A Solid Stand Up Game

Muhammad Rasheed – [posted photo] Ugh. Please don't let this fight happen. I have no interest in seeing Couture vs Toney II.

Muhammad Rasheed - For some reason all Laila can see is Rousey's stand up game. She seems blinded to her Judo + Arm Bar of Death primary weapons.
Donnell SeaSick Swinson - Too much like her father. Remember when Ali fought that martial arts guy back in the day? It didn't go well...
Brett Barton - She is just trying to be relevant.
I like Laila but she ducked some potential dangerous fights to retire with a great record.
Rousey would break her in 1/2 even with the weight difference
Jay Mac - It depends on the rules of engagement. Will they box only, or will MMA rules apply.
If it's the former, then Laila gets the nod. But if it's the latter, then Ronda's got the upper hand...
Muhammad Rasheed - Brett Barton wrote: " I like Laila but she ducked some potential dangerous fights..."
She said she put it out there that she wanted to fight these folks, but they immediately started saying SHE was ducking THEM on the rumor mill.
Muhammad Rasheed - Jay Mac wrote: "Will they box only, or will MMA rules apply."
It would be retarded for either of them to agree to a fight in which their opponent had 99% of the advantage.
Muhammad Rasheed - (notice that I didn't say that YOU was retarded. chill)
Jay Mac - No need for the disclaimer sir.
I'm not saying that either of them would agree to one style of fighting. I'm just making an observation as to who's best at what they do.
I think that when Laila is talking about mixing it up with Ronda, that she's speaking of boxing and not rasslin'.
Tony Boyd - Noooooooooooooooooooo! Just NO!
Brett Barton - @donnelDude even fought against Ali with a broken leg.
It explains the weird tactics.
That fight is hard to watch even with Judo Gene as the referee.
Scott Tucker - Who's rules?
Muhammad Rasheed - Hopefully the "Sit the Hell Down & Stay Retired, Laila" rules.
Brett Barton - ^lmao
Muhammad Rasheed - I don't feel like disliking Rousey. "I ain't got no quarrel with that Rousey - no Rousey ever called me Nigger."
Brett Barton - "No MMA person can ever beat me"-boxers everywhere-
"Well I took the boxer to the ground and submitted them"-MMA fighters everywhere-
Muhammad Rasheed - smh lol
Muhammad Rasheed - When MMA folk actually learn how to really box, there will be no reason to ever watch the sweet science events again. It's just a matter of time.
Brett Barton - I like boxing for what it is.
I like wrestling for what it is.
I like BJJ/Judo for what it is.
I can watch them all separate or mixed.
It's all good.
Jay Mac - She's too pretty to be boxing.
What, where'd I hear that before?
Brett Barton - ^mothers everywhere
Psy Kyomynde Yobutishyne - MRasheed wrote: "When MMA folk actually learn how to really box, there will be no reason to ever watch the sweet science events again. It's just a matter of time."
Boxing works under its limiting rules. MMA fighters will probably never adopt "pure" boxing stances and tactics because kicking and grappling can nullify them. Now, when MMA fighters stop headhunting and learn to use body blows, they will become even more dangerous.
Muhammad Rasheed - I've seen this one fighter... Martin Kampmann... who not only is tall for a welterweight at 6 ft, generally towering over other opponents, but impressively to me he uses solid classic boxing in his fight style. He has good muay thai and jiu jitsu, too, but I loved that when the fight first starts (except for that one-punch destruction he received from Hendricks that time) will intercept his opponent's forward aggression with a rock solid jab and combos. Like a force field. Only if they manage to get past that, that he usually uses to great effect making him one of my personal favs, will the other stuff come into play. He's perfectly content keeping people a the end of that jab. Of course I don't expect ALL MMA guys to eventually fight that way -- even all boxers don't fight in the classical technical style from the outside -- but I do look forward to when they are finally as dangerous standing up on average as the average boxer is.
Brett Barton - Many have boxing talent but it depends on who they are fighting to showcase it. Sometimes it's best not to box with someone.
Bj Penn Rickson GracieNick Diaz
All decent boxers but didn't always use it depending on who they fight.
Muhammad Rasheed - None of these three can "box." They are confident in their stand up, and use their fists aggressively, but none demonstrate strong boxing skills. Kampmann did.
Wondering Knight - I thought Diaz was a pretty good MMA boxer. I thought Holy Holm would have beat down that chick in her first fight but she barely scraped by even on the feet.
Muhammad Rasheed - Wondering Knight wrote: "I thought Diaz was a pretty good MMA boxer."
Yeah, "pretty good" in that limited, and kind of wild way MMA fighters "box," sure. But the way the top MMA standup guys interpret boxing is precisely what gave the former pound-for-pound world champion James Toney the confidence he'd be able to just walk up in there and reign for a million years until they had to call hospice on him.
MMA fighters don't box except in very rare instances, like the above mentioned Kampmann. Even Rory MacDonald displayed some ACTUAL solid boxing skills when he beat the shit out of BJ Penn... the prodigy finding it impossible to get past Rory's force field of impenetrable jabs & mini-combos from a clear solid knowledge of Classic Boxing.

Quackin' Like a Duck

Jay Mac – [shared link] Classic boxing. What Floyd ain't gone do; like mix it up. Get ready for the great chicken chase on Cinco De Mayo...

