health-wise, except for extensive arthritis, thus the stairs in the background to assist her in getting to her favorite spots. I have to give her a steroid tablet every three days and Miralax along with it, but she's holding well.

Anyone else have a kitty photo to share?

Welcome to the New Year!

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season and wish all the best for the upcoming year.

I have a few stories in the making that I'm eager to finish out. That's the plans for this year, to get busy on the writing side of life and put out some new material for all to read and enjoy!

Tomorrow is the day! A Web of Vengeance is almost here!
Taryn's entire life has revolved around a single goal—revenge against her grandfather's murderers. Except she can't find answers to their identities anywhere. Her ability to achieve invisibility is pretty useless, and her family won't let the secret of her adoption out of the bag.
Quint is a hunter, sent by a secret group called Dalliance, to track down a serial killer who takes out his victims with psionic blasts. He's certain he can handle the killer, but it's Taryn, his quarry's target, that he's not sure about.
Taryn looks to right her past in order to secure her future. The only way she can do so is to trust Quint, the man who may or may not be who he says he is. Love conquers all, or so they say. Too bad Taryn doesn't believe in love.
Excerpt:

I’ll find them and make them pay, Poppy. I will.
She opened her eyes and took a deep breath, willing away the anxiety and fear that always came with that particular recollection—the sight of her beloved grandfather dead on the floor and being carted away by his killers. The worst night of her young life at six years old. And the day she made the solid promise that drove her still.
Those days haunted her, yet seemed such a distant past. The more time marched by, the fuzzier things became. Often, she wondered if her endless search for those culprits was a mere futility. It had been so long. Hundreds of hours on the computer netted her nothing. Perhaps it never would. She always came to a dead end. Frustration built even as her once newfound hope began to falter.
But then what?
She took her vow seriously. Yet, her hands seemed to be tied.
Is it worth it? Am I wasting all my time on a mystery that will forever remain unsolved?
How many times had she asked herself that question? Just about as many as there were drops of rain in a storm. Still, she stayed the course. She simply didn’t know what else to do.
Lately, she’d been restless. Needing something more. Her life was all right. Not grand or wonderful. Just okay. Status quo ruled, and she’d begun to find it lacking. But change was hard, especially when she had no trail to follow or arrow to point the way.
No use crying over spilled milk or the fact that life is hard. She was in the boat along with everyone else she knew. There didn’t seem to be any favors or free passes, even for a previous orphan.
