Dark's Destiny arriving on May 20th. Here's a sneak peek!
I'm thrilled to announce that Dark's Destiny will be released by JMS Books on May 20th!
Here's a sneak peek!
Steeped in magical talent but cursed by a prophesy, Dark would much rather fix up old houses than enter the melee between good and evil in the realm of wizardry. Too bad fate had other ideas the second he stepped into the small town bookstore to collect an ancient spell book and found a woman that not only possessed remarkable gifts, but also brightened up his dull life with her mere presence. Protecting her from evil wizards would be difficult enough, but an easy task compared to guarding his heart.
Destiny Jones’s life has been a roller coaster of late, after taking over her late, great aunt’s bookstore. Then a mystical customer shows up to collect a previously purchased book and Destiny knows he’s trouble. The extent of her magical experience includes rumors of low-wattage witches in the family, unless one cared to include her ability to hold two-sided conversations with her cat. Now, she finds herself reading runes in ancient spells and facing off against scary dark wizards in her spare time.
Dark’s burdened with ensuring the balance of good and evil. His prophesy is clearly written and his fate spelled out from his birth—to stand against the evil forces, he’d sacrifice his sanity and most likely his life. Yet, this bright light of sunshine, named Destiny, inspires him to defy all that and fight for the greatest reason of all.

Just signed a contract for a new book! Dark's Destiny will be out soon!
Hi all,
I'm thrilled to announce I just signed a contract with JMS Publishing for my latest story entitled Dark's Destiny! This has been an epic story and one that embraced a new genre for me--fantasy!
We're aiming for May, 2023 for a release date. I'll definitely keep you posted.
Oh, in case you're wondering what's next. Well, I started a brand new Misfit Shifters story and it's moving along nicely. I'm excited to return to the world of the Bluebird Valley Preserve and all the unusual, but addictive characters that make that sanctuary their home.
Here's the unofficial blurb for those wanting a sneak peek of Dark's Destiny:

Today's Reflection
Hi all,
I wanted to share with you today.
Betty White would have been 101 today. I thought back to last year and the huge surge in charitable donations for animals. The great outpouring of support and respect for a remarkable lady.
So, today, I thought about how I could make a difference. The world is cold, dark, and filled with anger and fighting. It seems we see so little happiness and good things. We all know things have to change, but many just don't know where to begin.
I throw out this idea. We don't have to be rich or famous to make a difference. Not at all. The world is filled with small, beautiful acts that are immensely meaningful to others. Perhaps donate to your favorite charity. Even $2 or $5 can make a difference. It all adds up. Adopt a homeless pet. Volunteer for a couple of hours. Buy a stranger a cup of coffee. Smile as your pass someone on the sidewalk. Compliment a child and watch them beam with happiness. Offer a nice word to someone. Call or text a friend you haven't spoken with in a while just to tell them you are thinking of them.
I can't help but think, in the troubled times we are in, that there's so much a single person can do. No, we don't have to save the world ourselves. But, one small act of kindness can start a trend. You never know. Maybe the one thing you do makes all the difference in someone else's life.

Stay warm and safe out there!
Hello all,
As the snow flies and the temperatures drop, please be watchful and safe. I hope everyone is warm and cozy, pets included, during this crazy snow storm.
Take care of yourselves and others.
Now, I'll escape back to the writing cave!

Wow! It's been a while!
Hi all,
I can't believe it's been almost a year since I've emerged from the chaos of real life to reconnect with the readers in my beloved writing world! Time sure does fly!
I've been trying to catch up with emails and to scour over the ideas I've got jotted down or stories started to try to get back to the land of strong, fun characters that tend to get into trouble on their way to love and a happily ever after.
Forgive me for an extended absence. My full time job has been stealing much of my life as well as the other chores that seem to always be hanging there waiting to be done, only to require it done over again soon after. Repeat and repeat from there. As many of you probably know personally, there's always something going on.
Please know, I'm trying to make a concerted effort to make progress on my next book.
Which one, you might ask?
Well, I haven't narrowed it down yet! LOL. We'll see what characters awake from their slumber and start whispering their tales. Or, perhaps, someone brand new will appear and demand to jump to the front of the line.
I can promise you this: An adventure is in the making!
Take care and know that I haven't forgotten you!

Nate arrives Saturday!
Mark your calendars. This Saturday, Dec. 4th is the release for Nate! Reindeer shifter Donner intends to spend his precious time off before Christmas relaxing. That includes hanging out at a local watering hole when a tall, dark, and handsome shifter walks in. Just as he’s figuring out how to hang onto Nate a little longer, he gets a call. Seems his brother stole a certain sleigh and Donner’s tasked with bringing it back by Christmas Eve. The last thing he wants to do is chase after his wayward brother on his days off. The only bright side is that the shifter he didn't want to leave behind agrees to tag along. Heartbroken, Nate leaves the Bluebird Valley Preserve for a much needed vacation only to land in the middle of karaoke night. What starts out as a casual hook up turns into a wild goose chase with the man who stirs emotions in Nate that he’d previously shut away. With nothing more pressing and unable to let Donner slip through his fingers, Nate agrees to follow wherever their crazy journey might lead. While he leaves the Bluebird Valley Preserve behind, he can’t get the place out of his mind. Home is where the heart is, but can it be in two places at the same time? Trust isn't Nate's strong suit, and he’s long since given up on finding love. Yet, deep down, he knows Donner's special. Just how special remains to be seen. I just typed "The End"!
Hi all,
I just typed "The End" and hit the submission button on my latest novel. Yes! Such a good feeling! Long time, no post. I know. Life has been beyond crazy.
The pandemic has caused many disruptions in people's lives. As a nurse, my work took over my life. Still rules it, truth be told. But, I managed, writing one day per week (as I work the other 6 at the day job) to finally complete this story. Perseverance is the key. Don't give up on your aspirations when the times get difficult. Just keep plugging along. It worked for the tortoise, it'll work for the rest of us! Hang in there and be safe! Oh, in case you were wondering which book I just finished...Nate's story. Misfit Shifters Series, book 3. I'm so excited to tell his story. He's had a rough time, so sad. However, things are looking up for him. I'll keep you posted as I know more! Thanks for following! Cheyenne

Where has time gone?
Hi all,
It's almost Thanksgiving. Incredible how quickly time passes, seemingly faster every year. Although, this year has been anything but typical.
I hope everyone is well, staying safe, and hanging in during this crisis. There is hope. We just have to make it through the storm to get to the pretty blue skies and sunshine again.