Marvin Hagler v Sugar Ray Leonard (87) Highlights
Jay Mac - Aight, Pacman - catch the chicken...
ROCKY II - Chicken Chase
LaVerne Mack - Sugar was my all time fav back in the day!!!!
Muhammad Rasheed - One of my Filipino staff members is quietly anti-black. Never anything crazy, he just believes everything he sees on tv and genuinely doesn't care for blacks because of it. Sometimes he can really get on my nerves to the point where I no longer encourage long discussions with him on pop culture stuff, because I don't want to end up subconsciously unfair to him when it's time for his Annual Appraisal. lol
But I want Mayweather to beat the shit out of Pacquiao SO BAD because of this damn kid. omG...! A s soon as he does, I'm going to pull my chair up to his desk and study his every facial tick, like the Six-Fingered Man. "Tell me: How do you FEEL. And be honest."
LaVerne Mack – LOL Muhammad !
I think Floyd picked a good time to fight him. Because I think if they had scheduled the fight prior to Pacquiao getting knocked out, I think he would have taken Floyd. But I don't see Floyd losing to him now.
Muhammad Rasheed - No. With Pacquiao's style, Floyd would've treated him no different than he did Hatton.
I think he deliberately let the hype build over this fight so he could create this "fight of the century" talk. Floyd has proven to be an EXCELLENT marketer. I expect him to -- as usual -- make Manny fight Floyd's fight, and completely neutralize all of his weapons. And in HIS home town.
LaVerne Mack - Ok. But I think Floyd was vulnerable a couple years ago. To the point were I truly believe Manny had him shook! The build up would have been bigger a few years ago. I'm glad it's happening tho! Fight party already planned.
Muhammad Rasheed - By its nature, the build up is stronger over time. The more time you have for people to talk about it, the bigger the hype. I think in the very beginning Floyd was extremely suspicious of this tiny little dude moving up in weight but retaining his knock-out power, but other than the juicing concerns, Manny wasn't really on his radar. And then the fans started talking all that trash. He never fed into it at all, but just let it ride, watching the hype build.
And then, with 2 fights left on his Showtime contract... a contract that states he can make OVER his guaranteed $200 million for 6 fights according to QUALITY OF OPPONENT... he said he wanted to fight Pacquiao next.
This never stopped being the Mayweather Show. Trust me.
Jay Mac - Man, Pacman ain't racist. Don't take it out on Pacman.
LOL!
Muhammad Rasheed - lol I'm not taking it out on him. I want Manny to go down because it's time.
Jay Mac - Dude, Floyd been ducking Manny for a reason.
Let's just let them settle it in the ring.
#TheGreatChickenChase
LaVerne Mack - If by some chance Floyd goes down Muhammad Rasheed, don't mind me if I trash talk just a wee bit. I've always like to see Floyd fight but his out of the ring antics are just too much. I always said he needs a good butt whooping to get it together. Manny was my go to guy for the job!!
Muhammad Rasheed - Fortunately for you, after Manny is beaten to humiliation (twice), I'm going to exhaust myself clowning all of my Filipino staff to have any left for you.
You're welcome.
LaVerne Mack - LMAO! We shall see!
Muhammad Rasheed – Jay Mac wrote: “What Floyd ain't gone do; like mix it up.”
1.) It's been a while since Floyd was able to stay on the outside and potshot the whole fight. Since he's gotten older and slowed down some, he likes to fight on the inside a lot and impose his strength and weight upon the opponent. All of your jokes are circa 2002. lol
2.) I prefer a well-rounded technical fighter. Someone with equally great defense and offense. Boxing is a fully functional close combat discipline, enabling you to inflict a damaging offense upon your opponent while taking very little damage in return. That aspect of it is why I'm a fan of the sport. I have very little respect for fighters who let go of their defensive skills to entertain the less knowledgeable lay-fan.
Jay Mac - Man that style of boxing is a straight up snooze fest for me. I can't stand it.
Muhammad Rasheed - It seems like those kinds of fans will enjoy the Toughman Competition more since it isn't as technical.
Muhammad Rasheed - ...or put those big Hulk gloves on some toddlers and let 'em go at it.
Muhammad Rasheed - The Sweet Science is for scientists.
Jay Mac - Yep. Action!
Running. Boring.
LOL!
Muhammad Rasheed - See, the fact that you refer to defense as "running" means you need to watch some toddlers windmilling instead. lol
Muhammad Rasheed - That'll pep you up.
Muhammad Rasheed - I love MMA, but I hate that their stand up game is so damn SLOPPY! Learn to box, f*ckers!!!
Jay Mac - LOL!
Defense is good, but offense is even better.
Muhammad Rasheed - And BOTH are perfection.
Muhammad Rasheed - Now watch Floyd beat the breaks off your boy without taking a blow in return.
Jay Mac - That's why the 2000 Baltimore Ravens were a total snooze fest. All defense, and no offense....
Muhammad Rasheed - FOOTBALL AIN'T FIGHTIN'! Who cares what they do???
Jay Mac - Pacman really ain't my boy. I just don't respect boxers dodging other boxers. And if they do, there must be a good reason...
Muhammad Rasheed - *sighhh...*
Muhammad Rasheed - I'm not going to have that discussion with you, Jay. You already made me promise not to call you names. hahaha
Jay Mac - Offense matters, otherwise the contest is boring, no matter the sport...
Muhammad Rasheed - It's only boring if you don't understand what you are looking at. I was like that too when I was four years old...
Jay Mac - So you can express yourself without name calling?
LOL!
Muhammad Rasheed - Not when the other dude is pushing my buttons. lol
Jay Mac - LOL!
Four?
I understand the art, I just don't like boring.
Jay Mac - LOL!
Muhammad Rasheed - Floyd didn't duck anybody.
Muhammad Rasheed - You don't understand the art. GetouttaHere...
Jay Mac - ^^^ Com'n, man?
Do you really believe that (ducking)?
LaVerne Mack - ...except Manny! (Ok ill mind my business)
Muhammad Rasheed - Absolutely.
Muhammad Rasheed - In fact, the idea of it is dumb to me.
Jay Mac - Okaaaaaaaay.......
SMH
Muhammad Rasheed - Laila gave an interview where they asked her about this match up, and asked if she thought Floyd was "ducking." She gave her POV as a fight insider and said "No." She said they used to say she was ducking people, too, and it wasn't true.
She said it was all about the negotiations, and what it REALLY came down to was greed.
Jay Mac - Ok, ask Mike Tyson.
Muhammad Rasheed - Ask Tyson what?
Muhammad Rasheed - If Floyd was ducking?
Muhammad Rasheed - I can't trust Mike's opinion on that. He has a history of repeating whatever dumb shit the people around him are saying, for one. For two, he is jealous as hell of Floyd right now, and it's eating him up.
Jay Mac - @Muhammad, you won't believe Mike - then perhaps you'll take it straight from the horse's mouth? This dude did not want to fight Pacquiao, out of his own mouth - because he's concerned with his health.
And if he hadn't got shamed into taking this fight now, there would be no deal.
Floyd Mayweather: 'Common sense' Manny Pacquiao has used PEDs
Muhammad Rasheed - "... declaring he wasn't scared to face the Filipino star and again questioning Pacquiao's quick ascension through weight classes."
[twisty mouth]
That's literally what I JUST said to LaVerne. Are you even paying attention? He wasn't scared to face him; as a professional sportsman he deserved a level playing field and a fair competition. So he stipulated that in order for Manny to take part in Floyd's event, the Filipino fighter needed to comply to Floyd's rules. In the beginning, Manny refused. Now we can take that one of two ways:
1.) He was juicing and didn't want the full scrutiny of the world on him for it where he would more than likely get punished.
2.) He was very falsely under the impression that both he and Floyd were business equals. They absolutely were not. This was literally Floyd's event. He sits on both sides of the negotiation table as the athlete-talent AND the suit calling the big money shots. Manny probably thought they both were contractors working for the usual suspects, which is the real reason those early negotiations failed as Manny insisted on a 50/50 split. Laila's assessment was correct.
Jay Mac - Has Pacquiao tested positive for PED's or roids?
Who is Floyd that a another top boxer has to comply to his testing demands? When did he become the boxing commissioner?
That's like Tom Brady refusing to play the Ravens because he suspected that Ray Ray was juicing.
All that spells scared to me, doc....
Muhammad Rasheed - Floyd finds himself in the unusual and unprecedented position of fighting his opponent in the ring, and then paying his opponent the agreed upon fees when it is over from Floyd's gate purse.
Muhammad Rasheed - Jay Mac wrote: "Who is Floyd that a another top boxer has to comply to his testing demands?"
That's exactly the opinion that Manny had in the beginning, and why the early negotiations fell through, but he certainly understands it now. Who is Floyd?
Floyd is the Boss. It's HIS event. Literally. Floyd set the date at 2 May, and EVERYBODY scrambled to make it happen because Floyd said so.
Jay Mac - Floyd ain't paying nothing.
LOL!
You should be his p.r. rep....
Muhammad Rasheed - As soon as Manny finally understood where he really stood in the order of things -- he is a contractor working for Floyd -- then things proceeded.
The only people that keep using the word "ducking," are those that are still confused as to the reality of events unfolding.
Muhammad Rasheed - Jay Mac wrote: "Floyd ain't paying nothing."
You should stop now. You don't know what is actually going on. You're just going to embarrass yourself.
Muhammad Rasheed - I'm done, Jay.
Muhammad Rasheed - What I just laid out is exactly how it is. I'm not going to argue it with you. It doesn't matter if you don't want to believe it or not. These are indeed the facts of the situation. Manny definitely understands now, and it is why the fight went through. He didn't before.
Jay Mac - Yeah ok.
PPV sales, ticket sales somehow tranlates to Floyd paying Manny?
Jay Mac - Manny agreed to all of Floyd's bullcrap to kill all of his excuses not to fight him. Manny just wans to fight the dude to prove to the world once and for all, exactly why Floyd's been ducking him.
See you in May.
LOL!
Muhammad Rasheed - Jay Mac wrote: "PPV sales, ticket sales somehow tranlates to Floyd paying Manny?”
That money goes to the Money Team, and Floyd peels off what the Pacquiao camp negotiated in their fees and keeps the bulk of it like any other business. Manny is a contractor working for Floyd.
Muhammad Rasheed - When Manny was falsely under the impression that they were both contractors, he didn't understand why Floyd flat out rejected all "50/50" talk, and interpreted it as "ducking," which is more than likely where that talk was probably coming from originally. It is not the case.
Muhammad Rasheed - I'm going to pull my chair up to my staff member, and to your house: "Tell me how does Pacquiao's spanking makes you FEEL? Be honest, this is for posterity."
Muhammad Rasheed - lol
Muhammad Rasheed - Jay Mac: "Hey... you have six fingers on your right hand!"
Jay Mac - LOL!

