More puppies...
I can't believe it's been only a week since we picked up our two new family members. They've already gained weight and are falling into a routine. Yesterday we played outside for a while since the weather here was beautiful.
Well, they played, I cleaned up leaves and moved wood that had been split and was ready for the cabin (and a bonfire.) One Potato, Two Potato, Dead hit number one on the Kobo cozy list. Thank you readers for bringing Angie and the River Vista crew into your lives.
Yesterday was all about spring cleaning. Today is a repeat. After I get my words in. What is one job you hate during the spring cleaning process? For me? It's gardening.

Puppies...And a new release
Tuesday is release day for ONE POTATO, TWO POTATO, DEAD.
Here's the blurb - Angie Turner’s restaurant, The County Seat, is conveniently located near a first-class farmers market—so her menu is full of fresh ingredients. Monet is one of Hope’s teachers—but Angie’s boyfriend knows him from his youthful days in England. But soon, the bon vivant is no longer vivant. When Monet is found dead, with Hope’s prints on the wine glass next to him, it will be Angie who has to sauce out the real killer . . .Monday is a Facebook party with some of my cozy author friends.Tuesday is release day. (And I'll be sending my newsletter.)Wednesday I'm over at Dru's Musing - Or Angie is...Thursday we're doing a twitter chat with my publisher. Snow Day...Again
Don't get me wrong. I like snow. It's pretty. The sun dances over the top making it sparkle. It's fun to cross country ski in. But seriously, I'm done.
So this winter has confirmed the fact that moving to a mountain cabin in the woods where it snows all winter is not the perfect retirement plan for me. Did you see the Shining? Snow fever. At least that's the explanation if you don't believe in ghosts and evil.
We're having snow today. Bitter cold for two days. Then it drops back into spring. I'm not getting my hopes up. At least, not yet.
What's your favorite spring flower? Lynn

Accountability
I realized I posted my January plans, but never really followed up. Even with the unusual circumstances (#losingbothourboys, #Homerlove, #Demonlove) I got most of the stuff on my list done.
But there's one item that was on January's list and February's list, and is looking like it might stay on March's list if I don't do something about it today. Edits for the Bull Rider's Brother (Lynn Collins). It's a secret baby/cowboy/reunion story and I love it. But I haven't been putting that love into actions to get it back up for sale and out into the world again.
Why? Not sure, but I think I feel like my Collin's pen name is my third job. Maybe I just need to make sure I schedule time to work my third job, just like my other two. Or maybe I'm just busy.
Either way, as soon as this is posted, I'm going in to key those edits. #timetogetstuffdoneWhat's one thing you've been putting off? Do you know why? Lynn

February musings
I've started writing the next book in the Farm to Fork series. I love visiting home with Angie and Felicia. With the carnival and the state fair going on, you know there's going to be excitement. But when you mix in a Top Chef style restaurant wars competition, the kitchens are hotter than the late August Idaho summer sun.
I'm working with my agent on a couple of changes in my writing career. Hold on for more information, I'll share as soon as the ink's dry. But just between the two of us? I'm so excited.
We headed out to the cabin for a winter weekend. It was cold!!! But it gave me a great excuse to sit inside and read this weekend. Looking on the sunny side of life...
If you're ready for spring, make sure you check out my latest release in the Tourist Trap series. Corned Beef and Casualties is available now in digital and audio. For you print lovers, there will be a collection coming up next year for all the novellas. Stay tuned for more information.
Stay warm...Lynn

February wishes
January wasn't a great month here at Casa Cahoon. We lost both our boys and we're still grieving.
February is starting out warm and lovely, maybe to make up for the Polar Vortex last week. So to celebrate, Corned Beef and Casualties is releasing tomorrow. Filled with green and sunshine and happiness, it's the perfect bite of South Cove to get you out of your winter doldrums. And hopefully, me as well. :)
Corned Beef and CasualtiesReleasing February 5th, 2019South Cove, California, is celebrating St. Patrick’s Day—and there’s going to be a parade of suspects . . .Jill Gardner’s store, Coffee, Books, and More, is raking in the green as her little coastal town holds a big festival for St. Patrick’s Day. But the locals aren’t exactly feeling the luck of the Irish, thanks to the rowdy behavior of some of the tourists who are pouring in. Then a woman who just visited Jill’s shop is found dead near the shore. The fireworks display on the beach may have already happened, but the real fireworks have just begun . .

January blues
I'm sick. My dog's sick. And our temps are supposed to be single digits later this week.
Sounds like a good day to make soup. Nothing heavy, just a lovely broth with something filling. Maybe I'll find that chicken tortellini soup recipe I was considering making.
What's your favorite 'I'm sick food?

Cruise musing
Okay, so after I freaked out for months about this cruise stuff, I had a great time. Not enough sunning, swimming, or reading, but a lot of fun.
One thing I was disappointed in was the food. Okay, in the dining room, but not amazing. However, I found a place where I could get vanilla soft serve at any time, so it made me happy.
Haiti was beautiful, especially the trip to the private beach. Found some amazing shells. Swam in the Caribbean Sea. Visited a Haitian village for tourists. Loved looking out the window that morning and seeing mountains.
Jamaica was pretty. I think if I go back, I'm booking a resort to be able to enjoy the ocean and relax. Touristy hip strip had a lot of pushy sales people. Margaritaville had great food and their own swimming area. Cruising itself was fun. After I got used to the movement of the ship. Would I do it again? Definitely. Do you have cruise stories?
