Update. It’s been a while.
I hope everyone is good and healthy. I am an essential-worker for the Health and Human Service department in my city, and we have rotating quarantines. So I have one week left off then go back to work for two weeks. I’m a little freaked out about it, but I have taken that and turned it into creativity.
Let’s get to it.
Blood Ties is coming out I am [image error]pushing for a July release. I’ll be honest I hate editing, so I took a break to type up Neglected. I love the story between Adam and Evelyn (Eve). Both had traumatic childhoods, both are survivors, and their love story was fun and sexy to write out.
I just finished Rock My Stars very early this morning. I am in a book hangover because of this. I love the story between Tabby and Rockstar Spencer. This book is part of The Stars universe. There are mentions to Alisa and Logan Rider, you meet Jimmy the guitarist in Among the Stars. It really isn’t a slow burn like Seeing Stars was. These come together and stick like glue.
[image error]More on that later, because this one can’t be released until Among the Stars is done, which we are in editing phases with that one. As you know I wrote Seeing Stars and my friend Krys loved it so much I gave her to okay to continue the story between Logan and Alisa. We agreed to work on book 3 together. It was fun to get back into Alisa’s life. There are some fun scenes, one at a wedding where she and Logan have a drink and people watch.
I actually thought I would be hiding in my room binging Netflix and Hulu (Okay Disney +). But my muse or whatever is control of creativity in my brain is on fire. I can’t have a moment without thinking of the next scene, or what to write next. Although I wish she would let me edit because now I have these three books done and all she wants to do is start a new one.
I can’t promise I will be actively blogging, but as more news comes around I will share it. I hope the next time I post will have the blurb and pre-order link for Blood Ties.

Blood Ties Chapter! #amwriting #comingsoon
I’m alive just working. A LOT… So here is a peek at Blood Ties chapter 1.
Chapter One
Leslie started to speak but felt an enormous buildup of dark magic in Nathan’s house. It called to hers. A dark void. Blood, it whispered through her. It expanded like a bubble, growing larger and larger. And like all bubbles— She only had a second.
She grabbed tighter on to Nathaniel with one hand, thrusting the other out she pictured a shield between them as the dark wave hit after the pop. She shook with the effort but somehow managed to tap into her beast who roared through her. In turn, they were able to use Nathan’s alpha power. The darkness tried to engulf her, but in the end, it was no match for their combined energy. The power void reminded her of when she tried to feel Cathy’s magic.
“What was that?” Nathan asked.
Leslie looked towards the house in the dark, it rimmed with gold. “Black magic.”
“Why?”
She stepped away from him, kicking off her shoes, and grounded herself in the earth. Closing her eyes, she released her own magic and felt out into the evening. She felt the young, the old, and the strong and something else.
Her eyes sprang open, seeing the night in gold. “I feel them. They’re in pain.”
“Who?”
“The weres. The young ones.” She didn’t know how to really explain it, so she grabbed his hand and pushed her magic into him. His head fell back as he looked at the sky, and a growl vibrated from him.
“I got to help them,” he whispered, the pain there but rawer. They ran inside where everyone lay on the ground in the living room. Nathan checked on his brother as she checked on Collin.
“Breathing,” he said.
She nodded eyes sweeping the bodies. “Cathy is missing.”
Nathan crawled around checking on the other bears as Leslie ran into the kitchen. She grabbed a pitcher off the fridge, filling it with water, she came back tipping it over Collin. He sat up hissing. “What”
Collin was the misfortunate meeting between a wolf and a vampire. He had some of the classic vampire traits but more of the werewolf in him. He did, however, hiss a lot, which made Leslie uneasy, and he knew it so he would use it to piss her off. But they all had their quirks, for one thing, Leslie was a half breed blood witch/werebear. Unheard of, and well, relatively new to her.
“Cathy is missing. What happened when we went outside?”
“Patrick asked more about the tattoo. Wanted to know if she saw it somewhere when she got it.” He rubbed his head. “I feel like I got hit by a truck.”
“A magic truck,” Nathan said, making Leslie nod.
She grabbed the pitcher running back to the kitchen to fill it up again. She brought it back and dumped it over Patrick’s head. He woke with a start. “Where is she!” He sat up too fast and held his head. “What the hell hit me?”