Obama versus World War III

Chris Suess – [shared link] Dear Leader sticking up for his Hommies in Iran?

Jason Woodings - Just when you think you couldn't hate him more....
Muhammad Rasheed - ???
Muhammad Rasheed - Why would I hate the president if he threatened to attack someone who was threatening to start WW3?
Chris Suess - lol... cause that is what he would do. WW3 has already started.
Muhammad Rasheed - I think WW3 almost started when Israel destroyed the airfields of several Muslim countries, starting the 6 Day War. If they attack Iran, the other countries will help the latter retaliate, and the whole thing may not end the way that one did. It would be America/Israel vs the entire Middle East... or something similar. The President is letting Israel know he is not playing that game, so stand down.
Muhammad Rasheed - Obviously they are trying to force his hand, to help cause more dirt.
Chris Suess - Sure... or he could just be standing with the Muslims like he told us he would a long time ago.
Muhammad Rasheed - Are you referencing a quote, or is this part of you all's "Muslim Kenyan Socialist" claptrap?
Muhammad Rasheed - [From the Article Comments] Larry wrote @ 08/03/2015 at 5:12 pm "Israel has been claiming that Iran is six months away from a nuclear weapon since the 1990’s. I do not believe that Israel is our true friend. And I am glad that President Obama is doing something to reign them in. It is way past time that an American President has done this."
At least somebody had some sense.
Chris Suess - it's in his book hommie.
Muhammad Rasheed - I read both his books before I decided to vote for him, Chris. Please stop saying stuff like that. I love his books.
Chris Suess - I guess we both just understood the words that Ayers wrote for him differently. And No I will not stop saying it.

