Final Touches for Christmas
Happy Monday!
I hope you all had a blessed weekend! As I mentioned in Friday's post-hubby and I packed up the car that afternoon, and made the 3 hour trip to my daughter, Mel's for the weekend!
The next day we attended a shower that Mel and Andy's WONDERFUL friends put on for them. What fun we had-and delicious food too! I'll be sharing some photo's on Mel's page-as soon as I make some

Sugar Cookies and Christmas decor in the kitchen!
Although our kitchen remodel is FAR from being completed (imagine half the ceiling gone, no back splash, and nasty laminate counters), this room is still one of my favorite places-and one I spend a great deal of time in. Even so-this year-it didn't make sense for me to go crazy 'decking it out' with a whole bunch of Christmas decor-since we plan to pick up where we left off, after the holidays.

A Friday rant (with a small side order of rave)
If you remember, last week I posted that I was back after taking a short break from blogging (and my computer), to spend time with family and enjoy a bit of relaxation.
I said this-even though I knew that this week would be hectic, and indeed, an emotional roller coaster, because mom would be having surgery on Monday, and she'd be staying with us for a few days to recover.