“Big bad magic.”
“So, who did it?” Collin asked.
“Someone working with Cathy?” Patrick looked around at the snoring shifters. Nathan had left the house to see if he could sense anyone.
“I’ve seen the tattoo on Jonathan and now Cathy.” Leslie closed her eyes, rubbing her forehead. “I think I know why but my memory was tampered with. It feels like it’s right there.”
“Why? You mean you might know the meaning of the tattoo?” Collin asked.
She nodded. “Maybe.”
Nathan came in, shaking his head. “I can’t sense her. Help me wake the others, Pat.”
Leslie watched but mostly felt as Patrick used the same alpha magic to coax the others up. He turned around and noticed both Leslie and Collin staring at him. “What?”
“I thought only one can be alpha?” Leslie asked.
“Twins,” he said to them his eyes told them duh. They were twins in all but sexuality. Both big, blonde, handsome, with the same warm blue eyes. Girls flirted openly with them when they were out and about. Only to be sad that Patrick had eyes on his brother’s beta, and somehow Nathan seemed to like her. She was still processing that part. He was such a nice person, and she was not. Not even close.
“So why do they have tattoos that resemble the markings of Lycanthia?” Collin asked.
Leslie shook her head. “I can’t remember. You said they found a body with the drugs.”
“Yes. Werewolf worked at the clinic.”
“He had to have drugged us in the clinic,” Nathan said, he reached out touching Leslie’s arm. It was a were thing, not sexual, but more for reassurance. She reached out, putting her hand against his bare warm chest. Giving stability to alpha, her beast inside slipped though.
Leslie thought about the were-meeting. Cathy was arguing with the wolf. But why? Cathy was attached to the drug. And was this the same drug that Carlotta and Rich gave Jonathan up in Yosemite? The world around her faded—
Her bladder was screaming, but she didn’t want to get out of bed. Her body drained and sore all over. She remembered blood sex actually lots of sex. She turned over in the silken sheets and quietly made her way to the bathroom. After she did her business, she left the bathroom and thought about just planting her face back into the mound of pillows. But whispering in the other room grabbed her curiosity, which got the best of her as she quietly pulled the door open to peek out.
“I need it,” Jonathan begged, he was on his knees in front of Rich. Naked, like he mostly was when they decided to have lazy days.
Rich had on a pair of boxers. He never could get used to the nakedness of pack, and liked to have some coverage. He just didn’t get that weres didn’t care much about being nude. Leslie fought her normal feelings, but she embraced the nudity. “You already had enough.”
“I need it, please let me have it.” She covered her mouth, never before had she seen the wolf pack leader beg like this. He was intense, angry, and pulled weight around like the king he was. But this was something new.
“And what will you do for me, wolfy.”
“Wolfy?” She thought, shaking her head. Rich had some balls right now. She smiled to herself because well like his other part, they were tiny too.
“Anything. Please, Richard.”
“Tell me who’s in charge of your pack, wolfy?”
“You are,” Jonathan whimpered. Her eyes widened with shock. What the hell? What is going on? Rich was nothing to the pack, and nothing to Jonathan.
Rich pulled something from his pocket. “I am what?”
“You are our king, my king.” Jonathan’s hands climbed up Rich’s boxer shorts. She shouldn’t be watching this, but she was, in disbelief. He pulled Rich’s small flaccid cock out, wrapping his lips around it, and sucked it in his mouth.
“You love my cock, don’t you wolfy?”
Jonathan mumbled as his head bobbed, and the sucking noise made her stomach ill. Rich didn’t have the size of Jonathan, so it wasn’t like he had too much to suck on, but still, she had never seen Jonathan play lesser to anyone. And to Rich. He was just the pack witch, and how many times had she seen Jonathan mistreat him.
Rich grabbed Jonathan’s head, forcing him to move faster up and down on his cock. He panted, she knew the noise well, he was getting close. He grabbed Jonathan’s hair, pushing him away.
“You want it?” Rich said, stroking himself.
“Yesss.” Leslie was haunted by the mad look in Jonathan’s eyes.