Partisan Game-Playing & Foolishness

Muhammad Rasheed - [shared link]

Arrest and Try John Boehner for Violating the Logan Act
Fred Pomeroy - Since politicians these days seem to be more loyal to their party than the country, would their even be talk of an investigation if Boehner was the same party as the attorney general (no matter which that was)?
Muhammad Rasheed - I'm open to that discussion after this traitor gets flogged and imprisoned
Muhammad Rasheed - ...with a footprint on his ass.
Fred Pomeroy - I am not saying Boehner was right is doing what he did, but that the attorney general seems very quiet on misdoings of his own party members. As for Boehner, it is hard to claim patriotism when undermining what the government is doing.
Muhammad Rasheed - Fred Pomeroy wrote: "...the attorney general seems very quiet on misdoings of his own party members."
The word "seems" sounds inherently subjective, Fred. Is this something that is actually true, or just something that his uninformed political rivals like to say about him because they function on a "Team Rah Rah!" mentality that always tears down the rival players no matter what?
The Attorney General went after sexual assault epidemics in Native American tribal lands, and they also went hard after Intellectual Property violations and theft (both domestic and international), and neither of these items seem to be particularly GOP oriented. Do you have proof of this claim outside of popular, partisan-flavored barbershop gossip?
Fred Pomeroy - What has he said about Hillary's recent news? I haven't heard any quotes by him on her use of personal email for official business. Her actions may be "legal", but I would prefer our country's leaders do what is right instead of legal. When I was working for the government, many regulations were for the purpose of avoiding the APPEARANCE of wrong doing. Are higher levels of government exempt from these regulations?
Muhammad Rasheed - Well, considering he went hard after a sexual assault epidemic and massive Intellectual Property theft, I find it difficult to consider this email thing on that level of seriousness to warrant the attorney general's attention.
If the full investigation reveals that it was actually a big deal, and not just an overblown partisan smear tactic hoping to negatively affect her chance of being elected in 2016, then I'm sure he'll make an appropriate statement.
Fred Pomeroy - You don't consider the ethics of a potential leader of the free world to be a serious issue?
Muhammad Rasheed - Sure. But I like to pick my battles wiser. Obama's probably the closest thing to 'squeaky clean' we are likely to ever have in a politician. They are all human after all. So when I make the choice between which has the less mess in their closet, Hillary's "oh no! she used the wrong email account for that! for SHAME!" really doesn't register on my radar.
As a libertarian I'm more likely to get furious over people who actively encouraged destroying the Free Market by deliberately saddling companies with debt so bigger companies can form cartels, the way Mitt made his fortune. A lame email scandal isn't going to compare to that in any way, shape or form, yet the folk screaming "HANG THE WITCH!" over this email thing were 100% willing to have that monster in my White House.
I hate stuff like that, Fred.
Muhammad Rasheed - That's the partisan game playing I'm talking about. It has to go so we can heal as a nation.
Fred Pomeroy - I'm not happy with any of the choices out there. I would be willing to back someone who accepts good ideas from whatever source over someone who rejects all ideas if not from the same party. I have no party affiliation so usually avoid political discussions.
Muhammad Rasheed - That's how I'd been for many years, too.

Who is a Racist?

Chris Suess – [shared meme]

