Litter Wacky...

So, we love cats! This is a picture of our oldest cat, Percy. She is now 15. We found her when she was a kitten, lying in the middle of the road, helpless and not dead. My daughter, who was three at the time, held her while we rushed the tiny kitten to the vet. She was so little and scared that for the first few weeks I pouched her in my shirt like a

New Words

So, there's a new word floating around. Funny? Yep, I think so. My husband received it in an email. He sent it to me. At least it's something new in email and not the same old stories.

I hope none of my readers or followers feel this way! :D

Ready? Here's the word:

Exhaustipated...

What makes this word funny? The meanings of the two words smashed together. It's a bit funny on it's own,

Yep! It was Monday...

One of those, "Can I just go home and start over?" days!

It started out fine. We had a little sleet in the wee hours. I didn't have to be in super early, so I could take my time getting ready. I arrived to class ten minutes early, turned on the computer, logged in and located the syllabus. The green button on the projector remote clicked twice below my thumb... ADD moment: what would I do

What a Monday! Ahhh!

So, it was back to work yesterday after a nice month away. Classes began, and this semester I have two classes in another building. The Department Chair of that building orientated me last semester and told me that it would be best if I brought a flash drive along with my presentations, knowing the network...

Well, twenty minutes into the new semester, I remembered the flash drive, of course.

A Bit of an Excerpt For Friday's Fiction

The following excerpt is from the second book in my series, The Gifted Ones, The Dream. Those who read The Fairytale were left a bit befuddled in the end. The second book introduces four more teens with special gifts of their own. This excerpt is a bit graphic and might scare younger readers. This book is still in the rough draft stage, so I'm not looking for editing advice, please. Here you are,

Back from the Holidays

I'm back from the holidays, and stepping off into another book mini tour! My paranormal romance Dead Perfect will be on tour next week, provided I can get the necessary documents finished. I'll be completing my interview today, and guest posts. Who with, you ask, am I touring? Good question! I use a company that I find very efficient and reasonable. Since this is Thursday, let's see if you can

Happy Holidays!

Happy holidays! I have changed up my blog a bit and hope to find more time to work on it. I'm kicking off some new Memes after the busy holidays are over. For now, I just have so much going on with my buy a paperback, get two digital books for children and young adults. It's been working out well. I love to give away free books, especially for kids at this time of year!

I've also been working

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving! To keep it short, after an early dinner, when the game is on, think I'll sneak in some writing. If I hold my hands just right, the KTS doesn't bother me so much. Going to have to get it fixed soon, though. I really need to complete the book I'm working on because I have to finish others. If only I didn't have to work... Frustrating dilemma.

NaNoWriMo Update

So, I don't know if I will be able to write 50,000, or the 75,000 I wanted to write. I think I have KT. Have to make an appointment to check it out. At least the surgeries today can be done laproscopically (sp) so I might be back at it before the month is over. I have been doing some Yoga exercises to relieve it. We'll see what happens. It has really slowed me down on writing.

Divine-- A Sunday Kind of Poem

You sit up there
on your high thrones,
a deity to fear.
Who is it that you
think you are
to His sheep so near?
Acting like the God
we know, yet thieving
lying, seizing, in
false effort to make peace.
You're nothing but
the one who comes
before ascendance
to One you
don't want us
to love.
Some follow you,
as it is written,
a nation wrought asunder,
but I refuse oh
spawn of Hell,
my God is my salvation.
You may divide
the milk and honey
to keep for your own fold,
But you, oh fake one
standing there,
will never gain my soul.
Robinhood, you are becoming
taking what is mine,
But one thing you will
never take
is that which is
Divine.