Rich started to tug harder on his junk, Leslie had to hold back laughter, he looked like he was losing a battle with himself. “Come close wolfy,” he said, through gritted teeth.
Jonathan crawled closer, so his head was close to his crotch. Rich let go and came all over his face. Leslie covered her mouth, in shock or laughter, she wasn’t sure how to feel about this whole exchange.
Cock retreating into his boxers, Rich sighed. “Lick that shit off your face.” He tossed whatever he had in his pocket to Jonathan.
He didn’t spare any time, uncorking the bottle, and drank the liquid down. He threw his head back sighing. “Fuck!”
“Jonathan,” Rich said, turning his head towards the door. She closed it as softly as she could. “You’ll wake Leslie.”
“I think I am going to take a shower, and then wake her.”
“No. You can only touch her when I want you to. I think I want you to sleep in the other room tonight.” Another shock, so now Rich decided who she got to sleep with. Na-buddy. She was a little put off by this whole thing anyway.
“But we have a deal. You know she likes mine better.” Jonathan’s voice rose in anger.
“Wolfy.” The warning hung sharp in the air.
“Can I have a lesser?”
“Sure, go fuck or kill a lesser. I don’t care.”
“But it’s pack.”
“Like I care. I care about the muscle and money. I care about that pretty witch pussy in the other room. Once I control her, I’ll control everything.”
She did not like that at all. She was not sleeping with either of them that night. What did he give Jonathan? There were no drugs weres could take. She knew Jonathan liked to nip her and draw her blood when she was in magic mode. But only when the magic rode her. She remembered that was the night when she started thinking about leaving the pack. She knew something was wrong, something was festering like a disease.
“Leslie!” Nathan grabbed her shoulder, sounding alarmed.
She looked around the room. “Huh?”
“You went all scary, Les,” Collin said.
“Did I say anything?”
They all shook their heads. “What was that?” Nathan asked.
“I had the most disturbing flashback ever.”
“Want to share?”
She shook her head. “No, no, no. No one needs to see or hear that.” She tilted her head eyes zoning out. “I think it was the beginning of Jonathan’s addiction. I didn’t see it then, and I should have. But we need to figure out how Cathy did this.”
“How? She isn’t magic.” Collin said.
“But she is.” Leslie reached for her phone that was vibrating. It was Fred, the Senior Supervisor in charge of Patrick and Collin, she should have ignored it, but answered. She owed him nothing since she quit.
Fred’s voice screamed over the phone. “What did you do Leslie?! Weres are changing everywhere, and vamps coming out of the woodwork. The normals are reporting weird shit after just a few seconds of this magic wave.”
“It wasn’t me.”
“Bullshit!” He screamed, making her pull the phone away from her ear.
“Look, believe me, or not, it was Cathy. Someone there needs to look into her.”
“You three better come to the office, A-S-A-P!” He spit the last out with an anger she had never heard from him before.
“I can’t speak for Collin and Patrick, but I quit, remember.” She rolled her eyes and disconnected before Fred could say anything else. She jammed the phone back in her pocket. “Fred wants you guys in the office.”
“Damn,” Nathan said, pulling his phone away from his own ear. “Patrick, I need your help, all alpha power is going to be needed to rally up all the young ones. The calls coming in are not good.”
Collin looked at Leslie, “What are you going to do?”
“I am going to see if the wolves have my sister.”
“Not by yourself,” Nathan said, over the noise level from too many people on the phones.
“I’ll be fine.”
“I’ll drop you off at home, go in, and get Fred to let me go. I’ll be your backup,” Collin said.
She nodded. “Sounds good.” But she already knew she wasn’t going to wait. She needed keys to the other car they had. Usually, they used work cars, so their personal cars sat in their garage. Leslie, Patrick, and Collin became co-workers and decent roommates. As their mutual responsibilities grew, their friendship bonds tightened. There was a lot she would do for them, but right now, her sister was on top of her list. Let them go in and check on Cathy, and she will shake the earth to bring her family justice.
“I got to go,” Nathan said, his eyes told her everything.
She understood; his responsibility right now was his pack. “Call me when you get everything back to normal.”
He grabbed her in his big arms, squishing her to him, and a hush went over the room as he kissed her long and deep. Enough that it made her toes curl and things tingle in places that shouldn’t be at that moment. “Love you,” he whispered.