Jason Woodings - Shocker....not.
Chuck Suess - But, but, but... You have white privilege you racist!
Muhammad Rasheed - The difference is that, after Capone slaughtered his gang rivals in the Saint Valentine's Day Massacre, the public demanded that law enforcement do something about Capone. Since there was no physical evidence linking him to the crime that everyone knew he did (see: Darren Wilson) federal authorities went after his sloppy book keeping and back taxes instead.
Sharpton isn't a gangster. He's just a vocal anti-racist. I can see why y'all would look at him as a gangster though.
Chris Suess - whatever, if you support this Jew hating Black Supremacist that is your business.
Brian Vettoso - I love that it says Sharptoon
Brian Vettoso - OMG laughing my ass off at (see: Darrin Wilson)
Muhammad Rasheed - Chris Suess wrote: "whatever"
That means you have blind faith that Sharpton must be a "racist" and a "jew hater," and even though you can't prove it, that's just what you want to believe.
Tell me why you think these things if you really what me to understand your point of view and take it seriously. "Whatever" is the stance of the stubborn.
Chris Suess - he has a long history of shit talking Jews, Homosexuals, and Whitey.
Muhammad Rasheed - Yes? "Shit talking" in what way? You are "shit talking" on him now because of things you think about him. Should I take that to mean you hate all black people?
I can't stand Israel's politics and ways of doing business in the world since their founding; I 100% disagree with the Zionist political agenda. I do NOT hate the Jews. Is this what you are talking about?
Explain what this "long history" actually entails, please.
Chris Suess - are you too stupid to use YouTube?
Muhammad Rasheed - Do you expect me to research to support YOUR ignorant point? So you say "whatever" in response to a challenge to flesh out YOUR argument, but think that it's MY job to prove YOUR points?
Muhammad Rasheed - Where the hell did you go to school, Chris?
Chris Suess - somewhere that advocated research
Muhammad Rasheed - Obviously not.
Muhammad Rasheed - "Whatever" doesn't equal research, sir.
Chris Suess - whatever
Muhammad Rasheed - lol
Steven Georgio - Al Sharpton is far worse a cunt than Al Capone ever was. Al Capone gained power, fame and riches by destroying the lives of fellow scumbags....Sharpton has done it by destroying the innocent. Surely a smart man like yourself realizes this. No? Added bonus, these facts require very little research.
Steven Georgio - You are correct though, he's not a gangster...just a cunt. On second thought, he is a gangster. Anyone who shakes down businesses into contributing to his various organizations by threatening them with charges of racism, definitely qualifies as a gangster.
Muhammad Rasheed - Steven Georgiowrote: "Al Sharpton is far worse a cunt than Al Capone ever was."
A savage killer and drug peddler of organized crime is worse than an anti-racism advocate? Is this your official stance for the record then?
Muhammad Rasheed - Steven Georgio wrote: "Sharpton has done it by destroying the innocent. "
Tell me what innocent person that Sharpton "destroyed." And before you say "Google it" please note that I do not for a second believe these things you are saying and have zero motivation to support your pet contentions. Support your own arguments, please. It's YOUR belief system. Prove it.
Muhammad Rasheed - Steven Georgio wrote: "You are correct though, he's not a gangster...just a cunt. On second thought, he is a gangster. Anyone who shakes down businesses into contributing to his various organizations by threatening them with charges of racism, definitely qualifies as a gangster."
"Cunt" is a nonsense insult that only holds weight within your own ideology in this context. If these multi-million dollar corporations didn't have a history of racism dirt on their records, they would simply fight the charges and Sharpton wouldn't have a leg to stand on. They paid because he had proof. In contrast, Darren Wilson wasn't indicted for a racist hate crime he absolutely committed because the DoJ couldn't find physical proof that would hold up in court.
Steven Georgio - Muhammed, I'd like to start by assuring you I couldn't give two shits about Al fucking Sharpton. I only commented earlier because I'm shocked he has any fans whatsoever. The facts are these...he started his career by distributing cocaine (lots of it) killing the very people he professes to love. He in-sighted a riot in Harlem that led to 5 or 6 innocent people being torched alive (all working class poor). He destroyed the career and reputation of all involved with the Tawanna Brawley incident, knowing full well, from the start, the story was bullshit. Ditto with the Duke lacrosse case...And, he is a shakedown artist. The term cunt fits extremely well. Steven Georgio wrote "Muhammed's not too swift."
Muhammad Rasheed - Steven Georgio wrote: "Muhammed, I'd like to start by assuring you I couldn't give two shits about Al fucking Sharpton."
That sums up the apparent position of your entire demographic based on their continuous negativity about him on Facebook. I'm not a Sharpton cheerleader or anything, and he is rarely on my own radar, but I do recognize that he generally shows his face in support when one of my people is attacked by one of your people in a way to make national headlines. During those times he takes on a lead role in publicly condemning racist violence, and he's been doing this for quite a while.
Of the many incidents he has provided support for, we have these two you've named where the grand jury ruled in favor of the defendant. To act like these two incidents represent Sharpton's entire career, and somehow completely prove racism is fiction is the very height of intellectual dishonesty. Of the hundreds he's supported, 2 turned out wrong, but that means his entire career is a lie?
Chris Suess - "your entire demographic" = Whitey or Cracker as Sharpton refers to them.
Muhammad Rasheed - I wouldn't expect a man in his position to be very PC considering the heat he gets regularly from his very foul-mouthed critics.
Steven Georgio - Muhammed, His career is fully documented. You're a "you're people" "My people" kind of guy...nuff said.
Muhammad Rasheed - Steven Georgio wrote: "You're a "you're people" "My people" kind of guy...nuff said."
Are you somehow implying that you aren't?
Muhammad Rasheed - Your entire stance in this thread is that you resent Al Sharpton for standing up for his people over your people. You literally HATE that. What am I to imply from that? You hate active fighting against racist actions perpetuated against my people by your people. You HATE it. You obviously would rather blacks just quietly accept such treatment and let it go.
Muhammad Rasheed - That's 100% the impression you all give when you make your anti-Sharpton, anti-Jesse Jackson comments.
Steven Georgio - This is just silly. Clearly, I hate any and all who fight for civil and social rights because I'm racist. You Muhammad, are a caricature. It's funny how those who think themselves the most insightful often are. Peace.
Muhammad Rasheed - Well, why do you hate them?
Because of all the many events he supported, two he backed the wrong horse? Is that a reason to demonize him forever every single time you bring up his name forever and ever?
Chris Suess - ummm... you are the one that said we hate him cause of his "race work".... this thread is about how he is a fucking tax cheat, but walks because he is a useful idiot for the government.
Muhammad Rasheed - Chris Suess wrote: “ummm... you are the one that said we hate him cause of his ‘race work'"
When you put something in quotes, it means that’s the exact thing the person said. If they didn’t say what you put in quotes it means you are lying, or attempting some form of deception. FYI for future correspondence.
Chris Suess wrote: “…this thread is about how he is a fucking tax cheat, but walks because he is a useful idiot for the government.”
This thread was attempting to prove how the mythical “reverse racism” is rampant throughout the land – stealing freedom from all the good white people and handing it over to the vile blacks – by comparing Al Capone’s back tax situation (he slaughtered a bunch of people but hid it well, forcing the fed’s to go after his tax thing because it was all they could legally prove) to Al Sharpton’s back tax situation (he was sloppy with his businesses and stupid with money, but is in the process of paying that stuff off with help with his friends. Oh, and also he didn’t slaughter a bunch of people like an infamous organized crime boss). He “walks” because he made arrangements. Al Capone’s idea of making arrangements was “Fuck you, copper!! See? Yeah!!”
Chris Suess - yeah, I used "race work" cause I dont believe he is doing what you claim.
Muhammad Rasheed - Okay, then let’s use the Tawana Brawley incident as an example. Tawana claimed that she had been attacked, raped, etc., by several white men. Almost the entire black community was up in arms: “What??? MORE???” They demanded justice be done. In the very beginning, before all the facts were known, Tawana was treated very poorly by the mainstream community. They never treated her like the minor she actually was, and were very unfair. Her little community, like in Ferguson, had very little power to protect her, and the press just railroaded her. Sharpton came to, no less, use his own power and reputation to support this young girl in the face of the mainstream juggernaut. If he hadn’t, who would have? As every other American had the right to, she also had the right to trial and justice. The grand jury decided that her story was false, and if this is indeed true, then justice was served. But before we got to that point, she deserved the dignity of being heard and her story properly investigated, and her status as a minor protected. That’s why Sharpton was there to make sure she was alright.
Tell me, Chris: out of all of these white women who commit horrifying crimes but in the beginning, falsely claimed a black guy did it, didn’t they ALSO deserve to FIRST be protected and heard until all the facts were in?
Muhammad Rasheed - Tawana didn't deserve that because she was black?
She certainly didn't receive that support before Sharpton showed up.