“I know,” she said, breathless and shaky. She didn’t understand why Nathan did, but she knew he did. Did she love him? Is that how love worked?
He let go of her reluctantly and turned to everyone staring. “Take a freaking picture. Geeze.” He craned his neck, giving her a wink. “Come on, Patrick, you’re with me.”
“Nathan is a pretty cool guy, but maybe he needed something more than a Star Wars quote,” Collin said as they got in the black SUV.
“That he is,” Leslie said, and thought about the kiss sighing.
After a while of silence. “So, you guys are getting pretty serious, huh?”
“Okay, first off, this is weird talking to my guy friend about this but seeing I have no girlfriends. Yes. When I’m with him.” She shook her head and looked at the window. She could see the slight reflection of her face and her unnormal grey eyes. “I feel like I am normal around him. He brings out the warmth of the wereanimal inside me, and it smushes the blood witch part. He doesn’t want me for the magic, and for some forsaken reason, he overlooks the monster I am.”
“You know I never really liked either side of what I am. But I will tell you one thing. No matter what, you are connected to both. You either love them, or learn to use them, or they will control and destroy you. I think you forget that we’re all monsters. We all have had to do things that are not normal.
“Once, when I was younger. I bit a kid. I had gotten drunk, and it takes a lot of blood for that. I let go. The bloodlust took over, and it didn’t end well for the other person. I didn’t kill him, but I so wanted to. I wanted to suck him dry. He was in the hospital for weeks, and last I checked he never fully recovered. My bloodlust is different than a normal wereanimal. I have two monsters inside of me, just like you, but their hunger is the same.”
She touched his arm. “My darkness is darker. I want to change you all into monsters and make you kill. I want to ride the waves of blood that spill from each victim. I yearn deeply for it. This scary shit haunts my dreams. Yet when Nathan looks at me, he’s not afraid.” She hugged herself. “When everyone, including myself, is.”
“That does sound scary. But I trust that you know your limits, and I think Nathan does too.” Collin pulled up to their house. “I’ll be back as soon as I can, and then we can go in guns blazing.”
Leslie nodded, slipping from the car, and watched him drive away waving. Once he was out of sight, she went inside the house. In the small gun safe in her closet, she pulled out her Glock and an extra silver bullet clip. She finished by arming herself with her silver throwing knives, she left her room, grabbed her keys off the wall, and left the house. Tonight, if Jonathan took her sister, she was sure he would end up with a hole between his eyes.
In the car, she thought of what Collin had said. She remembered those nights with Rich and Jonathan when they wanted her to use her magic. How she had fed on the fear she caused. But afterward, the shame stuck with her. But now with these new memories coming back to her, she wasn’t sure what was going on. She did know that Nathan just wanted her. Not her magic, or even her beast. She never had someone want her for her before. It made her feel almost normal. But Collin was right, the two angry magics in her will tear her apart if she can’t find a way to control them.

My Top 10 Favorite Books #topten #imabooknerd #epicstories
This was a hard list to write. But on my personal Facebook page I was challenged to share my top 7.
The Stand is my all time favorite. I read it when I was a teen. The cut version. Got the uncut, read it a million times. Now I have a few versions. One is the one with the cover with Molly Ringwal from the TV series. Which I own and have watched a million times.
The Stand covers multiple people you will grow to love or hate, and their journey after a plague kills off 99.5% or 99.9% of the population. The good people are drawn to Mother Abigail and the bad to Randal Flagg, and a fight between good vs evil.
Swan Song is a close second. Instead of a virus it’s nuclear. And where the stand was good vs evil, Swan Song is life vs death. Again you follow different people you’ll love or hate.
I will give this away. I get so sucked in that if it’s good I’m in full emotions. Most of these books gripped my heart and I ugly cried.
You see my trend lol. I am a apocalypse/post-apocalypse reader. I love the fight of humanity if written well.
Blood Crazy is crazy. I started this book on my day off when I finished it was midnight and I forgot the world had existed. This book again is like The Stand and Swan Song but it’s not virus or nuclear. I don’t want to give the shock away.