Don't Complain... VOTE THEM OUT!

"Former Secretary of State Colin Powell on Sunday said that black voters should vote lawmakers who support voter ID restrictions out of office.
Powell, who served as secretary of state under George W. Bush, said that he was troubled by the voter ID laws, but that that they were 'hurdles that we can get over.'
"'What I say to my friends in the African-American community, is whatever those states do, you meet the standards and then you make sure you register,' Powell said during an interview on ABC's 'This Week.' 'You make sure you vote. You make sure you vote for the people who tried to put these barriers, these hurdles in your way and then you vote them out.'"
Colin Powell Has A Pretty Good Suggestion For Fixing Voter ID Laws
Ba Sheer A. Musawwir - So true, but this message will still fall on deaf ears. Some one needs to set up a Voter registration booth at some of these protest and marches
Jeremy Travis - How does he speak against his fellow Republicans while still maintaining membership in their party?
Muhammad Rasheed - Probably because he's not running for office and has the freedom to be critical.
Jeremy Travis - Sure, he can be critical, but why be a member of such a shitty party?
Muhammad Rasheed - Because he believes in the things they stand for, and works to make them stronger in society himself. What other people do isn't his responsibility. He's a grown man.
Jeremy Travis - Does he REALLY believe in what they stand for if he has to always be critical of them? At what point does he say that the party no longer represents his values if and when they are so vehemently wrong about so much?
Muhammad Rasheed - Individuals will always differ from each other. Individuals will always stand at varying distances from the ideals of whatever doctrine. My neighbor falls short, what does that have to do with the ideals themselves, or my own walk to achieve them and make them manifest?
Jeremy Travis - I'm not talking about individuals, practically the whole damn party has gone apeshit. The 'moderate' Republicans are simultaneously the least vocal and the most like old-school Republicans from 20-30 years ago. Where are the members of his party with whom he is in agreement, what are the party's ideals that he supports and who in his party supports them with him?
Muhammad Rasheed - The only republicans I know are the celebrity ones. For all I know the bulk of them are doing good things with only pockets of them following folk like Palin around and drooling.
Jeremy Travis - Then explain the party leaders and just about everyone beneath them.
Muhammad Rasheed - The party is older than those people, J. Like the modern psycho ones like to point out, that's the party that freed the slaves. The party itself is not inherently fucked up. It's the individuals who are fucking up and smearing it's name.
Jeremy Travis - What is the difference between the party itself and its members?
Muhammad Rasheed - The party is the ideals the individuals are supposed to be striving to uphold and provide for America. Everyone isn't on the same page because individuals often aren't on the same page in much of anything. "We had the best damn organization black people ever had. N1ggers ruined it." ~Malcolm X
Jeremy Travis - It's interesting that you mention Malcolm X as he left the organization once he saw that it had become too corrupted for him and it no longer represented his ideals, or at least the ideals that they once upheld.
Muhammad Rasheed - smh

Muhammad Rasheed - Stupid racist lurkers.
Muhammad Rasheed - The org was still everything he loved, it was jealous asshole people that made it where he couldn't be there any more. They talk about a version of that in manager's training. When a really bad manager will make the high performers want to leave, even though they love the job.

"You're Racist for Calling Out My Racism, N1gger!"

Muhammad Rasheed - The very idea that the racist calls ME the racist for pointing out the wrongs HE does to ME makes me furious. Furious enough to burn a cross on his lawn, drag him out of his house in front of his screaming wife and babies, hang him from a tree, cut off his scrotum as a souvenir (to be found in my attic by future generations), and set him on fire.
But that's me.
Karla Holland - Mindgames.
Muhammad Rasheed - I'm clearly not "promoting violence" as my comments are satirical, and referencing the methods of lynching done to my people in history. I was also referencing Laura Linney's ending courtroom scene with Edward Norton at the end of Primal Fear.

Karla Holland - Facebook courage.
Muhammad Rasheed - Honestly if you let this comment from Rod go, which is clearly actually "promoting violence," then you should leave mine alone.

RESPONSES - The Killer & the Law, pt 2

Hank Mansfield – [after posting a link bomb of YouTube music videos] heh heh, evil dumbass.
Muhammad Rasheed - I'm genuinely amused by the fact that you've abandoned all pretense to intellectualism, Hank, and decided to fully embrace the role of the clown/fool.
You know what that looks like from here, right?
Muhammad Rasheed - Keep it up. I don't mind.
Hank Mansfield - Just speaking truth to imagined power.
Muhammad Rasheed - Nooo... you've stopped trying to actually engage me in a rational discussion, and are prancing around like Ken's court jester. It means you've given up. In other words:

Muhammad Rasheed - But keep it up. I don't mind.
Hank Mansfield - We're discussing what, again?
Muhammad Rasheed - Right. You admit you don't even have an argument, because you can't speak rationally on the very topic that brought you here.
Interesting.
Hank Mansfield - The topic that brought me here was YOU editing out your own insults from a conversation I took part in, one where I showed integrity, knowledge and common sense.
Muhammad Rasheed - Please stop talking foolishness. The material you are referencing is right above your lying head.
Hank Mansfield - Yeah, foolishness seems to your specialty. You'd be the first to spot it in others.
Muhammad Rasheed - Instead of posting that, a man with integrity would be scanning the Note to prove what he said about me editing out insults was true.
Hank Mansfield - Everyone knows it, and you're not the only one that's learned how to take screenshots. A man would apologize.
Muhammad Rasheed - lol
Muhammad Rasheed - "Everyone knows it" means that all the racist cowards I have ever met have falsely accused me of "heavily editing" the discussion I have with them, in which they show how bigoted and stupid they are. It's their flimsy way of saving face among their fellow racists.
Muhammad Rasheed - (which is apparently enough for them since you all lack integrity)
Hank Mansfield - Oh, this isn't the first time?
Muhammad Rasheed - Wait... did the prancing court jester just attempt to tell me what a man would do...?
Hank Mansfield - I didn't attempt anything, I did it.
Muhammad Rasheed - Hank Mansfield wrote: "Oh, this isn't the first time?"
Did you somehow think you, Ken Tim, Elizabeth, Peggy, Randy, etc., were the only racists on Facebook?
Hank Mansfield - So, you admit guilt.
Hank Mansfield - Not like you need to, or anything, lol.
Muhammad Rasheed - Hank Mansfield wrote: "So, you admit guilt."
Yes. I'm guilty of calling racists and prancing fools such as yourself out on your semi-literate bullshit.
Hank Mansfield - I never called you a racist, but you just admitted it yourself.
Hank Mansfield - I KNOW you're a misogynist, the negative character traits are adding up fast.
Muhammad Rasheed - Hank Mansfield wrote: "I never called you a racist, but you just admitted it yourself."
Racists don't mean the same thing when they call a minority a racist. When you say it it's a nonsense term of misdirection.
Muhammad Rasheed - Hank Mansfield wrote: "I KNOW you're a misogynist..."
lol Then you don't know what 'misogyny' is.
Hank Mansfield - You're dismissed, you may resume your psychosis.
Muhammad Rasheed - You're on MY timeline telling me I'M 'dismissed?'
lol You don't know what 'psychosis' means either then. lol
Muhammad Rasheed - Let me help you out:
I responded to a [stupid] status post my FB Friend created that strolled on my public newsfeed. He deleted the thread and I haven't been on his page since. You on the other hand, in your prancing clown butthurt state, have continuously stalked my timeline. You haven't attempted to engage me in a discussion of any type, or provided any kind of intellectual stimulation, but instead have been link bombing your shitty music, and trying to clutter up my Note comments with lies and flip foolishness.
And then you said -- on MY timeline now -- that I was 'dismissed.'
Muhammad Rasheed - Do you recognize that you are actually helping my "racists are crazy" thesis?
Muhammad Rasheed - It seems you are quite content to continuously prove you are not worthy of respect. You actually seem proud of it, in fact.
Muhammad Rasheed - I'm open to an explanation for this behavior as I genuinely want to understand the mindset. Please do.
[Hank link bombed some more]
Muhammad Rasheed - More of the same, eh? Fascinating. [takes careful notes]
Hank Mansfield - Wiki link - Psychosis
Muhammad Rasheed - I'll let that one stay. lol
Hank Mansfield - You need to read it, should be like looking in a mirror if you're as smart as you keep trying to say you are. Get help.
Muhammad Rasheed - I'm also enjoying the fact that the racist group is cowardly lurking, content to allow the prancing fool to represent them.
That fact alone is pregnant with potent symbol. (and yes that is a gauntlet thrown down)
Hank Mansfield - It's the only fact you've got, may as well get the most out of it.
Muhammad Rasheed -

Muhammad Rasheed - Bam. *drops mic*
Muhammad Rasheed - hahahahaha
Muhammad Rasheed - This is the one that represents the full force of your argument, eh? *nods*
Muhammad Rasheed - Is this all you have? NONE of you want to step forth and challenge me? This fool is your strongest Aryan Warrior?
Muhammad Rasheed - Pathetic.
Hank Mansfield - You haven't read the definition for dismiss( past tense), have you?
Muhammad Rasheed - This comments section will make a weak trophy if you don't provide me a better challenge.
Muhammad Rasheed - Do you see him? Your Hank? Nipping at my heels like a yorky pooch?
Do you really want THIS to represent you all? Come forth and face me, you pigs.
YOU! the one called "Tim." Step forth and face my scimitar.
Muhammad Rasheed - Are you a man?
Muhammad Rasheed - THROW DOWN YOUR ROD!!!!
Hank Mansfield - LOL
Muhammad Rasheed - I know, right?
Muhammad Rasheed - *sighhh*
Muhammad Rasheed - I'm done with you now, Hank. I'm about to send your head back to the group.
Hank Mansfield - Is that a threat?
Muhammad Rasheed - I cannot in good faith encourage cowardice. You understand, don't you, old boy? I DID give you a chance. You can't say I didn't.
Muhammad Rasheed - ***block***
Muhammad Rasheed - Poor Hank has been blocked. It saddens me, because that was literally the first time I've ever used that FB feature, but even my patience has a limit.
Muhammad Rasheed - Who will you send to replace him?
Muhammad Rasheed - What about Randy the Drummer Boy? He seemed to have much to say. Send him.
Muhammad Rasheed - I wish to test the strength of his argument. He refused to in the PM challenge I issued, instead electing to hide his cowardice behind a shield of fake trailer park machismo.
Perhaps once on the battlefield he will show the courage that he demonstrated in the original thread when everyone was watching? What have thee, Randy?
Muhammad Rasheed - Darren Wilson killed an innocent teenager. He deliberately provoked and attacked him so the teen feared for his life and desperately sought to defend himself, walking right into the corrupt and savage officer's trap. In his version of events, Wilson weaved a tale based on racist white fears of the "Big Scary Black Guy" myth ("he was like a demon!") and of course you bought it hook, line & sinker. Darren Wilson is from a corrupt police force, with a well-documented history of abusing the residents of Ferguson along race lines, as the DoJ report revealed, yet all racists only hear/see what they believe based on the mythical tale Wilson cooked up to cover his ass. You WANT to believe him because in your twisted psychotic minds, YOU are the "Good Guy" of the story. Of EVERY story.
After many years of racist corruption, the Ferguson PD had become expert at evidence altering/tampering so there was no tangible forensic evidence that could prove Wilson's story yea or nay. Absent anything concrete, Justice was forced to accept the subjective story of a cop's word as the only evidence. And a savage killer goes free.
Muhammad Rasheed - My summary is what the DoJ report actually revealed. Ken's original status, shown in The Killer & the Law, is based on nothing but his twisted racist bias, clouded by his blind faith that Wilson's ridiculous story was true in all detail.
Muhammad Rasheed - How do you counter, pigs? Demonstrate in the report findings how my interpretation is wrong, and your white power fantasy land version is true, please.
When you cannot -- and assuredly ye cannot -- then you may slink back to your lair.