One day everyone is okay. Some odd things are happening, the next day people over 18 are killing all the kids under 18. For the survivors they have to figure out WTF is happening and survive if they can.
This is a newer book that recently topped my favorites. If you haven’t read Carlton Mellick III he writes Bizarro Fiction. It is bizarre, they can be over sexual, horror, crazyness, just bizarre. But I love reading them and glad I started because I was able to read this book.
This story follows three siblings who live in a nursery. Once a child gets to a certain age the parents are supposed to come get them. But for the oldest this hasn’t happened yet. But things are not going right and the nursery starts falling apart. The kids leave the safety of their room to find their parents. But the problem is the house is the size of a city, and it’s full of dark things.
I just love this epic romance. A young girl is in an orphanage. She is sold to a pervert that thinks her virgin blood will cure his cooties. Anyway she is rescued and the story just gets more crazy from there.
Another new one to my list. Have you watched the movie? Read the book it’s amazing. If you are a kid of the 80s you’ll love this book.
Another new one. It’s an epic story that spands many years. This story follows Amy, who is a special little girl. A vampire outbreak occurs and then it skips 100 years into the future. Our future doesn’t look good, but Amy wants to help survival.
I loved and hated these books. I was frustrated and satisfied. Epic story that is so worth reading. I wish they would have got a second season.
Hello Harry Potter?!? I don’t have to explain. I got book 1 for the little sister before the movie came out. We both read it. And I’ve been in love since.
Another epic story. Every so often I would pause and think how old Ender was at certain parts of the book. He was so little. It broke my heart. But again another epic story you need to read to understand.
Got this from the library in junior high. I love anything about ancient Egypt and strong ladies, and this had both. I recommend you moms to read it, and then have your daughters read it.

City of the Sun Ch 11 and managing writing time. #newdayjob #amwriting
First off, Happy September!! Summer is almost over. For us, in the California Central Valley, we still have a month to 2 months before we start getting some relief. But winter will be here soon enough.
I look forward to the cold weather. I can always put on more clothes, but my skin does not come off when it is too hot. I guess it could if I tried hard enough, but eh.
Good news Chapter 11 of City of the Sun is available on Wattpad https://www.wattpad.com/story/189642635-city-of-the-sun It is finally coming to an end. I am already deep in thoughts on the next part of this story.
I have not been very active these few weeks. I started a new job and have been adjusting to a different and new work schedule. It has been a little tough, for 4 months I have been staying up late and sleeping in. I can’t do that anymore, and my body is rebelling. But just because I have not been on the computer writing does not mean I am not writing. I am finishing up a fluff piece I have been working on, and am starting on a new Sci-fi story. I am getting weird with this one. lol.
I do plan on getting Blood Ties finished by the end of the month. Will be sharing the cover and blurb soon. I am hoping for a Halloween release. But this week I will be more active on my crafting side, we have a show next Saturday. So until later, my friends!

Chapter 9 is posted and more #amwriting #amworking
[image error]I got a little behind on the City of the Sun. But here is chapter 8-9! https://www.wattpad.com/story/189642635-city-of-the-sun I have been working on another story. I am not sure I like it very much, and I kind of want it done. I am working on Blood Ties as well.
I not only did something rash this year. I quit my job, and have been looking daily for something good. Sometimes I deserved. After months of testing and interviews and more tests, I have been offered a job for the county I live in. This is great news. I miss working. I have enjoyed the time off like a long vacation. I have been able to write out books and work on other things that I wanted to do. So I am trying to wrap up City of the Sun. I am hoping by next weekend. Once I get that taken care of, I can start working on editing Rock My Stars.
As for, City of the Sun, this is part 1
Part 2- City in a Bubble.
Part 3- City of the Underground
Part 4- City in the Ice
Part 5- Untitled
All of them will first be released on Wattpad first, and then once done will be put together in e-format on Amazon.
I am still pushing to get Blood Ties released asap.
Also this year I am hoping we can release Among the Stars
If so then I will be releasing Rock my Stars after that.
Neglected and Her Giant will be released after them.
Next up as well is Seducing the Soul, the final book in the Elemental trilogy. I keep putting it off because I have been working on this story for 20 years and saying goodbye is going to be hard. I also have an outline done for the next Mad World book.