RISING STAR: You Know Them By Their Marks

Ricky Mujica – [shared link] This guy is a bad ass!

Michael Page vs Ben Dishman
Richard Saldana - Reminds me of Spider Silva
Eric Wilkerson - It's almost unfair. How does one train and prepare for something so unorthodox? It took years before anyone figured out how to bring Anderson Silva down.
Richard Saldana - Oh so it is him
Eric Wilkerson - No this isn't Silva. Just somebody clearly inspired by
Richard Saldana - I thought so
Ricky Mujica - You have to make a guy like this come to you. If your chase him you're in trouble.
Muhammad Rasheed - Yes, his whole style is designed to get you to open up so he can take advantage using his superior speed talent. That's why Silva did that stuff, too.
Chantelle Dinkel - this guy's name is Michael 'Venom' Page... here's his most recent fight Michael Page vs Ricky Rainey
Muhammad Rasheed -

Muhammad Rasheed - Eric Wilkerson wrote: "It took years before anyone figured out how to bring Anderson Silva down."
Ha! Silva brought himself down.
Ricky Mujica - Exactly! Silva brought himself down.
Ricky Mujica - Yep! Page against Rainey. Like I said, you can't chase this guy. You need to make him come to you and you have to use lots of fakes.
Muhammad Rasheed - Page's strength is that he fights from the outside. That's where his talents shine best. To defeat him you must take that away from him. Stay close, smother him, tie him up, fight on the inside where his speed won't be as much of an advantage for him. And you'd better have a great grappling game, too.
Ricky Mujica - You aren't going to smother this guy. His footwork is too good. Look what happened to Rainey. You have to take him out of his game and make him come to you. You need to fake and draw his fire. He's got a counter punch game, you need to counter punch him. But on your own terms.
Muhammad Rasheed - Ricky Mujica wrote: "You aren't going to smother this guy. His footwork is too good. Look what happened to Rainey."
He did smother him while he had him on the cage, and then he let him go. His grappling and mui thai were too weak and he didn't work enough, but Page didn't work enough either which meant that was his weakness. All he wanted was to escape and get back tot he outside where he was comfortable.
Ricky Mujica wrote: "You have to take him out of his game and make him come to you."
He was clearly out of his game while he was clinched.
Ricky Mujica wrote: "You need to fake and draw his fire. He's got a counter punch game, you need to counter punch him. But on your own terms."
You're literally asking an average fighter to outperform an up and coming superstar at his best game. As a coach you just set your guy up for failure.
Ricky Mujica - An average fighter isn't going to beat this guy.
Muhammad Rasheed - Of course, unless, like Silva, he gives the fight away making a goofy mistake. The superstar talent doesn't come along that often, so who would you be coaching to out-counter Page? Are you instructing Bruce Lee? lol
Muhammad Rasheed - In order to have a chance, the average fighter would have to go after Page's weaknesses in his fight plan, and we see Page is definitely weak in the clinch. He had nothing.
Gary N. Carriero Sr. - This dude is funny, awesome to watch. Thanks Ricky Mujica
Ricky Mujica - I learned that from experience. When I was boxing, that was the only way I ever beat anyone who was faster than me. And as you say, on the inside. But you aren't going to get on the inside by chasing him unless you have incredible defense. Guys like this aren't good on the attack. Their whole game. You need to draw their fire with lots of fakes. Perfect example is the fight between Howard Davis and Jim Watt.
Muhammad Rasheed - Ricky Mujica wrote: "I learned that from experience. When I was boxing, that was the only way I ever beat anyone who was faster than me. And as you say, on the inside. But you aren't going to get on the inside by chasing him unless you have incredible defense."
People that fight long like that have a natural advantage (usually because they are taller, and in this case he is much faster), and it comes with inherent risk to attempt to get past their lightning jab. But you have to do it. Good defense is definitely one of the tools, but just as important is courage. If you don't take the risk and force the fight to go your way, the superstar will be more than happy to dictate the terms of his future highlight reel.
Ricky Mujica - I'm not saying to let it go his way. I'm saying that you have to force him to come to you.
Muhammad Rasheed - The trick is that with his speed, he's able to pot shot from the outside at will, making it very difficult for the slower guy to score. I think that strategy will be harder to pull off.
Muhammad Rasheed - And will look very much like the two clips above.
Ricky Mujica - You have to make him come to you. These guys aren't used to going forward.
Ricky Mujica - But can he beat this guy? Elias Ajit
Muhammad Rasheed - Ricky Mujica wrote: "You have to make him come to you."
If you don't move forward yourself, or take any risks, it will build his confidence, and his "coming to you" will take the form of yet more blindingly fast pot shots.
